How Jack Allen’s Kitchen Remained Successful in Austin For a Past Decade - Eater Austin

"With an expansive yet unchanging menu of Texas comfort dishes, full plates of food like burgers and chicken-fried anything, and a family-friendly atmosphere, the restaurant is unlikely to be called “trendy.” However, dig deeper, and you’ll find a commitment to local farmers, a community of giving, and two larger-than-life operating partners — Jack Gilmore and Tom Kamm — who have created a people-first culture that spawned six successful restaurants over a decade (with another one coming soon)." - Erin Russell

Knocked it out of the park! Flavors were perfect, nothing bland, just deliciousness! Made it there during Happy Hour, 1/2 off appetizers, even better! TJ was great as server, available but never intrusive, Adam offered fun suggestions for my next trip to Austin, I found my new favorite. 100%!

Google
Amazing food and vibe! Service was phenomenal! The bourbon apple crisp was the best I’ve ever had. I told my wife that for my next birthday we were going to drive from Houston to Austin to eat here.

We were here to celebrate hubby’s birthday. One of us being vegetarian, our choices were slim but the server Bryan was great! He suggested what to go with and even brought a sample of the appetizer that we had first shortlisted. When the dinner was done, we were debatinf whether to go with dessert as we were so full but he came and almost whispered ‘but you guys are celebrating’ and insisted on the dessert which was complimentary. For a vegetarian starter the spinach ravioli is 👍🏼

Google
Twisted Cobb Salad... they left out the chicken! I double checked the ticket and it was a regular order (did not hold the chicken). $18 for a bowl of greens is a bad deal. The green goddess dressing is very good though.

Jack Allen’s is always such a good option. I like to call it boujee chilis because it has such a wide variety of foods that are agreeable with so many people but also it’s so much better than chilis. I got the Tejana enchilada and it is so good! I love the fried egg that goes on the top of it all. The smashed guacamole is amazing and the chips and salsa are also always a staple at the table. Great place to eat in Austin!

Google
We can always count on Jack Allen’s to provide the experience and food we are craving. This is a lovely space, with a variety of seating types (booth, high top by bar, square table, outdoor/screened porch seating), and the waitstaff is friendly and welcoming. I’ve never ordered anything here I didn’t love, but this time I was there for the terrific happy hour — $1 off drinks and half price appetizers! We got beers from their choice of local taps and after enjoying the taste of pimiento cheese and crackers they bring every table, we dug in on the appetizers. The Smashed Guacamole is a MUST, the best in the city, and we added the Crunchy Catfish and Slaw and the Barbacoa Stackers. YUM. This filled us up, but we couldn’t resist a takeout order of Apple Cobbler. Every single bite we had at Jack Allen’s was outstanding!

Google
Great happy hour Monday-Friday 3-630 with half off appetizers and $2 off drinks. Loved their smoked brisket quesadilla. The place maintains a local feel and flavors. They have a high indoor dining area of tables, booths, and bar seating, including a back room that looks out on the creek. They share a large free parking lot with adjacent businesses in the strip mall. It's just a block from mopac.

***UPDATE: Jack Allen’s has since reached out to me to make this right, so I have updated and increased stars for service. Visited this location on May 23rd. The meal that I had was wonderful. However, the service that our group received was not. Our waiter, Brandon seemed to have an attitude from the moment he approached the table. He checked on our table once and then next time he came to the table, he put the check down. We had two in our group that wanted to order dessert, so we tried to flag him down , but it took quite a bit of time. When he finally came back to the table, we asked if we could have a dessert menu and he was very annoyed and rattled off the desserts very quickly and unintelligible. We ordered a dessert, and I asked him if he could please separate our checks as we had four in our party. He snatched the check out of my hand and very curly said, “yep.” When he came back to bring the checks, he knocked over a full glass of water, which went all over my phone, credit card and lap. It traveled the whole length of the table and went into another person’s lap as well. We were both soaking wet. Brandon was very apologetic and did the best he could by bringing some more napkins, but we were soaking wet. Just as we were getting ready to leave, someone who we assume was the manager, he did not introduce himself, came over and asked how everything was. He was told there was a spill. We told him that two of us were soaked and he said, “well at least it was just water, have a good night.” And he promptly walked away. While the food was delicious, the service left much to be desired. We went to an event after dinner, and my colleague and I were wet through our clothes for a good while. Had Brandon’s attitude been better from the get-go, he may not have spilled the water. I understand that was an accident, but the attitude mixed with getting water poured in my lap, mixed with the manager not seeming to care at all, was a bad combination. When I attempted to reach out to Jack Allen’s on their website, I found there is no way to send an email to them. I sent a message on Instagram with no response. I wanted to reach out privately to be respectful, but there was no effective way to do this. This is not the Jack Allen’s experience that I’ve come to know.

Yelp
I had an amazing experience at Jack Allen's. We made a reservation and were promptly seated with a great server. I ordered the Killer Burger with Swiss cheese, Thousand Island dressing, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes. I really liked the way my burger was cooked and the flavors of everything. I ordered a mix of sweet potato fries and regular fries and loved the regular fries! This a great place to go with a family because it's lively without being too loud to hear one another. I can also see this being a great place for a dinner with co workers or even a date night! We came here for a casual dinner and it was perfect as well! It's Austin so there's no dresscode but feel free to dress up! I've been here a handful of times and never had a bad experience here! I have yet to save room for dessert but their menu (the server's memorize the menu!) sounds amazing!

Yelp
Ambiance: 4/5: nothing too special about the ambiance. It has your typical American restaurant feel. Service: 5/5: Our waiter was really friendly and attentive. Came around our table a couple of times to make sure we were doing ok. Food: 5/5: I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it was a lot better than what I was expecting. Its a dish a would probably get again. Drinks: 4/5: Ordered the espresso martini. I liked that the martini glass was a big larger than a regular martini glass, but the taste wasn't all there. Overall a good experience. I'll most likely come back.

Yelp
Jack Allen's is always a solid choice to meet folks for lunch. I met a former colleague today and enjoyed the fried shrimp taco special. He had the green chili pork tacos. I love that they have a patio because on a beautiful Austin day like today, it's great to sit there and have a view of nature. Sometimes you have to make a reservation it gets full fast, but today we were able to walk in and get a nice patio table!

Yelp
Came here during happy hour, and I really enjoyed the food because the portions were good, the flavors and texture were there and the prices were just very reasonable. My favorite thing was the sun-dried tomato ravioli because you dip the garlic bread in the sauce and it's so decadent. I also got the crab dip and the catfish, which was perfectly breaded the sauce accompanied it well. And overall our server was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
I made a reservation for brunch. Everyone here is super friendly and the service is superb. I had a mimosa and the pulled pork Benedict, which is made on top of fried green tomatoes instead of biscuits or english muffins. It was so decadent and good. I would definitely recommend it. This is a great home, cooking type of place with a very friendly and lively atmosphere.

Yelp
I found a baby roach smashed in the menu! However, the food was good, as always. Just hard to get past the roach part. Service was great.

Yelp
I was looking for a good happy hour deal and was so pleasantly surprised by Jack Allen's. While this location is unassuming on the outside, the inside was bustling on a Friday evening and nice but not too formal. For happy hour, they have half off starters and $1 off drinks which is a great deal. I had a pomegranate sangria frozen Margarita which was good and strong and tried three starters. They were all really good and the catfish really stood out with how lightly crispy it was fried. Our server was also friendly and attentive and food came out pretty quickly.

Yelp
Personally, I like Jack Allen's. My significant other, has it quite found the niche there, but indulges me to go periodically. I love their trout, both the meal option and the salad. You can't go wrong with either. I really enjoy their pimento cheese. Funny given I don't even like pimento cheese. The staff is always attentive and helpful. I really miss their brunch on Sundays and not sure if they still do it or not recommend them highly.

Yelp
Came here for lunch during the workday for a quick meal! The bar area and seating is lively and bustling during lunch! There was no wait time. I ordered a spicy pasta and I thought it was above average. I would have liked it to be spicier, but I think most people will enjoy it.

Yelp
Came in for brunch. We did not have a reservation but we were seated with a really short wait time which was great. Service was not consistent. We ordered two Cucumber jalapeño Ritas and as you can see from the pictures, they were made differently. One has cucumbers and no jalapeños, and one has jalapeños and no cucumbers. This is the same drink made at the same bar, delivered at the same. We had to ask for some jalapeños to add to the drink that was missing them. The chicken dish was nice and hot and crunchy and delicious according to the person in my party that ordered it. I ordered the barbacoa stackers as my entree. The nacho chip part was wet and soggy. I had to pick it out to eat the barbacoa and the coleslaw veggies. The meat was cold and left a carpet of cold grease in my mouth. Parking was great. At our dining time, there was plenty of parking spots. This was my first experience at this location.

Yelp
Visited Jack Allen's on my 2023 list of "Veterans Day Freebies". Came here last year and it was memorable. Any entree on the menu is free for veterans. I want to take a minute and recognize this organization for the way they honor veterans. Some have a select menu, some just give you bits of their menu, but not Jack Allen's. They offer any, yes any entree free to veterans. That is honorable. I tried the "New York Strip Steak" and my wife had the "Tom's House salad". My steak had a slight hint of too much pepper, but that's just my sensitivity. Over all the taste was great. Lots of flavor and the steak was juicy. I had them put the gravy in the side, that's why it looks so bare. Thumbs up for this meal. My wife had the Tom's House Salad, with Cilantro Chicken. Their salads are always consistently fresh and good. She found the chicken was cooked perfectly. I could see her doing the happy dance as she ate. The service staff was amazing. Marcy our server was helpful. She knew the menu well and offered some great recommendations. Our food was brought to us by another server, Jose. He was so sincere in his appreciation of my military service. He took the time to recommended two of their fresh made hot sauces. Both were literally "eye opening"! On the way out, meet some of the executives, nice to see them out on a day like today. Thank you Jack Allen for all you do for our community. Yelp
Delicious food and drinks! Staff were super friendly and accommodating for us and our baby. Please try their pimento cheese it is spectacular! I love eggs benedicts and I can honestly say they had a great option with barbacoa, I finished ALL of my plate! I wish they had more coffee options but overall their family ambiance really made us want to go back soon!

Yelp
This is not my favorite place for a few reasons. Wait time can be too long. Uncomfortable seats in the booths. Small menu that doesn't get updated too much. Despite it all, if you're here at the right time and get a nice table, you can enjoy your visit. Slow braised barbacoa enchiladas are delicious.
google avatar

Mark F.

Yelp
I enjoyed the 13 spice chicken pasta. The serving was plentiful and very tasty particularly the chicken. I thought the price for the meal was very appropriate for the amount of food you get and I left full. The spice level was right on for my taste, it had a slight bite but nothing overbearing. This will be one of my favorite regular dishes for future Jack Allen visits.

Yelp
Never disappointed when I stop at Jack Allen's Kitchen. I've been coming to this restaurant for years and can say it's one of Austin's staples. The food is always on point, the drinks are amazing, and the staff and service are phenomenal. When friends come to visit from out of town, they always want to come here (and I will always take them)! Great for lunch, happy hour, brunch (possibly just on weekends- unsure), and dinner! You're missing out if you haven't stopped by here yet!

Yelp
I !!! LOVE !!! Jack Allen's. I don't get here very often because I don't eat that much straight up American. I also don't get that many meals where hard drinking is going to be the order of the day. Jack Allen's has a great bar, so drinking is something you want to plan to do. But I am always insanely happy when I go to Jack Allen's - and I keep asking myself why I don't come back here all the time. * * * Everything on the menu is good. This time it was enchiladas ... enchiladas that were totally respectable. Dessert was a flourless chocolate torte. What they don't tell you on the menu is that the torte comes with a raspberry drizzle. Torte dipped in raspberry is like chips dipped in salsa. Or a plug put into a socket. Or any other intense connection metaphor you can think of involving two elements that produce great pleasure when brought into contact. Either way, the happiest I was all day was when I was eating mouthfuls of torte dipped in the raspberry drizzle. And I had already started the day pretty happy. * * * One comedy touch associated with this Jack Allen's. It has been furnished with the restaurant furniture no one else wanted to buy. Tall uncomfortable high bar chairs at high tiny tables so you balance precariously. Or you can sit at a booth with the table at tits level. You are going to have to raise your arms good and high to eat. I suppose you can look forward to an exciting delts and lats workout just raising your arms high enough to get to your beer and your food. But really ... what was the designer thinking? * * * But with enough good food and drink in you, you will forget about the tables. Go to Jack Allen's. Eat well. Eat dessert. Bring a designated driver. Uber is a thing.

Yelp
Superb trout salad! The Peach was as much dessert as drink. Always great service and healthy food fast!

Yelp
I was given this spot as a suggestion for Happy Hour. Although I did t make it in time, I did really enjoy the food, atmosphere, and cocktails. I was greeted quickly by a hostess and sat immediately. Within 60 seconds my waiter TJ offered me suggestions on drink and meal options. The Crab stuffed chicken was delicious! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Yelp
This visit convinced me that everyone I know is right: JAK is a wonderful place for dinner. I had never before found the menu interesting (a few dishes overly complicated, too much beef and pork). However, Companion chose this place and I try to be agreeable (plus I had a gift card). I arrived first, and was greeted and seated immediately, even without a reservation. The JAK dinner salad was very fresh. The feta cheese adds a welcome contrast to the champagne vinaigrette. How did I want my salmon cooked? Medium? "Medium rare?" I ventured, and it was! Who *does* that? The timing of the rest of the meal was perfect. Companion (who routinely finds fault with food AND prices) proclaimed her salad very, very delicious, with no mention of price or value. I'd recommend quicker service from the bar (my recurring complaint about Salt Traders Coastal Cooking, their other highly successful venture). A very light sorbet or fruit choice as a third dessert option would be welcome (but then I'd have to order dessert!) Jack Allen's Kitchen is a lovely place for that all-important first dinner date (after the obligatory coffee, then casual lunch). It's also perfect for out-of-state company (Texas isn't all BBQ and breakfast tacos) and for your in-laws (but only if you really like them. There is a children's menu, but please leave the kids at home until they know how to behave. You deserve to enjoy a nice meal out, after all. Right?

Yelp
We ordered Salmon and Chicken. Both dishes were delicious and the staff were friendly. Will definitely go back!

Yelp
Somehow despite being in Austin for over a decade, I haven't been to any of Jack Allen's locations. I've had some leftover bites a few times, but first time in person and love the vibe, love the service and the food is good too. Came here for brunch on a Sunday morning right as it opened and was able to get seated without a wait surprisingly. Meal starts with complimentary pimento cheese and crackers, which is good. Their brunch menu is mouthwatering, whether you go sweet or savory. My wife got the french toast with some amazing vanilla whipped cream, while I opted for the chicken biscuits with gravy and added some eggs. Vital farm eggs are super orange which I found pretty cool. The fried chicken is super juicy and the gravy has a little kick that coats the biscuit. The breakfast potatoes add more heft, but nothing too special. But everything is fantastic, especially if you go halfsies for sweet and savory. They also do complimentary dessert for birthdays and my cousin got the chocolate torte which was dark and decadent. Especially given how expensive Austin has gotten, nice to know there's still somewhere like Jack Allen's where you can get a nicer meal without breaking the bank!

Yelp
Corporate meeting luncheon. Food was perfect!! Well seasoned and fresh. Service was great!! Check in not so much but the overall dining experience trumped the initial greet. Atmosphere is very refreshing. Definitely worth the wait and drive. Note, parking is limited so plan accordingly to traffic peaks.

The waiters were super nice And the food was delicious I love that it is warm ish in there And there was some good free candy

Yelp
Skinny Margaritas and Jalapeno Crab Dip (baked crab, cream cheese, jalapenos, bacon gratin) what more do you need in life?! - Love the neighborhood atmosphere, and service is always on point! Great HH specials (50%) apps and $1 off cocktails. Grab a bar stool and post up for some friendly neighborhood banter!

Yelp
In the heart of town, where the streets unwind, Lies Jack Allen's, a gem of its kind. The food's above average, though not sublime, But the drinks, my friend, they'll make you chime. Amongst the chatter, the laughter, the clinks, Jack's vibe is warm, like cozy minks. Both food and drinks, they pass the test, At Jack Allen's, we're truly blessed. So raise a glass to this spot so grand, Where good times flow like grains of sand. Not the most exquisite, it's true, But at Jack Allen's, you'll feel brand new!

Dewayne N.

Yelp
Jack Allen's has been so consistent and reliable for a great dining experience! My favorite is the chicken fried pork! It never disappoints! Flavor, preparation, and presentation are always superior. We had a great dining experience today for lunch. The staff handles themselves in a superior manned even when the entire state internet was down and we were redeeming a gift card. They went the extra mile more than once today and that's what keeps us coming back time and again! I've never had a bad meal or bad service and the reliable factor is the staff are long time players there so it's not uncommon to have the same staff year over year. I'll always be a loyal customer!

LEIGH ANN B.

Yelp
Great evening. Greeted quickly and pleasantly. Waiter arrived and was conversational and efficient and nice. Manager was attentive and stopped to visit. Got CFC and hubs got pork tacos. Both were really good. Keep up the good work. We'll be back.

Yelp
We often go to Jack Allen's other locations. This is the first time at this particular location. Food was exceptional so were the drinks. Must try their mango habanero Rita. The country style salad with achiote chicken was great. Impeccable service. Our server Biff was exceptional and very knowledgeable. Nice setting with roomy booths.
google avatar

James C.

Yelp
It's pretty good! Service was good and overall good experience. Crab stuffed chicken. Very tasty and creamy cheesy sauce is well a balanced. Chicken. Is a bit dry Potato is pan fried mashed potatoes, Patty, very good. Chicken, fried chicken, very good flavor, somewhat thin, but tender. Mashed potato is very good. margarita and whiskey peach cocktail is good, fairly strong as our server warned and I like it! Cheesecake is good. Cobbler is good too but very sweet like all cobblers are.
google avatar

Whitney K.

Yelp
Jack Allen's is a solid spot. If you are in the mood for some country cooking then this will be a win. We were particularly impressed with the queso and the green chili pork.
google avatar

Adam N.

Yelp
After trying other Jack Allen's locations here in Austin, decided to give this one a try since it was close to the offices of some folks we were meeting for lunch (best business lunch spot btw!). The Anderson Lane location is tucked away in a shopping center so parking can be a little tricky, especially at lunch. The inside was consistent with how the other locations were decorated. Went with one of my usual chicken sandwiches although everyone else got their food, and mine for some reason didn't come out right away. The manager did come over and offer to bring me something else to munch on while everyone else was eating which I appreciated. Service was definitely a bit off, especially with the delay in my food and then when we were waiting to pay the bill-it took entirely too long. Going to chalk it up to an off day for our server, but otherwise a pleasant experience. The Cedar Park and Round Rock locations are definitely my favorites, but would come here again.
google avatar

Leah L.

Yelp
Every time we have been here it has been a good experience. Even though it is a chain with multiple locations, it doesn't have that chain restaurant feeling. It feels more like a family kitchen. The food is fresh and tasty, and the service is great.
google avatar

Gregory S.

Yelp
First time visit and it was very good the service was amazing our Server did a magnificent job he explained the restaurant very well he gave us a pimento cheese appatizer and it was good The Food dad ordered the Beef barbacoa Enchiladas and he liked it very much and i ordered the Beakfast Quesadilla it was very good we both got a free side of Fruit course you get the fruit free anyways with each brunch entree the ambiance was very nice and nice attractive wall decorations

Yelp
I was in search of the best chicken fried steak and Jack Allen came up in the top ten here in Austin.. The Ambience of this place is second to none when being compared to other restaurants that would not be considered 4 or 5 Starr eateries. Very spacious. I did a to go order so I didn't get to have the entire experience of Jack Allen but the eyes liked what they saw. Now for the chicken fried steak I must say that the steak was on point, very tender and favorable I would say the % meat to breading ratio would have gone in the meat favor for the average foodie... Service was fast upon entering the establishment , again I did a to go order. As for the chicken fried steak I can't truly rank it without having experienced the other top 9.. Stay tune.

Yelp
We love Jack Allen's! Best guac in town, great drinks, excellent service. This is one of our go-to places!

MamaKitty G.

Yelp
Exceptional food in a lovely but casual atmosphere. Get your taste buds ready! Even the simplest of dishes have complex layers of flavors. For example, their homemade chips & salsa! And I never thought I would crave pimento cheese but there's is the best! Other favorites are the burgers (one of the only places that knows how to cook to correct temperature!) , sweet potato fries are great (much better than the regular ones), and the skillet of green Chile pork tacos. Anytime we are starving on a random Tuesday or a special occasion, we go to Jack Allen's. We appreciate the consistency of quality, however be sure to check a to-go order carefully. Ours were a bit wrong twice. But the management is very courteous in receiving constructive criticism.

Yelp
The food was great!! I would highly recommend the guacamole it was the most delicious thing at this restaurant ! The service was good very friendly and efficient. The restaurant itself gives a cute cottage feel . The bathrooms were also very clean! Overall it was great thank you for a wonderful experience!

Yelp
My spouse wanted the rainbow trout and I tried the chicken fried New York strip steak. Excellent soft and juicy steak with very good gravy, mashed potatoes with a medley of vegetables. My spouse enjoyed the rainbow trout, grilled with pecans and strips of apples (guess Granny Smith) with spinach. Others had , chicken fried pork and chicken fried chicken, everyone thought the food was excellent. We will visit again. Service was very good with the restaurant about 60% of capacity for a Monday. Ambiance of place was good with tables and chairs cleaned promptly and the decor very appropriate for the price point.

Yelp
This was our first time at Jack Allen's and we absolutely loved it. It has a great atmosphere that lends to a fun, family dinner. The food was delicious. Our waiter, Brandon, was the icing on the cake. He was fun, attentive, and extremely helpful!

Yelp
I still have yet to try Jack Allen's Kitchen in-person and fresh which speaks to just how delicious their food is! My girlfriend brought me home a Fat Jack Burger * hickory sauce, cheddar cheese, bacon, onion, dill pickles, jalapeño mayonnaise w/fries. Wow, just wow... it had probably sat for about 30 min before I got to take my first bite and the flavors were BOLD. I cannot wait to try it fresh!

Yelp
Perfectly delectable cuisine .. exceptional service .. in a fun and upbeat atmosphere !! Always divine.

Yelp
Rating: 7/10 This place has really solid American southern style food. Every dish we got was up to standard. 1. The breakfast sandwich was packed with scrambled eggs, crispy potato, delicious bread and chipotle, and strips of bacon. 7/10 2. The buttermilk chicken salad and the country club fancy chicken salad were pretty good too. 7/10 The interior is clean and ambient as well! I recommend if you enjoy southern food. Personally, I am not a huge fan so I don't see myself coming back but this is just my personal preference.

Yelp
We ended up here after trying another to dine at a different establishment. We were greeted graciously and taken straight to a table. Jeff our waiter was absolutely wonderful and sold me on the special of the day. Our food was great and service was impeccable. This is our second time dining at this location and we will definitely return.

Yelp

Visited on a Monday evening and our party was Sat immediately. Since it was our first time there, our server offered us a small portion of the pimiento cheese cracker app on the house! The half off apps during happy hour is an amazing deal! (Total came out to ~55, which was crazy for how much we ordered) The portions were huge and everything was delicious. The catfish was the highlight of the meal - it perfectly crispy and flaky and tender (it was falling apart as we picked it up). What we ordered: - Crunchy catfish and slaw (HH) - Barbacoa stackers (HH) - Smoked barbacoa quesadillas (HH) - Smashed guacamole (HH) - Chicken fried chicken breast - Chicken tinga tacos

Yelp
We struggled to find a place to book a work dinner for 15 people. I was a bit worried about this place given the location, but the food, service, and inside atmosphere was amazing! The food!!! Love love the mocktail options.

Yelp
Jack Allen's Kitchen is fantastic! The food is delicious - I loved the chicken fried beef ribs. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff is super friendly. The drinks, especially the margaritas, are great too! Perfect spot for a tasty meal with friends or family.

Yelp
I went to this place for the first time on Thursday night and had their 5 Cheese Mac and Cheese with Chicken. Absolutely amazing!!! The Strawberry margarita was delicious, but strong. You only need one Our waiter was amazing, hey Westbrook (if you ever see this!) In conclusion, we went back the next day and I got the Chicken Enchiladas and devoured my plate. We had another awesome waiter, TJ, who took care of us!! The Smashed Guacamole is delicious as well with a unique taste that I surprisingly enjoyed and would order again. I usually don't like avocado so that says something, and it went well with the enchiladas and fish tacos (my best friend ordered that and was obsessed)! I'd recommend this place because there's friendly staff, a comforting atmosphere, and good food that comes out QUICKLY!

Yelp
Great location and slightly different vibe than some of the other locations. Same solid frozen margs, especially the strawberry one! Ventured out a little and got their spicy watermelon marg on the rocks, was alright but would def prefer their frozens! Pimento cheese with homemade chips are one of my fav appetizers, and the crab dip is another great small plate or app for the table! This time I went mainly with apps, which JAK also does really well at!
