Excellent Jerk Chicken and yams also great red beans and rice and outstanding cabbage, fast, friendly service, and reasonably priced if you like Jerk Chicken , this place is a must try

Jerk Soule is a new restaurant with a lot of potential to stand out as a Jamaican spot on the south side, thanks to its high-quality customer service. Upon entering, we were greeted by the owner and given samples of the jerk chicken, which was a welcoming gesture that set the business apart for me. The jerk chicken is well-seasoned inside and out, but it lacks the pronounced smoky taste of traditional jerk chicken since it isn't cooked on a Chicago-staple aquarium smoker or charcoal grill. I ordered the jerk rib tips, and my partner had the oxtail plate. All the meats were very tender and flavorful, but the absence of the grill's smoke and texture was noticeable. I didn't enjoy the barbecue sauce on the jerk tips as much, as I was expecting a savory jerk flavor. Instead, it was a sweet and savory mix that didn't quite hit the mark for me, though others might love it. We had sweet potatoes, cabbage, and the default rice and peas. Each of the sides was good but not amazing. The recipes have a bit of a kick, presumably from the scotch bonnet, so heads up if you're not a fan of heat. Personally, I enjoyed them. The price was reasonable, and the service was great. I will return to explore the menu further, but I hope they can secure an aquarium smoker instead of using an electric one in the future to enhance the textures and add smoke flavors.

Does not taste good. Tastes bland. Mac and cheese is dry and flavorless. Whole chicken portion sizes are too small barely fits the container. Plus they give me 1 really small tiny size of jerk sauce who does that?!

The food is so authentic and delicious - jerk chicken was so tender and jerk sauce just right, rice and beans with good amount of gravy (not dry at all unlike many places), greens, cabbage, and yams were on point too! The owner Cedric and staff are so welcoming and friendly. I will definitely come here and and recommend to family and friends.

Finally found my jerk spot. The chicken was tender and juicy. The sauce was the right amount of heat and spice, I love heat but it was also flavorful, not just hot. The sides were like my favorite aunty's cooking from Mississippi. Check them out.

First time here based on the reviews and I had a Groupon. I ordered 1/2 white chicken dinner with cabbage and Mac & cheese. Dinners come with rice & peas. Also ordered a Beef Pattie. As a Jamerican I have been struggling with finding a consistent restaurant that I like. I came here based on the reviews and they did not disappoint. The food was flavorful and I will definitely be back. May not order Mac & cheese again because that ain't my go to side but I had to give it a try. Nice portions for the price. One suggestion is to get better to go containers. The section where my cabbage was broke underneath and on top. So had a lot of leakage. Staff was friendly and I like that they show you the order before you leave to make sure it's correct. I will give another try

Chicken was great flavorful and juicy. Service was great. Yams was banging. Cabbage just ok. Rice and beans wasn't a fan. But overall good food

The container the cabbage was put in was busted. Half the cabbage was on top of the tip container. I ordered a large jerk tip but I received a small jerk tip. The tips tasted boiled, no heat, not a lot of flavor.

This is my new "go to" spot for jerk AND soul food. The food is delicious and the customer service is excellent. I'm not in the neighborhood so I travel a distance to get there and it is absolutely worth the trip! I highly recommend this restaurant! Enjoy!

Excellent food Carribean and soul food and ALL of it is good !! They even give discounts and allow you to taste the food !!! And they show you the food before they bag it !! It was scrumptious
