Jalapeno Pete's

Our visit to Jalapeno Pete’s was great. Rachel and Mark welcomed us and made our dining experience special. Jalapeno Pete’s has many personalities. They have an excellent dine menu with Wednesday wings specials. They host UFC, sports and have a full bar with MTV and other festive programs on monitors all over the walls. The Salsa is very special. The Salsa Roja is tasty and full of flavor. The Habanero Salsa needs to be respected. I dipped the corners of the chip because it was serious. I usually load up the chips. This Salsa is powerful and delicious. We went with the combination Fajitas. Look at my photos. It comes with hand made tortillas and rice, beans and guacamole. The Fajitas were excellent! I left very full. Mark recommended the Pete’s Churro Waffle for dessert. Great recommendation. Look at my photos. It comes with a waffle, vanilla ice cream making it a cinnamon delight. We were told that some order just the waffle for meal. I can see that once we got it. It is large and delicious. I highly recommend Jalapeno Pete’s!

Well it’s a open Air Sports Bar with good food and drinks! Loud music !! Party mode ! Excellent Service!

Great atmosphere, the staff there was very attentive and friendly.The manager did warn us the wait for drinks and food would be long because it was Cinco de Mayo, that was really nice of him. we didn't mind the wait, because of the atmosphere and it was festive! The Margaritas were very yummy. I didn't care for Carne asada nachos, though, not enough melted cheese and was too small for the price. The asada fries were ok, though I personally don't care for the sour cream on top. Greasy food, maybe next time I'll try the tacos.

We are Chiefs' fans from KC and went to Jalapeño Petes for the game while we were there. The atmosphere was electric as Chiefs LA brought an Emcee and even had Chiefs gameday traditions for when we score touchdowns! The food was incredible too, and drinks even better. Would go back again.

Came here on a quiet Sunday evening for date night. It has a pretty good atmosphere for a bar and a few different options for seating (i.e. at the bar, tall tables, outdoor patio on the sidewalk). Super friendly staff, who checked in frequently and let us know about the unlimited salsa and tortilla chips. We each ordered tacos, which were pretty good. Went with the non-alcoholic drink, The Ambulance Chaser, which wasn't bad. The only criticism we had was that 1) the guacamole was pretty plain and 2) some of the tables could use a good wipe down. Otherwise we had a great time and would definitely come back to try some margaritas.

Jalapeños Pete is definitely a happening place. Even though there are several other Mexican restaurants near by, this place was busy. They have indoor and outdoor dining. Given the rising numbers we took the outdoor seats in the corner. The service was nice and friendly. The restaurant has a lot of TV so you can watch sports while enjoying your dinner. They have limited menu and are known for their street tacos. Each tacos are about $3 so you can mix and match to try different ones. We got the Nachos without chicken. The food was OK. The tacos could use some more flavor and the Nachos were filled with lot of black beans. Overall, the experience was good.

Moved over in the LA area and wanted to find a new area to hangout at. And this was one of them. They have a great server atmosphere and people too. Even when they have our chief hangout for the games is the best. I love this place a lot. Great price. Great everything

I didn't know what to expect from this place. I always drove by and finally decided to stop by for early dinner. I was pleasantly surprised how good their food is. I came here for my mom's birthday and we enjoyed it very much. Great customer service. Wait time to receive food from time ordered was fairly quickly. Fair prices. I would definitely come back.

Boy oh boy, did Jalapeño Pete's exceed our expectations! Comfortable space, good food, and lots of TV's. But the service was fantastic! We loved our waitress (who also hosts Karaoke). Drink specials were so good as to be a little shocking! Definitely great for a Happy Hour hang for a group.

Been here a few times, but last night was probably disappointed the most. Service was great, but the food was lacking, felt like a taco truck, or an outside street vendor could serve up more flavor/quality than what I was served here last night. My biggest gripe tho came with the margaritas. Never again... I wouldn't even serve my enemies the margaritas that were served to me last night. Whoever made the margarita mix needs to be fired, I don't care how long they have worked for the establishment; but to me, being a Mexican joint and having worse margaritas than el torito is a crime. I basically, looked all around the room, and EVERYONE, was drinking beer... and that's when I accepted the reality, that these Margs suck so bad, that everyone is drinking beer. Whomever in management reads this, please fix your margaritas or add a "Skinny Margarita", and by skinny I mean like 85/90% less sweet. Honestly, the whole point of a margarita is refreshment, not drinking a cocktail that is sweeter than soda. Or maybe whoever makes the margaritas sabotages the mix, by making it too sweet, so that way less people order margaritas and bartenders don't have to make as many cocktails and serve more beer? I don't know, but if the margaritas were ACTUALLY good, I'm sure they would sell like hot cakes. It's a sin to be a Mexican cantina, and serve subpar margaritas. Consistency is key, in the restaurant businesses, and whomever is in charge of making the margaritas (the mix), is really dropping the ball. Could really see this place on bar rescue....

If you're a Michigan football fan, this is your spot. Our first visit was for the Michigan vs UW game so we experienced the full initiation - they even had a Wolverine bites menu! We got a few beers, stadium nachos, and chicken tenders. Overall, the food and drinks were pretty solid, I only wish we got more chicken in the nachos. Considering the sheer volume of people in the room and orders coming in, the service was good too. Parking wasn't easy with only metered street spots available, but it was likely more challenging because it was a big game night. We'll be back!

This place is okay. It's a bit overpriced, nothing really special about it. It does win the tiny taco award! Lol....

Have a sports game to watch with a group of buddies? This is the place for you! Need to get out of the house and be around good people in a good environment, this is the place! The food is great. We have friends that live all over and this was the best place for everyone's half way point. I suggest everyone coming out to try it!

I couldn't figure out how to get in HAHA. It's pretty airy especially when it's a nice day. Came in midday on a Saturday.. not that crowded but assume it's get a little more crowded with big game days/nights. Food was ok and priced pretty average and customer service from the servers was pretty good as well! I did think my mango marg was pretty tasty so of course I had to get two. Street metered parking

Great margies! Fun staff! Great place to visit on NFL Sundays. They have awesome drink specials as well. I had a great time celebrating the first Mahomes/Chiefs Super Bowl win. And I don't even like the Chiefs! Plenty of bars in LA now offer 'discount' margaritas for $17 (WTF??). This spot has a deal where you can get two for $20.

We went here for the first time on Friday night. They had the Lakers game going on most TVs, and generic bar videos on others. It was fairly busy as you would expect, but it wasn't overwhelming. The atmosphere was really fun and inviting. The staff was really friendly, from our awesome server Brenda to the bus staff and managers. They had some classic board games for people to play, with ample seating at their many tables. It was a really good energy in there - clean, but not pretentious; authentic, but not grungy. I have lived in the valley for most of my life, and never heard of a bar doing a buy one get one free on drinks from 9 PM to close EVERY day of the week. Maybe on slow nights, but not EVERY day of the week. That is just a crazy good deal. We also got some food. I will tell you point-blank their tortilla chips are fantastic. Some salsa or guac, both of which are just a vehicle to get more chips in my mouth. So so good. I had the buffalo chicken wings, which were average for bar fare. I am definitely interested in coming back on a Wednesday night when they have $.25 wings. There are more flavors on Wednesdays and that deal cannot be beat. Genuinely good vibes, good bites, good drinks, great value. We are looking forward to coming back soon!

Would give this place a 2.5 stars if I could but rounded up. Came to watch a soccer game. It's great for that. Numerous TVs. This place is more of a grungy bar type of vibe. Chicken flautas: oof. Way too deep fried. Oily as hell. short rib taquitos: tasty. Our favorite thing. Tacos: the tortillas were bad but the meats were all good. Quesadilla: wayyyyy too much cheese. The guac (we added lime) saved most of the dishes for us. Wont return. Maybe will for a game but under the assumption I was not getting food. Parking is metered street. It's free after 8.

Super intense Chiefs bar. If you're a fan this is a great place to catch the game. Especially for the playoffs the fans are super into it. They have a decent draft list and you can order buckets and towers to stock up for the game. A ton of TVs inside and outside. Staff does a great job considering how packed it gets on game days. The people owning/working there are super great throwing chiefs beads and bands for people. Great place to watch some football.

Perfect place for the Chief's fan in your life! Had a fun time watching the game and drinking pitchers of mango cart. Our waitress was attentive especially given the crowds, though we didn't order food, just beers. They do get quite packed on game days so plan to come early. We were seated outside and there were TVs placed outdoors. Inside has the game projected. Parking is a bit difficult, but they do offer valet for $20. There is free parking up the steep hill in the neighborhood. Fun place, they have a raffle and some free goodies! Will be back this weekend for the playoff games!

After searching for a new spot for sports ppv, I think I finally found my new spot! We came here this Saturday to watch the fight. At 4ish, it was already packed. They have plenty of sits and tv's, but I think inside is a better atmosphere. We had 1 of the best waitresses I have had in a while, Emmy. As busy as it was, she never forgot about us. She has a really nice personality and knows her stuff. The food came out fast even though we ordered finger foods. The drinks were the only downfall. Idk if they out water in the shots, but no way, after 2 vodka shots, we didn't feel a thing.. All and all the prices were cool. Fyi street parking around, but they have is $10. Only took a star away due to the drinks being very lame all of them.

So, The two stars is for the ample amount of tvs all around the restaurant and of clear view from any seat, making it a GREAT place to watch a game or a fight. The food is not exceptional and very small portions. The service is mediocre. The servers really don't hVe to be exceptional because they will add a twenty percent tip automatically. I ordered 2 drinks and the waitress automatically added 20 percent gratuity. I wont be returning. That was sneaky......

Had the jalapeño poppers to start, so good. Tried a selection of tacos can't pick a favorite. Sat at the bar service was quick. Open place with plenty of seating to watch sports.

So, Jalapeño Pete's is a University of Michigan bar. Today is Ohio State vs Michigan football game. #2 vs #3. Bar is absolutely full-inside and outside. The restaurant only has 2 people waiting on all these people, and 1 person behind the bar. ARE YOU KIDDING? You put the servers in a terrible position and making this an awful experience for the customer. Taken us an entire half to get nachos and we haven't gotten any other food. Eating off napkins because we didn't get plates til just now. Management should be ashamed and fired. Leaving money on table and leaving customers unhappy. It's stupid and short-sighted.

If you get lucky enough to get served by either Walter or Kim, you win for the night! They're both dope, attentive and ready to keep the party going. Food is amazing. The Chicken Enchiladas & Ceviche keep me coming AND the hospitality of course. The vibe is definitely casual, easy going, & friendly. You'll meet all walks of life in the building at once at any given day.

PB Ashley did a great job serving us. I've been here before and I'll come back again. Food was great. Drinks were solid

Where do I start with this place. Had my bday here last year and used the private room. Everyone who works there is a good time. Mark is incredible, Ashley is incredible, Paulina is incredible, Emmy is incredible My apologies if I didn't name you, but truly appreciate the staff there.

Great fun times watching KC chiefs home base for LA City and county. Nice selection of beers, outstanding choices of entrees and appetizers you would want at a pub. I highly recommend it and their staff are awesome, come by and enjoy a nice meal and drinks

The waitress Brook is super nice, the cheesey tacos is super tasty, the margaritas is the best. I love this place .... period

Absolutely disappointed in this place. Decided to give jalapeno pete's a shot after having a great time down the street at Laurel Tavern just to be let down. It was a Thursday night and not too busy, we were greeted by our server and then seated...she never returned. We watched as our server attended everyone else BUT us, until we finally decided to leave (after about 15 min). Also, because there was an awful stench, reeked of something so pungent and rotting so maybe it was a good thing we didn't get the chance to stay and eat. If you're looking to be disappointed, this is the spot for you!

Friend and I went for Monday 90s night and let me tell you... the DJ was a blast! Played all the best 90s jams. Our bartender was an awesome guy! Made us the best drinks! Definitely try the short rib tacos they're delicious! Perfect fun bar vibes had a great night out! Very chill atmosphere which was nice for a Monday night!

The food is just ok. But the service is generally good and the music is also good! My fiancé enjoyed the drinks, which is really what we came for.

Last week I had no clue where the worst margarita in the city was, I do now, thanks to Jalapeño Petes!! The rim was covered in what appeared to be table salt and the drink itself was a putrid mix of lime and maybe lemon. We had wings which were so over fired that many of them didn't even hold the shape of wings. I'm going to say that the owner seemed really great and into the customers. But he likely needs new staff. The open air doors and TVs were great.

Food is great, tacos are great, ambiance is real chill, and service is inviting, and accommodating.

They only have one item on the menu that is vegan. The avocado taco can be made vegan by omitting the crema. So not much to eat if you are plant-based. The tacos are the size of a small sand dollar. So so so so tiny. And they don't come with anything so you order each tiny taco separately. It adds up because they are bite sized. They charge for chips and salsa for the table unlike other Mexican restaurants. The drinks are decent but pricey. Staff was fine at first. Our waitress's shift ended so we closed out. She said another waiter would be by. We were there for another 3 hours (chatting with out of town friends) and no one came by. We had to go order at the bar finally after hours of waiting. Luckily we had already eaten our teeny tiny tacos. It was a Friday night but it was dead there. They were blasting club music. So incredibly loud. All the TVs had sports playing. The seats were hard, tall wooden chairs that were terribly uncomfortable. It was just a crappy ambiance and experience. I forgot to take photos but there was nothing exciting to look at. We won't be back.

Karaoke Wednesday night is also selected BOGO beverages night. Tasty bites, refreshing beverages with great service & a fun atmosphere!

The prices here you can't beat. The service needs some work. I went with some friends for a friends birthday and we had a blast together! The vibes were unmatched but it could have been better with our waitress was a little more attentive. Everytime I wanted to put in an order before happy hour ended it felt like I couldn't find my waitress and everyone else was looking for her too! Perhaps it was just a busy time since it was Happy Hour but I'd say my experience was both great and Meh

Jalapeño Petes is Amazing! Just to name some of the workers Walter is 1 awesome Bartender, Emmy and Paulina are sweethearts Servers. You will have a blast here. The food is great. Mark the manager is one of the Best, we wouldn't be here if we did have a team like this that takes great care of each and Everyone of us customers. Come enjoy for all your sports and fights.

Great food, great service, and good drinks! Great place to see the Chiefs! Chiefs LA has done it right! Just as good as Chiefs IE! If I didn't live in Las Vegas I'd be here every Sunday.

TheirYelp page says they open at 9am Saturday and Sunday. They dont!! They open at 10am Nobody cared that we got there at 9am and were turned away.

Stumbled upon this place recently and the atmosphere made me stay for a second drink then 3 then four . But honest I stayed because my expectations were not high but then I got the best server Paulina !!! She really took care of us and she deserves a raise ! Loved her energy made me wanna keep drinking also the tacos were so good . I mean the neighborhood really needs this type of place cause now I know where to go for my tacos and margggggsss!!! I'll be backkk !

What a fun place! We were looking for a good margarita and decided to come here and we were pleasantly surprised by not only the margaritas but also the food and the people! Everything was great! The vibes are cool...it's an open sports bar essentially so I imagine when there's a good football game or something it would be very popular. The food is really great! We had Buffalo wings, nachos, and a burrito. The nachos were exactly what you want if you like a queso nacho (which I love!) the standout of the food was the Buffalo wings! They were crispy but large! A tough combo to get usually but they were perfect! We had a mango jalapeño margarita and a watermelon basil margarita. They said they make the watermelon juice in house and it showed, very tasty. The sweet and spicy of the mango jalapeño was great too. The drinks were full and not watered down so they were amazing! The staff was super friendly and you can tell they care about the customers. Will totally be back for some of their specialty nights!

We're here to watch the Chiefs game because it is the local Los Angeles bar for Chiefs fans. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Same with the drinks and the service was terrific even with a very large crowd. The sound wasn't terribly loud and there were plenty of televisions.

They volunteered to host Chief's LA years ago and they are the perfect hosts. Good food, great bar, and the staff is friendly and makes us feel welcome. They even opened up at 6am for the Chief's Germany game. Don't think you'll find that at other venues. Even if you're not a Chief's fan, it's a sports bar so you'll be able to hang with your own team posse.

Great night life! Great service! Local pubs do it the best. I didn't get the chance to eat here but I hear good things from friends. Expect to have a great time listening to great music!

Last update 4 years ago. Place has grown and I'm super happy about it. Chiefs games on Sunday! But wing Wednesday gets me every time. 25 cents a wing seems criminal. Staff are always friendly with the food and drinks flowing. Only issue can be parking, but they have valet certain nights. Great establishment for studio city

Everyone I bring from KC for the game falls in love with the environment and the food. They always want to go back. Staff is always super friendly and attentive.

Let me begin by saying that negative reviews about this place are likely due to the salty loss of your sports team... just sayin!! As a Raiders fan... I'm used to it. lol However, I still feel welcomed and enjoy my time there while watching football and other sports. The food is great and the drinks are cold. I've met such great people from all over at this place! Great location and plenty of seating!! Plus... they are not far from shopping at Citywalk!!

This place is so much fun!!! Great food, great vibe, great service. Literally has it all. I highly recommend especially for Sunday football.

Jalapeño Pete's is one of my favorite Mexican restaurant. The vibes are always there especially closer to the evening and the service is pretty good. I've been here about 3 times. I like to get the fajitas as my main course. It comes to the table super hot and presentable. I also really enjoy the Mexican wings and asada fries.

I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. See other reviews, all have similar stories I came in to get some appetizers and noticed the staff berate a table while i was dining. Seems it was an issue regarding the check. The female bartender went over to the table where there was kids present and began to insult the table. Then The two lady staff that were drinking a few beers at the bar started to say out loud "ill knock anyone out, especially anyone who upsets my servers. Im ready to throw hands" the male manager also was very unprofessional. This whole staff is an embarrassment to the company. As the poor family was leaving, some of the girls at the bar flipped off the family with kids as they were leaving and even said "we dont want to see you here ever again, dont come back" Overall the food was ok but the fact the staff cant act like adults is appalling.

Love it here finaly have a place to watch the KC games and the service is on point love it!
