It is a very decent and authentic Chinese restaurant. They have fancy Chinese food with beautiful plating, most of which we can only get in China. Their Peking duck is very good. The other dishes like string beans and smoked pork are all very nice. Even the free appetizer picked cabbage is well made that I asked for refill. The servers are attentive. Overall definitely is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city.

Spent a wonderful evening at Jiangnan! The foods are so good! My favorite are braised rice with black truffle and steamed lotus roots stuffed sticky rice. Amazing! My 2 friends and I would give them 5 stars out of five! Totally recommend this place. Oh we forgot to take picture of the black truffle rice.

Google
One of the best Chinese experiences I've had in my life! Every dish was fantastic and the service was very good. The duck, tiger shrimp, and green beans were incredible. Soup dumplings are also a must. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Review | A Michelin-Recommended Gem for 3 Years Straight — The Pickled Chili Sea Bass is Next-Level! Stumbled upon this incredible Sichuan restaurant that has earned Michelin recognition for three consecutive years (2022–2024), and honestly, it lives up to the hype! Main Dishes: Pickled Chili Sea Bass & Spicy Boiled Beef The highlight of the night was the Pickled Chili Sea Bass — served whole in a bubbling hot pot, with crispy skin and tender meat infused with that signature tangy, spicy flavor of pickled chilies. It’s bold, aromatic, and totally addictive. The broth is loaded with extras like lotus root, potato slices, enoki mushrooms, and wide glass noodles — all soaking up that glorious spicy flavor. The Spicy Boiled Beef (Shuizhuniurou) was equally impressive — juicy, flavorful beef in a numbing chili oil broth with plenty of veggies. Perfectly executed. Drinks: Matcha Latte & Osmanthus Latte After the heat, we cooled off with two surprisingly good lattes — the Matcha Latte had a strong green tea aroma and was topped with a beautiful matcha leaf design, while the Osmanthus Latte was lightly floral and soothing, with delicate dried osmanthus sprinkled on the frothy top. Both were creamy, balanced, and a perfect match for the spice. Ambience & Service: The three Michelin plaques on the wall immediately set the tone. The space is modern with tasteful Chinese elements, clean and cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Verdict: If you’re a spice lover or a fan of authentic Sichuan cuisine, this place is a must. The Pickled Chili Sea Bass alone is worth the trip. Add in great drinks and a solid atmosphere — it’s easily one of my new go-to spots!

Google
Had a great experience here. Make a reservation first, so that you don’t have to wait at the front because this place is BUSY! The servers are quite attentive and want to make sure that your meal is okay. We got the salted egg yolk prawns and that was so incredibly delicious. The seafood fried noodles was also a great dish that my friend really liked. Finally, just look at that decor! My friend is an interior designer, and she was so happy. The prices also aren’t too steep considering its Michelin star recognition. I would definitely come back and try some of the other dishes.

Google
This Chinese restaurant truly lives up to its three Michelin stars — every dish we tried was a masterpiece. The dumplings were perfectly delicate and bursting with flavor, the soup was rich and comforting, and the Beijing duck was simply unforgettable — crispy skin, tender meat, and beautifully presented. We also tried their pineapple beer, which was a surprisingly refreshing and delicious pairing with the food. The atmosphere added to the whole experience — elegant, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. If you’re looking for an authentic, upscale Chinese dining experience, this place is an absolute must. I can’t wait to go back!

Google
We had dinner at Jiang Nan and it was absolutely unbelievable! Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented — truly some of the best food we’ve had in a long time. Our server, Cao, was fantastic — attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The whole experience was top-notch from start to finish. Highly recommend! We will be back! Thank you!!!

Google
Typical excellent Chinese cuisine. Waiting time at the bar with a beer was easy. The Beijing duck I had was perfect. The side dishes were great too. Service was quick and easy. Design is a mixture of modern and asian style. I’ll come back!

Yelp
Jiang Nan in Chinatown is such a great find! It's a cozy yet trendy spot that strikes the perfect balance between modern and authentic. The menu is packed with incredible Chinese and Sichuan dishes that truly deliver. The highlight of our meal was definitely the Peking duck--it was absolutely phenomenal. The crispy skin, the tender meat, and the perfectly paired sauces made it unforgettable. We also loved the noodles--so flavorful and cooked just right. Honestly, everything we tried was delicious, and it's clear the kitchen puts a lot of care into every dish. The service was great too--friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Whether you're looking for an elevated dinner spot in Chinatown or just craving authentic Sichuan food, Jiang Nan is 100% worth a visit. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes!

Yelp
I came here again on a Saturday afternoon (1 pm). My friend and I were seated right away. You can order on the iPad and then a server comes over to double check your order. We got: - Peking duck - I love the presentation as always!! Everyone is always impressed by the presentation and how cute it is. - eggplant: I love eggplant and the sauce is incredible. - cabbage: I was expecting something more... but it was just cabbage. It did its job but I would have ordered something else instead. Service was great. I love bringing my friends here!

Yelp
Went to Jiang Nan as a group of four on a Sunday night at 6pm. We had made a reservation, but there seemed to be a few empty tables so I think that even if we hadn't made a reservation, it would have been fine. We ordered half a peking duck, boneless grilled fish in tomato broth, honey walnut shrimp, pork soup dumplings, and stir fried string beans. I enjoyed the walnut shrimp a lot - the shrimp was fresh and was cooked perfectly so that it had a nice springy texture. The fish, soup dumplings, and the string beans were pretty typical-delicious but nothing spectacular. I had heard that many people liked the peking duck here, so I was particularly excited to try it as I love peking duck. Unfortunately, I was kind of disappointed by it. The skin on the duck was not crispy, so it felt like I was just eating a regular roast duck. I also prefer when peking duck comes with buns instead of wraps, but I know that many restaurants provide wraps instead of buns so I can't fault Jiang Nan for that.

Yelp
When you want some comforting staples, come to Jiang Nan! I came here with my mother on a slow day and we're seating right away. The seating space is very small but the service was incredibly speedy. You order through their electronic menu. A staff member comes and confirms your order with you and then they swiftly begin the dining experience. Some things like the soup dumplings take slightly longer, but you're not even thinking about that when you have your other food coming out so quickly. The Peking duck was fabulous. The skin was crispy and the rice was classic. The dumplings were spectacular. I loved this experience and I am already so excited to come back

Yelp
Modern Asian spot in Chinatown. I've been to a few Jiang Nan and this one of the few that had presentation and taste. The servers were really nice and knowledgeable of the menu. My friend and I definitely over-ordered but we managed to finish everything because it tasted great. We ordered half a Peking Duck, the crab meat (forgot what it was called), truffle soup dumpling, eggplants, 2 drinks, and we got a free rack of soup dumpling for checking into Yelp. Everything was good and I'll definitely be back to try their other items

Yelp
Love love love their Peking duck. A family favorite. The whole duck was $88 and there was plenty for our group of 5

Yelp
Jiang Nan combines flavors from each region of China into their dishes with fun smokey presentations. The staff is super attentive and friendly and I really love the elevated atmosphere here!  DEAL: if you visit Monday-Friday from 12-5pm, and spend $30+ you'll get a free plate of steamed pork soup dumplings (Xiao long baos) what we ordered: cumin lamb $26.95   sauteed shrimp $26.95 deep fried tofu w/ black truffle $16.95 sauteed crab meat $29.95 steamed pork & crab meat soup dumpling 4pc smoke pork neck meat $25.95 pineapple beer $15.95 the crab rice dish definitely reminds me of comfort food! The server mixes the crab with rice for us and it's just a soft texture with fragrant crab that we really enjoyed! I'm a bigggg fan of the tofu dish cause it is crispy and soft at the same time! It's the perfect way to get anyone to eat more tofu hehe. The Smokey Pork Shoulder is like boujee bacon - thinly sliced, soft, tender, and with a delightful smokiness. A must for bacon lovers.  the cumin lamb was flavorful with a hit of spice, not as spicy as usual Szechuan cumin lamb! i would definitely get the pineapple beer again because it was sweet and had only a slight beer aftertaste.

Yelp
Great service and the waiters/waitresses are all very attentive. We came on a Tuesday night and it was still about 70% packed. Very cute and minimal decor. My fave dish is the duck and the duck soup! Super yummy and doesn't taste oily/salty at all. Their string beans are also very yummy- super flavorful. The home style crispy fish was more flavorful than I expected. Wish the salted egg yolk shrimp had more flavor. Overall really good ! Would come again!

Yelp
The Peking Duck skin was super crispy and the meat was tender. Excellent service, excellent food. I had a great time with my friend here.

Yelp
Must try the mega lamb skewer , Peking duck & sautéed crab meat!! It is so good. The service is excellent!!! The portion size is just right. Not too much and not too little

Yelp
I enjoyed the food and ambiance. The service was nice and the food came out quickly. I received a free lychee tea for this review

Yelp
Great string beans, incredible flavor cooked to perfection. Sadly the order was minuscule and it was the highlight of the meal. To be fair, service was very good and the crispy beef with lemon flavoring / not my choice - was perfectly cooked, but lemon? Just no. Please taste your food restaurant. Do you honestly think that's a flavor profile worth keeping. If you are wondering, you really shouldn't - it was not good. The pork soup dumplings were salty but okay. The spicy wontons were pretty good - not string bean good, but no complaints. That leads to the last dish - I wasn't sure what to get and ordered Kung pao chicken, an old stand by. It had an odd texture and no flavor except bizarrely sweet. Really big fail here. What made the experience even more difficult was that my seat offered a perfect view of a restaurant across the street with fresh looking ducks and pork in the window - my guess is that that restaurant would have been a better choice.

Yelp
I went to this rather fancy Chinese restaurant with a group a good while ago. In general, a couple dishes were fine though pricey while others were excellent. This is one of many locations though apparently the Flushing location is the best in the city and it would be nice to go there to compare. They have a nice open space with good decor but unlike another one of the fancier restaurants in the neighborhood; Hwa Yuan; the food here is actually pretty tasty being closer in quality to spots such as Uluh. They lean more towards Szechuan but there are dishes from other regions and I would probably list this place as Szechuan instead of caterers. Surprisingly they have a expansive drink menu though I find it funny that one of the descriptions here is cocktail bar and this is only the second review out of 150 here and 5th including the 400+ reviews at their other location to list cocktails. Anyway, I don't remember the name of my drink but it had rice wine as well as osmanthus and it was tasty with a unique presentation. The booze sneaks up on you with this one. Their specialty is their pineapple beer but the group I'm usually in doesn't drink that much or else I probably would have gotten that. They gave us some cabbage while waiting which was appreciated which had a good crunch and a little bit of numbing from the peppercorn. The main dish of the night was the Whole Peking Duck for $88 though we added the Processed Bone option for $15 which is an option of either salt and pepper crispy duck bones or a tofu and veggies duck soup and we got the former so in total it was $103 which is expensive but for a good quality Peking Duck, it's good. The duck was way better than the aforementioned Hwa Yuan with crispy skin and tender meat with there uniquely being some pineapple for some reason on the side of the plate which was a fun touch. The pancakes were pretty thin as well. Said Salt and Pepper Crispy Duck Bones were solid with plenty of meat though I would say they were a bit too salty here. Overall it was a good Peking duck, but if you're looking specifically for an excellent one, I would highly recommend Golden Wu-ish which is both more reasonably priced and gives the soup as one of the courses. Still very good and leagues better than most of the other ducks we have been trying. From chef specialty, the Cumin Lamb On Sizzling Plate for $26.95 has a nice presentation being flambéed at the table. Pretty strong cumin flavors with tender lamb and I remember the onions being well flavored also though not as peppercorn focused so it was a bit different (perhaps the peppercorns got roasted too much from the heat.) A bit pricey but you pay for the presentation and it was overall solid and I would recommend it. From house specials, our favorite of the two was the Braised Pork Belly in Black Tea Sauce for $27.95 which was a fun spin on red braised pork belly/hong shao rou with tender pieces of rich pork belly and a few accompaniments. The pork belly didn't melt though I don't mind this as the texture was still good as it wasn't chewy. The sauce wasn't as sweet as normal though I couldn't exactly tell it was black tea. From the same menu, I wouldn't recommend the Deep Fried Shredded Eel With Chili for $34.95 as much. While the portion size is decent for the price and it had a good mala kick, you can't exactly tell that it's eel outside of the slightly soft inside. I would stick with a less expensive ingredient cooked in the same excellent chili as long as it's prepared just as well. There were also dishes from the entrees and vegetables that we ordered with all of them being good. The Mapo Tofu with Minced Pork for $16.95 is one of the more reasonably priced dishes and it was pretty solid. It could use a bit more peppercorn but the flavors were there and the tofu had a good silken texture. Also solid was the Stir Fried Cauliflower With Pork Belly for $18.95. The presentation was nice with a good serving plate and the cauliflower was well roasted with the bits of pork belly being nice and smoky though I prefer personally the Hunan style with other types of preserved meat in there as well though for this version; it was quite good. Also tasty from the same section was the Deep Fried Jumbo Prawn With Salty Egg Yolk for $26.95. The prawns were large and sweet with a bit of savoriness and saltiness from the coated egg yolk. The portion size was good enough for sharing also though not particularly big. I would probably recommend this though not to order it alone as your entree. It's a little bit hard to rate this place. It is nice to have a fancier Chinese spot and I would compare it favorably to several of the more expensive Chinese places (especially as just like them you have to order rice for some reason) but also say that the price point is a little bit high for some of the dishes. I wouldn't mind going back and trying some more things (especially the Szechuan boiled fish.) 3.7 or so though maybe a bit lower.
google avatar

Emi B.

Yelp
3.75 Favorite was Salted Egg Yolk Prawn, tasty, although half of it was the crispy oil stick not prawn. The rest of the dishes were okay - not wowed Okra Cumin Lamb Crispy Fish with Pine Nut in Sweet & Sour Sauce Soup Dumpling was the worst I've ever had in the city!
google avatar

Victoria G.

Yelp
Food 7/10 Honestly, the food was a little underwhelming. We ordered the cabbage, peking duck, and pork soup dumplings. When I mean a little underwhelming, I mean the best dish was the cabbage we ate it right up. The soup dumpling skins were too thick and lacked soup, felt very store bought clumsily made. The peking duck was not tender and the skin wasn't the right ratio of crisp to soft. Atmosphere 8/10 Very big inside, plenty of tables. I like their Flushing location a lot more though. Pretty standard Chinese elevated decor. Service 7/10 Nice service :)

Yelp
My brother had hyped up Jiang Nan as his favorite restaurant in the city for the last few months, so of course this was one of the first stops during our visit. The restaurant was clean and quiet with a few tables occupied when we arrived on a Tuesday night. We were seated immediately and ordered a few drinks for the table. For food, we ordered: half peking duck, smoked pork neck meat, pork belly with mashed garlic sauce, preserved ham fried rice, deep fried eel with chilis, and the stir fried string beans with minced pork. I can honestly say every single dish was so fresh and delicious, we cleaned every plate and left nothing. The standout for me was definitely the fried eel with chilis and the peking duck. The eel is hard to find and even harder to perfect in flavor and texture. It had a slightly sweet and savory taste with the perfect amount of spicy fried goodness that will leave you wanting more. The peking duck is one of their most famous dishes and it did not disappoint. The ratio of fat to meat was perfect and it was so easy to eat. Portions were decent for the price, which was also reasonable for the quality of the food. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We were given bag hangers since we had done some shopping earlier that day and it came in handy without taking up much space. Would easily go back for more and to try other dishes on their menu. They really know how to do Chinese food right and I know I'll be dreaming of the food until I go back to the city again.
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
Great upscale Chinese place worth the price. Truly family style with a vast menu and great flavors. We had many dishes but the walnut shrimp stood out, stir fried cabbage (good smokey flavor), and fried eel stir fry dish (forgot the name) was great. Will come back as one of my top favorites.
google avatar

Laura R.

Yelp
Excellent quality food. When they say something's spicy, trust them. The chili shrimp was not spicy and very good, and the latte chicken was like a dessert it was so sweet. We asked for a cold refreshing dessert after the spicy fish and they recommended two things. Both were gelatinous, one with fruit and one with truffles, and not for everyone based on the texture. Five people with 2 drinks was easily over $300.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for a nice dinner while staying in the Lower East Side. Had to walk a little bit further from our hotel in the cold to get here, but boy was it worth it. My boyfriend and I split several appetizers and one entrée and none of it was disappointing. We started with cocktails which were lovely. We ordered a variety of dumplings and egg rolls to start, but the standout was the mincemeat green beans. They were probably my favorite thing that I ate on our entire trip!

Yelp
This is by far my favorite chinese place in the city! They have locations in Chinatown and in Flushing - I've been to both (in the span of a 2 week period), and they did not disappoint. I personally couldn't taste a huge difference between the two locations, though I know I've heard of people saying that the Flushing location is more authentic. The restaurant's a great place to host large parties: it's super spacious and has a refined ambiance. Every time I come here, I get the peking duck. This is a must!! This is their flagship dish, and while they do sometimes sell out, you can preorder the duck ahead of time on the phone to guarantee that they'll have it! They give you steamed buns and a bunch of toppings to eat the thinly sliced duck with - everything pairs together super nicely and I love the slightly sweet sauce that they provide. I love how the duck isn't too fatty either. They also have a pineapple beer drink which I would recommend getting. I usually hate beer but this honestly just tastes like juice; it's so fruity and they serve it on jug placed in a bed of dry ice! I'd also recommend their cauliflower pork belly, eggplant, pork belly, and walnut shrimp (portion sizes for the walnut shrimp are really tiny though :/).

Yelp
Happened to walk by this restaurant in Chinatown Manhattan New York. ( had to be specific, since I live near San Francisco). It looked out of place because it had a modern facade. Went in and ordered the more popular dishes; Peking duck, soup dumplings, pork belly with garlic and a free crab and shrimp dumplings. The decor was dark but nice to look at( basically black). The kept up restaurant really well. The staff was more than friendly and helpful. My cups of water and tea never even came close to being empty. The waitress was sure to remind us to order another few dollars to get the free dumplings. The food was good. Very good but I don't think I would make a special trip to eat it again. Definitely would come here if I was in the area. Glad I came in for sure! Big plus!! Cleanest bathroom in the area!
google avatar

Kando D.

Yelp
what really sets this restaurant apart is its Peking Duck. A classic dish that demands perfection, their version doesn't disappoint. The duck arrives at your table crisp-skinned and golden brown, its aroma mouthwatering.
google avatar

Jonathan C.

Yelp
A bit disappointed, been wanting to Jiang Nan for the longest time. Peking duck came out cold and resembled roast duck. The skin was not separated from the fat which means they didn't inflate with air. The fish was mediocre on flavor. Only thing that was good was the salted egg tiger shrimp. That's was good. Decor is modern but space is limited. Will not recommend, there are better options.
google avatar

Andy B.

Yelp
Delicious Peking Duck and noodles. Totally recommend coming and it wasn't too busy on the weekend.

Frank T.

Yelp
Wow, Michelin-recognized dishes served elegantly -- Peking Duck, Salted Egg Jumbo Shrimp, Pork Soup Dumpling -- all solid and really fancy delicious! Service was on point right from the start! Definitely returning when back in town!
google avatar

Mary L.

Yelp
We ordered the Peking duck and the duck bone soup. They didn't cut the duck in front of us at this location and it was just served. While the duck was good, we had a small table so we asked the waiter not to serve the soup yet because we had no space. But he insisted on just dishing out the soup even though we told him no. And this place also adds the gratuity based on the after tax price. So beware when you're checking out.
google avatar

Vincent L.

Yelp
Delicious! The sliced beef in golden pepper broth was sooooo good! Very rich and tasty.
google avatar

Sarah X.

Yelp
Reliable place for good quality Chinese food, and would highly recommend if looking for a place that can seat large parties. Some of my favorites are the Peking duck, sliced pork belly w/ garlic and string beans. The free chili oil cabbage they give is also really good. Their pineapple beer was sweet though you can't really taste the beer. It came in a barrel dispenser, and seems worth it for the price (can serve 2+).
google avatar

A.j. L.

Yelp
Food was amazing, probably the best Chinese food I've had. Fantastic atmosphere and the staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend!

Antony P.

Yelp
The Peking duck was cooked well and the spicy lamb along with chicken soup was good too. However my concern was with the other details in the restaurant. We didn't need an iPad to take the order when we needed customization and it was easier to order through the waiters but the biggest concern was the absence of soap in the washroom. This is a health hazard and should be addressed for me to come back here.
google avatar

Andy L.

Yelp
Great experience, great atmosphere and delicious food! Friendly staff who checked on us frequently (but not too much)!) and our water glasses were never less than half full. Extensive menu - you'll order from an digital menu - with photos and detailed descriptions. Lots of options but not over the top. Service was quick and really we enjoyed our time there - very reasonable prices, too!

Grace G.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best places for Peking Duck in the city. If you want the real deal, this is the place to go. Food is great, service is awesome, decor is modern and clean. The Peking duck here is very close to what you will get in China. Almost everything we ordered was great. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Super cute spot with an all black theme aesthetic! Could be casual and date vibes as well! I've been here a few times actually and each time is so good and doesn't disappoint! My go to orders is always the pineapple beer which comes in a cool container with dry ice and you can just pour it out but the cups are very itty bitty. For food wise I always get the Peking duck here because they give you gloves and a wipe and the diy set up is so cute! Definitely get the pork belly with garlic cause that is crack and get the whole steam fish if you are feeling seafood or just want to eat white rice with sauce that goes so well with it. Also highly recommend the seafood udon and the shrimp with salted egg yolk! There's a lot of stuff on the menu and everything has been soo good!
google avatar

Linan C.

Yelp
This place absolutely lives up to their Michelin star. My favorites are: fried milk, fried mochi, mouth watering chicken, Peking duck, hawthorn pork belly, and osmanthus fermented rice latte! Everything else we ordered were also great but I just don't love sweet and sour sauce! My party loves sweet and sour and they said the sweet and sour shrimp and fish were also amazing!!! The hanger steak and the sliced bbq pork were great for presentation but not amazing. The server was also super friendly and helpful with recommendations! The place looks lovely as well! I cannot wait to be back!
google avatar

Yelp
The food is exceptional--authentic flavors that really stand out. I highly recommend the Pecking Duck. The atmosphere is vibrant yet cozy, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. The service was also top-notch--friendly and efficient. And did I mention the free drinks for NYU Students? It's the perfect addition to an already fantastic dining experience. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Yelp
Pretty decent tasting food. Heard it was a michelin rated restaurant so of course we had to check it out. The food overall was decent, some of the items on the menu were a little strange and did not taste the way we expected. The more popular items seemed to be the peking duck and the grilled fish. We got the picked veggies with grilled fish which was absolutely gigantic. The soup that came with it was great for mixing with a bowl of rice. Besides the fish, the pork belly with cucumber was also pretty good. Other items like soup dumplings, shredded potatoes, eggplant, smoked pork neck were kind of a miss. Service wasn't that great either. It took us 30 minutes before a waiter came to take our order, after the initial waiter walked away and didn't come back with someone else 10 minutes later.

Yelp
My friend and I picked Jiang Nan to have lunch at on a Friday. When we walked in, I was glad we'd come because it looked like the perfect place to have a leisurely lunch and catch up with a friend. We walked in at 12 pm and were seated immediately. There was one table of diners inside already at this time and more came after. The ambiance here is dark and elegant. The prices are average for NYC but it feels like a good spot to have a nice meal where you can sit for awhile, drink tea and linger. The menu at Jiang Nan focuses on Shanghainese cuisine, with a mixture of vegetables, seafood, meat, dumplings, noodle and rice dishes. My friend and I ordered just three dishes which was enough to fill us, but we ordered two fried dishes and in hindsight, I wish we hadn't done this because I was left with a very heavy feeling. Our dishes included the crab and pork dumplings, spicy bull frog and the fried prawns with salted egg yolk. The fried prawns and the crab and pork dumplings were the standouts. The spicy bull frog was not bad but not amazing. The service was professional and efficient, we had everything we needed as soon as we needed it. I'd recommend Jiang Nan if you're looking for a Shanghainese restaurant with a slightly nicer environment in Chinatown.

Yelp
We had the half duck and walnut honey shrimp. Duck was very good, the Walnut honey shrimp was tasty but a bit too sweet. They have a really extensive menu with a lot of items that I would want to try. Service was very good.

Yelp
The food is more like a 3.5/5 but the service was 5/5. I think it's a wonderful place to bring your parents/in-laws if you're sick of eating at the regular Chinese restaurants. The atmosphere here is really nice, and service is superrr attentive. In fact, so attentive that the moment one of us dropped our chopsticks and bent down to retrieve it, the waiter had appeared with new chopsticks! I don't think the food is overall amazing, but it's definitely solid aside from one dish, but I'll get to that later. The highlight was the grilled fish. You pick your fish (we got the sea bass), pick the sauce (we opted for tomato broth because the in-laws can't eat spicy) and the vegetable add-ons set. Depending on your fish and add-on's, this dish will cost you in the $60+ range, but I assure you, the fish is pretty big! The fish is fried first before it gets placed in the broth. It's also served with a flame that will continue to let the fish simmer as you eat, so it'll always be piping hot yumm. The tomato broth is very rich and tomato-y, goes well with the fish. Next time I would love to add some other meats to this. Pork Belly: this was probably my next favorite. Very simple, didn't taste too fatty, and liked the chili oil. Sizzling Lamb: it comes with a flame show! Flavors were fine, but for the price, there was hardly any lamb and mostly just veggies. Shrimp Garlic Vermicelli: while I loved the flavors for this one, unfortunately the shrimp was very overcooked and mushy, so couldn't enjoy as much. Finally, the one dish that we couldn't eat was the sauteed crab meat. It's presented in the very cute crab dishes. What we didn't realize was that the waiter will mix this dish for you - we didn't know this was going to happen, but I'm sure we could've asked to mix it ourselves, which is what you should do! It comes with such a potent side of vinegar that they poured and mixed into the rice and crab sauce. In the end, instead of tasting crab, we were left with pungent vinegar rice. They really just over-did it. Really didn't need to vinegar - ruined the almost $30 dish for us :( I'm sure I would've enjoyed the crab sauce by itself.

Yelp
Came here with my mom for a lunar new year celebration and was sadly disappointed by the food :( Overall, high prices but mediocre quality food. The ambience and service is phenomenal however! The okra appetizer dish tasted extremely bland and raw. Paled in comparison to the same dish at Uluh. The pork XLB were good but did not impress my Shanghainese mom's palate and only had 4 per order. The eel was sweet and tasty but not properly prepared before cooking as we could taste the small bones with every bite. Finally the cumin lamb had a spectacular fiery presentation which was very impressive! Lots of onions that bulked up the bottom of the dish and a very very heavy cumin flavor.

Yelp
Quality food & great ambiance. I loved starting with the Chicken and Fish Maw Soup, it's definitely a hearty dish that reminded me of home. The order is quite small, but we were able to share enough between two people. The Peking Duck was beautifully served and the half order was just the right amount for two people. If you order more than $30, you get the free soup dumplings (but in all honesty, the soup dumplings were what brought down this rating). Nothing super outstanding, but also nothing super disappointing.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with my friend and we ordered the seafood stir fry udon and half a Peking duck to share. The seafood udon was delicious. Stir fried perfectly in that it was not too heavy or oily. The proportion of seafood to udon was just right which is a plus for me. The Peking duck was roasted very well. The skin is crispy and the duck is tasty. Also love the side of pineapple that was included on the platter. This is definitely a great spot for dinner or lunch with friends if you're in the mood for really good Szechuan/Chinese food. They have a great selection of both spicy and non spicy dishes so there is something for everyone. The service is also excellent as our staff was attentive and brought the dishes out to us pretty quickly.

Yelp
Came here for a friend's birthday with a large group and ordered most of popular dishes. We really enjoyed the Peking duck and the pineapple beer in particular. Good for big parties, tho be warned they do close at 9pm.
