Yelp
I was craving sushi on a trip and browsing Yelp for nearby restaurants when I found this place. The high number of reviews and decent rating gave me hope, but this sushi was the worst I've ever had. Not sure if I just went on a bad day, but if this is the sushi standard for people in Seattle for this place to have an average of 4/5 stars, I feel sorry for them.
Of the 12 piece omakase set, nearly every single nigiri was mushy, fishy, and disgusting. I don't love the taste of every fish, so as long as it doesn't taste bad it's fine, but I was struggling to swallow after 5 pieces and gagging at each bite trying to convince myself that it wasn't that bad because I chose this restaurant of my own free will. Finishing this set was harder than walking uphill in downtown all day. Can't deny that it is a beautiful set though, but that's all that it's good for.
I did not try any rolls, but I can only imagine if they are made of the same fish that the nigiri is made from that the sauce, rice, seaweed, and other additions mask the disgusting flavor and texture.
The ceviche and sukiyaki tacos were good though, and it almost tempted me to give this restaurant 2 stars. However, it will remain at 1 because the name of the restaurant literally has the word "sushi" in it and is listed as a Sushi Bar on Yelp. If you're gonna emphasize the sushi, make it edible.
TLDR: disgusting, literally so bad. do NOT come here!! you'd have better raw fish if it was delivered by a non-refrigerated truck to the middle of Kansas.
