"Jeepney’s arrival always felt like a good thing, because more Filipino options in Miami are always a good thing—and also because our New York coworkers told us that this place is great. Turns out, everyone was right. And in a bittersweet twist, Miami is now the only place you can find Jeepney since their NYC location has closed. That's all the more reason to support this 1-800-Lucky vendor and their delicious sisig." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"This is 1-800-Lucky's first (and only) Filipino concept, which also used to have a location in New York. But Miami is now the only place where you can find Jeepney, which has a menu that features signatures like sizzling sisig, juicy chicken or pork barbecue skewers, pancit guisado, and more. They also serve Filipino desserts and baked goods like halo-halo, and ube brownies. Keep an eye out for the occasional special here, like the almighty chori burger—a beef/longganisa sausage patty topped with a fried egg and sandwiched in a sesame bun" - cheryl tiu, ryan pfeffer
"Sisig This week I checked out Jeepney, a Filipino restaurant from New York that just opened a stall in Wynwood’s 1-800-Lucky. I had a bunch of things (which were all good), but there was one specific dish I knew I wanted to order: the sisig. It is hard to find sisig in Miami. But it’s easier now that Jeepney’s in town, serving a great version of this beautiful combination of crispy pork, onions, garlic, peppers - all topped with a freshly-cracked egg you get to mix in yourself. Before I even finished it, I knew Jeepney was headed to the Hit List." - ryan pfeffer, carlos c olaechea
"Jeepney, originally a New York Filipino restaurant, now has a stall in Wynwood’s 1-800-Lucky. This is good news, because their food is great. It includes dishes like the Lechon Express, a plate of twice-cooked pork belly with a crispy skin that melts in your mouth. They serve an excellent sisig, a hot skillet of various pig parts topped with an egg you get to mix in yourself. And they sometimes have a great burger on special, which comes with a patty made from ground beef and cured pork sausage, a sweet challah bun, and an egg." - Ryan Pfeffer

"I learned that acclaimed Filipino chef Nicole Ponseca is set to open a second location of Jeepney next month in Miami." - Luke Fortney
