Huge selection, elegant store, some items are a little pricy but also some good deals. This is a very pleasant place to shop. The store has welcoming lighting and thoughtful signage explaining various foods and traditions. There are a lot of shoppers, but the aisles are wide so it never feels too crowded. There's an indoor dining area where you can eat the things you've purchased. There's also a restaurant right in the middle of the store and a rice bakery — great for people who can't have gluten. I loved that there's a section just for items from Jeju. You'll be able to find at least two options for most packaged foods. They also sell beauty products, kitchen equipment, prepared foods, frozen and marinated meat in a lot of cuts, seafood, and fresh produce. In general, the prices are a little bit higher here than at H-Mart or Kukje. However, the bibimbap for $12 is a very competitive price, as well as kimbap for $6. They sell various kinds of bugak made in-store for $6 per bag, which is really high, but they also have mass-produced kim bugak for only $2 per bag — cheaper than anywhere else. It's between $2.50 to $7 per sheet mask, which is likely the most popular beauty product here. I drink Osulloc teas so I know they're much cheaper on Amazon. The prices are really hit or miss depending on what you get.

This is a newly open Korean market. They have a huge selection of specific Korean food as well as their makeup. They even have traditional Korean rice cake. The environment is very elegant and big. They even have some restaurants inside. Their staff were OK not the friendliest. But they do help you if you need to. I will go for their seafood. They are very cheap with a huge amount of selection.

This store is impressively clean and well-organized, with wide aisles and excellent product visibility. There's no odd smell like in some budget markets. Prices are comparable to other stores, and their frozen seafood was surprisingly fresh with no off smell. However, I wish they offered live seafood and had a better food court setup. The seating area is small and not ideal for dine-in. Long Review I was really impressed by how clean and visually appealing the store was. All items were neatly displayed, and the high ceilings combined with wide, open aisles made it easy to browse and find products. Unlike some budget markets, there was no strange or unpleasant smell. The prices were reasonable and in line with other markets in the area. I also tried some of their frozen seafood, which is often hit or miss. However, here, it was fresh without the usual lingering odor that sometimes develops over time—definitely a pleasant surprise. That said, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. First, I was a bit disappointed that they don’t offer live seafood, which is commonly found in many Korean and Asian markets. Second, the food court options felt lacking. While there is a sushi bar inside to the right of the main entrance, it seems more like a quick stop for shoppers rather than a comfortable dining space. In the center, there’s a large Korean restaurant run by a well-known chef, and to the left, there's a bakery. They also offer pre-packed meals that can be picked up and paid for with your groceries, and there’s a designated space to eat. However, that dining area feels quite limited in size and could definitely use some expansion.

My sister, niece, daughter, and I visited Jagalchi on a weekday morning, and we were blown away by the sheer size of the store! The parking was plentiful, and the massive space offered a huge variety of ready-to-eat foods. You pick your items as you shop and pay at the counter. We grabbed a bunch early on, not realizing even more tempting selections were deeper in the store! The seafood pancake was fantastic, and the Korean BBQ, served with steamed veggies and rice in separate containers, was a hit. My niece loved the vegetarian pancake. For dessert, we got chocolate cake and mango cake—both delicious, but the chocolate cake stood out for me, not too sweet and delightfully light. The prices for the prepared food were reasonable, and the place was spotless, likely because it’s new. There’s also a sit-down restaurant in the middle, plus a bakery, coffee shop, and sections for groceries and pretty much everything you need in an Asian market. We’ll definitely be back!

Jagalchi Supermarket is a gem for anyone craving authentic Korean groceries and cuisine! They offer an impressive selection of Korean products, from pantry staples to unique bakery items. The fresh fruits are top-notch, and the wide variety of ready-to-go Korean dishes is perfect for a quick, delicious meal. The store is spotlessly clean, creating a pleasant shopping experience. Bonus points for their range of Korean beauty products! Highly recommend for quality and variety.

Google
Jagalchi, the NEWEST Korean grocery store in Daly City isn't just a grocery store, they have many fresh, made-in-house, and ready-to-go foods. There's a restaurant called "Pogu" and a bakery inside as well. They also sell Korean skin care products. We bought pickled scallions, spicy salmon California rolls, beef bulgogi kimbap, salmon, and unagi nigiri plate. Everything was so delicious! 😋 Would go back if I'm in the area to try the other dishes. 😊

Found lots of imported and exclusive items I cannot find at Kuhje Supermarket and H Mart like the Pepero New Jeans Limited Edition White Chocolate Box. Prices are reasonable with Korean Snacks. Very Spacious and Clean Supermarket with a hot food section. All parts of the store is like having a quick tour of Korea. I enjoyed going here on Grand Opening Day which landed on my Birthday with a good friend of mine to celebrate my birthday and enjoyed my shopping experience.

Jagalchi Korean Food Complex in Daly City was a great surprise for us as out-of-town visitors. The location is clean, easy to find, and cost-effective for everything it offers. We stopped to shop, eat, and grab some snacks to go, and it was well worth it. The food options are impressive. We tried the tteokbokki in a rice bread bowl and a roasted sweet potato from the bakery, both were delicious and full of flavor. The grocery store is well stocked with Korean snacks, sauces, frozen items, and fresh seafood. It’s not your typical grocery stop, it’s more like a food destination. There’s also a sit-down restaurant inside that serves everything from bulgogi bowls to Korean soups, and the flavors were authentic and satisfying. The staff was helpful and the entire place had a well-organized flow. It can get busy, and some popular items do sell out fast, so go early if you can. The lines moved reasonably well and the energy inside felt lively without being overwhelming. If you’re anywhere near Daly City or making a trip through the Bay Area, Jagalchi is a great spot to stop, eat, shop, and take a few treats home. Follow me and friend me for more honest reviews that help you make the most of every stop.

Yelp
Having a bar inside a supermarket is a good idea. It makes it much easier to wait for one's spouse while they shop.

Yelp
Loving the experience at Jalgachi. The kids love all the different options especially the fresh made sushi. Always something new to try everytime we visit. Store has died down and not as busy as when it first opened. Much better in the mornings.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday and it was PACKED. Definitely come on a weekday if you can to get a better experience. The grocery store itself is such a fun experience if you love grocery shopping. You can buy some hot foods or sushi to eat there, enjoy it in the bakery, and grocery shop! Really clean grocery store so I would recommend if you're in the area and are looking for something to do :)

Yelp
WOWWWWWWWWWWWWW THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN ON EARTH. A BAR?? A RESTAURANT??? SKINCARE SETS FROM KOREA? No need to spend money on flights to Korea you get the best of the best here. The black sesame latte I had here was amazing amazing amazing. To go japchae SOLID samples??? Of frozen products?? Absolutely amazing. A Korean superstore in a mall in Daly City needs to be a must for your visit to the area

Yelp
Everything in the store is so well organized and well kept! Despite the huge crowds, the store manages to keep clean and control the patrons well. It's crowded, but for good reason! Fresh produce, seafood, and meat and an assortment of Korean snacks you can only find here or in Korea! Seems like H-Matt doesn't even have this great of an assortment. Not to mention the wonderful pre-made foods that are well priced as well! I will definitely come back (but on a weekday next time to avoid the crowd )

Yelp
Korean market stepped up a notch! Reminds me of a a Korean Whole Food Market! Lots of meats, seafood to choose from for your own semi-home- cooking! Also a bar counter to eat sushi when you're hungry before shopping. It's fresh and friendly service. The store is huge and organized. It's almost a cultural experience for those who don't know a whole lot of Korean food & ingredients. You will find it at this market. Very organized and clean market. Energetic store! If you can't make it to Korea, go to Jagalchi for food adventure.

Yelp
Jagalchi reminds me of a Korean Whole Foods...bright, spacious, items nicely displayed with various stations of prepared foods, fresh seafood, marinated meats, bakery but with a restaurant/bar in the center of the complex. Basquia - Rice Flour Bakery is located inside Jagalichi but not a fan due to the texture, lack of moisture, flavor as items are made with rice flour. Great option for someone with gluten-allergies. Best time to visit is the weekday morning with less crowds, not rushed and moving with the "herd". Next time, I'll have a plan as i was definitely eyeing the shortribs (both flanken and English cut), pork, some prepared foods, sides (banchans) and makgeolli (Korean sparkling, raw-rice wine). Located off Highway 280 at Serramonte. Plenty of mall parking.

Yelp
Jagalchi's been open for a few months and the fam & I made a day trip to check it out. There's plenty of parking near the main entrance on the northeast side. Or try your luck near Old Navy with all the mall shoppers. Huge, clean, has gluten free Rice Bakery Basquia, restaurant Pogu, a whole fresh sushi section with oyster bar, and so much more! Things we bought: Fresh veggies & fruits Mangosteen was $10/lb, ended up with a 3lb bag of about 15 pieces Microwaveable white sweet potatoes Bulgogi Kimbap was sooo good!! I ate almost the whole tray haha. They also have the fish cake variety. I didn't get to try the ready to eat Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap but the fam loved it! Sushi: Classic CA rolls w/ masago Fresh Salmon nigiri with cooked ebi shrimp, hamachi yellowtail Kimchi of course, solid flavor and is spicy! Pork Mandu buns-- as authentic as it gets! The filling tasted exactly like the Goon Mandu pan fried dumplings at Tofu Plus in Cupertino. Injeolmi dusted tteok rice cakes were more savory than I anticipated. There was this rainbow colored rice cake that was pricey at $14 and it did not taste good, flavor or texture-wise. Basquia Rice Bakery had samples of the creamy spicy rosé tteokbokki rice cakes with a chunk of fresh bread. They sell both rosé and original versions in a bread bowl. We also got sulpang pastries in strawberry cream & Dubai pistachio chocolate flavors. Sulpang texture is so interesting; it's a mix between sponge cake and firm Filipino puto rice cake. Don't be fooled by their Dubai inspired chocolate bar-- it's made of toasted coconut instead of traditional kataifi. Not bad though with dark chocolate. Check your order because they forgot my slice of sweet potato cake. I didn't realize until I got home. Banana pudding wasn't too sweet. They have a whole skincare area next to Basquia for all your beauty needs. Self check out is 10 items or less. Regular check out is at the main entrance. Employees are pretty chill and helpful. Gotta check out the frozen aisle, snacks, and restaurant next time! Reservations available. There's a whole open fridge of makgeolli/flavored rice wines worth looking at too. I spotted fave honey butter almond.

Yelp
H-Mart had a new cousin, and it's in the Serramonte shopping center along with many shopping arcades. Meet Jagalchi, your one stop shop for Korean goods. There's Pogu in the center of the supermarket, a sushi/seafood bar, and its bakery next door. Not a bad setup considering how some of us don't like walking in circles. To me, it's a fun place to shop since anything that's Korean needs plenty of attention. If there's at least one thing H-Mart had never included in our grocery list was the Korean green tea powder in many different sets. These are the latest additions after the skyrocketing popularity of Japanese matcha. In case there's going to be a matcha shortage in Japan, the matcha straight from the Jeju Island will be a perfect candidate. That's the reason why I came to Jagalchi for one reason, to try out the Korean matcha. I have yet to visit here once again if I have something I want straight from the grocery list. Mangosteens are one of the best purchases even if they don't have a price tag. Even though the lack of tourism has affected our nation's economy, it's doesn't affect how much we buy straight from other countries. Jagalchi will be one of the must-visits in my to-do list.

Yelp
We had fun today, so glad we waited 2 months. It's not packed like it's first open. Make shopping so much more relaxing! The bakery was so beautiful and relaxing ! Feel like I'm in a Korean cafe in a Kdrama! lol The snack and groceries are so affordable, same price as Hmart!! Especially the cooked food, it was super affordable. The Kimbap is only $6, the rice, meat, and veggie ratio is perfect- not too much rice. Perfect dinner portion!!
google avatar

Yelp
Everything has large variable selection. The deli, the instant ramen, the meat... I love the rare selection on snacks. It reminds me of the trip to Seoul. A lot of self check out registers, wait was not long at all. Parking can be a disaster on the weekend.

Yelp
Great addition to the Bay Area Asian food scene. Think of this place as the Korean version of Eatly. With an onsite dine in restaurant from Korea's first Michelin star chef (Tony Yoo). Great place to grab a quick bite from the hot food section where they make fresh Kim bap, Teokpokki or cutlets and sashimi and bento boxes. I would go on a weekday as it's much quicker to grab the fresh food made daily but sold out quickly on the weekends. There is also an onsite bakery using rice flower as their dough so it's gluten free. Honestly if you have a H-mart close to where you live you won't be missing much in regards of the fresh hot food served daily. But a solid option and you gotta check it out once
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice ambience, and menu is a unique fusion of traditional Korean flavors with western accompaniments and ingredients. We had the buckwheat noodles (cold dry dish), abalone hotpot, and blue crab cabbbage jjim (also cold dish). Additionally, they gave a free salad, side dishes (squid, potato salad, and kimchi), and flour bread with matcha spread. Overall, very refreshing selection for the warm summer months.

Yelp
This afternoon I finally had a chance to check out this huge footprint after all the hype subsided. This used to be the old Mervyn's then JC Penny's location. Now it's a Korean supermarket/restaurant. I entered the supermarket from the east parking lot entrance veering right toward the sashimi, sushi, and fish market. Eye appealing. But what I found unappealing was all the lookee loos with hands on & off of the prepared foods. That was true throughout the store. Big turn off for me. I did glance into the kitchen where I saw someone making unagi rice bowl. It looked very yummy. The center of the store was the sit down restaurant POGU. After making two rounds I left emptied handed through the mall entrance/exit.

Yelp
IMHO Finally got to Jagalchi! Finding parking is a challenge here but have patience and pray. Jagalchi is a Korean megastore of "eye candy" food galore. It's so big they have a map posted of the store's massive layout. I came with a group of 4 and I was afraid we'd lose each other as we wandered throughout the store, which we did... Personally, I was overwhelmed by all of the colorful, unique, and delicious food items. There was just so much to see! You could spend hours here taking it all in. There is a wide variety of gojuchang, kimchi, noodles, dumplings, japchae, mushrooms, rice, tofu, and tons more. there is even a wall of ramen. The meat and seafood sections are impressive, but the bakery lacked. Occasionally they offer free food samples. There is also a full-service restaurant, Pogu. I left with a few snack goodies, but I want to go back for some hot foods or pre-packaged entrees. Overall, I look forward to returning again but next time with my hubby, who is the cook in our family. I think he'll be very impressed.
google avatar

Yelp
There are so many options for their prepared foods!! They have seating near the checkout by the bakery if you buy their deli items, as well as a dine-in restaurant. The tteokbokki wasn't the warmest and not spicy but chewy and not too heavy. Bulgogi was a bit tough but the flavor was not too sweet and the rice was chewy. Mandu was too soft on the bottom and too much dough on the top but the meat was seasoned enough. Kimbap was very standard, no complaints. Overall, a good place to try a bunch of items with friends without breaking the bank! Quality is solid.

Yelp
Walking around grocery stores has become my new form of therapy and hobby. Glad to see more and more new businesses open up in the Bay Area. I've been here a handful times so I know every aisle by heart LOL. My first impression walking into Jagalchi was super spacious in the entrance. Although I do wish the layout of the whole store was designed a bit better because once you around to the back, it gets a bit cramped and people start stepping on your toes. The cafe/bakery section is really tight too. They don't let you bring your cart in so make sure you eat before you shop. My favorite section would be the sushi section. 10 nigiri's for $15 is actually a pretty good steal. The raw marinated crab was also a really good deal. I think it was under $13. Definitely worth trying. Overall, great addition to the neighborhood. FYI parking is a bit tough esp during the weekends. 06.01.2025

Yelp
Bougie Korean grocery store. Clean , aesthetically pleasing inside. Samples are provided in some areas albeit there was a crowd. There is a sushi section with nigiri and inari available. The price was affordable but the taste was mid, and not noteworthy. The hot foods area they have meat buns , roasted sweet potato , teakbokki ( sweet and spicy, rose, carbonara), prepared meats (didn't try), kimbap. The hot food area was affordable. The kimbap was $6. The teakbokki was $8. Etc. They had osullac tea available for sale which was awesome. I saw some zero calorie drinks in a bag that they were selling and some neat looking alcohol in pretty bottles There are some places to eat at the bakery, but you can't bring the shopping cart in. They have rice cakes at the bakery with different toppings like injealmi, sesame, and they even sold Dubai chocolate and cafe drinks. Definitely worth checking out. Skip the sushi , and go for the hot food area and get things like teakbokki , Mandu, etc. and other stuff. I would order the kimbap and mandu again because it's cheap and healthy ish. It won't be the best Korean food you ever had, but it's affordable and worth shopping around to look at all the imported stuff.

Yelp
A bit overpriced but fun to shop at! It's basically a hi end grocery store. Love the vibes here. They have a big assortment of unique things and love how they also have a hot and cold food court as well as a bakery. Sushi was ok, not too bad. Bimbap was a bit bland without adding the spicy sauce and could have used more meat. Came at and the kitchen was already closed so come early for better selections. Stop by the info desk to get a free reusable bag with review

Yelp
Amazing! I am in awe at how big this grocery store is and it has so many products! Came here to check it out after all the hype & the prices for fruit, meats, and products are pretty reasonable. There is so much to see and the premade food is delicious. We got the meat mandu, kimchi, braised crab, a bimbimbap, and vegetable japchae. The grocery store is clean and the staff are helpful and have great customer service! Def worth the visit and the food is really good! Next time, I will have to try the seafood!
google avatar

Yelp
If WholeFood married H-Mart and Costco, their love child would be Jagalchi. Think as big as Costco. Variety as good as H Mart. Seafood and produce fresher than WholeFood. They also have a bakery inside with great coffee! PLUS, they have a restaurant, and food court inside!!! WOW! There are so much to see and to do, you can easily spend half day here just shopping, sipping coffee, then have lunch, wrap up your shopping, maybe browse the mall or browse Jagalchi some more, and then go home with your grocery! Or heck, you can even have dinner here!!! What an awesome addition to Serramonte!!!

Yelp
Love jalgachi. It's like you're taking a trip to Korea. Lots of food and snacks. The salmon and sushi area was super fresh! They had a variety of meat selection too. They have ossulloc tea and lots of skincare items as well. Great one stop shop for groceries and snacks. The pastries were cute - will have to stop by and try it next time. Can't wait to come back soon :)

Yelp
Such a great spot! There were so many options for food and we got tofu salmon, salmon/unagi nigiri, and cheese tteokbokki for $35! There were so many snack and grocery options and I loved the variety of choices. We ate in the bakery section and everything was delicious. The cheese tteokbokki wasn't too spicy and was super flavorful and the nigiri was fresh and the pieces were big. The salmon tofu was a large portion as well and was really filling. I'll definitely be back to try the beef bulgogi!

Yelp
The new family food funland at Serramonte Mall is Jagalchi! Love walking through here! I'm admittedly wide-eyed gawking at the fresh sushi, seafood and other Korean and Asian inspired grocery! They even have samples available like Costco, except for me it's always yummy marinated Korean BBQ! 5 stars Yelpers!

Yelp
We happen to be in the area, took a drive over to SF from SJ during our short vacation and I spontaneously said to my other loving half, my Uber driver when on vacation, lets go check out Jagalchi, lucky they close at 10 pm, arrived at about 9:25 pm, I had so little to time to look around, good thing there was no lines/crowd at all but the junk part is all the different foodie little kiosk ( ramen, street food, kimbap, desserts) were all closed, means I have to come back for this! Prior to my visit, I've seen the social media for Jagalchi, made me so curious to go, every single post I see, looks so good! I even sent a message to my cousin's family who lives so close by if they were going to check it out. He said he is not going to deal with the crowd, hehe! My impression, WOW., I LOVE it, so fancy, upscale, trendy market for Korean goods! My daughter mentioned it is Korean version of Muji store. I am so jealous wish we got a Jagalchi open up back on Oahu. Not much time to explore but I quickly tried going to the entire store. HUGE!! So many products, so much of everything! All the goods looks so good, I want to try them all and wish I could bring them back, the prices weren't bad either, lower than Oahu, my opinion. I've seen so many items that I've never seen befored. $4. Hallasan brand lychee sochu, cheapest I've seen and never tried this brand, ended up with 5 bottles, pack of 6 Jin spicy ramen for only $5.50, got some frozen fish cake sticks ( the viral ones I see on Instagram) & frozen dessert buns. All in all, great, fun shopping! Great addition to the Bay area. Check out Jalgachi, but my tip. you will need more than 30 minutes here. I really want to go back again, due to my Love for Korean supermarkets!

Yelp
We heard about this new place via social media and thought we'd check it out! This Korean market is part of Serramonte mall. We came here on a Thursday around lunch time. It was not crowded at all, the place was pretty clean, and there are many food choices and grocery items to choose from! If only we had enough appetite (and funds haha) to eat it all! Here's what we got: Salmon sashimi: we got a couple lean cuts. Although delicious, the pieces were thick and too chewy for me. The pre-sliced pieces are of course a bit more expensive, and if you like wasabi, you would have to by the pouch separately. It also does not come with soy sauce. 6/10 Cheese Tteokboki: this was quite flavorful with an equal amount of sweet and spicy. I don't know if it's just our bowl, but we had a bunch of fish cake and like 3 pieces of rice cake. 6/10 Meat Mandu: this was super juicy, filling and flavorful. I think this was my favorite out of everything we got. 10/10 Not pictured: Cream and black sesame sulpang: this was our first time having sulpang as we never heard of it, but was curious to try. It's fermented bread that uses makgeolli (Korean rice wine) as an ingredient. It was fluffy and not too sweet. I liked the black sesame over the cream. 8.5/10 Can't wait to go back and try the other items!

Yelp
Made a day trip out to the bay area, specifically to try out Jagalchi! Parking is pretty crazy because it's in a busy parking lot, but there are entrances on two sides so you can look for parking on either side. The market itself is very clean and organized, but I think overall there isn't as much variety as other specialty markets like H-Mart. However I did like the hot food counters where you can just grab what you like, rather than having to order and wait. They had a pretty good variety of your classic Korean street food, such as kimbap, fried chicken, mandu, hotteok, rice bowls, and more!

Yelp
grand opening! My sister and her fiancé got here at 7:50am and my parents and I got here at 8:15am with about 15 people ahead of us. Store opening was at 9am and the ceremony was 10am. Very confusing morning because the first 100 people in line would get a jagalchi bag and a winner of a $250 gift card but they wouldn't be giving it out until 10am. People were complaining because how would they know who were the first 100 if they weren't giving out tickets but letting us in? We wouldn't be standing in line so early if that was the case. A lot of us decided to stay and hold our spot. I felt bad for the guy waving people on to go in but nobody really wanted to lose their spot. Luckily we stayed in line because a few minutes after 9 they started giving out the tote bags. Somebody was cutting us trying to get the tote bag that hadn't stood in line. Luckily my mom was very vocal about it we had joked about my future brother in law winning the gift card and nonchalantly as we enter he casually informs us he won! There was no fanfare as the first customer to get the gift card and we thought he could find a jagalchi employee to get his gc, so he could use to buy his goods. Turns out he had to go to the serramonte guest center which he did, only to be told he had to wait until after 10am to get the gift card. One he got it, we realized he would have to wait in line again to enter back in. My parents and I bought snacks, drinks and some ingredients. It was very packed and a good amount of aisles were empty. I would wait for the hype to go down before coming back here again.

Yelp
I ate the food and had no time for pictures. The nigiri and the inari with raw fish on top is so good... I'm crying thinking about how good it was. Bakery is good too. I had a bread and loved the texture. The drink is good, bit too sweet for me. Only downside about this is that the employee at self check out couldn't really help us when we noticed something scanned differently than it was labeled. Will come back..!!!!

Yelp
I'd agree with all the comments referring to Jagalchi as the Asian version of Erewhon. Prices were very high, lol. I saw instant noodles I'd get from my local Korean mart for $4 being sold double here! Welp, it's an option for those who want to get noodles and other premium items sourced here. What I will say though: despite being expensive in some aspects, they do have a good premium selection of Korean goods and prepped foods. I wasn't necessarily hungry that day, but it was nice to see the food court nestled through the establishment as you walk through the grocery store. My mom was amazed at how much detail and thought was put into how the store was organized. I was also impressed by the sushi selection offered! If you are lucky, you might encounter some discounted items (mostly fish trimmings or last night's food prep). Overall, it's nice to see more Asian markets available in the Bay! Workers were all focused on their tasks, so I can't tell what service is like, but they do take great pride in organizing the store and making sure items are displayed beautifully. I'll have to stop by again to try their ready-to-go foods. All I got was sashimi products and their marinated raw crabs! So far, the spicy crabs are good! Eat with rice :P

Yelp
New korean supermarket in Daly City! Very clean and aesthetic! I thought the shopping experience was nice and the way things are set up was neat. They also have their own bakery. There was no line when we went on a saturday morning. There is a big parking lot but since the grocery store is huge and it's a part of serramonte center, parking could be a bit difficult on the weekends. We mainly went there to try the food at the food court. We got salmon & eel sushi, radish kimchi, rose tteokbokki, galbi bento box, seafood pancake, and beef kimbap. The galbi bento flavor was nice, but 5 pieces of galbi with veggies and rice for the price is not the most worth. The $10 seafood pancake was made fresh and my favorite item out of all! From the bakery, we got cream sulpang, which is a soft, rice-based korean bread with cream/custard inside, in strawberry flavor and injeolmi custard flavor. It was soft and fluffy and not too sweet! We also ordered 5 different drinks: mandarin in jeju, oh! berry sparkling, rainbow beach, sikhye, and dalgona spanner. The sparking drinks were ok but I was a bit disappointed that none of the drinks were served in a clear cup or a glass cup. Got the sparkling drinks because we thought the colors looked nice but it was served in a paper cup so... Didn't get a chance to try their pane filled with korean-style tteobokki since we got too much food, but I would return next time to try it!

Yelp
My 500th review! Came here a couple months ago and I was blown away by how ginormous this market is! It's like they uprooted a Lotte Mart from Seoul and planted right in South SF! There's a wideeeee variety of food, housewares, alcohol, beauty products etc. but the fruit section could use some work. I'm amazed by all the hot food vendors that are cranking out food and banchan. Although, we ended up trying the rose ttebokki and bulgogi gimbap, we didn't like it very much and it felt very underwhelming. I wish I tried other food instead, but it gives me a reason to come back. The food here is definitely overpriced, but they have lots of square footage to pay for. Lol. Side note-- if you buy food, they don't give you any utensils until you pay for it. So don't be like me and remember to ask for them so you don't end up walking around the entire store looking for utensils. Looking forward to trying Pogu as well!

Yelp
When I was told about this place I was wondering why so many people were hyping up a grocery store but I see it now. I've been back twice now and they have a really solid selection for sushi, packaged foods, meats, and desserts! I would say the produce section is limited. Everything is quality and aesthetic here. They even have a restaurant, bakery, and skincare/haircare section here.

Yelp
Literally the most AMAZING Korean market on California!!! Finally made the trip out here after seeing it all over social media and it exceeded all of my expectations!!! They carry everything from basic to higher end brands and items. The store itself is beautiful and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly! The variety of hot and cold to go items is also unparalleled to anything one ever seen in SoCal- definitely stop in because Jagalchi is amazing!!!

Yelp
POV from a non-native speaking, hungry dude who enjoys the occasional many hours of "YOU TUBE" while on the clock at work. -greeted by dudes w/walkie talkie and earpieces (maximum security) at every entrance - not your local Walmart friendly face.. - this place is impressive to the point of sensory overload. Property space must have been on CLEARANCE. Aisles were super spaced out, not an "Stack them High, let them Fly" business model (cramming everything in). Needs more products, the more the merrier, LOL. -the FOOD: eeennnhhhnnnn, , deli style pre made sitting out, grab and go stuff. Seems fresh enough and price was cool. We're in...got a few things to share. Verdict: -we liked the Seafood and green onions Jeon (Korean pancake), it was moist and flavorful. Pretty generous on the green onion, but didn't SEE much SEAFOOD. -Cheese Tteokbokki- kid liked it. Flavor was good with a nice kick in every bite. -Bulgogi Kimbap: was pretty good. Need to add a soy sauce package or something to kick it up a notch. - everything else we got: was nothing special at all. Fish cake roll combo and Fried Chicken Katsu was a disappointment. Didn't have that "woW" factor in the bite. - bakery: cool spot to sit and eat. Adjudication: cool to check out if you're a local, but not day tripping worthy through bay area traffic..... -P.S. - gotta hit the BATHROOM before hitting the open road, utilize their high dollar faucets (soap / water / AIR) setup at the sink. Now, that was impressive!!!

Yelp
I visited one day in the Bay Area This place is amazingly big with hot food option, seafood section and a restaurant in the middle All the food that I've ever wanted is here, I will be back to check out this place whenever I need ingredients. There's multiple self checkout lanes and a large parking lot. There's a bakery as well. Perfect for a weekend trip to the grocery store

Yelp
I came here on a weekend with a friend. We wanted to get some Korean snacks and see everything else inside. When we got here (around 10:30/11), the parking lot was already packed. There was also a Farmers Market going on in the parking lot, so spaces close to the mall were all taken. We were trying to find the parking for the Jagalchi side, hoping it would be less packed - but we couldn't figure how to get there, so we just parked at the structure for the mall. After getting inside, we walked around the mall for a bit before seeing the signs indicating where to go - once you get on the right track, it's pretty hard to miss. First impression - this place is huge. There's so much going on!! After settling down, we walked around and headed over to the grocery store area via the take home hot meals section. Everything smelled and looked delicious. We were very tempted to try a few of their take home items, but thought it would be best enjoyed some other day as we already had plans for lunch later. It was great to watch the items being prepared right in front of you. We eventually made our way to the section dedicated to snacks. OMGoodness - so many snacks to try! After selecting more than I should have, we walked over to the other sections - meat, seafood (with an oyster bar), drinks, etc. They had a great selection of everything. Inside was also a bakery, a beauty store and a restaurant. We browsed the beauty shop, didn't want to wait in the long line for the bakery and thought we'd like to come back for the restaurant at some point. Overall, the place was a wonderful little adventure. We got some snacks and grocery items to try and will probably make it back (with more friends) to try the restaurant and/or bakery. 1 star off was for how chaotic everything seemed. It might be because people are super hyped about this place, but the crowds made it hard to navigate through the space and take your time making any decision, especially in the hot meals section and bakery. There were tons of varieties of things and it was laid out in a manner that made you go around the whole place to find things. If I just wanted something specific, it would be hard to battle the crowd to find it quickly. Hopefully, once people have gotten more used to the place - the crowds won't be as large and it won't seem as chaotic.

Yelp
Finally got to check this place out after so much waiting! Can't say I was surprised to see how well put together everything was! I loved the amount of food options available and the variety of food item types to choose from. If you're like me, you probably go out for hours shopping around. Well no need to worry here, you can get most essentials in one place! A meal, bakery, skincare, groceries all in one convenient store :) Plus it's in a mall, so plenty of parking. I personally thought it was very clean and the flow of the store is rather smooth so even with the large crowds of people you can easily find things. Overall my experience with this store was overwhelmingly positive and I would say it's even worth the drive from the east bay! Hope to come here again soon :)

Yelp
I've been seeing so many videos of this place online. Was drawn by the variety of stuff they have here: groceries, make up and skin care, food, etc. The space inside is very big and the layout is very spread out. I think there's (within each category of thing) less variety than what you would expect for such a large space, but the products offered seem carefully chosen and tasteful. In addition to grocery, there's a bakery/cafe, sushi area, and restaurant in the middle. Lots of options in the bakery and cafe as well too! From the ready made food area, I picked up a yubu kimbap and rose tteokkbokki. The rose tteokkbokki has a muted spicy flavor due to the added cream, which works well if you don't like it too spicy! The yubu kimbap isn't anything to write home about, but certainly hits the spot if you're craving kimbap! They have yubu, bulgogi, and tuna options. From the cafe I got the dalgona spanner (shout out to Bird from FeedMeiMei who raved about it). I will say that when dalgona coffee was all the rage, I made it at home and didn't really think it was worth all the hype. But for the dalgona spanner here, I think it lives up to the hype (from Bird lol). Nice creamy notes without being too sweet, with a good undercurrent of espresso. Service was polite and quick! It's a bit out of the way for someone in South Bay, but definitely worth a stop after visiting the City!

Yelp
Lots of parking, it's a huge area, part of seramonte shopping mall. So much Korean groceries, pogu restaurant right inside, a patty shop, and hot foods to buy. It's so overwhelming, but checkout is fast, so no worries there. Cool concept, on stop shop for groceries.

Yelp
Jagalchi was fun! We visited by accident just two or three days after it's grand opening. We didn't realize that this was the brand new market we had seen on the news. It's huge. There is so much to see. Lots of options for groceries, and ready to eat dishes. It was a tad overwhelming. We grabbed a few bottles of Soju and some fresh ready to eat sushi rolls, and we were set. The sushi was delicious. Definitely some of the best, freshest, premade sushi I've ever had. It was moving quickly off the shelves too, so they were constantly replenishing, which was nice to see. They had a sit down restaurant in the middle of the market. It looked nice. I couldn't tell what kind of food it was. Maybe it was hot pot. I'm not sure. Next time I will be sure to check it out. I could hear people talking about the Korean skin care section. I did check it out, though I couldn't tell what anything was lol but I could hear people ranting and raving about it while I was there. There seemed to be a bakery in the corner. Didn't make my way over there, but I think it's nice that there were so many sections to this massive market. If you're looking for meats to make your own hot pot, or stirfry, this is the place to look. They had so many options and they seem to be reasonably priced. My only qualm with this place so far is it just seemed a little unorganized. But I'm not docking them a star, because they had just opened. So I do believe it will get better once they get the hang of things and can gauge their level of business. It seemed like the frozen food sections were kind of thrown together. There wasn't enough organization for me there. It went from Korean corn dogs to ice cream in 2.5 seconds. There was no real separation of sections. Another thing that just seemed very unorganized was there were lots of stalls for ready to eat food, but none of them were open. So it seems to me like they are hoping to expand upon their "ready to eat"sections, but they weren't prepared to serve it the day we were there. All in all, excellent selections. I can't wait to go back and see how this place grows overtime!

Yelp
I was very excited to finally come here and see what all the hype was about. I had high expectations based on all the feedback I received from friends and family. 5 stars for the ambience and the fresh protein and seafood selection. 3 stars for the hot food. Honestly, I wasn't impressed--some of the things I felt like I could easily get it from HMart for the same quality. 2 stars (very, very disappointing, to say the least) for the bakery. I picked up a few items to try with my brother. We had the cream buns--his was black sesame, and mine was red bean. OMG, the buns were dry, and the filling was barely there. For the price they're charging, I could get better quality and more flavor at 85°C Bakery. Now for the most disappointing part--the reason I felt the need to write this review. I bought two small pound cakes (lemon and matcha) to take home. They were $6 each. For those who know pound cake, it's supposed to be rich, buttery, and moist. These were the exact opposite--dry, dense, and lacking in flavor. The picture doesn't even do the disappointment justice.

Yelp
Jiaqi is a really nice place. We were able to check it out. The food and service here is really good. Everything was very fresh. You can definitely smell the seafood while you're inside of the Serramonte mall. People here are super friendly. They will help you out.
