"Italic is trying very hard to make upscale Italian work in Austin. It mostly succeeds, especially if you focus on the food, and not on the sterile, somewhat out of place environment. We should start by warning you the decor here is pretty soulless - the restaurant seems more like it should be in Santa Monica than off North Congress. And it can also get expensive: you’ll need to spend a bit in order in to get the most out of your meal. The food, however, is very good. The carb bomb fiesta of a menu will send you home a happy customer. There isn’t a lot of quality Italian food in Austin, and this is some of the best. Food Rundown Bucatini All’Amatriciana With its pork belly, tomatoes, chili, and pecorino, this is our favorite of their pasta dishes. It’s extremely rich and will take you down. Soppressata Salami Pizza Pizza with honey? And spicy meats? You cannot pass that up. Proscuitto Salsa Verde Pizza Many of our favorite things, all rolled into one pizza: eggs, parmesan, and proscuitto. This is a serious pizza that should be ordered as a third option to share if you have a larger group." - Jordan Haro

Nice experience when visiting Austin. Great atmosphere. Wait staff was very nice and attentive. I ordered the margherita pizza and it was very good. Crust had excellent texture and the cheese and sauce had a great flavor. I'd come back here again for another if the experience repeats.

One of the good places at downtown Austin. I haven’t try any of their Italian foods but few of my colleagues had and they were happy about that. I ordered a chicken sandwich which came out good, well cooked and it was tender with a side of salad. If you like Italian food and looking for a convenient place at downtown Austin Italic could be a good option.

Pizza was good. Just enough spice, not too much fennel flavor in the Italian sausage. Great prices for happy hour. More of a trendy wine bar that sells food, but the food is good.

Simply delicious!! The atmosphere, the design, the service, wow! Was very excited to finally make it here and was not disappointed at all. They have a great happy hour menu too. The desserts are not only aesthetically pleasing to the eye but they are rich in taste. Seriously can't go wrong with anything on this menu.

I loved our meal here. We started with the prosciutto. It was so fresh and delicate! Then we both had the papardelle- they made the pasta there. The waiter walked us through the menu in the best way. I felt really prepared when ordering. He also helped me choose between two dishes when I wavered. I write this because I feel like this is rare customer service. Wish I could remember his name. He has a beard. Anyway then we had the tiramisu for dessert and it was rich and wonderful but not too sweet. I’d definitely eat here again and highly recommend it if you’re in the mood for Italian and like great service. Oh and the wine was fabulous too.. I had the one I think called ??? Barbara.

Came to Italic for my birthday dinner. The Sunday special is 3 courses for $30. I got the gnocchi and the flavor and freshness of ingredients blew me away. The Brussels sprout salad appetizer was also delicious. Highly recommend!

Everything from the atmosphere, to the staff, to food was perfect. Lots of natural light with large windows and a view of 6th street. Great options for vegetarians and gluten free people. One of the best lunches I've had! I definetly recomend the Butternut squash soup, don't let the name scare you away. It's very thick and creamy with a sweet flavor! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Make reservations and get there early to find parking.

I enjoyed the happy hour and the nice waiter. The soppressata on my pizza was delicious. They put a good amount on. I will definitely return.
