The 21 Best Restaurants In Neukölln - Berlin - The Infatuation

"At Jemenitisches, families huddled around slow-cooked lamb, tearing bread and talking about their days, share tables with weary party-goers attempting to heal their souls with madghout chicken. This casual Yemeni restaurant serves fall-off-the-bone lamb, the flakiest malawah bread, and the zingiest tabouleh. Don’t expect table service, because you won’t get fed. Instead, scan the QR code and wait patiently for steaming piles of rice and meat to be thrown down in front of you. Visit Jemenitisches on a Sunday, over-order, and leave with a doggy bag." - Olivia Ladanyi

The 38 Best Berlin Restaurants | Eater

"In a part of the city loaded with Turkish and Syrian food, give some love to one of Berlin’s very few Yemeni restaurants (which expanded to a second location in Moabit, on the north side of town). The cuisine here mixes influences from the Arabian Peninsula, India, and the Horn of Africa into a uniquely hearty selection of dishes. Try a cheese- or meat-stuffed sambosa and the saucy lamb stews, best soaked up with flaky malawah. Or go for the zurbian, a biryani-like dish with slow-cooked meat and creamy yogurt." - Tim Forster

Food was delicious and the service super nice. It is also super fast and efficient as you pay directly when you order. The lamb we ordered was juicy and super tasty, the rice was perfectly cooked and aromatic, the bread and the spreads freshly made. I wish I could eat more to try more things at once. Highly recommend!

The food was excellent and the price is super fair for the portion. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will come back for sure. We had a mix starter plate with hummus, baba ganoush, Moutabel and fatoush + bread for the start. The bread is fantastic the dips and salad were good, however nothing you have to go out of your way for. The mains were absolutely delicious tho. Especially the Fahsa with lots of super tender beef, a very flavorful sauce and again the super delicious bread. The Fish Sanouna was also really good. For dessert we had the massoub which was also very good, I've never eaten something similar before. The portion is insanely huge and it feels incredibly unhealthy with lots of cream and super sweet honey (kind of balances out with the bread and unsweetened cream tho). So it's worth a try but I'd definitely recommend sharing with at least one other person. You can order at the cashier or from the website and they bring your food pretty quickly. The restaurant itself is nice enough, especially the back looks quite comfortable with the floor seats. Service was friendly.

Tried this Yemeni restaurant two years ago and loved it; came back again and it’s still just as amazing! The food is full of flavor, the tea is great, and the service is perfect. A real gem!

Really great food and one of the heaviest meal of my life!!! The quantity is huge and great to share! The service is quick and friendly!! Great for vegetarian options too(quite surprised) I would definitely recommend to have a meal here! P.S. I'd suggest skipping lunch if planning to dine here 😅

I recently visited this Yemeni restaurant in Berlin, and while the food was excellent, the overall experience was a mix of highs and lows. Positives: The dishes I was able to try were flavorful and authentic. You can tell the quality and effort that goes into the cooking. It’s truly some of the best Yemeni food I’ve had in Berlin. Negatives: Unfortunately, many menu items were sold out, which was disappointing. On top of that, the service left a lot to be desired. The ordering process was confusing, and the staff seemed disorganized, which made the experience less enjoyable. Conclusion: Great food but poor service and availability. I hope they can improve the ordering system and stock more dishes because the food itself is worth it!

Food was really delicious and it came very fast we order something called henez “حينيذ" and it was really well cooked and the meat tasted great. Also the rice was amazing. We also ordered white beans which was okay. Make sure to order their bread as it is very very good.

Yelp
Authentic Yemeni Food in Berlin! Everything here was good. Lamb Mandi, Haneeth, Fahsa, Sambousak, and the Ma'soub dessert were all perfect. Prices for the lamb dishes especially might be a little too high, but the quality absolutely makes up for it. One the minus side, the restaurant seems to have gotten too popular and the staff is a bit overwhelmed which affects service. Might be a good idea to increase staff. Nevertheless, a total recommendation.
