The 38 Best Berlin Restaurants | Eater

"In a part of the city loaded with Turkish and Syrian food, give some love to one of Berlin’s very few Yemeni restaurants (which expanded to a second location in Moabit, on the north side of town). The cuisine here mixes influences from the Arabian Peninsula, India, and the Horn of Africa into a uniquely hearty selection of dishes. Try a cheese- or meat-stuffed sambosa and the saucy lamb stews, best soaked up with flaky malawah. Or go for the zurbian, a biryani-like dish with slow-cooked meat and creamy yogurt." - Tim Forster

Tried this Yemeni restaurant two years ago and loved it; came back again and it’s still just as amazing! The food is full of flavor, the tea is great, and the service is perfect. A real gem!

We went there on chand raat and thought it was a bit crowded but the food was really good. Felt very homely. Lovely tea as well

Food was really delicious and it came very fast we order something called henez “حينيذ" and it was really well cooked and the meat tasted great. Also the rice was amazing. We also ordered white beans which was okay. Make sure to order their bread as it is very very good.

This place is like teleporting straight to Yemen, but without the airfare. The spices hit you like a warm hug, and the fresh bread? Basically a carb lover’s dream come true. The portions are massive, the flavors are bold, and you’ll probably leave needing a nap. Worth every bite!

Every time I visit Berlin, this Yemeni restaurant is at the top of my list. The food is consistently flavorful, rich in spices, and cooked to perfection. From the tender meats to the aromatic rice and fresh breads, every dish tastes homemade and full of love. The service is always warm and welcoming. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Whether you're already a fan of Yemeni cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit.

Loved this place. Ordered it tonight. It was the worst food ever. Bread was hard as a rock definitely old. And the ain dish Fahsa, uff nasty. It was defo leftovers warmed up. Makes me think it was lefotovers from different plates smashed into one and sent over. Pure nastiness. Salty af. I had to drink water like a fish to survive 3 bites. and the meat was in 3 different states. Hard as rock/burnt, soft and gooey with smell and just straight up raw and cold. all 3 in one dish. NEVER AGAIN. I dont think its possible for us to eat at this place anymore, even if we want to the look of fahsa will make me puke. My friend is puking her guts out as a i type this. Just pure horror. Thanks Jementische for sending us your leftover garrbage. we just ordered on wolt. Go see your kitchen. Eid Mubarik Dickheads

I recently visited this Yemeni restaurant in Berlin, and while the food was excellent, the overall experience was a mix of highs and lows. Positives: The dishes I was able to try were flavorful and authentic. You can tell the quality and effort that goes into the cooking. It’s truly some of the best Yemeni food I’ve had in Berlin. Negatives: Unfortunately, many menu items were sold out, which was disappointing. On top of that, the service left a lot to be desired. The ordering process was confusing, and the staff seemed disorganized, which made the experience less enjoyable. Conclusion: Great food but poor service and availability. I hope they can improve the ordering system and stock more dishes because the food itself is worth it!

We ordered two types of chicken, but they brought us two of the same dish. We shared a Mutabal beforehand, which was different from the one in the photo. However, all the dishes were good in terms of flavor and quantity. We forgot to take photos because we were busy unwrapping the chicken. The service was very friendly and fast. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed inside.

Yelp
Authentic Yemeni Food in Berlin! Everything here was good. Lamb Mandi, Haneeth, Fahsa, Sambousak, and the Ma'soub dessert were all perfect. Prices for the lamb dishes especially might be a little too high, but the quality absolutely makes up for it. One the minus side, the restaurant seems to have gotten too popular and the staff is a bit overwhelmed which affects service. Might be a good idea to increase staff. Nevertheless, a total recommendation.
