"Sure, you’ll pay $33 for a plate of scrambled eggs and a side of spinach, but when you want to get the deal done (and look good doing it), Jean-Georges is where you go for breakfast. Located inside the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills, this hotel restaurant won’t impress your client with its objectively run-of-the-mill food, but no one’s here to ooh-and-ahh over fluffy pancakes. You’re here to snag that investment, throw down the corporate card, and waltz merrily back to the office. " - Jess Basser Sanders, Brant Cox, Nikko Duren

Nice chef restaurant. The service was very confused. In a 6 course menu we got 5 dishes in the wrong order. It was good, great steak and lobster. Caviar was great too. But is it worth the price? Not sure. Especially sitting in the tent felt a bit cheap and not adequate. The wine was ridiculously expensive. Better bring a bottle from home.

We loved the Roof top at this restaurant the staff was wonderful. Their food is very delicious the portions are just perfect. This is a must visit restaurant not only for the views while having dinner but also for the wonderful staff and amazing food. We recommend you make reservations on open table

Google
I always love my experience at Jean-Georges and the Beverly Hills location did not disappoint. I went on Christmas Day for the prefixe menu. Yes, it’s expensive. $160 pp but keep in mind it’s not just about the food, it’s about the whole vibe at JG. The decor, the service, the ambiance is all breathtaking. There are vegetarian options too. I had the butternut squash soup, tagliatelle and a trio of deserts. Highly recommend the Ginger margarita.

Google
The attentive service, food ( beef tenderloin was my favourite) and ambience made for a fabulous dining experience . We dine in the private dining room and would highly recommend for a special occasion.

Google
A beautiful space that had incredible breakfasts. We were there for two days and got their French toast and eggs benedict. This was one of the best eggs benedicts that I've ever had. The ham was outstanding, the potatoes were perfectly cooked, and the eggs were perfectly poached.

Google
Super super Overrated. Taste 1 Star on all 8 courses. Tuna sucked (they do not even know how to prepare tuna, uneven cuts and stringy), tenderloin sucks (tastes like liver) and wine really sucks. Service is good.

Google
Attentive service. Comfortable, classy, and quiet dining environment. I would come here again. food is great but could be better. Loved the view of the rooftop.

Google
Chic place to dine in, went for breakfast on a Sunday and really enjoyed my time there. Food was typical breakfast food, good but not exceptional.

Kisha L.

Yelp
I ate here for brunch, before attending an event inside the Waldorf Hotel and had a fabulous time. A few years ago the menu did not have many items on it, however, I am glad they added more items to the menu. They have a respectable amount of options to choose from and everyone can find something to eat. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was beautiful. The weather was clear and brisk with an unbelievable view of Beverly Hills. We tried everything, the lobster burger, guacamole, Caesar salad, soup, and cookies. Their alcoholic drinks were very good too. The lemon drop was my favorite. Very trendy upscale environment. Wonderful place to eat brunch, lunch, or dinner. Note: Valet parking only

Yelp
Excellent breakfast. The outdoor seating is amazing and staff is very friendly. I highly recommend the caviar pancakes, a nice twist on the original mix, with an actual full sized pancake, with cream, salmon, and a generous amount of caviar!

Misa L.

Yelp
We tried several of their breakfast items on multiple days during our stay; both sit down and breakfast take out to eat in room. Nothing spectacular to note about the breakfast menu items except that they all tasted good (avo toast, egg sandwich, oatmeal, pancakes, French toast...). Expensive, but you're paying for the name and the hotel it's in. We went for dinner and tried the tasting. We had high expectations since we have been to the Jean-Georges in NY. It started great with hubby's cocktail and my mocktail. Toasted egg yolk topped with caviar was amazing!! My toddler was fighting over the rest of my half lol from there, food went downhill. Roasted wagyu beef tenderloin (medium) was a tad dry. The rest of the dishes were ok. Not worth the price, but they offered us a 50% off on everything except liquor when we checked-in days earlier. Without it, we definitely would not have went.

Yelp
A long-anticipated visit to the famous Jean-Georges. The restaurant is nestled in the well-known Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills. The interior is beautifully decorated with high ceilings and chandeliers, with the bar to the left and a dimly-lit, romantic dining room to the right. The restaurant is rather spacious, with booths by the walls, and tables in the center. Service was excellent. Staff was attentive and always made sure that my glass was full. She checked in whenever necessary and it did not feel over bearing. It was just the right amount of attention. I wanted to try a little bit of everything, so I went with their Winter Tasting Menu, without the wine pairing ($180). Course 1: toasted egg yolk with caviar By far, my favorite of the six courses. There were three egg yolks sandwiches between two, lightly toasted crisps, topped with a bed of caviar on the top. Flavor was light, well-balanced, and it had me craving for more. Fantastic little dish to kick off the meal. Course 2: cured sea trout with butternut juice lime sauce. This was similar to salmon sashimi slices, made out to look like a rose, with sauce on the bottom. Again, a fairly light dish and it had a hint of lemongrass. I enjoyed this dish. Course 3: cheese ravioli with basil butter Parmesan. Sadly, course 3 is where the experience started to normalize. It was cheese ravioli that was just, well, cheese ravioli. It didn't blow my mind, it was exactly what the dish described. Course 4: striped bass with fragrant coconut juice A little bland and could've used a bit more flavor. The fish also felt a bit too overdone to me, as I usually like my bass a bit softer and falling-off-my-knife texture. Again, will probably forget about this dish after writing about it. Course 5: toasted wagyu beef tenderloin I asked for medium rare but the small portion of meat was presented to me in medium. Despite this, this was very good, and the accompanying vegetables were also flavorful. Broccoli was slightly salty. Course 6: molten chocolate cake Very kind that the restaurant included birthday wishes on my dessert. It was a molten chocolate cake that was, indeed, a molten chocolate cake, with nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, it was a good experience, however I will likely not return. For this price, it was to be expected, if not better, but now that I've crossed Jean-Georges off of my list, I will likely be taking my dollars to a different fine-dining restaurant. I think it's worth a visit, but should not be on top of must-visit list. But glad I went!

Yelp
Jean-George's service is top notch. The ambiance is upscale & pleasant. It was my first time there, so I took a seat at the bar. I was greeted by a beautiful brunette bartender. She recommended the raspberry Bellini, which was a 10/10. Look forward to coming back.

Loretta L.

Yelp
Outstanding on so many levels! From the greeting to our good bye 5*. We were well-greeted by the manager Greg for our 8Pm reservation. Greg showed up to our table & was happy to have us back. Our server William was so attentive, knowledgeable and always smiled which is very important to me. He was genuine & super competent in his profession. Jorge at the bar makes a delicious lemon drop cocktail. I had the roasted salmon and the Caesar salad was the best I have ever eaten. The sunset was literally a bonus on this perfect evening. Shout out to Adriane too. He was such a sweetheart!

Linda K.

Yelp
We chose the seasonal menu called Taste of Spring, which was $180 a person with 6 courses. The first course was called Toasted Egg Yolk Caviar, made with Kaviari Kristal caviar. The caviar tasted amazing. The eggs were perfectly soft but not runny. This was the best course of the night. The second course was Madai Ceviche, with rhubarb juice, red onion, and avocado. Madai is a red seabream fish from Japan. This course tasted great - it was light and delicious, but nothing particularly special about it. It tasted like an upper end sushi restaurant's yellowtail ceviche. Course 3: Spring Pea Potstickers These Spring Pea Potstickers were so tasty, but it was a little too salty for my personal preference. Course 4: Striped Bass. The striped bass is accompanied with spring garlic-lemon nage, silky fava beans and artichoke hearts. The nage broth and fava beans were amazing. The striped bass was average because the skin was overfried. The artichoke hearts had many unchewable pieces, which should not ever happen at a restaurant of this caliber. Course 5 was a roasted wagyu beef tenderloin with white asparagus and buttery hot sauce. At least that's what the menu says. The beef was very tender, as expected, but it had VERY little flavor. I don't like my beef to be seasoned much, but this beef had almost no flavor at all. The sauce was not buttery or hot, it was very citrusy. Last course, the dessert, Molten Chocolate Cake with Vanilla bean ice cream. This was amazing. The restaurant was beautiful and the service was impeccable. Compare to most other Michelin level restaurants we've partaken, most of the courses did not feel up to par.

Yelp
A beautiful restaurant at the happening location of Beverly hills. The restaurant is inside the Waldorf Astoria hotel. The interiors look immaculate, warm, and welcoming. It was a vendor sponsored event, and so I got to taste their 4 course meal. The service is top-notch, very courteous, and attentive. The rooftop visit is a must, do not miss the breathtaking view of Hollywood from there. The food tasted very good, high quality and very fresh. Definitely recommend it if you are going to take your family or friends for an upscale dining place. The salad and the butternut squash soup was delicious.

Angie A.

Yelp
I will start by saying: the BEST BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP we have ever had! It was savory with bits of crunch from sunflower seeds and just the right subtle amount of sweetness; perfection. While the menu changes often, you should definitely try if available. Other than that though, everything else was just okay, nothing I would specifically return for as a foodie. The mushroom crusted salmon was cooked perfectly though. Brussel sprout side (balsamic glaze with avocado pieces) was also worth ordering again. The service was SOO SLOW though, wow. Good convenient place to eat if you are staying at the Waldorf visiting, but if you live here, time and money is better spent on the rooftop-- better menu in my opinion, and obv can't beat the vibe/view.

Amy D.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. We had dinner here while staying at the Waldorf. We have two kids so we didn't want to leave the hotel to eat anywhere else. Usually restaurants in the hotel are not special but the food here was quite good. It was expensive but it was expected. Service was great. I was hesitated to try because reading so many negative reviews but I'm glad we decided to dine here.

Jessica K.

Yelp
Flawless from start to finish. The hotel looked beautiful with the holiday decorations. Classy, sophisticated, and elegant. Restaurant was lovely - quiet, cozy and peaceful. The server was friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed a light breakfast - fresh and perfectly made. Easily one of the most enjoyable breakfasts I've had in LA.

Sabrina L.

Yelp
I came here for a holiday work lunch. We were a party of 7, so we had a minimum amount we were required to spend, which was kinda fun for us to be able to rack up our bill (which wasn't hard to exceed because of the high prices on the menu). The food here is excellent. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service here was decent, but our table was partially in the sunlight, so my boss had a glare throughout the lunch. We asked multiple times for an umbrella for shade and no one was able to deliver one, which was shocking to me because they must've had this request before at this table. I can't believe they haven't found a solution to make their guests more comfortable. We had valet parking, but it is free if you dine at the restaurant. The staff downstairs was very nice and helpful and the Christmas trees they had in the lobby were very elegant and festive. I'd recommend coming here for a business lunch, but perhaps not at a table that would expose you to the sun.

Yelp
I came to the Jean-Georges restaurant at the Beverly Waldorf Astoria Hotel again after two years. I feel that it tastes better after the epidemic. The most important thing is that it is in the hotel, so it is safer. Safety is now the only worry for everyone living in Los Angeles. Some restaurants have roads. There is an outdoor table next to it, but someone may be robbed at gunpoint at any time. Tonight's dishes are only 8 courses. I think the softly poached egg is very good because it is paired with caviar. The toast is also very crispy. The wagyu is the softest I have ever tasted. The steak completely melts in your mouth. There is a lot of black and white pepper on it. It reminds me of Chinese spicy and sour belly. The overall environment, service and taste are nothing to say except it is a bit bland hahaha. I have a strong taste. Three people spent 1300 US dollars. The price is reasonable and the environment is excellent.

Yelp
We had our Thanksgiving meal here at Jean-George's in the Waldorf Astoria. It was a bit disappointing for the $175 per person price. Both the service and the food was underwhelming. My wife had the butternut squash soup, turkey dinner and pumpkin pie. I had tuna tartare, grilled lobster, apple pie. First my wife's meal. The soup was the best thing both for flavor and presentation. The turkey was dry, all 4 small slices. The accompanying stuffing had a good flavor. The pumpkin pie was not anything extraordinary. It could have been store bought. My meal started with tuna tartare which was average. The texture was similar to spicy tuna mixture. The grilled lobster was tasty but small. There was a small tail and with claw meat lying in the shell. The apple pie with ice cream was fair. One of the children not hungry left their whole wagyu tenderloin uneaten. Family style sides were also included. I tried convincing my wife to order something other than turkey but she's gotta have turkey on Thanksgiving. I told her I could make 5 whole turkeys with stuffing for $175. The service was lacking. People seated after us were served sooner. Some tables had bread, our table nothing. Two lobsters were brought to our table then one was immediately removed, wrong table. The one that was left sat there since no one else was served. Eventually they came back for that lobster and said they will serve our entire table soon. We waited and waited. Bottom line...at $175 per person, epic fail in terms of food, service and experience.

Katie S.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant! Always love to come back here. Chill and friendly service as always! tried their tasting menu, The toasted egg yolk with caviar is pretty good! (reasonable price in my opinion). valet parking at the hotel entrance.

Emily C.

Yelp
We dined here right before COVID hit. While we were waiting for our table to be set up, we enjoyed the nice ambiance and relaxing piano music that was being played. I had the red snapper and got a scale in my first bite so I just took off the skin and didn't get to enjoy the crust. My fiance got a steak and it was pretty good, but I've had better elsewhere. My fiance told me the molten lava cake was claimed to have been invented by Jean-Georges, so we just had to order it even though we were pretty full already. My second stomach really enjoyed it. Bill was our server and I felt like he just did the bare minimum for us. For a place like Jean-Georges, I expected exceptional service. That's what the table next to us received, but we got none of that. We didn't even get the little dessert box that other tables got. Sadly, the ambiance, decor, and floral arrangements were more memorable than the food.

David K.

Yelp
Spectacular meal and ambience. We had the tasting menu which I must say was one of the best meals anywhere in the world. There were so many dishes I wish I had taken a photo of the menu. Each course was a masterpiece of quality, plating, ingredents and flavor. The service also just impeccable ( I think our main server was named Bill) but the training of each and every person that approached our table was beyond expectation. And the prices are quite fair for a restaurant of this caliber. If you want one of the more memorable meals of a lifetime, book a table here!

Yelp
I've eaten at Jean-Georges twice - once for Sunday Brunch and once for Lunch (yesterday). I continue to love this place! I was celebrating the 80th Birthday of a good friend of mine and everything was perfect. The rooftop scene was quite lively with a celebrity or two glamming up the place. This is definitely a see and be seen venu. They couldn't stop talking about the Views, the Food and the Service! We had the Pistachio Guacamole & Chips, Avocado Toast and Sushi as appetizers. All 3 were really tasty. We all chose the Wagyu Beef Tenderloin with Crunchy Potatoes - perfectly cooked and presented. For Dessert we shared the Chocolate Cake and the Warm Cookies. The Chocolate Cake was moist and delicious. The Warm Cookies consisted of a Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookie, Meyer Lemon Almond Cookie and a Tahini Sesame Cookie. The standout among them is the Meyer Lemon Almond Cookie - it tasted like Lemon Meringue Pie. Our server Jaye was very knowledgable about the menu ingredients and recommended a few things for our meal. Jaye was friendly, professional and we felt well taken-care of throughout the entire meal. I would definitely want Jaye to be our waiter the next time we dine at Jean-Georges. Bravo Jaye!

Susan L.

Yelp
Service was amazing, 5 stars. Very attentive, friendly, without being overbearing. Food on the other hand was 2 stars. Not nearly worth the price. Extremely disappointing. Some dishes had no flavor. Other dishes had vinegar or herb flavors overpowering the main ingredients of the dish. Quality felt low, wagyu was the worst I've ever had. Snapper skin wasn't crispy. Pretzel rolls were rock hard. Meringue was chewy. Everything was off. We went to the NY location many years ago and this was nowhere near the same caliber. It's too bad, I really wanted to like this place, but there's much better restaurants to spend this kind of money in the area.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
What a great evening out with my husband for our Valentine's Day at this amazing restaurant! I can't say enough positive comments about the food and service we had. I started with a cosmo which was delicious. The calamari was so light and the toasted egg yolk was outstanding. Their wagyu was extremely tender and flavorful! The tenderloin cooked medium and strip loin cooked medium rare. Nick went above and beyond to make our evening extra special. He was very attentive and on point! Even the bartender Armando in the lobby area was super friendly! We will absolutely be back to enjoy another meal here.

Robert M.

Yelp
The two of us dipped out of an event at the banquet room, and failing to find a spot on the rooftop, had dinner here. Spoiler alert - the dinner was great. Incredible. The interior here is relaxing and intimate, with gorgeous lighting. Tables have plenty of room. I had the salmon, which was cooked perfectly. Attractively presented and certainly delicious. My date had the wagyu beef steak, which is always an excellent choice. Although she likes steaks well done, she accepted my argument to try it medium. And she loved it. We shared a bottle of wine and a side of asparagus. The wine was excellent, and the asparagus might have been the best I've ever had. Cooked through, but still crispy with bite and great flavor. I can only highly recommend you stop here. The bar here is also less crowded than the other bar options in the entire hotel. Valet parking only. Service was top notch everywhere in this building and property.

Janet G.

Yelp
Overall quite disappointing. For the prices I expected exceptional meals. The striped sea bass was actually delicious but on the very petite side. Baked potatoes were hard as rocks and no flavor. It was as if they were not cooked, just heated on the outside. Cheddar cheese not even melted. Won't go into everything on the table but there were no flavors in any of our side dishes. A $23 glass of wine filled only 1/4 of the way. Only positive thing I can say is that all the staff were attentive and friendly. Valet parking was shocking at a fee of $26! Could have gone to a nice restaurant and had a better meal for that price! Paying solely for the ambiance of the Waldorf Astoria. SADLY DISAPPOINTING!

Louis C.

Yelp
We were in the neighborhood and decided to check out the new Waldorf-Astoria and grab lunch at Jean-George BH. The hotel has a boutique feel and Jean-George's ambience feels like a typical dining room in a high-end hotel. It sort of lacked the pizazz of JG of Tokyo or NYC. The service was just as impeccable as any other JG locations. Our waiter took the time to make sure the poached egg in one of dishes was cooked for exactly 3 minutes per our request. The food was good but not quite as impressive as I'd expect from a JG restaurant. The complementary scones were petite but good and served with regular or lemon butter. The kale and broccoli salad with a poached egg was refreshing but a little light on flavors. The calamari was lightly battered, quickly fried and served with a frothy citrus chili dip - nicely done. The salmon with corn "pudding" was well cooked with a crispy crust but kept medium rare on the inside. The veal Milanese was a bit of letdown. A typical Milanese would be lighted fried with a fine bread crumb coating. This one had a thick and puffy batter like that of a bad tempura. The lemon meringue tart was average and the Meyer lemon sorbet seemed a bit redundant rather than complementary. As the birthplace of the molten chocolate cake, JG naturally served an excellent rendition of the dessert.

Lillia W.

Yelp
Michelin star prices for below average food and service. We were excited to try this place, but were sorely disappointed. We did the wine pairing, and while the wine was good, the food was just ok. And when it came to service, they messed up so many times it was almost laughable, if not for how much we were spending. They were nice in the end and comped a couple things, but it should have never been that bad in the first place.

Eric A.

Yelp
Beautiful setting. Impeccable service. Menu with plenty of creative choices. Relaxed and del

Jeffrey L.

Yelp
I took my family out to Jean George's for Mother's Day. I've been to the New York locations close to 20 years ago. It was the standard breakfast and not the special Mother's Day brunch. Valet parking was easy. Walking into the Waldorf-Astoria is a great experience with a newer lobby and the entrance to the restaurant was delightful. The decor inside was light and airy and felt very modern. Service was impeccable since we were seated so fast and drinks were provided quickly. We ordered a lox bagel, pancakes, and a frittata. Everything was well executed and the coffee was strong. No major complaints and plan to come back here to try their tasting menu.

Flora H.

Yelp
I rate the tasting menu with wine pairing at Jean-Georges as one of the top five meals of my life, and that's saying a lot. My friend had been recommended Jean-Georges by a huge restaurant connoisseur who made that same proclamation, so we had it on our list of things to do for a while. When the DineLA deal popped up, we immediately made reservations at Jean-Georges. This was not like other DineLA menus where it's just a subset of the regular menu that's actually just a small discount, this was the full tasting menu with wine pairing that's normally offered, at a heavily discounted price ($99 instead of $145 for the tasting menu, $70 instead of $110 for the wine pairing). TASTING: Sea Urchin & Caviar (Crispy Potatoes, Yuzu and Creme Fraiche) Hamachi and Little Gem Salad (Avocado Sprouts and Soy Chili Dressing) Pumpkin Ravioli (Pamesan and Amaretti) Icelandic Cod (Nut and Seed Crust, Sweet and Sour Jus) Waygu Beef Skirt Steak (Silky, Glazed and Roasted Carrots, Miso-Mustard Sauce) Pear Bourdaloue (Toasted Almond Sorbet) The meal started with caviar, setting the stage for the rest of the evening - all the stops were being pulled out for this tasting. The soy chili on the hamachi was to die for. But the pumpkin ravioli was the real stand out for me - it was hands down the best ravioli that I've ever had, and even though it was just a small portion, it was so flavorful and rich that it was completely satisfying. That one thing made the meal for me. By the time the cod and steak came out I was already getting a bit full, which is perhaps why those are also the menu items that are the least memorable to me, but believe me, everything was good. WINE PAIRING: Laurent-Perrier Brut Rose Champagne 2016 Kistler Vineyards "Vine Hill Ranch" Chardonnay 2015 Dr Loosen Urziger Wurzgarten 2017 Domaine Ott Chateau de Selle Rose 2014 Ashes & Diamonds "Grand Vin No 1" Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 Elio Perrone "Bigaro" Moscato & Brachetto Blend We hesitated on the wine pairing for a second, as at some restaurants a pairing is just a "taste" but that was not the case here. Each pour was almost a full glass of wine, making this a ridiculous deal. We loved the sommelier, who was not at all pretentious, but very soft-spoken, humble and kind. He genuinely wanted us to enjoy each of the wines, which he was clearly very proud of having selected. He, and the wines, were what really made this experience stand out, and I'm so glad that we decided to go for it. This was a full experience meal that took us close to three hours, but despite the fact that we were the last ones there past 11 on a Sunday night, I didn't feel rushed at all. We were so immersed in our experience that I didn't even notice that everyone else had left. Because I really couldn't eat another bite by the time the dessert came out, they packed me a to go box which is the fanciest to go box I've ever seen (which I kept and have on display), and even threw some Waldorf Astoria chocolates in the box. They really take care of you here and make the meal special for you, and that, along with the beautiful and dramatic decor, are what make the experience. The delicious food and wine is just the icing on the cake.

Jonathan O.

Yelp
I came here with my son and girlfriend for Valentine's Day. Even though outdoor dining was our only option di to Covid restrictions, they did a wonderful job setting up a tented outdoor area that felt elegant, warm and beautiful. The menu was pricey fixed for the holiday and was superb. The meal was a beautiful symphony of flavor and texture, building to a crescendo then finishing with the just right notes. $1400 for the three of us so it was a bit pricey but we did have cocktails and additional truffle shaving along with caviar. Worth the money and a wonderful experience. We'll be back.

Ricky R.

Yelp
Took my fiancé for dinner and it was really good. The corn dumplings were amazing and their caviar on top of the cured eggs might be the best thing I've eaten in a while. A little pricy but that's expected (it's at one of the nicest hotels in LA). They recently changed their cocktails and they were also reallllly good.

Yodsiri T.

Yelp
Worst experience dealing with the resultant and the hotel. I got triple charged for my reservation on New Year's Eve. I emailed the restaurant several times but no response. Emailed the hotel accounting department, still no response. Called the hotel, got redirected to accounting department but no one picked up. Left a message. No call back. Do not dine here or you will get scammed.

Charles G.

Yelp
The star is for the service, which was excellent throughout the hotel. Went for a luncheon today. Hands down the worst food I've ever eaten at one of these corporate functions at a high end hotel...ever. Started with an extremely unappetizing looking kale/broccoli/jalapeño salad. Texture was mushy, flavor non existent and appearance dreadful. Whoever created this dish needs to go back to cooking school or retire. This was accompanied by an extremely average charcuterie plate that was barely a notch above what you might assemble from Trader Joe's. Followed by a steak/fish combo platter. Filet was edible, mashed potatoes standard. Vegetables were bland and ugly. But the kicker was the fish, which smelled so awful I couldn't even try it and asked the waiter to remove it. Truly one of the nastiest smelling fish dishes I could imagine. Dinner was a hot chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Hard to mess that one up, but it was overcooked and barely tasted like chocolate. I only finished it because I was still hungry. I'm not sure if JG has anything to do with these types of meals, but if he does he needs to take along hard look in the mirror. A mighty fall from JoJos. The kicker is the outdoor area sounds like your sitting on a freeway with all the traffic from Santa Monica boulevard. Do yourself a favor and book across the street at the peninsula if you want a nice experience. Or anywhere else for that matter!

Allyson E.

Yelp
Paid nearly $600 to get severe food poisoning from this restaurant on 1/4/23. While I would normally not write a review for this, I am disgusted that this expensive of a restaurant would so much as return my calls or emails regarding my illness. I expect more from a restaurant of this price and hope no one else gets sick.

Jeffrey B.

Yelp
Went for breakfast as a paying visitor whilst on a short trip to LA. The restaurant has a great design with very high ceilings, light - some very tall drapes (would not like to be responsible for cleaning) and a combination of booths and table seating. Making a reservation was very easy the day before in person. On the day a request for a booth was met very quickly as the wait staff cleared a booth in a couple of minutes. Food was of a good standard, and in particular the coffee and avocado toast were standouts. A minor issue with the food coming out ahead of the coffee was handled with aplomb by the manager and team. Great people watching, nice food and excellent service. Hope to breakfast there again on a future trip.

Yelp
If you are a fan of fine dining and tasting menus, this is your place. Excellent service. Knowledgeable staff. Incredible food and drink. I enjoyed every bit of this experience. We had the 8 course tasting menu and had each of the two wine pairings. The only complaint was the bread. Don't waste rooming your belly on the mediocre bread. But every other dish was incredible. Great flavors. correct portion sizes for 8 courses (I got full at dessert). Jean-Georges invented the chocolate lava cake so I was happy it was on the menu last night. Dinner is VERY expensive. I think we managed to spend $1100. You can get away with something closer to $500. $180 for each dinner and one drink $25-50. The tip is included, but the service deserves an additional tip. Highly recommend especially for a special event.

Yelp
It was my birthday last night and my boyfriend took me here for dinner. The ambiance is nice and the food is 7 out of 10. My drink was pretty watered down and full of ice and the birthday dessert was not tasty. Our server was good at the beginning but as soon as this older gentleman with his young gf walked in and ordered a bottle of champagne our server's attention fully diverted to them exclusively. I was pretty annoyed as it was a special night for me and I wanted to order more drinks before the main course but he was literally at that table most of the time. I believe he thought he is gonna get more tips from that table but he was wrong! I was just disappointed by the service at that point. Overall it's a good restaurant to go to once but that's about it.

Yelp
The space itself is so elegant and beautiful without being at all stuffy. As with all other aspects of the hotel, the restaurant's staff really shine with their amazing service and attention to detail. The La Columbe coffee was so delicious, eggs fluffy, and OJ perfectly squeezed - what more could you ask for!

Yelp
Love this restaurant. So upscale and so chic, love the outdoor patio and service was beyond amazing!! We stumbled upon this gem after trying the upstairs rooftop which was full (also AMAZING) and settled in on the outdoor patio for girl talk and drinks! Our server was such a sweetheart, I wish I could have remembered her name. She was SO attentive and I loved how they deliver nuts and popcorn for your drink. It was my friends graduation as well and it was so nice to have champagne and their chocolate dessert brought out as a gesture! David, was such a true manager- keeping in touch with everyone and making our experience such a pleasant one. I will also be back to not only stay, dine but come celebrate some sales as well in the future. Also, just to note* I loved how my coffee was never ending. That was such a huge thing for me because I like my coffee, very much actually!

Yelp
Ordered the 8 course prix fixe. Waited for 50 minutes to be served with stale bread and pickles, until we couldn't take it anymore. Hungry and upset, we ordered our bill and left. Waitress was hiding, There was no attempt to compensate or fix the situation. Stay away! The service is that bad. This business cannot provide what it promises. Pathetic.

Yelp
Oh, this place was amazing! This is a late review but I felt the need to post as I scrolled to photos and remembered my amazing experience here. My partner and I went for dine LA. It was a 3 course meal and it definitely was very filling. The food was great, but most importantly, the dessert was amazing. They accidentally gave us the wrong dessert but the waiter was so nice, he ended up giving us both the incorrect order and our correct order. That meant we had 2 desserts each! The pear dessert was just amazing. I'm not normally a fan of fruity desserts but this one was definitely a favorite. I also noticed they had a cute small private room for events. Definitely thought about hosting a bachelorette party or baby shower there. I would love love LOVE to go back to this restaurant. The parking was a bit on the expensive side as it was valet. The cherry on top is that we actually saw Kamala Harris here prior to her running for president and she sat at the table next to us too!

Yelp
What an absolute ripoff. To be fair; the decor, ambience and service were all commensurate with a fine dining experience but the food itself and price were genuinely offensive. $800 for two tasting menus and a wine pairing. The food was bland and completely unremarkable and the wine was cheap and nondescript. They are using name brands and locations to rip people off and I don't say that lightly. This restaurant is embarrassing itself and needs to do better.

Yelp
Service was good. 8 course meal was ok. It was tasteful though not worth the price. I also got the wine pairing. Not bad but also not worth the price. The meat was well cooked and perfectly medium rare and tender. The dessert was a great combo and the sea bass was juicy.

Yelp
Jean George at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills was classy, modern, and very nice. The staff was very accommodating from the valet, hostess, waiter and servers at the Jean George restaurant on the main lobby restaurant and rooftop restaurant. The food, ambiance and service were all excellent. Ordered the butternut squash soup with creme fraiche and Calamari for appetizers. And the Icelandic Salmon with sishito peppers and side of puree mashed potatoes. We later went to the rooftop for fresh bowl of raspberries, black berries and blue berries with fresh cream for dessert and refreshing ginger and lime drinks sitting outdoors with gorgeous views of Beverly Hills, Hollywood Hills and Century City. It was a cool sunny January day in 90210 and I love it! Will come again and definitely a recommend worth experience.

Yelp
We first tried Jean-Georges in 2019 for a special birthday celebration (just before Covid). The food (8 course and wine pairing) and service were fantastic and was a wonderful experience. Since we couldn't go in 2020, we decided to return this last November for a special occasion. The restaurant and hotel are always beautiful with such attention to detail. This experience wasn't as good as the first. The service was impeccable again, but the food (8 course tasting menu and wine pairing) was just average this time. Some of the dishes were quite good and flavorful, but a few were just ok. The presentation on all the courses was impressive as always, but not sure why the flavors just weren't there this time around. Given the price tag, we will probably try somewhere else for our next tasting menu dinner.

Yelp
Much like anything else, if it's not great the first time it will likely not blow your doors off the second time. My first JG experience was in New York where the service eclipsed the food. I was young and it was one of my first fine dining experiences but in hindsight, the food was just as forgettable as the LA location. Honestly, I was looking for an excuse to dress up and take the BF out. Anyways... We were ambitious and opted for the 8 course and fell for the bread trap. I love carbs and really enjoy soft, freshly baked bread with softened butter (doesn't have to be jazzy). Perhaps I'm biased because I always fondly reminisce and compare all other bread to the mushroom bread at La Vie (too good! and set the bar incredibly high) and wasn't feelin' any of the 3 we were given. It was nice to kick off the meal with an amuse bouche of crispy cracker but it was bland although I appreciated the crunch. TBH, I only remember the white asparagus and the fish (super soft, moist and flakey - very well prepared) however, the fish could've benefited from a slightly crispier sear. The rest of the meal was a blur and I tapped out after the fish course and even forgot to take a picture of the duck. Speaking of the duck - generous portion but it didn't need the side of quinoa. What unpleasantly took me by surprise was my first bite of the mustard seeds - I choked and fought hard to suppress my cough (it's Covid, ya know) as my eyes watered from the extremely vinegary seeds that hit the back of my throat. Took a while to recover and decided to skip dessert course after. Overall, it was a beautiful restaurant inside the Waldorf Astoria serviced by an attentive staff but the meal itself isn't worth $500 (without alcohol/wine). Lastly, they validate parking but it's still $20.

Yelp
Three types of group of people would love to come here: * Place to impress others in the company of others. Get them to wow on the atmosphere and vibes of the place, while making you the center of the attention since you're the one who suggested coming here. (ie it's easier to get people to laugh at your off color jokes). * Special Occasions kinda crowd. The one that put thoughts into planning these things. * Not surprisingly.... the ones that can afford it. Probably to show off. For me, I was always the gourmand type of crowd that wants to experience what the best has to offer. I was not disappointed in coming here. The service was top notch throughout with attentive, but yet knows when to come in and when not to disturb. The vibe is obviously super posh and elegant. You can even lounge in the hotel lobby of Waldorf Astoria (which you have to know because most people went to the hotel next door instead). The restaurant can validate your valet parking up to a certain time (made the mistake of parking at the hotel next door...yes that's why I mentioned above on which hotel to find this restaurant). The food served here is classical French cuisine with local California ingredients. So you obviously going to get some poultry and sea food in the menu. I went with the tasting menu to get an idea on what they were serving for that night. My favorite was the roasted Sea Bass and the Grilled Pork Chop. Oh, the desserts here are excellent as well. The most underrated about coming here is to get their crafted cocktails. Even if you don't want to dine, the bar scene here is very chic and I can tell many "date night couples" just lounge there for the drinks. Right now I don't fit one of the three criteria above for coming here (usually the first two only comes once in a blue moon). However if I can manage myself into that third group, I'm here every day. That's how highly recommended this place would be. Then again I would turned into that awful number one group kinda guy. eeeks...

Yelp
Whenever we visit New York, our first stop is always at Jean Georges for lunch, probably the best deal in town. So we were interested to check out this new Beverly Hills location. The restaurants turned out to be fairly different, even though they look a bit similar. Unlike in New York, the Beverly Hills restaurant isn't divided into casual and formal areas. Instead, the entire space is used for hotel dining at breakfast and lunch, and then becomes a bit more elegant at dinner with the simple addition of white tablecloths. The dinner menu also offers dining suitable for a hotel restaurant, with pizzas and french fries. But for those looking for the full Jean George experience, there is thankfully also a multi-course tasting menu. At a very reasonable $145, this is an even better deal than the New York offering. There is a notable difference between this tasting menu and the New York version, with more California influence, and less in the way of sauces, allowing the fresh seasonal ingredients to show through. That's not to say the dishes have simple flavors; the Ahi tuna tartare was the best I've ever tasted, with layers of flavor that evolved on your palate with each bite. Heirloom beets were also wonderful, with surprisingly potent celery and cilantro flavors. We selected the wine pairing to accompany the tasting menu. At $115, it was also a great value, and one of the best groups of pairing wines I've had. A couple of the wines I'd normally shun, such as Gruner Veltliner and Riesling were real standouts, and perfectly matched their courses. Service was flawless, down to the last detail. When our waiter heard my wife admiring the french fries that went to another table he added them to our meat course in the tasting menu at no charge (and they were really good!) My only quibble relates to a couple of cutlery issues--that's an indication of how perfect the meal was. Black cod was served in a bowl with crispy greens that couldn't possibly have been cut with the dull fish knife. And the baked apple dessert was served with only a fork, making cutting the apple and scooping the melting honey ice cream a bit of a challenge. Life is hard. Sommelier Michael Scribner did a wonderful job with the wine pairings, and had interesting comments about each selection. The wine list is also excellent, with some reasonably priced offerings and some pricey gems. In short, Jean George Beverly Hills will become as regular a stop for us as the New York version, even while the restaurants are each doing their own thing.

Yelp
Completely Rip-off, I've been to many fine dining restaurants and I this you get low quality ingredients (below average)for experience price. Super low value. I'm very very disappointed. I strongly recommend going somewhere else. . $250/person I'm 100% sure you can get better high quality food. $1000+ for set course in total. We order some cocktails and wines. I like the drinks, but the food was just unbelievable.

Yelp
Nice fancy place, but also kids in attendance in various tables as well, especially during the earlier dinner hours. They definitely also cater to kids as they are equipped with crayons, coloring pages and very fancy high chairs. Food was ok, not something to crave for, but service was great and fun to try a spread of their menu. On the pricier end. Spent over $500 for 2 adults since we decided to try many dishes. Valet only. They have a nice rooftop bar.

Yelp
This place is shit. The food is awful and their setting is only beautiful bc the city of LA/Beverly hills is beautiful and you're on the rooftop. Other than that, when you look around, they're so cheap and want to make more covers ($$) that they stuffed banquet tables and banquet chairs into the space so their furniture doesn't even match. The only redeeming thing about the entire experience was the server. Sadly I can't remember her name but we were the Cassar birthday party on 4/9 and she was spectacular. I've been there a handful of times and she's always been amazing but the food is such shit and same with the space itself. Suffice it to say I won't ever go back again - they should be ashamed of themselves for putting up crappy and cheap looking banquet furniture in the rooftop of a Jean Georges restaurant. What a sham.
