Yelp
During a weekend stay during the off-season in Montauk, we decided to take a seat for dinner at the Inlet. I had spent many years coming to Montauk, but shockingly this is the first time I had visited this rather cozy, local fish joint. I was told if you're looking for damn good fresh fish and sushi in the area, this is the spot to be.
Service :: I would've given this a 5-star review if it weren't for how the hostess handled us when we arrived. The place was packed and pumping, but we were left standing there for 15 minutes because no one was there to help us, we tried multiple times getting someones attention, but were unsuccessful. We finally found a table downstairs near the bar and sat ourselves
Appetizers
- Raw Bar :: knocked back a generous helping of raw clams and oysters. They were some of the freshest I've had in Montauk and felt like they were just plucked out of the sea. Must get
- Steamed Whole Artichoke :: Shockingly delicious! Arrived at the table with a dipping trays for butter and aioli. Damn good!
- Shumai :: your basic shumai, felt like it came from a package and quickly warmed up.. I would pass on it
Sushi
- Spicy Girl :: Spicy Tuna on top, pepper Tuna & mango inside, spicy mango sauce. Top notch! One of my favorites of the night
- Red Dragon Roll :: Blue Claw Crab & avocado inside, spicy crunchy Tuna on top. Loved, loved, loved the blue claw crab meat, tasty somewhat sweet and super fresh!
- Inlet Roll :: Crunchy, spicy Tuna, avocado on top, ponzu sauce & siracha~NO RICE.
Definitely worth a return visit. Get there early because it packs up fast!
