Upscale Italian spot with unique cocktails and pizzas

"Though Pioneer Square doesn't have a whole lot of upscale Italian places, there's no need to go out of your way for Bar Sosta. We'd be fine messing around with a glass of wine and a passable margherita pie in the white marble-inundated space only to avoid the divey pre-game bars in the neighborhood. The pizzas have a tasty chew and the salads are nicely dressed, but you should pass on the gummy and flavorless lasagna, unless you’ve never had a hot airplane meal mid-flight to Italy and are curious what that’s like." - Aimee Rizzo
"This fancy Italian restaurant in Pioneer Square is yet another recent addition to the Seattle pizza scene. It features a fully stocked bar, white marble tables, and birdcage chandeliers along with a menu that includes classic margherita pies and ones with breaded veal "crusts" (known to the rest of the world as veal parmigiana). We recently checked out Bar Sosta. Read our first thoughts here. " - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo
"This pizza place in Pioneer Square comes with extra pizzazz. The upscale pies slide across the marble bar at this spot from the veteran restaurateurs behind Seattle’s Italian fine-dining classic, Il Terrazzo Carmine. The small food menu features fascinating pizza options, including spicy shredded pork with onion jam or dry figs with goat cheese. There’s even a pizza made on a “crust” of thin breaded veal chop. This spot is way too sleek to be caught putting pineapple on pizza, but you can find the controversial topping in its version of the Bombay Sapphire Sparkling Lemon." - Vox Creative
"The Smeraldo family recently opened a bar called Bar Sosta right next door to their Pioneer Square Italian restaurant, serving as an adjacent project to their longtime Il Terrazzo Carmine." - Harry Cheadle
"Fine dining pizza meets even finer cocktails at Pioneer Square’s Bar Sosta. Unabashedly upscale, this new concept bar comes from the same folks behind Il Terrazzo Carmine next door. Whether or not you’re in the mood for a full dinner here, it’s a gorgeous spot to stop for a drink — white marble countertops and birdcage chandeliers draw the focus to neat shelves stocked with an impressive array of liquors and wines. But to truly bask in the luxury, try the Jungle Bird with aged rum, Campari, pineapple and just the right amount of brown sugar." - Brianna Gunter
