The food is more like a 3.5/5 but the service was 5/5. I think it's a wonderful place to bring your parents/in-laws if you're sick of eating at the regular Chinese restaurants. The atmosphere here is really nice, and service is superrr attentive. In fact, so attentive that the moment one of us dropped our chopsticks and bent down to retrieve it, the waiter had appeared with new chopsticks!
I don't think the food is overall amazing, but it's definitely solid aside from one dish, but I'll get to that later.
The highlight was the grilled fish. You pick your fish (we got the sea bass), pick the sauce (we opted for tomato broth because the in-laws can't eat spicy) and the vegetable add-ons set. Depending on your fish and add-on's, this dish will cost you in the $60+ range, but I assure you, the fish is pretty big! The fish is fried first before it gets placed in the broth. It's also served with a flame that will continue to let the fish simmer as you eat, so it'll always be piping hot yumm. The tomato broth is very rich and tomato-y, goes well with the fish. Next time I would love to add some other meats to this.
Pork Belly: this was probably my next favorite. Very simple, didn't taste too fatty, and liked the chili oil.
Sizzling Lamb: it comes with a flame show! Flavors were fine, but for the price, there was hardly any lamb and mostly just veggies.
Shrimp Garlic Vermicelli: while I loved the flavors for this one, unfortunately the shrimp was very overcooked and mushy, so couldn't enjoy as much.
Finally, the one dish that we couldn't eat was the sauteed crab meat. It's presented in the very cute crab dishes. What we didn't realize was that the waiter will mix this dish for you - we didn't know this was going to happen, but I'm sure we could've asked to mix it ourselves, which is what you should do! It comes with such a potent side of vinegar that they poured and mixed into the rice and crab sauce. In the end, instead of tasting crab, we were left with pungent vinegar rice. They really just over-did it. Really didn't need to vinegar - ruined the almost $30 dish for us :( I'm sure I would've enjoyed the crab sauce by itself.
