JIA Asian Street Kitchen

Came here for a date night with my wife. We made a reservation and we're seated shortly after arriving. We ordered a couple drinks, the pork belly bao, the beef bachelor, and the khao soi. Everything was delicious and serving size was generous. Decor was fun and I loved the robot server 😁🤖

We love this place! The food is always amazing and fresh. The service is always friendly and welcoming. The decor and music set a really good atmosphere and there’s lots of seating available. I have yet to have a bad experience. Thank you everyone at Jia!!!

This was a great place for Thai food. Nestled into a small shopping area it offered nicer accommodations. Food came out fast and was freshly prepared. Appetizers were great and fun. Drinks complimented the food nicely with a happy hour. In the summer months there is a nice patio and inside was nice. Service was a little out of cadence, perhaps a waiter was missing during our visit. Of street parking. Prices were as expected for quality. Overall a good place for Thai food in the south part of town.

The food is delicious and the restaurant is gorgeous inside. I almost always get the spicy eggplant. The cocktails are creative and well made but overpriced so try these during happy hour. I also really like their lunch specials because you can get a delicious dish that comes with their delightful bone broth for sipping for $20.

Lovely restaurant. The atmosphere is very calming and comfortable. The food was excellent. Lots of Thai influence. Very nice savory flavors with an excellent (but not overstated) presentation. Menu prices price meals between $16 and $20. There is very nice indoor seating as well as an outdoor patio. We found the service to be attentive without being intrusive. A very nice surprise to experience.

Very cool decor and a great vibe. I'm not sure what was "street food" about the menu, and the prices are anything but. It actually has a pretty high end feel inside. The food was pretty good. Service was friendly, but not on par with the whole feel of the place.

Phenomenal food and service. Had the beef bachelor and the fire&smoke cocktail. The beef was tender and the sauce has the perfect level of spice which didn’t overpower, but added to the flavor. The cocktail was excellent for people who like smokey flavors. Not too sweet and smooth. The waitress was very helpful and made recommendations, we made a few changes to our order and everything came out as we asked and timely. I will definitely be coming back to this spot.

The ambiance of this place is very cool! I've been both at night and during the day, but highly recommend while it's dark. The lights are so fun. Very insta-worthy! It definitely has more of a downtown vibe, but it is tucked in a SW Bend area. I think it is 100% worth the drive to check this place out. Service is phenomenal! Both times I've been. Friendly& attentive. The food is really good. Some really fun twists on more traditional dishes. I think next time I go I want to sit at the bar. The started doing comedy on Wednesday nights - I may have to check that out too!

One of our best/favorite meals from our time in Bend was at Jia - it was a perfect combination of delicious food, cute decor, and especially great service. My friends and I ordered: - Crispy rolls appetizer - Spicy eggplant with tofu - Saigon bowl - Vietnamese chicken plate Drinks were delicious AND pretty, and the food was just very satisfyingly flavorful. My favorite was the spicy eggplant, which was so good. We truly wish we were hungry enough for dessert! Reservation was easy to get, and really can't say enough about how nice and attentive the staff were. Very much recommend!

JIA is 20 minutes outside of downtown Bend but is well worth the drive. The menu is innovative, and they offer some truly craft cocktails. We tried the Long Island Sunrise and the Tokyo by Night, both of which were unique, and the Kuhn Craig which was more like a traditional margarita and the least exciting of the 3. We ordered the food family style so we could all try multiple things: - Crispy rolls appetizer - Spicy eggplant with tofu - Saigon bowl - Vietnamese chicken plate Highly recommend all 3 main courses. The chicken was so tender and well flavored it was hard to stop eating it. Three dishes was more than enough for 3 people, and we probably could have gotten by with two. Can't wait to return!

Love this place! Food is fresh, ambiance is terrific and the wait staff were super friendly and had good recommendations for a first timer. Chicken wing appetizer was delish and was frankly enough as a meal! Green beans were also terrific as were the pork belly bao. We were a party of three and they put an extra bao on the plate for us so we got to have three. Will definitely return!

JIA is absolutely FANTASTIC! Every single one of the dishes we tried were absolutely delicious. We tried green beans, crispy rolls and the wings as appetizers and they were all great. Personally I would say the wings and green beans were the best, so would absolutely get those again. For main course, the spicy noodles are delicious but my favorite was the peanut bomb. The sauces they have here are insanely good. We literally kept the sauce from the wings to pour over the rice from the main dishes. Their old fashioned cocktail was the best old fashioned I've ever had, and a fun take on it making it a bit sweeter than a traditional old fashioned. They were short on servers the night we were there but the service was still fantastic in my opinion. Our waitress was helpful and super attentive. Overall fantastic service. And the ambiance is super cool! The inside has all kinds of cool decorations with the clouds and moon, LED light, really just a nice atmosphere. I can only say great things about my experience at JIA and would absolutely come back and recommend anyone to visit!

When you wanted to have hot pot and be treated like a star for your birthday I highly recommend Jia Asian Street Kitchen. Everything was prepped ahead of time with great detail down to the radishes being cut to look like mushrooms and the sauces having hearts in them. Abundance of ingredients and attentive staff so we were never low on broth. Beautiful aesthetic and even the music was pleasant. Well done guys!

The most authentic Thia experience in Central Oregon. Drink, dessert and a the most amazing meal.

First time for this place based on good rating. We ordered fried prawns and lemon grass chicken. All foods were not made freshly,, just refried or heat up. Not worth.

Before moving to Bend in 2023, my favorite restaurant was a Thai restaurant in Las Vegas, touted as one of the top 100 Thai restaurants in the U.S. Their famous signature dish is Crispy Garlic Shrimp. JIA is the ONLY Thai restaurant I have ever visited that also offers this amazing shrimp dish! Be sure to order it when you go!

Here's to more Asian women owned businesses! Looking for dinner after zip lining so we stopped in to try JIA. Greeted warmly by the hostess, who actually served us as well. Ordered the Thai basil beef, Spicy noodle, and Red Thai curry chicken. EVERYTHING was delicious and flavorful! Come and support this wonderful small business, I'm definitely putting them on the top of my list!

I must rave about their general garlic shrimp! Parts of the skin on the shrimp were so crispy with the right amount of fried garlic! The shrimps were large, almost like prawns. You can find it under "starters" in their menu, but the portion was large enough for it to be considered an entree instead! The place was beautifully decorated, including outside of their restaurant (lanterns and cascading flowers hung from the top). Service was great also! The food came at a reasonable time given they all tasted so delicious!

So stoked for more Asian restaurants in Bend and cheers to Asian women owned business! Finally got to check this place out and definitely will come back. We had the spicy noodles, chicken skewer with the peanut sauce and the Ube cheesecake! All were delish, favorite was the Pra Ram (peanut bomb!). Going to try their lunch special. Such a great place, ambience is top-notch, very well-detailed (and instagrammable) and can't forget about the service-- everyone was kind! Met Cynthia, such a cool person to talk to! Thank you, we all had a great time.

So good! Our table ordered 4 dishes to share family style and each one was delicious in its own way. The pork belly was by far the winner and if I had to put a dish in last, it would be the chicken curry. The chicken was a bit bland by itself and needed to be drenched in the curry sauce for flavor. But still overall, very delicious. The ambiance of this restaurant is super cute and perfect for a date night or out with family and friends. Service was friendly and inviting and the dishes came out quicker than expected.

It took us an hour to get our incredibly overpriced tiny serving. The food was just ok. This place sucks.

This place was such a special find! One of our doctors and I have started doing regular dinners out at new places we haven't been to and this one knocked it put of the part. The theming inside is so cute and I definitely recommend going at night so you can see it all lit up. The chicken skewers seemed to be a fave for everyone (I don't eat meat) but I can vouch for the tofu being amazing. Kind staff, and their drink experience is also meat! Get the tiki torch drink!

Eggplant dish with tofu was amazing! The green beans, the prawns! I love the floating clouds on the ceiling. Servers were on top of everything and friendly. Highly recommend.

Positive: Beautiful ambiance, decor. Negative: MSG in all dishes! Food is delicious BUT after getting a severe headache and other side effects which I haven't had in decades (as most restaurants have stopped using MSG), I knew immediately that it was in the food. I called and they confirmed MSG in all their food. Unfortunately, I will not be able to return due to this ingredient. If you have no issues with this ingredient then I would recommend this place.

I was excited to try the food at the newly opened Jia Asian Street Kitchen! Come to find out that the owner, Cynthia is from San Jose (where Vietnamese food is so prevalent). She is such a nice person and really committed to getting the food right and authentic to the flavors and quality from home. I love the beautiful, modern decor and the lively, family vibe. We got the spicy noodles, the green beans, the Saigon bowl with grilled chicken, and the chicken pho. Prices are comparable to other restaurants of this quality in the area, so not a huge shock. You order and pay up front, and someone shows you to your table. You have to collect your own utensils and water (no ice available). After our food was delivered, someone came to check on us only once. The food came out quickly, for the most part. First to arrive was my Saigon bowl. The flavors were spot-on! I really appreciated the fried shallots and crushed peanuts. The grilled chicken skewers were made with breast meat but they were not dry at all. Good flavor, though I thought it could have used more lemongrass. The chicken pho broth tasted off - but that was because the cooks accidentally used the vegetarian pho broth instead of the chicken broth! Otherwise, the noodles were good and there was a lot of chicken meat in this huge bowl of pho. Overall, pretty close to home though we are used to having more Thai basil condiment. The green beans were delicious. Fried just right. Really liked all the garlic that they used. We thought it was a bit too sweet, but that's personal preference. Did not like that the bottom beans were lying in a slick of oil on the plate. There must have been a mixup with the kitchen because we had to ask them to check the kitchen for our spicy noodle dish - it didn't arrive as quickly as all the other dishes. Eventually it did arrive. The noodles were nice and chewy, there was a lot of ground pork, and the chili heat was just right - not too mild and not too killer. But again, when we got to the bottom of the plate, there was a slick of oil. I'm sure that the kitchen will be able to work out the kinks. I'm also optimistic that they will continue to perfect their flavors. We finished everything and were happy. Happy that Bend has another Asian restaurant and happy that Cynthia is able to fulfill her dream. We wish her all the success.

Food and drinks were amazing, staff were friendly and helpful. Can't forget to mention how beautiful it is inside! They also have a cute little patio if you wanna bring your dog.

Great food and great cocktails! Good summer patio. Kid friendly. Great happy hour. Definitely worth the trip.

Just better limes would go a long way for their drinks, given all the other efforts on cocktails...I've received subpar limes with drinks on multiple occasions like tonight. A gin and tonic should not be served with a lemon as I received before asking for a decent lime

Everything about JIA is absolute perfection! Every detail inside is thought out, from the hand painted artwork, to the cute cloud lights, to the paint color and wallpaper. Everyone who works there is so kind and helpful too. You can tell that so much love went into this place! Our drinks were incredible, my husband got the Old Town Road which is a Thai Tea old fashioned and I got the Fire and Smoke - both were soooo good! We got the popcorn shrimp for an appetizer and the portion is so big! It comes 2 ways and both sauces were amazing. For entrees I got the spicy eggplant with tofu and my husband got the Saigon Bowl. We both said "this is the BEST meal we've had at a restaurant in years!." JIA is Bend's best kept secret and we are planning to make this our weekly date night spot. Thanks for the amazing night out!!

Our first visit about 2 mos ago was spectacular. Portions were sizable, great for sharing and the food was so good! Service was also impeccable that night. We went for dinner tonight, and immediately noticed a significant decrease in portion sizes. The crispy rolls used to be 6 decent sized homemade rolls. Tonight, it was 4 tiny rolls. The food was still tasty, but the curry came in a much smaller bowl as well. All in all, food was good, portions did not seem to be "family style" like they used to be.

I want to love this place, but.... To start, the ambience is wonderful. However, after we were seated and our order taken we didn't see our server until the check came. The kitchen staff brought out the food and the bartender brought out the drinks (halfway through our entree). Food was okay. The General Shrimp came in the full shell. That was new and I was not a fan. We spent more time cleaning the shrimp then I did eating it. The green beans were delicious though. I really hope they can bring this together. We would love a regular place in the neighborhood.

6 of us shared numerous dishes: Garlic prawns Peanut bomb w/ chicken Tuna poke bowl Carpaccio Green beans (x2!) Pork belly & rice Thai crispy basil w/ beef All delicious. Staff and owner were very courteous and went above & beyond. We brought in our own cake for a birthday and they not only sliced it, but also presented it on a special plate, paired it with a cocktail, and washed our cake dish from home! Fun interior details made for great photos too. Can't wait to return.

A large group of us had dinner at JIA a few days ago. I'd just like to say that it was ... great. We had a reservation which is definitely required here on a busy night. Our waitress was wonderful. Food came out promptly and was delicious. Portions were generous. All in all a very good experience.

We had a terrific meal tonight. The wings were to die for and the drinks were terrific not to mention the service. They were very busy but the servers handled it with grace. We Will definitely return

This place was amazing! The decor is relaxed but tropical. The servers were friendly and attentive. The "Far East Chx" chicken wing appetizer was perfect: the fried chicken was crunchy and perfectly cooked and the sauce is the type of sauce you want to put on everything--and it wasn't sticky like so many wing sauces. The entrees (Saigon Bowl and Pra Ram) and drinks were all excellent as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here.

The food, service, and ambiance were all spot on! The portions were really big but we somehow managed to eat it all because it was all sooo good. Such a cute little spot! The owner and staff were incredibly friendly. This is our new favorite spot in town. 10/10 Highly recommend.

Food was average at best. Green bean appetizer was fantastic but the rest of the meal was disappointing. Saigon bowl had overcooked (mushy) rice noodles and fried tofu cubes that were likely cooked hours before because they were room temp, dry, and had no flavor. Peanut bomb was not hot when it was served and at that point we were not interested in sending it back so it was better as leftovers microwaved but wouldn't recommend. We won't be back - far better Asian restaurants to choose from in Bend.

The food was WAY too sweet! I gave it a second chance and had the same experience. I will say, the staff is very friendly and the restaurant is beautiful! Really the best ambiance in Bend.

I have a MSG allergy and before I left the restaurant I had swollen lips and headache I thought asian restaurants quit using MSG The service was good, I didn't like the seating arrangements compared to individual booths the prior restaurant had. I was not impressed with the liquor choices. My husband drink's Pendleton whiskey , the bar only had a selection of bourbon, I drink Scotch whiskey , none available. Food was OK. We probably won't return

This is everything we needed in Bend for an Asian restaurant. It was the fastest service I have ever had here and it was all so good with generous portions. I haven't been excited about any Asian restaurant since moving here 9 years ago. This is def gonna be one of my go to restaurants even though it's out of the way and so far down south! The ambiance is amazing. Def worth the drive!!

Based on mostly glowing reviews we were anxious to try JIA. Honestly, it was just ok. Our party of four were seated after ordering, none of us were fans of this process, just seemed odd, especially adding a tip before experiencing food, drinks and service. The restaurant is visually appealing, lovely atmosphere, can be a bit noisy. Food arrived fairly quickly. Our party ordered four dishes which were ok, nothing to rave about. There were no sauces on the table, nothing extra. We had to ask for drink refills. The owner is super friendly, charming. Other than our interaction with her, service was lackluster. Not sure I'd return.

Horrible! Greasy skin on thigh meat for chicken. Deep fried prawns without that for a description. Really unpalatable. Left 3/4 of my meal. Service was friendly and nice. Ambiance excellent.

We had a family dinner at Jia and the food was delicious. The dishes were generously large and perfect for sharing as a family. We started off with the Thai Steamed mussels that came with a delicious sauce. For entrees we had the spicy noodles, the chicken curry, and the bone-in beef noodle soup. The beef noodle soup was my favorite dish of the night as the broth was incredibly deep and flavorful. Not to mention the giant bone in short rib looked insane and was very tender. For drinks I had a Tiki Torch Cocktail, which came with an incredible presentation. The staff is also friendly and accommodating, making it a stress-free experience for families with kids. We will definitely be back soon!

I have been wanting to check out Jia since it opened. It was as good as it looks! The cocktails are amazing and unique. Everything was so flavorful and delicious - I could just eat all the apps and be a happy girl. Plus the ambiance and all the decor details really transport you. recommend.

Although there are many Thai restaurants here in Bend , like Wild Rose and Noi. The chef in that kitchen knows exactly what it means to effectively execute a curry. An explosion of flavor with the perfect amount of spice. The chicken is cooked to perfection, as well as the rice. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

I had such high expectations for this new Chinese restaurant near our home, but it felt like the menu was smaller than a squirrel's lunchbox. We went all-in and ordered four items, (which was most of the menu) including a soup that cost more than my last pedicure - a whopping $40! The broth was a symphony of flavors, but the short rib with a vary large bone had some clumps of jiggly fat. Then, the crispy rolls showed up, crispier than a bag of sunbaked potato chips, and delicious, but $14 for three small rolls halved? Yikes! The spicy noodles joined the party, but they were saltier than a sailor's vocabulary. Oddly, the green beans were the surprise guest comedian, stealing the spotlight when we least expected it. Now, their tipping system resembled a comedy sketch. You had to tip upfront, like prepaying for a comedy show without knowing if it's actually funny. Choosing between 20%, 25%, or a whopping 30% felt like negotiating a hostage situation. Whatever happened to the standard 15% option especially when you do all the work and nobody's yet earned anything? They seated us, but we had to play a game of fetch with our own water, utensils, and napkins. No ice in sight either. Ugh. A server only checked on us once, and we were so parched from the salty spicy noodles that our tongues felt like they had joined the pickle club. Yet, there was no one in sight to rescue us. Yelp advertised happy hour, but Jia left out the "happy" because they had no liquor. It's like inviting a clown to a party and realizing they forgot their red nose. In the end, we departed with a hefty bill and a comedy routine we won't forget. Sorry, Jia, but I'd rather invest in a Netflix subscription for my dining entertainment and heat up leftovers.

This is THE place. I have been saying for years that bend NEEDS more Asian influence. This is it! The Far East CHX is the most crispy, delicious, chicken wings I've ever had. The spicy noodles and Beef bun Bo hue are to die for! The Saigon bowls, pho, and bun Bo hue all have huge portions!! The service is great! Everyone is so kind and helpful. As for the ambiance it is swanky! Such a cool space, awesome murals, lanterns, clouds, and a giant moon! Highly recommend for anyone who's looking for a new favorite restaurant!

Had a wonderful dinner here with my adult son. Service was friendly and attentive. Drinks were delicious and food was great. We tried a lot of appetizers and enjoyed them all. The pork belly entree was the best I've ever tasted.

Jia has amazing food, friendly service, and amazing ambiance. I felt amazing as walked an I was greeted by the amazing host Julia with an amazing smile. I was suggested to try the amazing far east chicken and shrimp spring rolls. I was also suggested to try the Thai Iced Tea and that was great. Food was served fast and hot and was asked by management if I had enjoyed everything. The lighting, decor and restaurant was modern.

The food is delicious and not like anything else you'll have in Bend. The staff is kind and respectful. Lastly, the place is very cool and picturesque. Hidden gem on the outside of town. If you have some out of town folks visiting, this is a great spot to take them for an experience and wonderful shared plates

Everything about Jia was perfect for our party of 6! Fun and happy decor, tasty hot appetizers and entrees! Service was top.notch! We will be returning to Jia for lunch and dinner!

This place was amazing. Food was spectacular. We ordered almost one of everything and every dish was delicious. Our fave was the spicy noodles. Was never a big pork belly fan but holy lord, the pork belly bao was one of the best baos I've ever had. We ordered on our phones which was super convenient. No need to wait for someone to come to the table to take your order. Food and drinks came out super quick. And you can close and pay your tab when you're done. Easier than trying to split checks, wait for card to be picked up, etc. I hope this place sticks around. The food was on point.
