It’s been less than two months since the tragic incident here, and to be honest, I hesitated before deciding to come back. But the sweltering summer heat called for something cold and grounding—and when it comes to 평양냉면, 진미평양냉면 still remains one of the very best.
The moment I took my first sip of the icy, clean broth, I was reminded of why this place has such a loyal following. The flavors are subtle yet deep—cool, earthy, and refreshing in a way that’s hard to put into words unless you’ve had truly good 평양냉면 before. The noodles have just the right bounce, and together with the broth, they create a balance that’s both comforting and cooling.
I also ordered the 만두, which I honestly think is one of the most underrated items here. Each dumpling is generously filled and delicately seasoned, with a soft, almost pillowy texture. It’s the perfect companion to the 냉면—filling, but never heavy.
Coming back felt a little emotional, but the food reminded me why this place continues to matter to so many. It’s more than just a restaurant—it’s part of the city’s culinary memory. Still one of my favorites.
