Despite selecting dry and wet ribeye and the wagu ribeye, the meat was strangely tasteless. The room has a gas smell. Sides were all decent but nothing stood out as great. Crab was strange and interesting but not that tasty. Rice was okay. A decent meal but nothing that special. Service was good although they never cleared any plates. The guy doing the cooking was excellent. For all the hype, was a minor disappointment. Just one add on these places with grills in the middle you suck up a lot of noxious gases - feel sick the next day. There were no vents over the tables and I wonder if the place is properly vented….

One of my favorite Korean BBQ spots. The meat quality is amazing, everything is fresh, and grilling at the table makes it so fun. Cozy but lively vibe, great side dishes, and always a satisfying experience. Perfect place for a good meal and a great night out

I came to this restaurant on a Sunday night it was pretty empty and the staff was very friendly and attentive however I would not go to the place again simply because the food is severely overpriced. Now I understand that “quality meat “ can cost more (which I would be happy to pay ) but that’s not what was provided . The meat didn't taste bad just average. Which was a severe let down for the price . I ordered the beef platter for two people and the serving size is very small . Decently not worth the $160. Also the charge $14 for a small side of rice which is ridiculous. You can get much better options in the area .

service and food were both great! we got the beef package for 2, the short rib and the marinated short rib were standouts. they have a really interesting, wasabi mushroom? sauce that didn’t taste like wasabi but it was very good with the beef. the 계란찜 was fluffy and had really good flavor (the cheese and scallions complimented the egg really well), the kimchijjigae had great flavor (strong kimchi, a little spicy kick) and the complimentary ice cream for dessert was really good (salted caramel/fudge vanilla) our server Ryan was very attentive and friendly, was super nice when my friend dropped her chopsticks, and made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our meal.

Great vibes and tasty food. A lot of good side dishes and you have to try their ice cream. The staff was attentive and helped us grill and cut the meats. Price is a bit in the expensive side but that’s expected in the neighborhood. Will be hard to find parking around here.

Hit up Jeong Yuk Jeom in NYC and it didn’t miss. We went for the beef platter for 2 meat was super fresh, crazy marbling, and grilled up perfectly at the table. Portions were big, ribeye was melt-in-your-mouth good, and all the sides + sauces slapped. A bit on the pricey side, but honestly worth every bite. Solid spot if you’re in the mood for some legit Korean BBQ in the city.

Our server, Jihye, was outstanding. She made our dinner experience truly exceptional with her attentive and friendly service. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, offering great recommendations, and she ensured that everything was perfect throughout the evening. Jihye’s warm personality and attention to detail really elevated our meal, making it a memorable dining experience. Plus, the food was absolutely delicious.

This place is incredible! Ellen was our server—super friendly and gave exceptional service, especially for a BBQ spot. We got the 2-person platter and added the marinated crab—everything was absolutely delicious. We left with happy hearts and full tummies, heehee!

Great experience! The quality of the food is top tier and the service is attentive and welcoming. The Butcher's Pride comes with the Aged Prime Tenderloin, Dry Aged Prime Ribeye and Marinated Prime Short Rib. All portions of protein were tasty, but I'd have to say my favorite was the Aged Prime Tenderloin. The Giant Beef Tartare Sushi was also great! It wasn't too salty and the seasoned rice paired well. This was plenty of food. If I were to come here again, I'd most likely order only 2 proteins. The portions here are huge. I highly recommended this establishment.

I'm a big harami fan at Japanese yakiniku, so the second I saw this on the menu, it was an immediate yes. Super flavourful, beautifully marbled, and grilled perfectly by the staff. ~ Sea urchin perilla oil buckwheat noodle $28 ~ [Rating: 5/5 ] Such a stunning flavour combo! The uni adds creamy umami richness, while the perilla oil gives a fragrant aroma that ties everything together. A KBBQ essential The banchan selection is small, but the potato stew was extra soft and surprisingly flavourful. - - - - - - - - - ~ Beef platter for 2 ($170) ~ [Rating: 3.75/5 ] For my second visit I went for the set instead, it includes: - boneless short rib, pretty nice - American wagyu hanger steak, it's dry and hard to chew, not sure if it's because of the meat quality or how it was grilled? - American wagyu flatiron, I normally enjoy a flatiron steak but this is also on the tougher side - marinated short rib, really flavourful it's my favourite cut!! I am slightly underwhelmed of the beef platter, I'd definitely choose a la carte again next time!

Overall, very mid and poor service/experience. At about $500 total for 5 people, this place is not worth it. Did not try the dry aged meat, but the other beef options were honestly nothing special -- like some other reviews have mentioned, most tasted similar to other establishments in the area (Jongro AYCE, Nubiani, miss korea), but at a higher price point. Biggest problem was service/experience. Only attentive part was cooking the meat, nothing else. No communication of what meats were what when they arrived or when finished cooking. No lettuce offered/provided and when asked, was told they ran out (first time ever hearing of this happening at a KBBQ place, let alone an "upscale" place...could have literally walked downstairs to Hmart and bought lettuce). No rice offered/provided until asked half way into the meal. Drink orders missed/forgotten. Not sure if the service shown to us was less than ideal because we were clearly speaking a non-Korean asian language amongst ourselves (older family members with us did not understand English), or if this is just the JYJ standard -- low. Based on this experience, 2 stars is fair, maybe even generous.

This place is on the pricer side but the meat is high quality and the place is spacious & clean. Make reservations ahead of time. We got the meat for 5 ($350 but it comes with 4 sides) - there was 4 of us and it was just the right amount of food. I enjoyed the steamed egg - very fluffy. I was pretty full by the end.The cook the meat for you - very efficient and it comes with lettuce wraps and banchan as well (e.g. spicy cucumber, etc.). The beef is flavorful - I wasn't a fan of the pork belly and prob would not get that next time. Everything is very clean - I think they recently opened. The food and drinks came out to ~120 per person - so def a splurge.

This might be our new favorite place for korean bbq .. I do like Nubiani and I went to Ahgassi just a few days ago but you get so lil food at A. Here I couldn't even finish my meat, I was so stuffed. The steamed egg was very tasty but a lil too dense. They add cheese and green onions. It's also pretty massive. The banchan was great too. Lots of variety. The salad was good but overdressed in my opinion. Loved the corn with cheese. So delicious with the white rice. Their plain rice was so yummy, we both had 2 bowls. Their kimchi pork belly stew was slightly more spicy than other places but still really good. The meats were very fresh.. maybe not as tender as A's if I'm comparing American wagyu but still tasted great. I prefer sides/ban chan to meat so I was so full. The ice cream was good but a lil too sweet. We went for an early dinner/late lunch since we had tickets for a show after. The restaurant only had a few tables at that time so we liked the more quiet atmosphere.. especially compared to Ahgassi where we could barely hear each other.

We had reservations for dinner here but we still had to wait about 35 minutes before we were able to sit down. For a part of 8, we had to sit in 2 different tables (unconnected) due to how busy it was and because they said the table they had originally reserved for us was seated by another large party who was taking a long time because they were drinking and ordered more to drink. We were excited for this new kbbq place in ktown but that's how it started for us. We ordered the premium beef platter for kbbq and then shared the beef tartare, cold buckwheat noodles and the spicy cold noodles. The kbbq meat was good but was small for $300 for the platter itself. Nothing too exceptional. The beef tartare was so fresh and so good especially paired with the sweet mangoes (strangely!) what would have made it even better would be if there were chips to go with it. We didn't really care for the cold noodles in the broth but the spicy cold noodles, which aren't spicy, was good especially with all the sides and the cooked meat! As we wrapped up and paid for our meal, they gave each of us ice cream as well! Kind gesture that we appreciated. It was a vanilla scoop with chocolate, sea salt, and olive oil drizzle. Surprisingly good and a nice way to end the meal.

I would say it's a 3.5/5 stars and I'd come again if I'm looking for an elevated kbbq experience. I'd say it's better than other elevated kbbq places I've tried, but the prices are not justifiable to me especially since I'm not as joyful like when I eat regular kbbq. We got the 3 person mixed platter which was $80/person. Only 2 cuts really stood out for me which were the short ribs (both unmarinated and marinated). This was expected. The pork belly and jowl were not that different than casual kbbq spots. We got 2 egg soufflés for our sides and the egg came with a lot of green onions compared to what I'm used to. I really enjoyed it! Their signature mushroom sauce was really delicious and I found myself only using that to dip. The ice cream at the end was fruity and I wish it was the standard green tea or vanilla instead.

The newest Korean bbq in K-town and it did not disappoint! This is on the more expensive end of Korean bbq places in k-town but the meat was flavorful and tender. They also provided us with an abundance of banchan and unique dipping sauces for the meat. The spicy marinated crabs had just the right amount of spicy and the cocktails we ordered were just as amazing. The winter cocktail is amazing if you love ginger beer! The server was extremely attentive and knowledgeable in the different cuts of meat. It did get quite loud as it got later not sure if this would be a romantic date night spot but it's definitely a great spot for some good food and drinks!

Right at the heart of KTown! This new KBBQ is two levels so plenty of space for large parties. The upstairs despite housing many large groups only have one bathroom. Can't speak for the lower level since my party and I were seated upstairs. Now onto the food... Our group ordered the platter for 6, jap chae, uni cold noodles, shrimp pancake, and the raw soy marinated crabs. The cuts of meat were fresh, high quality and delicious - especially the marinated galbi which they cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth. The soy marinated crabs weren't too salty and definitely came fresh. I love the addition of the mayak egg and raw shrimps to the dish. Everything we ordered was great; the only thing I didn't care for was the shrimp pancake and I also wasn't a fan of their kimchi stew. Service was prompt and great. Despite my large group size, they only limit us to an hour and 15 minutes so that pretty much sucks and made us feel rushed. The hostess mentioned it says that in the text, but I checked and it does not and neither does it say on Resy! Other than that, I find prices here to be a bit more expensive than Nubiani. Would I be back? Yes but it definitely isn't my top choice in KTown.

TLDR: Yummy but not sure if it's worth the price. If you're coming here to splurge or have a great experience, highly recommend. This isn't a place I'd regularly go to simply because of the price. I came here for a birthday group of 10. The restaurant also allows for birthday cakes which is amazing! The service was great, very attentive, welcoming and helpful. Each waiter wore a microphone to help communicate with one another when needed! Our waitress cooked the meat to the perfect medium rare/medium. The inside is sleek and modern. Everyone's table is loaded with delicious banchans (side dishes). All of them were delicious. I like the cucumbers & fishcakes the most. The kimchi was not my favorite but that's personal preference. My only negative was the price. This place is a pretty penny. Yes, it was delicious but was it nearly $100/pp after tax/tip delicious? It was definitely one of the better kbbq places, but I don't think anywhere is worth that much. Maybe I am just poor & don't have a good enough palette to determine meat quality, but it seems almost unreasonably high My friends got entrees such as bibimbap & seafood pancakes. They were in the mid/upper $20s range. We all discussed it was definitely on the higher end.

We randomly went to this Korean bbq place after watching Harry Potter. When you step in, you feel like you stepped into Seoul! The servers are very friendly, and efficient. The restaurant is very clean, and has such a great vibe! The best part--the food!!! It was soooo good. The waitress bbq'ed all the meat at our table, and it was delicious!!! The side dishes were also amazing!

Food was okay, but service was terrible. Requests about cooking preferences weren't handled very professionally, and explanations about dishes felt rushed and unclear. A bit more patience and respect toward customers--especially those speaking more than one language--would go a long way.

Yet another Korean BBQ joint. It's a solid KBBQ place and a good addition to 32nd street. They have 안창살 which I haven't really seen in NYC. This is skirt and probably one of my favorite Korean cuts. Has just right amount of fattiness and texture. Probably one of the deepest flavor of beef compared to other cuts. Apps are okay but I won't honestly waste money or stomach space on them. The tendon had great texture and was quite good. The uni noodles were delicious although you don't get a lot of uni flavor. Doenjang jjigae with short rib was great with so much meat. Interior was modern and they had K pop playing in the background which my kids liked. But great thing is that they don't turn up the music so loud so I can actually have a conversation. Service was friendly and they did a great job grilling the meat for us and making sure our banchan was always filled. Having said that I came here for lunch on a weekend so it wasn't crowded. I'd have to come back for weekday dinner to really judge the service.

Delicious gejang ie. soy sauce marinated raw crab. I liked that the resto had great ventilation. The next table was eating KBBQ but there was zero smoke. Also enjoyed the free olive oil balsamic ice cream they served after the meal, though granted it wasn't the best compliment to raw crab. Service was prompt. They are open throughout the day which is great.

The beef tartare was delicious, but i thought it was an entree. Turned out to be an appetizer. Also no banchan with special dishes like this. Still, really good tartare.

Got the beef platter for 2 and the uni buckwheat noodles. The beef platter for 2 comes with 2 sides separate from the banchan, they were out of the umami sotbap so we got the egg soufflé and the pork belly kimchi stew. The beef was good, my favorite would be the boneless short ribs and marinated short ribs (the first and last meat served). The uni buckwheat noodles, I couldn't really taste the perilla oil but it was almost creamy with the uni, overall it was good. The egg soufflé was sprinkled with cheese and the kimchi stew was more on the spicy side which I didn't enjoy it that much. The ice cream at the end was a salted caramel drizzled with olive oil, not bad but tasted like supermarket branded ice cream. They had nice variety of banchan and had a big bowl of romaine salad and green onion salad. Overall was a really filling meal and the service was great!

My husband and I stopped by on a whim the day before Valentines Day. Btw, highly recommend going out for V Day the day before, cause V Day is always a nightmare for getting a table/reservation. We were planning to go to Jongro, but on our way there I noticed this place for the first time and just decided to try our luck. I learned they had just opened a week before. We got there just before 5 so we were the first table seated and got a lot of individual attention. We started with the summer cocktail for me, I think tequila and triple sec and something else, strong and tart, and the February lime highball for my husband. He loved it, it had a strong lime flavor and he is a sour citrus fiend. Later I got myself the lychee highball (July I think? The highballs are month themed but not limited to the current month). It was also a strong lychee flavor, which I liked though it was a tad sweet for me. We went with the standard beef platter for 2, I think it was $170. We tried most of the banchan (didn't try the kimchi or jalapeños, we just don't like those) and the salad with sesame dressing. Everything we tried was really good, the pickled daikon and cauliflower was pretty spicy, it was a nice surprise. We were asked how we liked our steak cooked and we went with medium well (the staff does the grilling here). The first few types of beef were extremely good, melt in your mouth, and paired excellently with the salt and garlic sesame oil dipping sauce. The last two steak cuts (I wish I remembered which) were tougher and fattier so we didn't enjoy those as much, and we were getting full, but we did our best. The dinner also came with mushrooms, shishito peppers, and pineapple for grilling; we only ate the pineapple cause we're awful picky people . It also comes with two sides, we went with the souffle egg which was magical, and grilling cheese which was tasty but had a real squeaky feel. We would swap the cheese for something else next time. And rice upon request. At the end of the meal we got a complimentary scoop of ice cream, chocolate and salted caramel and vanilla, very tasty though not the creamiest ice cream I've ever had. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It was nice to try a brand new place, everything looked very clean and presentable. I've tried a few kbbq places in Manhattan and this was the best by far (also the priciest). We loved the meal and would absolutely go back.

Hands down one of the best Korean BBQ experiences I've had in NYC. We came here for a special night out and everything--from service to food--was on point. The wagyu sushi melted in my mouth, and every cut on the BBQ platter was top quality. The boneless short rib and marinated short rib were especially flavorful, and the American wagyu hanger and flatiron had that perfect balance of tenderness and smokiness. We also tried the marinated raw crab (ganjang gejang)--super fresh, sweet, and briny in the best way. It's not something I usually go for but I'd come back just for that. Even the drinks surprised me--their whiskey highball was crisp, refreshing, and paired really well with the meal. Prices are on the higher side, but honestly worth it for the quality and experience. Will definitely be back!

The staff is super duper friendly and nice. They want you to have a good time. The food is amazing and it was well worth it. The meat is of course good, but the egg soufflé and the kimchi jjigae were ON POINT. Love this place. Will definitely recommend to everyone. P.S. I went to the one in LA two weeks ago, it was also very good but if I have to choose between the two, I'd choose NY.

Very overpriced for what it is. The ambiance of the place doesn't even feel elevated like Nubiani or cote but the price is same or more expensive. The service was very mediocre, they cook for you that's it. For the price I'd rather go to other Korean bbq.

Jeong is a cross between Nubiani and something like a Jongro where you get good service, but not superb, but the dishes are more of what you're used to but delicious. It's dive version of Nubiani.

Jeong Yuk Jeom is located in a shopping mall in Koreatown. Parking is tight but convenient. The interior is simple and modern, creating a comfortable dining atmosphere. The service was excellent! The waiters were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They cut the steak perfectly and provided a variety of unique side dishes (banchan). The side dishes were very delicious and the portions were generous. The steak was grilled to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with an excellent taste. Jeong Yuk Jeom is a great Korean BBQ restaurant. With good service and a comfortable environment, it is perfect for a date or a gathering with friends.

Jeong Yuk Jeom is sleek, stylish, and very much scene-y--in the best way possible for a modern Korean BBQ experience. The service was attentive and warm, and the meats? Top-tier. You're definitely paying for quality, and they know it--everything from the marbling to the presentation is meticulous. That said, a few caveats: the bibimbap, while tasty, is surprisingly small (think side dish, not entrée), and vegetarians will feel a bit left behind--options are minimal at best. This is a meat-lover's destination, full stop. Still, for a polished night out with a group, it's a strong pick. Bonus: great for celebrations without feeling too corporate.

I came on opening day and overall had a great experience! Pros -Very good service -Easy to snag a res (hopefully this doesn't change!) -Excellent meat quality -Seafood pancake was not overly carby, which I liked -High-quality banchan -Complimentary free dessert (mango sorbet) for opening day! Cons -Pretty pricey, but not unreasonable for the area and how upscale it felt -Got pretty loud even though it wasn't at full capacity I'll be back!

Place is such a vibe great service, very clean and were able to accommodate my girlfriend's gluten allergy on most things which is great. I would definitely come back new favorite Korean bbq spot in K town now! Also the meats were amazing!

Excellent food and service. Even though it is a higher end bbq restaurant the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. I usually prefer to grill my own meat but here they do it for you and they do this with great skill. They even asked us how well wanted our meat cooked. Very good banchan, but the star of the show is the beautifully marbled, butter-soft meat. I will definitely return.

Outstanding food and service. I went a few weeks ago and sadly forgot our server's name but she was very sweet and helpful. Definitely recommend visiting and if possible, making a reservation although it wasn't necessary when we visited (I think you might get a nicer table but even the first floor is nice). The eggs are incredible, all meat was perfectly cooked, sauces and salt were perfect combo, potato salad was very good. Great ambiance and drinks as well.

The wet aged beef was delicious. The seafood pancake was huge and stuffed with seafood. All the side dishes were really good. We will definitely return.

If you're looking for a high end KBBQ experience look no further. Jeong Yuk Jeom provided excellent quality service for our party of 3 and handled everything with profession. All of our servers, Baek, Jihye, Alan & Moses, were extremely respectful and helpful in anything we needed. The uni buckwheat noodle is the perfect combo with any of the grilled meats. Every piece of meat in this place has marbelization that looks drawn on, its that good. All in all great establishment. Highly recommend.

Finally got to visit this new KBBQ in Ktown!! The meat quality was superb, super juicy and tender! The waitress that served us was so lovely and patient - she helped cooked all our meat as well as showed us how to properly enjoy the beef tartare and raw crab. The raw crab is a must get and one of the best raw crab marinades I've had in NYC!!

I recommend this place. It's more on the modern side vs traditional. As the name of the restaurant means meat, they focus on the quality of the meat and their short rib is the best. Our server, Sean is great too. Attentive and friendly.

True rating: 4.25 Pros: - The meat quality was great. If you don't like the funk of dry age, it's not for you. - The banchans were very good. We were offered refills. - Presentation was great. - The place is clean and well-staffed. Mediums: - It's pricey. Paying high level steakhouse prices. Got the 3 person set, two beers, two diet cokes, and total was $420 after gratuity. - It gets a bit loud in there. - The cooked meat is set aside on a rack, which cools the meat down too quickly. Cons: - Charging for ssam vegetables is a crime. Should give the option of the salad or the ssam veggies because the latter is what makes kbbq what it is.

Was a little early for a business meeting I had a block away. I knew before hand that if I didn't eat dinner then I would miss it for the evening. I'm used to going to miss Korea but I wanted to try this place out. I was solo but the host greeted me with a smile and was seated by a beautiful young lady and it goes down hill from there. Was approached by a young Asian man who took my drink order, 2 minutes later I was approached by an young Asian woman for the same thing so I told her the other guy took my order and she flipped pulled him to the side and gave him the business. He was so rattled that he poured my water and spilled it on the table then a young Latino backwaiter was carrying a meat tray for the table next to me and she yelled " put it down right now" and he obliged. So I ordered the kkagdugi fried rice and the shrimp pancake as my meal and I will confess that the food was as uncomfortable as my service. The fried rice had very little meat and a lot of gochujang, good luck tasting the daikon radish because you don't and on to the worse part of the meal the shrimp pancake...soggy uncomfortable and awkward with no flavor just imagine stuffed shrimp at some rundown Chinese buffet.... Last but not least the decor of this place is very tight and cramped. Be carful walking in between the tables because some engineer or contractor thought it was a good idea to make the gas pipe line that connects the tables exposed. Big safety hazard . So in all this place gets very little appreciation from me only because the host were sweet and beautiful but the theme of this place is uncomfortable

Hailey, Andy, and the entire team at Jeong Yuk Jeom are amazing! It was our second time here and the food, drinks, and conversation was just second to none. My girlfriend and I (as of 2 months) actually went on our second date here on Valentine's Day before we started dating, and Hailey's amazing service and personality made the date one to be remembered!! She is amazing and the entire staff / every one of our servers and attendants were so nice and sweet the whole time. I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ALL LOOKING TO FIND A CONSISTENTLY GOOD KBBQ SPOT!!! 100/10!!!

So impressed by this place. We felt like valued customers the second we walked through the door and the service was fantastic the whole dinner. Our waitress was so informative and was even mindful about the different preferences in how we wanted our meat cooked. I didn't get her name but thank you so much! We got the meal special for 2 and it was so filling especially with the two included sides and the other side dishes. It came with four different cuts of meat and they were all such high quality. I know the prices are daunting but trust that the customer service and the food make it all worth it especially for a special occasion. Looking forward to going back!

The beef grill for two was excellent, as was the kimchi stew side dish. Our server, who goes by Hayley P, was highly attentive. We very much enjoyed the Yangchon Chungju soju she recommended. The meal was so filling my 23-year-old son and I turned down the free dessert. On our way out, the hostess mentioned that Jeong Yuk Jeom opened only last week. It is a privilege to be among its first reviewers. I give it all the stars!

I made reservation for dinner with my family when we visited in NY. I ordered Butcher's Pride 2nd one, and it was SOOOOOO delicious with soft and high quality meat. They grilled the meat for me, which makes me really convenient. All the staff members were very friendly, and the quality of the meat was excellent. I also ordered a cocktail, and this paired perfectly with the meat. I heard their wagyu sushi is incredibly tender and delicious, so if I come back next time, I'd love to try some of the other dishes as well. I highly recommend you visiting here to experience K-bbq.
