J&G Steakhouse

The steakhouse is on the 5th floor of the Phoenician Resort. It has a bar area and a large, long dining room that it divided into semi-private sections offering tge feel of a smaller space. The dining room. Has full length windo-wall o erlookinf tge view with a balcony that many eaters use to take photos. The balcony has open fire pits. The service is efficient and friendly with the same server handling tge table from beginning to end. The food is great. See photos. Although a steakhouse, 3 of us went with fish mains. A salmon, teabags and a Dover sole which was debonair table side. The fish dishes were very tasty as was the steak and the 2 kids meals. The restaurant surprised us by recognizing our anniversary with a nice personalized dessert. All for consumed was great and so was the service

The food was delicious! There was a very nice atmosphere. Pretty elegant visually. The servers were very knowledgeable and friendly. If you try to make a reservation online and they don’t have your preferred time available, they may have it available if you call the restaurant. (Also, I ate some before I remembered to take a pic😩😂)

My dinner at J&G Steakhouse was absolutely amazing. The view was incredible, with a scenic sunset patio that let us dine under the stars. The customer service was excellent, and the food was fresh and delicious. The wine selection was also fantastic. Overall, a sophisticated and memorable dining experience at the base of Camelback Mountain. Highly recommend it!

We had a large dinner party of around 20 girls come on a Sunday. The service was great and prompt. The view from the restaurant is beautiful. I ended up going for the peppercorn steak which I ultimately regretted. The peppercorn was insanely overpowering and also had way too thick of chunks, so it was kind of inedible. I also ordered sides like the potatoes and mac & cheese, but unfortunately, they never made it to the table. I think they were forgotten. My friends, however, got the prefix menu which I was able to taste and actually really enjoyed. I thought their steak was a lot better than mine. Other than that, the drinks were really good and so is the company which was more important overall.

The GM Frank Armanetti is a truly horrifying human being!!! I’ve been going to J&G for the last 15 years had my family even did my cousins engagement dinner there!! Compared to Patrick his predecessor Frank leaves A lot to be desired. I have a 6lb Maltese service dog and a second even smaller Maltese that I’m training to be a service dog. These dogs don’t shed and very quiet and sit in a stroller. Mr Amanetti literally kicked us out of the EMPTY restaurant because he accused me of my dog not being a service dog and had zero interest in seeing the letter from my Dr as to why I have this dog. I’m a Platinum Elite Bonvoy member and usually travel with my dogs!! They’ve stayed at multiple Ritz Carlton’s this past year and go to all fine dining restaurants in AZ regularly. I’ve never been treated this way. It’s beyond appalling and distressing. I will put in a formal complaint to Marriot and most likely not go to J&G again until he is removed!!!

Absolutely wonderful experience. My hubby and I came here for our 11 year anniversary - so glad we came here. The view and ambiance was unmatched. The GM (I think was Frank) came out to say to us as well. We will be back soon :)

We walked in around 6 PM on a Friday night and there was no availability except for the seats at the bar and lounge area which, in my opinion, were actually stellar seats because they were up against the windows with a gorgeous view of the sunset over the city. Not upset about it at all! Daniel really made the experience at JNG steakhouse. I had several dietary requests and Daniel was totally chill about accommodating all of them. We ordered the grass fed boneless ribeye, a ton of veggies, and the Kabocha squash soup, which was my favorite! I loved the coconut cream and toasted coconut flakes on top and am now inspired to try a recipe like this at home. The espresso martini has also made it into my top three in the city - thx Gabe! They use a vanilla infused vodka, which really adds a unique flavor. Overall, a lovely impromptu dining experience after a day at the spa.

I came with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is very classy with beautiful views of the resort and mountains from the patio. We were greeted with a smile by the restaurant host, Tom. Tom was very nice and sat us immediately. Our sever, Chris, was simply outstanding. We were never left waiting for service. Chris was very knowledgeable, made great suggestions from the menu and a kind and pleasant person. Two of us ordered filets which were cooked perfectly medium. The other two in our party ordered the salmon which they said was cooked spot on. The sides we ordered included scalloped potatoes and creamed spinach. Both were tasty and not overly heavy. For desert, Chris brought the green apple cobbler! Yummy! We thought the dinner was delicious and the restaurant was the perfect atmosphere for a special birthday dinner. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful ambiance and view here! Service was great. Wine list was perfect. Unfortunately, I felt the food fell short. The calamari was almost inedible (dry and unseasoned), the slow cooked salmon was nearly too salty to eat, and the Brussels sprouts were undercooked. Come for a drink and a beautiful view!

Service and Ambience: What an amazing place. We sat at the bar/ lounge area and had the greatest time and full dinner. Everyone was so friendly. We felt relaxed and welcomed. The two bartenders were so friendly. It was so good that we returned the next day. We wanted to share some items and they were nice enough to bring us two plates instead. Food: Some highlights were the tomato salad amazing , lots of flavor; Filet mignon tender and melted in my mouth; Salmon was so deliciously prepared. French onion soup was flavorful. If you are ever in Scottsdale and staying at Phoenician you must try.

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here for an anniversary. The staff is courteous and polite. The steakhouse itself was pristine. Even better is the scenic view right outside the patio. We had made reservations in the evening just after the sun had set. We decided to step outside while we waited on our food. Even though it was nighttime, we were still able to enjoy the view of the moonlight. Outside were multiple fire pits, surrounded by happy families and couples nestled together. Back inside we received the first part of our course, a seasonal item I don't quite remember the name, a pork-based dish with an orange glaze. We found that dish to be delectable. We ordered a steak that was made to our desire. One of the side dishes, the J&G Lobster Shells & Cheese, was our favorite. Chunks of lobster, giant pasta shells, and gooey pulls of cheese- it was an elevated take on mac and cheese they executed marvelously. Dessert was on the house, a sweet touch by the staff that was aware we were celebrating a special occasion. After our meal, we made our way to the the resort lobby. There, we found comfortable seats to lounge on as we waited for our ride. The bar downstairs was overflowing with guests. A band played music while a small group of patrons danced. Everyone was having a great time. A staff member asked what we were celebrating and when we said our anniversary. We were then offered complimentary drinks. Another gesture we greatly appreciated. It's fair to say we had an excellent visit.

J&G was our favorite steakhouse of the 3 that we tried during our Scottsdale visit. The view, food and service were fabulous. This is a great place for a romantic dinner, anniversary or date night! We came here twice during the week we stayed at the hotel. The first visit we ordered salmon, filet and the mushroom side. They were so kind to have a handwritten note for my husband's birthday and a delicious complimentary dessert. The complimentary bread is so good! For the 2nd visit, we did the tasting menu which all 3 of us liked very much. Everyone does have to order this if you choose this option but it was a nice way to try a variety of items. Since the tasting menu has the same items you can order, if you have a bigger group or not everyone wants to do the tasting menu, you can just order the appetizers to share as well. It was nice to try the tasting menu but not sure I would get that again unless there were items on the tasting menu that you couldn't get otherwise.

During my staycation at The Phoenician, I dined at J & G Steakhouse. This was a very pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was upscale and the outside views are amazing. The food looked appetizing and tasted very good. The service was fantastic. My sister who I was with got escorted to the restroom instead of being pointed in its direction. I ordered the calamari for an appetizer. It was very fresh amd cooked perfectly with a light flaky batter. For my entree I ordered the lamb T-bone and a side of mac n cheese. Both were very delicious. The one thing that I will need to return for is the dessert.

Our server was so kind and welcoming, the views are lovely, but the food just ok. Bread to start is ok. The tomato salad looks beautiful, but needed salt. Caesar salad is very heavily dressed and a bit pale looking with croutons that didn't add anything special. King crab tasted fine, but quite pricey. Lobster mac is very rich- more of a cream sauce than cheese, with big chunks of perfectly cooked lobster. A nice splurge if you have a group to share bc a few bites is enough. The sauteed spinach had a strong spice/herb that I wasn't expecting and didn't love. The staff is friendly, but service was a bit uncoordinated. Dishes were delivered without serving utensils. Plates and utensils cleared after the first course, but not replaced. Fine place to go if you want to get dressed up and sit somewhere pretty. Maybe stick to the bar for a glass of sparkling wine next time.

J&G Steakhouse was truly delicious! We started off with house made bread that just melted in your mouth it was beyond soft and buttery! Then we ordered black truffle cheese fritters, and shared a 16oz six peppercorn prime NY steak, and then we were given warm chocolate cake on the house for our honeymoon they were so kind and attended to us very well! Definitely will be coming back here! The vibe is so romantic and we were on the highest floor and the balcony view was incredible!

Atmosphere is great.....Service was outstanding! Don't be in a hurry, take in the dining experience. Steaks were great. Listen to your server when recommending side sauces. Manager was great with his wine recommendations and table side visits to chat about wine.

The service is the main reason im giving this restaurant 5 stars. Everyone was Extremely attentive and the manager even went around to introduce himself. The view is beautiful day time or night. The food was yummy especially the steak. This venue is so fancy and it has a bar. Perfect for an anniversary.

One of the best steaks that I have had in the desert. Visiting town from Los Angeles for the weekend so we wanted a special place to have a great dinner. I have stayed at the Phoenician a few times before so have known about J&G for quite a while but last night was our first time trying it. It has great views of the valley and is very large and open on the inside. They have a large and long bar with live music on one side and then a lot of seating options next to that. We reserved a booth by the window however there was a booking issue so we had to sit at another table. Our server was very polite and prompt, and made up for the seating mishap a bit. I chose the Heirloom Tomatoes with Roasted Peaches, and the Filet Mignon 12oz. The heirloom tomatoes were very tasty although the dish was very small in portion size. I wouldn't really call it an appetizer, it is more a starter or tapas sized portion. The steak, however, was delicious and cooked perfectly. Definitely one of the better steaks that I've had in the desert and I would certainly order it again. Overall a really great dinner with great service and a great steak. The only issue we had was the seating mishap, but aside from that it was a great dinner overall and I would definitely recommend it.

Come for sunset! We love coming here for the amazing view at sunset. We order drinks from the bar and walk to the outdoor patio that overlooks The Phoenician Resort and surrounding area. You can see Papago, downtown Phoenix, Tempe, Old Town Scottsdale, etc. The food is excellent. We haven't ordered anything that we didn't enjoy. We usually order something from the raw bar, tuna tartar, black truffle cheese fritters, and split a salad and steak. They are always so accommodating and have the kitchen split it for us. The atmosphere is friendly and you really can't beat the view.

J&G Steakhouse is located inside The Phoenician, Scottsdale's luxury resort hotel. When you pull at the front of the hotel, you already feel like you're on a vacation getaway. Walk through the open, airy lobby and take the elevator directly to J&G. As soon as you step off, you'll notice a round table with a beautiful floral arrangement and as you walk around you are able to see the dinner menu offerings propped on the table as well as drinks and cocktails menus on the other side of the table. Then you will notice the hostess stand at the end of room that opens to a grand bar and lounge with a spectacular view of the resort and the city of Phoenix. While the patrons' attire ranged from neat, resort casual to formal and dressy, this restaurant is definitely a place where you can enjoy from having an intimate dinner to having a large party celebrating a special occasion. The staff and service here are incredible, attentive and amazing. They were great to engage with and extremely helpful with the menu selections. From start to finish, one of the best fine dining experience I've had in a long while. Each dish that was ordered was prepared and plated beautifully. We couldn't help but be awed by everyone's selections. The taste was perfection. Thank you so much for a wonderful and memorable night!

I had an amazing time at J&G steakhouse. Service was EXCELLENT, the ambiance EXCELLENT, the most important...food was EXCELLENT. J&G Steakhouse is located at the Phoenician Resort. The food that was ordered; the crispy calamari, grass fed boneless ribeye steak, macaroni and cheese, and the Lamb T-Bone. The calamari was so delicious and full of flavor. The seasoning on this was superb and the rosemary dipping sauce complimented it so well, the grass fed ribeye came with broccoli condiment, crispy garlic, ginger and chili....this was so delicious, steak was cooked perfect, broccoli very good and the crispy garlic, ginger and chili concoction gave a nice kick to the steak. (chef's kiss). Lastly, the mac and cheese and Lamb T-Bone was oh so very good. The restaurant has a really view of the grounds of the resort and some of Phoenix. Everything was just beautiful. Rate J&G Steakhouse 10/10

J & G Steakhouse, a dinner delight, filet mignon cooked to sheer perfection at night. The chopped salad so good, we had to conspire, to crack the recipe we deeply admire. Cocktails in hand and wine pours so grand, with Phoenix lights flickering, its view is quite grand.

I'm not someone who frequents steakhouses, luckily my server gave great recommendations. I had their lobster escargot as a starter and was very happy by how flavorful it was. Be careful though it does come out very hot(I was a bit impatient). For my entree I had a specialty New York steak and it was cooked to perfection and had a nice crisp skin. For dessert I had the bread pudding and ice cream and it was a great way to finish off the meal. I had 0 complaints and enjoyed the experience.

Came here for my fiance b day. Food was okay wasnt that great for the price and service wasn't all that great. Requested to get a seatting view and it wasn't what I expected, wasnt a good view where i was seated. I didn't think the bread was good it was on warm side and didnt look fresh and good. Overall it was an okay experience, they could of gave me a good view instead of just lookin outside just a light versus i requested to see sunset.

I had reservations at the bar. The servers behind the bar Daniel and Gabe were great to chat with. I ordered 7oz grass fed steak with broccoli and mushrooms, dinner was very good. The view had a great sunset and the ambiance fit well with the view. My evening was enjoyable I went back another night for a cocktail before I went out

Beautiful restaurant! The ambience and views of the mountains on the balcony were outstanding. I took my fiancé on a date just because and he loved it as well. Our waiter was fantastic and provided really great suggestions such as the heirloom & cucumber salad, my fiancé tried the lamb chops and creamed spinach which he was completely awe by and I ordered the calamari and peppercorn steak which was cooked to perfection. The sauce was great as well. Our waiter also suggested mocktails since I am pregnant. I really appreciate that he had an eye for detail. I loved that part. He also brought out a beautiful dessert to congratulate us on our new baby. The restaurant was fairly priced as well as I expected to spend more. We will be back!

So, where to start. Table of one. I get it. Probably only $200 check but let's go with less people to impress. Very underwhelmed with the waiter, Jose's attention to anyone near me who was a swindle. When I mentioned the seat was so over air conditioned that I had to decline dessert or move l was put me at a used table (not that theee were any other seatings at 9pm). Just Not what I expected out of a restaurant within the Phoenician.

Well staying at the Phoenician so far has been a 1/10 with delayed check in and ina polity to access wireless. Not good So as a glutton for punishment I made a reservation here For a restaurant that is large and has much empty tables you think you were dining ina. Five star restaurant for limited availability Absurd really Starting with the waitress who obviously could not remember simple side dishes ordered like spinach and french fries Wow must be a brain teaser Well i ordered the famous black truffle fried and sauteed spinach for anemia filet mignon and my wife the slow cooked salmon with rhubarb glaze The restaurant is surrounded by sites of lights in Scottsdale and was breathtaking Loud restaurant but could hear my wife during dinner The filet bone in was one of the best prepared I have eaten salted perfectly with an almost umami flavor The truffle fries were perfect served with black truffle ketchup and a garlic aioli The salmon wa cooked perfectly and completed Sauteed spinach was flavored with a sense of dill sauteed well Overall wonderful dinner balancing a Tough start Thank you

Let me start by saying the staff are very very nice. Service staff was not an issue. We went there for anniversary and they made us feel special. Now the problem was the food. It was average for the price and it took longer than usual to get to us. Earlier in the day, My husband and I split lunch and everything all day and had our own steaks at JG. He ended up with food poisoning so we both believe it was from his dinner. So done at your own risk. It was not worth $400.

Let me tell you, J&G Steakhouse isn't your average steak joint. It's a whole vibe. The moment I walked in, the Phoenix skyline unfolded before me, a million twinkling stars against the inky canvas. Seriously, the view alone was worth the price of admission. But the food? Oh man, the food. My filet was cooked to absolute perfection, a juicy masterpiece that practically melted on my tongue. The crab cake? A revelation of fresh, perfectly seasoned crabmeat. And the chocolate dessert? Let's just say it was the kind of ending that leaves you wanting to lick the plate clean (decorum be damned). But what really made the night was the service. Shoutout to Abigail and Austin, who tag-teamed our large group (two separate tables, no less!) with the finesse of seasoned pros. They were friendly, attentive, and always a step ahead, making sure our glasses were never empty and our needs were met with a smile. Look, J&G Steakhouse isn't cheap, but for a special occasion or a night to remember, it's worth every penny. Just be sure to ask for Abigail and Austin - they'll make sure your experience is nothing short of stellar.

Treated very well! I had planned on dining in-restaurant but was unable to because my wife was feeling tired and instead had to do take-out. I was staying at the Phoenician, too. The host or GM, could have been either, went out of his way to take care of me, ring me up at the bar for the food I wanted and even brought me some water while I hung out. He really didn't need to do any of that on such a busy Saturday night. Thanks so much J&G!

This is a perfect special occasion spot! The restaurant is gorgeous, the food is well prepared, and the service is 5-star. I'd recommend a reservation for this spot as meals here can take a while. From sitting down to paying the bill it was a total of 2.5 hours. For me that's an eternity, but in this case it was time well spent. The restaurant is huge with one of the best views of Phoenix I've ever seen. All of the tables are positioned to admire the south facing view of Downtown Phoenix and Tempe. I was very impressed! A lot of the food here is very generic to other steak houses but they tend to push the seafood here more than anything else. If seafood is your thing you gotta come here! I'm not that big of a fan of shellfish and wanted to try out a few of the different options on the menu. Fortunately they had a pre fixed menu option that came with: Truffle potato fritters that were basically croquets, Tuna tartare (a local favorite apparently), Mushroom risotto, Entree of 1/2 Lobster and a filet mignon, Dessert of chocolate lava cake. All for $99 so we decided to go for this option! We decided to sub the filet mignon for an 8 oz cut of the prime New York strip. The staff was in a bit of an uproar, they'd never heard of someone wanting to sub out the filet. Eventually, as you can see from the pics they were able to accommodate. I'd definitely recommend it cause the New York Strip was amazing. It's always been my experience that Filet Mignon is pretty underwhelming. I'd do the pre fix menu again but it'd be nice to get a different dessert next time. Chocolate lava cake just reminds me of Jack in the Box drive thru. If you need a spot to propose, to take out your parents, or to just feel special for a night, I'd recommend this J&G Steak house.

Food was better than expected! I was hesitant about getting the Tasting Menu but the food exceeded my expectations. We started the night off with some wine and cocktails and were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bread. The bread was unique. It tasted like a Brioche bun but shaped like a muffin. The first course was the Black Truffle Cheese Fritters. Amazing! I could have had 10 more of them. The Mushroom Risotto came next. It was a cheesy perfection! I typically don't like risotto but this one was the best I've had. Afterward came there Tuna Tartare which I was a bit skeptical about. However, it was creamy and tasty. We swapped the Grilled Filet Mignon for the 10oz Six Peppercorn Prime NY Steak for an $8 up charge. That was delicious! The Main Lobster was nice! I wish it had a sauce to accompany it. The dessert was ok, definitely not my favorite. The food was 5 star but I felt that since we were a party of two, we were often overlooked by our server. We were surrounded by 4 tops and we sensed that our server was paying way more attention to the larger tables (more tips $).

Amazing views and service was great! Located in the Phoenician. It's a must try if you're visiting Phoenix on vacation.

We always have a good experience here. Food and service are excellent. I recommend the sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

Stay away. Unfriendly service, no desire to help their guests. I was staying at hotel in a suite, I am Marriott Ambassador Elite and even though the restaurant had many open tables they would not accommodate a request for early seating. Wasn't allowed to sit at the empty tables and chairs in the bar room and was told we could only sit at the bar. Bartender was unfriendly. Maitre'd was unfriendly, wait staff wouldn't look us in the eye. After waiting an hour looking at an empty restaurant we left and went to a restaurant with great service even though they were three times as busy. The restaurant looks old, the decor totally uninspiring, and no service ethic. Didn't stick around long enough to try the food as we went to one of the many amazing Phoenix restaurants that actually wanted our business. Never going back here.

The service is amazing. Mike the manager made sure we were fully taken care of on our anniversary, checked in multiple times and even gave us a dessert on the house. Our server Isaac was also very attentive and kind. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The food was tasty, prepared right (I got a medium rare steak and it was prepared as such). Mike even asked to take pictures of us on the balcony for our anniversary, which is now a memory we will share. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I was really looking forward to this place, but a few things spoiled it. You will probably have a better experience than I did so still give it a shot. The negatives were we got sat at a tiny table even though everyone around us were parties of 2 at 4 tops. We asked for a bigger table but they couldn't make it work. Our server never mentioned it was our anniversary, although he did to the table next to us. I ordered my steak medium rare but it came blue rare, though he did fix it quickly. And lastly the food took a while to come out. Overall the staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome.

A steakhouse that caters to gluten-free and their menu is literally almost 100% gluten-free oh that I forgot to mention they have gluten-free bread!!!!!!!!!! A lot of restaurants and manly steakhouses do not cater to gluten-free they don't have gluten free, french fries, gluten free bread... but coming here everything pretty much is a gluten-free and everything is amazing. The staff is so knowledgeable, the views of the city are breathtaking.

Heard about this place from friends and acquaintances, but never tried. Decided to come couple days before Christmas holidays to soak up festive atmosphere and try some delicious food. Huge applause goes to our waitress Jiovanna who was very much on top of her game, provided us with fabulous recommendations and constantly kept checking up on us to make sure we had everything we needed. She recommended seabass dish that was phenomenal. I have eaten the fish all over the world-from Moscow to Amsterdam but never tried such delicious seabass. Her recommendation was spot on! Lobster Mac&Cheese was fabulous as well. My husband likes his steak, however that was a disappointment. It's wasn't cooked to his satisfaction, and waitress comped us a dessert to make up for that. Overall, if you're not going to this steakhouse to try a good steak and open to other delicious dishes, that's the place for you. Service is superb and ambience is beautiful. Jiovanna was the best!

I've been here a few times. Surprised I've never written a review. Food is always good to great, depending what you get. However, the service is always very good here. Plus, great views of the property. Last time I came, they had a live musician so that was kinda cool. I caught the tail end of that. When I arrived, I had to wait for my table as I was a little early. I sat in the bar area, and noticed nothing had been cleaned so there were dirty/empty glasses at all the tables and no one was sitting there. Not sure if they were short staffed or cuz it was toward the end of the night, they figured no one would come up and didn't bother to clean? It was a bit odd and seemed very unlike them. Was shown to a table and it's just funny that they sit me in the same table as last time I was there. Is that the only option for single or two top? Hmmm. Cuz it's always inbetween two big tables and they are usually quite loud so I don't like that, but whatever. I had an awesome server. I think his name was Wes? He was so thorough and kind and attentive. He told me the specials. He checked in on me while he was busy serving multiple tables. He let me order extra scoops of sorbet and when he realized the kitchen didn't bring me one of the flavors, he personally went to the back to get it for me. He was super prompt in bagging up my leftovers and taking care of the check. I don't like holding up people after the restaurant is closed so I was in and out in under an hour. I don't think they are used to that, but he rolled with it like a professional. I enjoyed my steak, fries, the bernaise sauce, and my coconut ice cream and berry sorbet. The French onion soup was meh--I had wanted the corn soup, but they were out. Would definitely come back whenever I'm at the hotel or near the area. The table next to me actually asked to speak to the manager to tell them how good the food and service was and I thought that was really sweet of them. The other table left to go take pix outside and I think their server took the pix for them.

Let me begin this review by stating the obvious: this restaurant is in a nice hotel with amazing views. Aside from that and the wine selection, I have minimal good things to say. My husband and I went to this restaurant as his surprise for me on my birthday. They were nice enough to greet me happy birthday when we got there but the experience was like a gift that I wanted to return. Our server was nice but I felt like we were being hurried through the evening. Not much input on the menu but he did, to good credit, have a good knowledge of the wines they have available. The waitress that was serving our food and the other who refilled our drinks looked like it was their first time doing it. One kept either over pouring the water or dropping ice everywhere. Simple mistakes are fine but she just walks away like it never happened. We had to ask someone else to help us wipe down the table. The one who was serving the food was just trying to shove everything on the table with no effort to make space. We had to move plates and food and drinks (which spilled) around ourselves. I didn't expect that kind of service for a place such as J&G steakhouse. My husband was so disappointed since it was his surprise for me. The food was sub par. I ordered a medium rare steak and it arrived as well done on the outside (very dry) and raw on the inside. And it arrived cold. The truffle fries were well seasoned but they looked like they came out of a Costco bag. And the lobster Mac and cheese was mostly pasta shells and some lobster. All in all, it was a sub par experience. We didn't let it ruin our night but maybe J&G steakhouse is now way past its prime. All in all,

Great staff! Amazing views! Delicious food that will please any palate. We tried the salmon and the seabass, as well as the heirloom tomatoes. They proved to be great choices. Very welcome ambience. J&G is Located on the 5th floor inside of the Phoenician Resort. Valet parking available.

Expensive but the food was excellent as was the service. Get the tomahawk to share with others, they cut it at your table.

Nice Experience. The restaurant is nice. It is a great for a special date night or celebration. However, it is expensive. The food was good but still felt overpriced to me. Expect to spend at least $100 per person, easy. Overall, enjoyed the dinner, the service and atmosphere.

Romantic date night? J&G has you covered. The amazing panoramic view of the city personifies the language of Love. You will be surrounded by Family celebrations and smiles, full of enjoyment and love. We arrived on Saturday, to our surprise we were greeted by live music entertainment in the bar/lounge area. I have to say it did get a bit loud for our taste, but it was a welcomed surprise. We had a large party of 9 and they accommodated us in more ways than one. Service was amazing very attentive to our table. The food is gourmet, fresh and delicious. Wish I could have taken more pictures, it was so good didn't have time. It's the perfect backdrop for a perfect evening. Don't forget get your parking validated if you don't valet.

This was my second time to this establishment. If you haven't been, you are really missing out on one of the finest dining experiences in Scottsdale. From valet, to being seated and through the entire meal, they treat you like royalty. The food is prepared perfectly and the outside views are AMAZING! We had the sole and the salmon. Both mouthwatering delicious! I'm looking forward to returning again in the near future. The wine selection was extensive and wine paring was available.

Very attentive staff. Explaining everything about the sauces that are the stand out items of this restaurants. We loved the shrimp starters, the main course with side of asparagus and the chocolate cake dessert!!!

Our son is getting married in Scottsdale and we are looking for a nice restaurant to have the rehearsal dinner. J&G came highly recommended for their food and atmosphere. We were not disappointed! The wait staff was AWESOME and very attentive. The views from the dining room are fantastic and the food was delicious! I had the grass fed ribeye and my wife got the scallops. Very nice experience. If your near Camelback Mountain and looking for a nice dining experience with great views, give J&G a try... you won't be disappointed!!!

DO NOT EAT HERE!! How do you ruin a filet mignon? I don't know, but ask the cooks at J and G, they did. The second reason to NOT EAT HERE, is, they have a wonderful sounding "classic tasting menu" prix fix dinner but can be ordered only if the entire party orders it. I posted a picture of the "classic tasting menu" and at the bottom it states "entire table, please", a confusing disclaimer, we should've walked out when the waiter explained it to us. But the wait help noticed I had just a few bites from my 12 oz filet and offered us a complementary/consolation free dessert. You have been warned, DONOT EAT HERE!!!

Stopped by for happy hour & it did not disappoint! Crab legs on deck with plenty of hor dourves, along with some white wines & plenty of vino. Service was pleasant, can't wait to sit down & dine in with an actual steak next time around. Will have to check it out when I'm back in town & certainly recommend to a friend that I'll bring along!

This was by far the best place I've gone for steak! It's pricey ($400 meal) but totally worth it!! The waiter was very attentive and again the ambiance was breathe taking. Lovely evening with live music and the place to go be your classy sassy self! The ginger Margarita were mouth watering, I will definitely be back here!
