Ivanhoe Italian & American Restaurant

This is my 2nd time here! The atmosphere is very nice. I have been seated inside and out - both great! I was craving Eggs Benedict, so I ordered that and chicken piccata. (Yes, after a hard leg day workout... I wanted two meals) Funny story - When the server was bringing our food, he asked, " where's the third person?" I am that third person! I can eat! Anyways! Great tasting food, service was great! Constantly asked if I needed a refill (very important to me) Will be back again! Thanks Ivanhoe!

I came here to take my Dad for an early Fathers Day Brunch day before all the crowds, and I am so glad I did. He enjoyed his meal. The food was delicious and they serve great drinks. The ambience is really nice inside and they have outdoor patio seating. Servers and host were pleasant. Plenty of parking. Only gripe was that the outside of the building doesn't match the interior. Other than that, I will definitely come back and try other entrees on the menu.

We recently hosted my son's graduation party at this restaurant, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience from beginning to end. The communication leading up to the event was absolutely seamless—every question I had was answered promptly and thoroughly. The staff made planning feel easy and stress-free, which allowed me to focus on celebrating this special milestone with my son. The service on the day of the event was top-notch. Every team member was friendly, attentive, and professional, making sure that both we and our guests felt welcome and taken care of. From the moment we arrived to the last goodbye, the level of care and hospitality was beyond impressive. Now let’s talk about the food—delicious doesn’t even begin to cover it. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and received rave reviews from all our guests. From the appetizers to the main courses and dessert, everything was fresh and served at the perfect temperature. All of our guests had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and it made for a truly memorable evening. My son felt celebrated and special, which meant the world to me. Thank you to the entire team for helping us create such a joyful and unforgettable celebration. We will definitely be back for future events!

Update 29Dec2024: Came on Sunday at 1015, it was fairly empty. The valet is now $6, accept cash or venmo. Ordered the chilaquiles with steak and was very juicy and tender. My daughter ordered French toast and commented on how fluffy and delicious it was. The waiter was amazing. My wife ordered a cappuccino but later wanted drip coffee, and he gave us a complimentary refill. Original Post: Had the red chilaquiles with chorizo. Would be happy ordering this all the time, but french toast looked amazing. The waiter refilled my coffee constantly. The only issue is the unnecessary valet, have the 5$ cash on hand for it.

The food was great! I had never tried chilaquiles before, and I'm so glad I did... I had the chilaquiles verdes with Chorizo and omg life changing moment! I kind of wish I would have gotten avocado on top because it needed it! But that's just an opportunity for me to go back! And that, of course, is a plus! My boyfriend and I were feeling particularly fatty that day, so we also ordered a stack of pancakes with strawberries and bananas... again so yummy! Very delicious... couldn't have been better. The bf ordered the Shortrib Eggs Benedict... They were on a bed of mashed potatoes as opposed to the traditional English muffins, but he didn't mind that he actually loved it! Insisted I have a bite, and yes, they were pretty good. Overall experience was good however when we finished our meal our server was no where to be found we waited a while, finally I asked another server if he could please send the guy over so I could pay and get out of there. Looking back, he kept disappearing randomly. Other than that little situation, our time at Ivanhoe was pretty decent, and we will definitely be back! Check it out!

Needed a sports bar to watch the Detroit Lions game Thanksgiving morning and they were happy to accommodate. I called ahead and when we arrived the game was awaiting us on the bar TVs! We snacked on some great texmex breakfast (huevos rancheros) and the southwest egg rolls…both hit the spot! Was impressed by the variety on the breakfast menu. The whole restaurant/bar was tidy and spacious. The service was great.

Great place for brunch. They also have a decent happy hour. The inside has a nice home-like feel to it. They also have a great large patio. The patio is dog-friendly. The brunch is great. Decent portions too. The country fried steak is delicious. Can also recommend the chicken wings, loved the Thai flavor. No bottomless mimosas though. There's a small lot but it's valet only. You can also find street parking on Riverside but you'll probably have to walk a bit.

Sadly this place just wasn’t it. We went for Brunch/Lunch and we decided to sit outside. The outside booth area tucked in the corner definitely needed a sweeping and wipe down. Our waiter came and took our drink order. I asked for a Paloma and the drink that was brought to me was definitely a margarita. I told the waiter that it didn’t taste like a paloma at all - I couldn’t taste any grapefruit juice, it was margarita mix and tequila. He told me they only put a splash of grapefruit so I asked if I could have a new one with more in it. The next drink I was served was watered down tequila and lime juice. I had to order a cup of grapefruit juice on the side and mix it myself. Then we were told there was no more kids menu which wasn’t great since we had our toddler with us. I saw pictures on google with a kids section on the menu - the most recent picture was less than a year ago so they must have recently changed the menu to get rid of the kids selection. Overall the food was meh - nothing good enough to come back for. There’s plenty of better options around.
