"In the heart of Hollywood, just a couple blocks west of Young Circle – you’ll find the town’s emerging heart for seafood goodness. There’s an Asian influence here, with a kickin’ Thai crab curry bowl, Hamachi, and, yes, oysters front and center." - Jesse Scott

I brought my family here for a birthday dinner and all I can say is it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in quite a while! All the food was phenomenal but the star of the show was the pork belly. My sister in law, who is an executive chef at a prestigious restaurant in Atlanta said “the pork belly will haunt my dreams!” The service was impeccable and the atmosphere is elegant yet friendly and inviting. Thank you to Chef Alex, as well as the entire staff for an amazing meal and experience. Highly recommend! P.S. No photos of the pork belly because it was gone as soon as it hit the table! 😆😋

I came here twice in 3 days, it’s that good. Go for their HH from 5-7pm and try the oysters, pork belly, fried chicken and lobster roll. Everything was on point and it felt like an elevated dining experience. Staff were super polite and professional! Especially Hannah, Thank you for your recs and good energy.

J&C’s Oyster Bar: A Local Gem with a Soulful BiteThere’s something magical about sitting at the chef’s counter at J&C’s Oyster Bar—it’s not just a seat; it’s a front-row ticket to culinary intimacy. From the first bite of their snapper ceviche, I was transported. The dish is so light, bright, and impossibly fresh it took me straight back to being five years old, eating snapper caught by my grandmother. That kind of food memory doesn’t come easy. The Thai crab curry was a showstopper—pillowy lumps of crab in a velvety curry that was somehow both delicate and deeply fragrant. Every spoonful melted like a secret you’re glad got out. And the C-side martini? Salty, bold, and unforgettable. I didn’t expect to meet my new favorite briny martini that night, but there it was—smoky glass, chilled stem, pure bliss. What made the experience even more special was the warmth from the chefs, who made my birthday feel like a celebration among friends. This place doesn’t just serve seafood—it serves stories, nostalgia, and the kind of attention that makes you feel like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Google
How can I describe it? Absolute gift for the palate. We had oysters, mussels, cauliflower ( a must!) and pork belly. Exquisitely prepared, fresh ingredients, fabulous. Great atmosphere and fantastic service. Hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever visited, highly recommend.

Google
My daughter and I come here almost every Friday. They have a daily Happy Hour menu from 5-7, including Friday’s that is perfect. We get the shrimp cocktail, fried chicken and mussels. We have also had the cucumber salad and cauliflower. Everything is absolutely delicious and the staff is even better. We sit with Alex every time at the chef’s counter. We love him!!!

Google
You simply cannot beat J&C for fresh delicious seafood and Asian inspired fusion in downtown Hollywood. 5-7 is happy hour which features a lobster roll for $24, $2 oysters, and great deals on snacks, wine, beers, and drinks. Highly recommend this amazing local restaurant in downtown Hollywood.

Google
Celebrated my birthday here in late July. The food was some of the best we’ve had in Broward without having to make the “trek” to Miami. The service was very good, manager spent some time chatting with us and sent a birthday dessert out. The fried chicken was amazing, the hamachi and tuna small plates were favorites. The lobster risotto was the signature dish, it was good but I think next time we will try the crab curry or sea bass. It’s definitely a splurge meal, but worth the price. The server and manager mentioned that they have a great happy hour at the bar- will be checking that out.

Google
Great songs played at a low volume set the atmosphere for the restaurant. Staff are very attentive and friendly. The crab and vermicelli appetizer was incredibly fresh and delicious. The Thai crab curry with white rice had sooo much crab in it! Definitely treat yourself to the cornbread desert! Will definitely come back and try the rest of the menu. We took our time and and felt welcomed by the manager and staff. Smart casual attire. Great for date night.

Yelp
5 stars. Would be 5 stars anywhere: NYC LA Miami SF. It's that good. On a sleepy but upcoming street in Hollywood is this understated gem. From the outside it blends with the other fare on the street that, let's be honest, are usually not too great. Not here. Step in and you're in a space with flavor vibe awesome music and an amazing bar, and the service you'd expect in a $$$$ Manhattan eatery. The avocado and crab salad is often mundane. Here it's bold, flavorful, and unforgettable. The hamachi plate is on par with some of the best hamachi preparations I've had at world-renowned omakase. The fried chicken beats Yardbird hands down in flavor. The crab curry is absolutely scrumptious and perhaps the best value on the menu. It's insane that Hollywood has a restaurant this good on this sleepy street. But it does. Run, don't walk.

Yelp
Good food, but the ambiance absolutely needs work. Upscale seafood-focused restaurant in Hollywood. Very cool sea-esque trendy decor inside. Not a ton of free parking in the area, but easy, cheap paid parking aplenty. We made a reservation for 4 for dinner in advance and last minute moved up the reservation, which was nice of them to accommodate. I temper my expectations when in the burbs but the drinks here were excellent. We had the banana rama, the yuzu margarita, and several c-side martinis. Perfectly balanced, very interesting drinks. I'm so picky about martinis and this was perfect. We ordered the cucumber salad (2/5, bland), hamachi (6/5, so flavorful), tuna confit (4/5 very good), lobster roll (5/5, so warm and perfect), and pork belly (4/5, perfectly cooked). The hamachi was truly a standout - flavorful, nuanced, just very good but I'd also keep coming back for the lobster roll. The cucumber salad was definitely a miss and I'm not clear why it was so flavorless when doused in chili oil, but it happens. Our real gripe here was the ambiance, specifically the music, which made it hard to really enjoy our meal. We came on a night there was a street concert going on outside immediately in front of the restaurant. That said, the sound inside the restaurant, with the doors closed, almost completely insulated us from that noise, which was great. However, the restaurant decided to turn its own music up so loud we couldn't even hold a conversation. I asked twice for them to turn their own music down, and they claimed they did but also claimed the street music was why it was so loud. That wasn't true, because it was clearly the song playing at their restaurant, which was clearly labeled on another bizarre ambiance choice - tv's that displayed the current music and menus. I'm not one to get bothered by noise, but it genuinely ruined the experience and I shouldn't have to talk to someone multiple times to try get it addressed. (It was also never actually addressed.) They kept blaming the festival outside, but we couldn't hear that from inside. Another party literally left the restaurant because the music inside was so loud. I wanted to enjoy my meal and chat with my friends, not be at the clurb. Disappointing but hopefully it's something they will consider fixing in time.

Yelp
If you are into an upscale experience in Hollywood FL on Harrison st, J & C Oyster is that experience. Nestled in the middle of the block and almost obscure, it is the hidden gem in Hollywwod. My experience here was in a word, WOW. And I owe it all to YELP. I was at my favorite cigar lounge down the street and had a hankering for seafood. J & C popped up on YELP and the rest is history. It is modern in decor and the music was upbeat and fortunately not too loud. There is a bar in the middle of the venue, an open kitchen in the back and tables surround the bar. I sat closer to the front. The service was fantastic. Our server was extra attentive and more than one other person stopped by to see how we were doing. All the food came family style for sharing. Really liked that. And the food is an Asian Fusion. Wish I could have tried everything on the menu, but alas, there is always next time. Started the night with drinks, a wine and a craft beer, I think it was Founder's All Day, descent, and a sparkling water. First course was avocado and crab salad, it was AMAZING. And was the best part of the meal, and the meal overall was quite awesome. Next up was the Oysters, I think Chef's choice. They were good and came with great accompaniments, but for the price point, just good. Next came Thai crab and a roasted cauliflower which had a spicy and blue cheese sauce. Both were really, really, really great. And I mean really. We ended with the cucumber salad which was also quite good, but of all the dishes, wasn't my favorite. They offered dessert and we declined. I guess they are known for a sweet cornbread, but by that time we were stuffed. Took some home and it was all good the next day. Next time I am in Hollywood, can't wait to return. I highly recommend a culinary experience here. It will be AMAZING.

Yelp
I came to the restaurant for the first time for a Yelp, event, I was excited as I had my eye on coming to try their oysters. Must say the food was amazing. The raw and broiled oysters, the cucumber salad the fried chicken, and OMG! The roasted cauliflower for me was a hit if you can disguise the taste like that wow. these were samplers we had for the event. For dinner, we ordered the steak Tartare which has (truffle mayo, oori's milk bread, and parmesan) delicious and fresh, Pork belly which consisted of (bibb lettuce, pickles, green chili vinaigrette), and The Lobster Roll which was prepared with (aromatic butter poached, house-made chips, lime, and the fresh butter roll) amazing tasty everything was perfect. The drinks were amazing we had the Lavie on Rose (Ketel One Vodka, Sakura, Rose, and Citrus). It was Super refreshing and crisp I enjoyed the drink. Service was over the top everyone from the bartenders, and servers to the person preparing the oysters were all amazing, friendly, always engaging in conversation with the customers and with big smiles, and very energetic vibes. This is why we decided to have dinner here must say a wonderful experience. The restaurant gives that vibe of coziness, and chill elegance but not that you have to come in fancy attire. Beautifully decorated in whites and silver, gray in all very comfortable to come with a date or simply to have dinner and drinks. Parking is no problem you can park in spots available on the street or the public parking a few steps away and very well priced we were there for about 3 hours and and we only paid $3.00 you can't beat that. I will be back as their menu has quite a few interesting choices that sparked my interest. a wonderful experience.

Yelp
Upon arriving this place was spectacular, in terms of the atmosphere and interior design was beautiful! We sat at the bar, plenty of spaces as we did arrive at 5pm. Happy hour at the bar only is Wednesday-Sundays from 5pm-7pm. They accept card only and it's an automatic 20% service charge. Worth it though because the service here is spot on. Everyone there works really hard to make your experience memorable. We started off with some HH drinks $12, I had the lemon spritz and it was refreshing and complimented well with our HH foods. We basically ordered everything off the HH menu with the exception of some veggie options. Everything we ordered on the HH menu (food wise) was under $10 with the exception of the lobster rolls which was $18.00 We had the fish dip that came with homemade chips , 3/5, the fish dip was warm and didn't really give us that WOW factor. It just tasted like watery fish dip... The shrimp cocktail was tasty and pretty jumbo. We ordered the broiled oysters $3.5 each and it was tasty. Love the flavorings with that. They also had a HH special for oysters, half a dozen is $12, these were from the west coat and it was good with the 3 sauces they gave us. The lobster roll was lacking in some areas, it wasn't as tasty as I'd hope for, it was lacking some sauce. We also ordered the fried chicken breast and it was juicy and crispy as well as complimented with this sauce they gave us. Wasn't really a fan of the pork belly but it might be more other people. The waiter was nice enough to take it off the bill which was nice of her. All in all, everything was great! 5/5: Service 4/5: Food street parking only and need to pay by app or by the machine :)

Yelp
Delicious!! As someone who is not a big "fish" guy, J&C was absolutely amazing. We ordered everything within our party of 6 and everything was better than the next. From the clams with fries, burrata, oxtail to the fried chicken, there was nothing left. We all enjoyed and will definitely be back. Our server, Hannah, was VERY attentive and helped us navigate through the menu when we couldn't figure out what to order. Go enjoy!!

Lovely D.

Yelp
Very friendly staff and fast service. The clans were absolutely delicious! It's a smaller restaurant but the music was nice restrooms were clean and easy parking I'll definitely visit again.

Yelp
Ambiance J&C Oyster in Hollywood, Florida, offers an ambiance that effortlessly blends refinement with a welcoming atmosphere. The 2,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor space is adorned in a serene blue and crisp white palette, accented by opulent gold touches. Ample natural light floods the venue, creating a bright and airy environment. This exquisite design invites patrons to immerse themselves in a setting that feels both elegant and comfortable. Food My culinary adventure at J&C Oyster began with the Broiled Oysters on the Happy Hour menu, a delightful appetizer featuring East Coast oysters topped with yuzu kosho mayo. The oysters were perfectly broiled, maintaining a delicate balance between the fresh briny taste of the sea and the subtle heat from the yuzu kosho mayo. I also tried the Roasted Cauliflower, which was an exceptional dish. The cauliflower was perfectly roasted, complemented by a rich chili butter and tangy blue cheese, with fresh herbs adding a bright finish. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors and textures, making it a standout item on the menu. To accompany my meal, I enjoyed a glass of Prosecco from Canevel, Veneto, Italy. At $7, it was a refreshing and bubbly addition to the dining experience, perfectly pairing with the flavors of the oysters and cauliflower. Service The service at J&C Oyster was impeccable, and special mention must be made of my bartender, Jennifer. She was sweet, knowledgeable, and friendly, with an upbeat personality that added to the overall positive experience. Jennifer's expertise in both food and drink made for excellent recommendations and a seamless dining experience. Her attentive service ensured that every aspect of my visit was enjoyable. Conclusion J&C Oyster is a true gem in Hollywood, Florida, where the ambiance, food, and service come together to create a memorable dining experience. The open kitchen and shareable dishes encourage a sense of community and exploration, perfectly aligned with the restaurant's mission to invite guests on a culinary adventure. Whether you're looking for a casual outing or a refined dining experience, J&C Oyster delivers on all fronts. I look forward to my next visit!

Yelp
Came in for the first time with my mom for an event. The restaurant is cozy but still enough space in between tables. The food and service on the event was so great that we stayed for dinner. We started with the lobster roll which was delicious. The roll was packed with lobster and it was very flavorful. Next we tried the pork belly which was also crispy and flavorful. And lastly we had the beef tartar which took a while to make but nevertheless was still delicious. We had a great time and I would definitely be back.

Katie G.

Yelp
All of the food was delicious, but for the price, the portions are small. As a local, this place is inapt for downtown Hollywood due to the prices, but like I said, the food was great quality and the service was excellent. I suggest coming for happy hour because they have a great deal at that time; half off entrees and drinks. There is a huge bar in the center of the restaurant and tables surrounding it.

Brielle P.

Yelp
We stopped in for happy hour on Thursday and had a great time. The restaurant itself is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The bar is large and the bartenders were great. Service was fast and friendly. We ended up ordering two drinks - a beer and a Shirley temple. We decided on the pork belly from the happy hour menu which was small but absolutely delicious. We felt the pricing was high for happy hour in downtown Hollywood. Service charge is automatically applied and the bartender pointed it out upon presenting the check which was appreciated. We paid $26 for three items. There's street parking nearby for only about a $1.25 an hour (this was Thursday evening).

Yelp
Ducked in with my pal Joe to try the food and drink, again, and to evaluate these folks for my walking food tours in the area and it was a fine time, here's why: * Love the decor. New, bright, clean, airy, modern, efficient. * Big center bar * Excellent service from River (bartender) and Daisy (server) * Excellent play list of music * Epic drinks by River! See pic! Yum... * Fresh and delicious shrimp cocktail, I love how they were served. The only thing missing was horseradish. * Interesting and tasty take on smoked fish dip. Good stuff, appropriately priced. See you there. Cabeza, OUT!

Chauncey S.

Yelp
Fantastic food and service! Chef Raheem and his team are about flavorful and out of the box food! Daisy our server was so good. Had the Blood Orange Spritz!!! My favorite Roasted Cauliflower w/Chili Butter, oh my goodness!! Avocado & Crab Salad a must, Thai Crab Curry, here we go with FLAVOR & Crab overload! Dessert was brand new and we had it before it was typed on the menu, Short & Sweet is my name for this unique dessert! Oops I forgot the Soft Shell Crab Roll!!!!

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about J&C Oyster. My husband and I went for our anniversary on a Saturday night, we had a reservation for 6:45pm, but the GP called to suggest we come earlier for happy hour (which is unusual on the weekend) and to avoid the bar area being very crowded. We decided to move to 6pm and wow was this a good move. The GP, Jared greeted us immediately and asked if he could treat us to a complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary. Not only was it a very generous pour, but it was a really really good champagne (i unfortunately cannot remember which, but it tasted great). The happy hour menu has so many options and the prices are VERY reasonable. It was our anniversary and with so many happy hour options we decided to go big and order whatever we wanted-so yes, we got a lot! We started with half a dozen raw oysters. They came with 3 different sauces, all very good and the oysters were plump and fresh. Next we did the broiled oysters, these were so savory and had a Japanese seasoning that was really interesting. Next was from the regular menu, steak tartare. Steak tartare is my all time favorite dish and if it's on a menu, I'm ordering it. This was a traditional steak tartare, but served in a unique style-on fluffy toasted bread and shaved Parmesan on top. Every bite was so tasty, and again-traditional yet unique. We had the happy hour fish dip, a generous portion and all around good dip. We also ordered both happy hour pork belly bites and fried chicken. Both were fresh and crunchy, definitely worth ordering again and both really good portion sizes. The finale was the Thai crab curry from the regular menu and wowwwwwww this was good. So much crab, and big juicy chunks of it. The curry was so flavorful and luxurious, perfect with the white rice. Service was excellent, food was outstanding and the ambiance is bright and exciting, yet sophisticated and sleek. Definitely go for their happy hour-Thursday through Sundays 5-7pm. This is a must go to in Hollywood.

Max N.

Yelp
You walk in and all the beautiful oysters ore on ice! My mouth was watering for my first bit! The local larger was cold and had a great taste. The man leading everything was on top and was always making sure everything happened like clockwork.

Kitty W.

Yelp
Absolutely delish! We had a party of 5 and just ordered several Meals. The sea bass was delish! The lobster risotto and the oysters are delicious. Highly recommend you try this restaurant!

Cheyanna A.

Yelp
Looked around for an oyster place and landed here. The restaurant is clean and bright inside, the staff is very friendly. Shout out to the bartender that made a specialty drink for my partner on the fly! We regrettably didn't catch her name, but she was delightful. The food itself was good, but with each dish there were things that could be tweaked slightly to make it amazing and 5 stars. We had tuna and oysters as an appetizer and split a lobster roll, pork belly and mussels as a meal. Honestly they should package their in house made chips with togarashi, those were the bomb. I really want to give it 5 stars, if I could give it a 4.5 I would. We might give this a go again in the future. Definitely get the gimlet but it sneaks up on you.

Rick P.

Yelp
Great food and service price right,Nice atmosphere will definetly be back for sure manager very nice

Christopher D.

Yelp
Delicious lobster roll! Smoked wahoo fish dip was very good and happy hour oysters came out to $2 each. The decor is simple and clean and attractive. The entire staff was conversational and knowledgeable. We will be back!

Makeya A.

Yelp
The shrimp cocktail was sofresh and clean, I just love it!! The ambiance was such a vibe with great music. I definitely will be back to try the mussels.

Kelsey P.

Yelp
Okay so.... They won me over completely since adding a happy hour. The happy hour prices and portions take this place from a "once in a while treat" to an approachable staple. Plus the staff is just exceptional... that alongside a comfortable and chill vibe make this place a new local favorite.

marjorie c.

Yelp
This was the second day they were open and we were anxious to try out the food which was described as seafood with an Asian fusion. It was so cold when we came in that we had to ask the waitress if she could ask the Manager to make the room more comfortable and he did. We were told by the Waitress we had to order all of our food selections all at one time so the kitchen could sort out order to serve it and it would be "family style". The oysters were fresh and served with condiments. Boiled oysters were creamy and delicious. The lump crab on noodles was not what we expected. The crab meat was fresh but not much of it in the order and was not in large lumps but broken up, too much sauce on it and it was pretty spicy, which was unexpected since it was not described as such. The boneless fried chicken was crunchy, and seasoned perfectly. We had the Sake which of as decent but on the sweet side. It's uscale &. pricey, they add the Tips to your bill. We enjoyed the food but did not think it was worth the high prices. The Manager David was accommodating and personable. We wish them luck on Harrison Street as they can use more dining establishments.

Nick R.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Best restaurant in the Hollywood area. They have a really nice selection of beers, wines and cocktails. The space is light and beautiful. We ordered some different appetizers such as pork belly, fried chicken, cucumber salad, fish dip. They were all so good. All the servers were so friendly as well as the manager on duty. Will definitely return

Lisa G.

Yelp
This is a lively, modern, restaurant on the corner of Harrison Street & Dixie Hwy with excellent food that is beautifully presented. Crab and avocado salad had succulent crab, a delicious dressing that I could've drunk with a straw, perfectly ripe avocado, and crisp watercress. Hamachi appetizer was tender and laid out beautifully with sweet and acid flavors happily blended. Fried chicken was the best I've had yet in Florida hands down. Very crisp outside with tender, juicy interior, didn't even need the dipping sauces, which were also delicious. Thai crab curry had sweet, tender pieces of crab in a rich, comforting - and again drinkable - broth with cilantro and mint. Good cocktails too - try the bananarama. We will definitely be going back and are happy that we live down the street !

Brooke H.

Yelp
Walked in and immediately felt the vibe of grateful service personnel, pride in presentation and the heart of culinary experience! From the Fish Dip, Avocado &Crab Salad and Burrata we were hooked! Next found a dozen raw oysters from the East Coast with delectable accompaniments ! Hamachi, Lobster Risotto and Chilean Sea Bass finished off the "small plate" shared experience with friends!

Jessica T.

Yelp
Looking for a fabulous happy hour?! Look no further. J&C Oyster has you covered. Full page of beautifully crafted cocktails, small plates and a full size lobster roll on the happy hour menu!!! Bring your friends and take in the beautiful decor, premium drinks and delicious food!! Thank me later!!!

Hayley R.

Yelp
Wow. Tried this place for the first time tonight and it's incredible. By far the best happy hour in hollywood. All the food is high quality. The spot is super cute. The lobster roll is amazing! Def get the cauliflower and the pork belly!! The curry was the best!!

Christopher H.

Yelp
Had dinner here with my partner because she and I love oysters and had to try it. The food is not bad, but the mignonette was trying too hard to be unique and just missed the mark for me. The cocktails were great, and the service was excellent. It's very clean and feels elegant, but still manages a casual vibe.

Carlota M.

Yelp
Great place, food was amazing and service impeccable!! Will be back!!! Ambiance is great for drinks and casual dinner , or a happy hour after office stop as well.

Lezlie B.

Yelp
This is probably one of the best spots I have been to in awhile! The menu was so thoughtfully crafted. Every bite is like a magical food journey of Euphoria. I had the tartare, pork belly, and yellowtail ( I doce into the yellowtail before taking a pic). The tartare was so good we ended up getting two!! Will definitely be back to try more items! Hats off the chef and the staff!

Lauren R.

Yelp
Firs time patron tonight at J&C Oyster on Harrison in downtown Hollywood, working on their 5th week of operation. Cleanly modern vibe, attentive staff, carefully crafted cocktails and delish food. My husband and I shared a nice selection of their happy hour offerings (very reasonably priced) -- unctuous lobster roll dressed lightly in butter with homemade chips, roasted cauliflower, baked oysters, fried chicken, and crab noodles (regular menu item). With two cocktails each, bill was about $150. For those who track such matters, 20% service charge automatically included but well deserved (we rounded up)! Consider supporting a lovely, local place in a neighborhood desperately trying to emerge from its long-time blight that will appreciate your patronage !

Julie H.

Yelp
Omg I've been here twice. Service and food are amazing!! Love the steak tartare, ceviche and fried chicken.

Lina E.

Yelp
Corn bread cake is the best dessert I've ever had in my life! Atmosphere is great too:)

Amelia D.

Yelp
10/10! I can't even begin to describe how amazing every single plate was. The perfect date night spot. Sooo excited to have such a delicious and elevated new spot in Hollywood.

Nicole L.

Yelp
AMAZING Restaurant!!!!!!! Nestled downtown Hollywood, this spot is all about good vibes and great eats. Think ritzy vibes with a splash of seaside charm. It's the kind of place where you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. I love their baked and chilled oysters. Their fried chicken is crispy perfection, and the Fish Dip? Let's just say it's downright addictive. Must-Try Dishes: 1.Clams 2. Steak Tartare 3. Bone Marrow 4. Lobster Risotto 5. Soft Shell Crab Roll The staff? Top-notch. Friendly faces and good vibes make every visit a pleasure. For seafood that hits the spot, J&C Oyster is the place to be. Trust us, you'll leave with a full belly and a smile on your face.

Sara C.

Yelp
Went for anniversary dinner, as awesome as everyone has been saying. Husband loved the fried chicken.

Alison W.

Yelp
Good service. Great bartender! All the food we ordered was delicious. A few of my favorite things were the fish dip, the Thai crab curry, the fried chicken, and the s'mores cake. Some of the food has a bit of spice to it, just to give you a heads up. Great experience.

Elaina M.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our first time dinner here last night. Our group sampled many dishes, but my personal stand outs were the cauliflower, crab curry, fried chicken and corn bread dessert. Service was attentive and friendly. Liked the atmosphere and open kitchen. Happy to see an elevated dining experience on Harrison St. - welcome!

Gerard N.

Yelp
The food is really good. I love the Thai Crab curry bowl. I was told they also have a great happy house. The staff is friendly and atmosphere is nice and relaxed.

Miladys F.

Yelp
First time it was a hit. Then we recently went around 8pm and there was basically nothing on the menu available. We were told by manager that it happens that we need to come earlier to eat. So I guess don't visit if you eat around 8pm.

Christine O.

Yelp
Downtown Hollywood has reached another level for sure. The beautifully designed space and fun bar area make this restaurant is top notch. Great music just loud enough to make you feel you were someplace cool. Service was spot on. Our Drinks of choice were blood orange for me and lemon spritz for my companion topped with bubbly and a secret ingredient and went perfectly with our meal. David the manager stopped by several times to check on us and get our feed back as they just opened. Honestly our only comment was "Please ditch the paper napkins" Incredible flavors complimented the delicate fish in the dishes we sampled. The crab and noodle dish was light and the sauce so good we asked for bread to sop it up. The clams with French Fries piqued my interest and had to try it. Now if you want to talk innovation then this could be the dish. The fries sopped up the sofrito butter and sake. Then came the star of the restaurant! The Lobster Risotto Asian Style. Sushi Rice flavored with a lobster stock of mirin (sweet rice wine), soy, miso and mascarpone, and finished with XO sauce (a Chinese condiment of dried shrimp and scallops), lemon zest and parmesan. That XO sauce was INCREDIBLE and was not your Italian Grandmothers Risotto.

Yelp
Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Really enjoyed the food. The pricing seems slightly above average and the 20% included gratuities is a bit tacky. The one major issue I had with the place was the kitchen is not ventilated properly and we came out smelling like the kitchen, which is not acceptable. If you want to provide a more upscale experience and which on most counts it was, you need to get this corrected.

Yelp
J&C is what Hollywood has been missing. The food is excellent, the interior is inviting, the staff is friendly and accommodating. After trying many menu items, we can safely say that everything is delicious.

Yelp
Its good. Worth trying a second time. The name is misleading. They do have oysters on the menu, but I would not say it is an oyster place. Its sould food meets tropical (with a touch of asian). Confusing cuisine but it works and there are highlights. The soul food items rock. Very refeshing/interesting cucumber salad. I liked it more for its b uniqueness than flavor but was very good. Fried chicken and oxtail fab. Next time will try the pork belly and curry. The (Buffalo wing style) cauliflower is delish. Anything with their chili butter is amazing. The seabass is average. Pass on the confit tuna. Service was attentive, but a little rushed. I will give it a second try. You should go - just order based on reviews.

Yelp
What a great new place in DT Hollywood! Came here for happy hour and couldn't have enjoyed it more. We had the, and I'm writing these in the order of what was our favorite, pork belly, lobster roll, broiled oysters, himachi, and shrimp cocktail. Everything was great. The pork belly was one of the best I've had. Service was good too! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
This place is a fantastic delight, the ambiance, the service and most importantly the food and presentation were an experience that I highly recommend. We sampled about 8 items on the appetizer menu and ended with the cornbread and ice cream dessert, probably the best dessert I've ever had. We will be coming back next week to have entrees and the chocolate s'mores.

Yelp
Enjoyed a date night with my wife. First time here and it wont be our last. Finally a fine dining experience that's worth the money. Sat at the bar on Saturday, our bartender River did an outstanding job. Cocktails were on point and the food was amazing. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal.

Yelp
This is a great addition to the block. One of our favorite restaurants by another amazing chef is Redwood Bar and Kitchen, right down the street. Highly recommend checking out both these wonderful establishments for their atmosphere and inventive and delicious food
