"A far cry from the previous restaurants in this southside location, owner Cynthia Linh wanted to recreate the feel of the night markets and bustling streets of East Asian cities, with bright neon, a giant papier-mâché moon, and a graffiti-styled warrior over the bar that appears to be slashing at the white-leafed tree in the center of the dining room. The playful vibe also applies to the drinks: An ice flower sculpture topped with an edible butterfly arrives with the Artemis Redemption, a gin cocktail with pineapple and pomegranate. Two or more diners can dive into the bone-in beef noodle soup, in which a mammoth beef short rib sits in a spicy broth with a bed of udon noodles. The menu spans several Asian countries, with things like Vietnamese pho, Taiwanese five-spice pork belly gua bao, and Thai red curry with lemongrass." - Barb Gonzalez
