I’m 65 and a bar guy with a wife who likes fine establishments to dive bars. Jerry nails it with a perfect landing on replicating a 1970’s local comfortable feel true bar bar. Jerry does everything right from the small details, excellent simple menu bar food to his staff. Look no further even if a date or night out with your spouse. Jerry’s is a full on great local experience showing all the top sports events. My brother from Pittsburgh said it’s now his #1 favorite bar!

Anyone who reviews Jerry’s place with less than 4 stars has a bowl of Froot Loops for a brain. If you have followed Jerry through his journey to make this place a reality you will know that this place is much more than a tavern; it’s a gathering place for locals to interact, mingle, and enjoy company. Not to mention, the food and beverage options are absolutely spot on for what you would find back in the Midwest! I’m from the Midwest and having grown up there, the door to Jerry’s is a portal back home for me. His Pizza is spot on and is being served sparingly at this point. His burger is the best I may have had in Portland, and his wings just got rated the best in Portland by a local wing review guy on Instagram. Clearly anyone who comes to make a review negative about Jerry’s is an impotent, incel that lives in their mom’s basement. That person also clearly has never been to the Midwest and or know the culture that is the Midwest. The thing Jerry has provided to the city of Portland goes well beyond the food and beverage options being provided. And even at that, those menu items are still amaze balls.

TERRIFIC TAVERN Dive bars have been sadly going out of style and I’m stoked to report that this new spot is a welcome addition to the scene. It’s owned by folks from Wisconsin who have a house divided between the Bears and Packers. It was PACKED at 3:30 on a Friday and it was nice to see. They’re still working out their food menu, but what they have is FANTASTIC. Easily in the top 10 bar burgers in Portland. Excellent service, reasonable prices, and ample street parking. Owners have hearts of GOLD! Come check it out!

Clean kitchen, bar, and bathroom! Jerry and his wife Lauren were personally walking around making sure everyone’s drinks were full and that everyone was having a great time! I’m a Chicagoan, went for the Bears game and there were so many friendly, strange, and inebriated customers, it was fantastic and felt like home. The Vienna Beef hot dogs, homemade brats, and Italian sausages were delicious. The bar was packed inside and out which we loved. Icing on the cake was the Bears actually pulled out a W!

Chances are you're reading this for the wings. The hype is real, get there earlier rather than later to make sure they have enough. Beyond that the place is incredible. Very friendly incredibly competent staff that is invested in you having a great time. It's the neighborhood bar Portland used to be known for, but are becoming increasingly hard to find. Here's hoping this one thing can stay the same for a long time.

This place has everything you want in a sports bar: tons of TVs, a great beer selection, and a lively crowd of passionate fans. The decor is packed with cool sports memorabilia, giving it an old-school vibe that’s hard to beat. The staff are quick and friendly, making sure your drinks never run dry. Whether you’re here for a big game or just a casual hangout, the energy is always electric. Definitely my new go-to spot for catching the game!

The owner is such an energetic and fun guy. And these cheese curds are for real! Like a tempura batter; fresh fried and not pre made and frozen

Place was insane but well managed have friends who are from Chicago who took us here was a good time of you are ready to deal with the herd of people, I think that is kind of the point. I appreciate it for what it is. If you are from Chicago and miss home I imagine this is what you are looking for. The cheese curds were fantastic so were the sliders
