Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings

"This bistro in the heart of Old Bellevue has a huge dining area and an expansive menu to match. Jocovine serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with entrees like huevos rancheros and ratatouille. They’ve also got a whole wall of wine on display (because what's a Bellevue restaurant without that). And regulars have the option to store their favorite bottles in personalized wine lockers with engraved nameplates—how fancy. " - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, gabe guarente

16 Seattle Spots to Enjoy Bombay Sapphire Sparkling Lemon This Summer | Eater

"Chef Adrian Lopez created the name of this restaurant by combining two things he loves: his neighborhood in Mexico City and the grapevines that make wine. When it opens in July, the restaurant will incorporate both those themes, with Mexican trees brightening the decor and wine-friendly foods served throughout the day. The drink menu complements the bistro-style food (think sandwiches, pastas, and salads) served throughout the day and gets diners prepared for the evening events, including music, salsa dancing, and comedy nights." - Vox Creative

Amazing date night at Jocovine in the heart of Old Bellevue! Salads were delicious and hearty. The eggplant Parmesan was decadent. And the seared tuna was as good as I’ve had in the area. My wife loved her chicken salad too. Buzz atmosphere on a Friday night with live music and many couples on dates. Absolute gem of a restaurant! Will be back soon!

came at 6pm, was pretty empty. we had kids so they seated us in the back away from the other tables (which we preferred). hostess was great. started to get very busy which I think caused the food to come out slow and had to go to the front to ask for the check. not a huge deal. food was quite good. would definitely recommend the fries, beat salad, and Bolognese. the calamari was good, the aoli that came with it really made it. was impressed by the sliced fried chilis in the calamari dish. the veal was OK, I'd get something else if I come again. cocktail tasted good but didn't feel like there was actually much drink there - lots of ice. overall, I do plan to come back

From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was something special. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting — elegant without feeling pretentious. You can feel the care and thought that’s gone into every detail, from the décor to the music to the way the staff greets you. The service was outstanding. Every person we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They didn’t just take our order — they made sure we felt welcome and cared for the entire time. And the food… wow. Every dish tasted fresh and perfectly balanced. You can tell the chefs truly know their craft — everything from the presentation to the flavors was top-notch. The [insert your favorite dish here — e.g., “truffle pasta” or “braised short ribs”] was absolutely unforgettable, and the dessert was the perfect finishing touch. What really sets Jocovine Bistro apart is the authenticity — it doesn’t feel like they’re trying too hard; it feels like they love what they do and want you to love it too. It’s rare to find a place that combines great food, excellent service, and genuine warmth, but this bistro nails it. Can’t recommend it enough. Whether it’s a date night, a celebration, or just treating yourself to something special, Jocovine Bistro is the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again.

A great dining experience with live music on the weekends. Modern interiors with a cool bar and vibe. I’m pescatarian and they had a good selection. My favorite dish was the seafood pasta. So fresh and even if it hate cream it wasn’t drenched the seafood taste rises above. The ceviche appetizers were good. Medina came for the tomahawk steak which tired ordered in advance. It looked really tender and flavorful. The dessert - baileys with vanilla ice cream. Or was so good I forgot to take the pic!

I have been a regular here for the past few months, and this place has truly become an amazing spot to hang out! The ambiance is beautiful, and everyone here is incredibly nice. The music is fantastic, and the food is delicious. The last time I came in for dinner with my girlfriend there was a completely new menu so I wanted to update my review from our dinner last night! We ordered the tagliatelle bolognese, acqua pazza, and spaghetti de mare. I was thoroughly impressed. My two favorites were the tagliatelle bolognese and acqua pazza. The bolognese is incredibly flavorful, packed with beef and pork. The acqua pazza is a large filet of halibut in one of the best sauces I’ve ever tasted. It was served on a bed of rice that soaked up the sauce, and I savored every grain! The spaghetti de mare was also delicious, with calamari, prawns, and clams on in one dish! I have a new favorite cocktail as well: Andrea’s Tequila Sour. It’s a delightful mix of blackberry, guava, and tequila, and it was incredible. I’ve only visited on weekdays so far, but I just learned they have live music on the weekends! My girlfriend and I will definitely be back for the live music and tequila sours!

TWO off-the-signature-cocktails would total $60 before tax and tip? Be warned if you wander off the preset cocktail menu with prices up to $20, you can end up with a $26 Manhattan and $34 Vesper Martini. Ask for pricing before you order a cocktail off-menu! Or better yet, the bartender gives the heads up on the premium pricing for mid-shelf liquor. Note: this is a bar review only

While Bellevue has many eating establishments to choose from, it's really of a question of whether its a place you'd elect to visit again after having given it a try. Jocuvine has been open for a few months now, and we decided to give ot a try. Decor is modern, and while initially you think it's a tight, cozy space, you realize that there is a whole back room that looks like it can acomodate a large party of a dozen or more. For the menu it looks like its adapted from Italia with the pasta but there's also ratatouille and pan roasted chicken and ceviche and dungeness crab cakes, so I guess there's local favorites on the menu too. The cioppino was ok. The fish was perfectly poached and the clams & prawns were tender not rubbery. The broth was a relatively simple tomato soup that may have been made more interesting were herb or aromatic flavors added. The Negroni was well mixed if not a touch too sweet. At least it was strong. Would I repeat? Well, if it were the selected destination of a group outing I would not protest.
