The 21 Best Chinese Restaurants In London

"Chinatown isn’t lacking in grab-and-go options but Jíxíang Baozi, a tiny Fujianese takeaway spot, is an excellent choice. The plump handheld fritters lay golden and tanned in the window—take a couple to go straight from the tray, or ask for another dunk in the fryer if you like your snacks steaming hot and crispy. Of the chicken, pork, and oyster, the oyster cake reigns supreme: salty and packed with a shredded handful of bean sprouts, cabbage, seaweed, and onion. " - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager

London’s Best Grab & Go Meals

"This tiny Fujianese takeaway spot in Chinatown is all about plump handheld fritters. They lay golden and tanned in the window of this cupboard-sized space and there’s a choice of chicken, pork, and oyster. Take it to go straight from the tray, or ask for another dunk in the fryer if you like your snacks steaming hot and crispy. Of the three, the oyster cake reigns supreme. Salty and packed with a handful of bean sprouts, cabbage, seaweed, and onion—this is a sensational snack for under a fiver." - jake missing, rianne shlebak

I came to Chinatown while visiting London and tried these wonderful buns. I took a beef bun, it was delicious and hot. Truly perfect for the cold weather these days. Keep in mind that they only accept cash so make sure to withdraw some beforehand. For foreigners there is a currency exchange office at the end of the street (1 min walk).

such good prices for what you get! The bao buns are all £3.50 and so are the pancakes, and they’re really big. The only thing is it’s currently cash only so don’t forget to bring some actual money 🩷🩷

Mum & I touristing London. It’s a very cosy little unassuming spot, so don’t miss it! We stood outside and a man took our order as we paid outside the door, and he passed it out to us. We shared a chicken pancake and it was delightful, so flavourful we almost went back for seconds! Less than £4 and it was quite large and very tasty!

Yummy oyster pancake, was very generous with the filling! Bit on the oily side, and no serviettes on offer but luckily we had our own

Super delicious BAOs here, unique and local. My personal favorite is Beef bun, and second is Chicken pancake. Stayed in London for 3 nights and been there twice :) cash only place.

Food is fast, cheap, and good, but nothing to right home about until you toss a good portion of sriracha to it. The place could be a bit more comfy - it’s targeted more towards takeaway. The hot tea is good on a rainy day.

Amazing value food. Massive bun for £3.50. We tried duck and pork and both were great.

Honestly, you're here for a big, filling, steaming hot and fresh Bao that simply put doesn't come from anywhere else in Chinatown as affordable, quick and tasty as this. I always get a bun before going into central, and it's no easy choice between flavours as ultimately depends what you feel like on the day.
