The Best New Cocktail Bars in New Orleans

"Jolie, formerly a World of Beer tavern, has been transformed into a warm, inviting lounge with an old-world European vibe, thanks to the careful work of local tastemakers Kiah Darion (Bar Marilou) and Will Lester (Longway Tavern). Chefs Indigo “Soul” Martin and Adrian Martinez offer a menu of shareable plates with French influences (think foie gras toast, tempura frog legs, beef carpaccio), and the cocktails lean into juicy notes of passionfruit, lemon, and even honeycrisp apple, adding flair with intricate tools like atomizers, eye droppers, and blow torches. Keep an eye on Jolie’s calendar for live music, DJs, and a monthly “Cirque de Jolie” lineup of performers." - Clair Lorell, Eater Staff

Where to Eat Brunch in New Orleans Right Now

"Jolie is the Warehouse District’s chicest new destination for over-the-top cocktails and elegant French-inspired small plates with a side of entertainment. It’s now serving Sunday brunch, too, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a concise but enticing menu of dishes like eggs Florentine; breakfast poutine; a pork belly grits Hangover Bowl; goat cheese frittata; and waffle board with apple butter, strawberry jam, dulce de leche, and Italian meringue." - Eater Staff

The 14 Hottest New Restaurants in New Orleans, July 2024

"A stylish new lounge and restaurant landed in the Warehouse District at the end of December, with food and drink from a talented set of local tastemakers (Kiah Darion from Bar Marilou and Will Lester from Longway Tavern on drinks, and for food, Indigo “Soul” Martin, who ran pop-up Indigo Soul Cuisine, and Adrian Martinez, former chef de cuisine at Sylvain). Jolie transformed a former World of Beer into an unrecognizable lounge with a sexy, old-world European feel that hosts live music, DJs, and a monthly “Cirque de Jolie” lineup of performers. The food menu is mostly made of shareable plates with a French flair, like escargot, foie gras toast, tempura frog legs, bone marrow, and beef carpaccio, and extravagant cocktails utilize tools like atomizers, eye droppers, and blow torches." - Clair Lorell, Justine Jones

15 First-Rate Restaurants Near the New Orleans Convention Center

"One of the city’s most stylish lounges landed in the Warehouse District late last year, bringing a sexy, old-world feel to a former beer bar on Julia Street. Jolie is all about atmosphere and cocktails, a lineup of extravagant tipples utilizing tools like atomizers, eye droppers, and blow torches, occasionally incorporating a dash of glitter or other accouterments — like the French 75 with a small baggie filled with pop rocks attached to the glass rim. Come here for live music, DJs, and occasional “Cirque de Jolie” lineup of performers including sword swallowers and acrobats. The food menu is mostly made of elegant shareable plates with a French flair, like escargot, foie gras toast, tempura frog legs, bone marrow, and beef carpaccio." - Beth D'Addono, Clair Lorell

Three Exciting Restaurant Openings Hit New Orleans Just in Time for New Year’s - Eater New Orleans

"A stylish new lounge and restaurant landed in the Warehouse District last week, opened by a trio of British-born restaurateurs (Dallas-based brothers Chris and Mark Beardon and Andrew Duncan in New Orleans). They’ve recruited a talented set of local tastemakers for Jolie’s food and drink, an exciting group that includes Kiah Darion from Bar Marilou and Will Lester from Longway Tavern on the drinks side, and for food, Indigo “Soul” Martin, who formerly ran his pop-up Indigo Soul Cuisine, and Adrian Martinez, who worked as chef de cuisine at Sylvain. Jolie has transformed a distinctly sports bar-like space (World of Beer) into an unrecognizable, furniture and carpet-laden lounge with a sexy, old-world European feel. The food, drinks, and entertainment are all designed to be equally transportive, with live music, DJs, and a monthly “Cirque de Jolie” lineup of performers including sword swallowers and acrobats. Extravagant cocktails utilize tools like atomizers, eye droppers, and blow torches, occasionally incorporating a dash of glitter or other accouterments — Jolie’s version of a French 75 comes with a small baggie attached to the glass rim, filled with Pop Rocks to be dissolved in the bubbly drink. The food menu is mostly made of shareable plates with a French flair, like escargot, foie gras toast, tempura frog legs, bone marrow, and beef carpaccio." - Clair Lorell

Google
This place had a vibe! It was my first time going and met a couple of friends there at 8:30. It wasn’t too busy at first but then around 10, it started getting packed. The music was good, a bit loud if you’re trying to chat. The drinks were on point & the staff were great! Highly recommend

Emem Ifon

Google
Dope atmosphere with a cool vibe, eclectic seating and settling ambiance. Food is just enough as you try their specialty cocktails (some traditional with a unique twist). Hostess and staff are very accommodating. Nice place for conversation and kickback

Kamaye Wint-Pardo

Google
The vibe was so relaxing & the seats were very comfortable, including the bar stools. The bartender was extremely knowledgeable about the drinks & his recommendations were on point. We had prior reservations for dinner, so we did not stay long, but I'm looking forward to coming back here on our next visit to the Big Easy.

Google
It is a great place to meet up and have a drink or two. We splurged and got the caviar and the steak tartar. Both were delicious. The drink and food menu are a bit adventurous, so go to try new things.

Anastasia

Google
The atmosphere is very cozy while the decor is sophisticated and eclectic. Comfortable seating, whether you are at a table or a booth. Nice glassware. Cocktails were pretty good but I wouldn’t say they’re anything spectacular for the price point. Ordered an appetizer of fries to snack on and they took quite a while to come out despite it not being very busy. Service was friendly. All things considered, Jolie is well worth a visit.

Karla Ortega

Google
Atmosphere very nice $46 for a beer and espresso martini seems high. Waitress not very nice. When we asked for check they were picking up our table to put us out. Picked up my martini, wasn’t finished. I will never go back. Hope they don’t last long. It’s a nice building. Maybe someone nice will be there next. Jolie needs to go, whoever the hell she is.

Google
Jolie isn’t just a gorgeous, high-end lounge—it’s a whole vibe. From the chic lighting to the stylish crowd, this spot oozes cool sophistication. But let me tell you… the burger? Way more than an afterthought. The burger was juicy, beautifully seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Nestled inside a toasted multigrain bun, it was layered with crisp arugula, a thick slice of tomato, house pickles, and a melted blanket of sharp cheese that brought everything together in one decadent bite. Each ingredient felt intentional, fresh, and elevated. And then came the fries—golden, crisp, and tossed with what tasted like truffle oil and herbs. Absolutely addictive. The real kicker, though? That aioli dipping sauce. Creamy, tangy, and rich, it took both the burger and fries to another level. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers an upscale lounge experience and a burger that holds its own among the city’s best, Jolie hits the mark.

Google
The atmosphere at Jolie is very upbeat and exciting. The decor is nice, it is obvious that a lot of money has been invested here. The food is good and the menu is varied. We had two servers and one was great, the other acted as though she did not want to be there. Unfortunate as this would be an easy five star without her.

Yelp
If you want to impress your friends and start the night off right, go here. I'm the "go-to" amongst my friend group for sophisticated vibes and if I were trying to impress someone, I would start here. The vibe is immaculate. The decor, ambiance and crowd gives I'm grown, I'm sexy, and I'm trying to enjoy my night. This is described as a cocktail lounge and it reigns true to its title with the detailed cocktail menu. I LOVE the unique names and unique drinks. I had like 4-5 rounds of drinks here. I had 3 rounds of the strawberry lemon drop (I know I'm a basic Nola girl), but let me tell you!!! This was the best strawberry lemon drop I ever had! It was so well balanced and not overly sweet! I had an espresso martini shot (obvious reasons, have to stay up), and the drink that literally knocked me off my feet; meow meow . She needs no introduction. Feeling sexy? Get it. You won't get drunk off of her, but you will be feeling yourself. I also enjoyed small bites tuna crudo and New Orleans frog legs and OMG was not expecting small bites to be that good. They are an amazing choice. I reserved a table and I definitely recommend because it gets busy at night. My server was amazing and he is the one who recommended me meow meow. I thoroughly enjoyed my night and did not feel rushed. This will be a go to spot for me.

Yelp
Can I just say I am so jelly we do not have a concept like this in my city! It's like a speakeasy, but not! The vibe was a little sultry and mysterious! The aesthetic was mind blowing. I was to just forever veg there. The cocktail menu was swanky and not overwhelming. The chocolate city happened to be my favorite of last nights options. The freshly grated chocolate was a fun touch! I loved the way it lingered after each sip! I wish I would have gotten to enjoy the space more and maybe try the food, but another time will present itself!

Yelp
My most recent visit to Jolie was a step up from the first! This is definitely the place to be for good drinks and classy vibes on a Saturday night. I was there with a group of 5 and seven though we walked in at a crowded time, the host was so gracious to let us hang at the bar for about 15 minutes before our table was ready. Our server was sweet and helpful when it came to choosing our drinks. The DJ was particularly good that night and we really enjoyed just hanging out.
google avatar

Yelp
Great, intimate spot on Julia St. to grab a cocktail on a date or with friends. This was our first visit to Jolie and we will definitely be back. We went at night and it's very dark (yes I had to use my phone light to see the menu) but it gives a cozy, intimate vibe. The cocktails were delicious and strong.

Yelp
Such a vibe! Awesome cocktail bar in an unexpected location, away from the loud crowded downtown area. Great cocktails, really experienced bartenders, swanky lounging area, and actually really good food; they even have some late night options. This feels like a New York style nightclub in all the right ways, and it's a great place for an after dinner cocktail or a fancy date night.
google avatar

Jenteel P.

Yelp
Elegant! Ooooo this place is sexy! The ambiance is incredible, great for a date night. My review is only for the drinks since we didn't have food. We arrived at about 10:30pm on New Year's Day and it was one of the few places open. Our bartender was super sweet and made a few recommendations. We stayed for about and hour and listened to the smooth playlist. We planned to come back because they have a dj on Friday night but didn't get a chance to make it.

Yelp
Loved this place!! The drinks were so amazing! And the snacks were perfect! It's very vibey and I loved the artwork. The service was a little so so. But still mostly good!

Yelp
I was in a cocktail mood. So why not the cocktail Cuisine ET Cocktails right?? After trying to find a reasonable parking spot (parking around this area is sack tbh! So just a heads up! This is at 4 something in the the evening by the way) WARNING! This is only the bar and drinks rating. I did not try any food. (Carry on if interested in the rest of my drinking libations content) The atmosphere is so chilled. Very dark but yet exquisitely decorated with the choice of decor. The feel of the furniture let me know I was going to have a stable dining experience. The live music gives the spot the extra flair. How could you not have a live music experience when spending big money in a chilled atmosphere dedicated to an upscale drinking experience. I enjoyed it. I had no clue what the entertainers were playing but it was so enjoyable and added to the drinking experience! I'm a big Margarita fan. I did not see my choice of cocktail on the cocktail menu so I decided to throw a curve ball to my bartender. I was in a Margarita mood. Jonni the bartender let me know that she is a Margarita maker expert and let me just say she was not lying. I got a simple Margarita that was not in the menu and she handcrafted that bad boy as if it was. It has simple ingredients but yet it packs such a powerful punch. It wasn't too sweet and it was not too tart. It was just right! Thanks to the bartender Jonni! The espresso martini Is A nice delicious one to try as well! Its so smooth but yet so rich! It honestly did not taste like it had vodka in it and I dislike vodka. Overall if i can find parking I'm back here. It was cool.

Yelp
Absolutely exquisite cocktails, a beautiful and pleasant dimness within yet enormous windows to the intriguing architecture that surrounds where Jolie is planted. Staff is educated, polite, knowledgeable and eager to respectfully and helpfully engage. Come here for a cocktail if you are anywhere near the convention center, Fulton street or the casino.

Yelp
Usually I love Jolie but this past Sunday I went for brunch and didn't have the best experience. The brunch wasn't much to brag about but also the food wasn't warm. We were allow to order potatoes just to find out they actually didn't have them once we received the rest of our food. Service was pretty slow. The breakfast bowl was good but overall I wasn't crazy about the brunch nor the service we received. Loved their cocktails per usual.

Yelp
I've never had a bad time at Jolie! The ambiance is very nice, and the vibe is usually right. Depending on the night/occasion, the music is good also. For food, I've had the steak frites and it was delicious, I was impressed considering this isn't a full restaurant. Jolie is somewhere I'd highly recommend for a good time, though it can easily become packed, the experience is pretty worth it.
google avatar

Alise G.

Yelp
Jolie is a newly opened fine dining restaurant. The atmosphere is romantic and the design of the restaurant is just stunning. I came here with a large group, the service was good and the food was amazing. My favorites on the menu were the duck poutine, caviar deviled eggs and the escargot. I would've loved dessert to finish our experience here unfortunately it's coming soon. I highly recommend coming here for a date night, anniversary or birthday celebration.
google avatar

Darcy D.

Yelp
When we first walked in, we had very high hopes. The music was great. The decor is fantastic. The menu was small, but good. The service, however, was lacking. When we were ready to order, the server disappeared for quite a while. Once we finally ordered, we didn't see our waiter again until after the food, water, and wine was gone and a bus boy stopped by to ask why my friend hadn't eaten the gnocchi and if he could box anything up. It wasn't busy, and I saw our waiter at other tables. I'm honestly not sure what happened. The gnocchi was creamy, but not super flavorful. The oyster mushroom steak was pretty good. Overall, it has a great vibe, but it leaves something to be desired. I've had better food and service at smaller restaurants on the other side of town.

Yelp
My husband and wedding guests came here right after my wedding for an impromptu wedding after party! This place is so vibey and high class, very welcoming and inviting place for any occasion. I had a glass of Rosé and chatted the night away with my friends on how good my wedding turned out. Love this place!
google avatar

Alesia A.

Yelp
Jolie is so such a sexy vibe. I love it. The lights were dim the DJ was setting the mood and the food!! Omg, the food was amazing. I got the duck poutine fries and it was too good. I went for my friend's birthday and they sat us in a room that was so nice. All of the servers that helped us out were really sweet and they gave us a birthday shot for our girl!
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
What a sexy bar with epic drinks! We felt as if we stepped into another world! Service was top notch and the music was the vibe.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Beautiful bar! The bar gives you old Victorian vibes with the sofa like seating with decorative pillows and the paintings through out the walls. The dimmed lighting adds to the romantic yet classy mood. The drink menu is not only extensive but very creative. I don't even remember the names of our cocktails just that each was delicious and that it had a great presentation! I just wish the servers were more attentive because I would have ordered more cocktails, but unfortunately they were difficult to flag down. Regardless, still recommend!
google avatar

Felix P.

Yelp
Wonderful Vibe!! Brand new place and maybe they had some kinks to work out (hence the one poor review I saw), however our experience was excellent. The food, the service and the cocktails were all fantastic! Somewhat related, I never trust a review that poorly rates a location because they had to wait!! If it wasn't popular, you wouldn't have to wait! If there is no wait, possibly the product is subpar! People should apply logic and take a deep breath before eating a place poorly!

Carley W.

Yelp
Expect not to get your drink for 45+ minutes while you watch the bartenders joke and talk to each other. Food isn't bad, but there's absolutely no rush, mind you when it's not crowded at all. Service is slow. I wasted my night here.

BG A.

Yelp
Nice cocktail lounge with very good food! https://blainerestaurantreport.com/2024/09/28/jolie-new-orleans-la-report-745/

Yelp
I don't know - it's easy on the eyes (very dark & romantic in that faux French way) and the cocktails make for amazing Instagram pics, but the actual quality of the three drinks we ordered was disappointing- we didn't finish them and we left after those without trying anything further We were really looking forward to it- we came on my daughter's birthday (who has the same name as the establishment) - were in the biz so it was also disappointing that they didn't recognize the celebration (noted in the rez) In our biz, you comment on the occasion (or else, why even ask?) because it leads to $$$ when you "suggest" or highlight the menu's items appropriate for a special celebration None of that- very nice hostess and waitress but barely spoke- no suggestions or explanations other than "sorry you waited" We had one n/a cocktail: espresso martini which seemed like cold espresso really The other two: Glitter & Ethereal Glitter: (see pic for ingredients) had the worst burning smell on the top (?) very strange- and of all its ingredients, it tasted so muddled To be fair, I knew in advance that they were mixing Averna (which is more of a bittersweet herbal & orange taste) with all spice and pumpkin notes- imo those are opposed- and then threw toasted coconut in there as well so idk what I expected, but I was curious Ethereal is a little more successful- it presents like a Ramos gin fizz (visually) but lacks much taste And these were very expensive cocktails for Nola- if you price on the higher end in Nola, where the food/drink game is so deep, you'd better produce a stunner For equally impressive aesthetic but much better cocktails at this price point, there's Peacock Room, for example Jolie is new so I'd expect better next round but it's a hard sell in this town

Catherine A.

Yelp
Had to give one star because 0 wasn't an option. My friends went here on Friday Nov 8 for a friend birthday and had a less than desirable experience. 1. The wait staff ate the remainder of a cake that my friend, who also owns a small cake business, made and still had the audacity to charge us $30 for bringing our own cake. They served us tiny slices of our OWN cake, then refused to give us the remainder of the it to later tell us they actually ate it. Then, had the nerve to tell us the cake was really good? 2. After the fact, they charged my credit card $900 for a $500 check and have yet to return any of my calls or emails. This is unacceptable and completely classless for an established business to act in this way. Terrible customer service, no one is responding to me about this serious matter and will not help me to get this resolved. Do not recommend anyone to go to this establishment unless you want to front a bill $1000 more than what you actually owe!
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
Sat at the bar when most other spots were closed on a Thursday evening. Attentive bartender and very creative cocktails. The Verdant is HUGE - took away any reservations I had about the price.
google avatar

Maggie W.

Yelp
Where do I even start? Food 1/10 | Service 0/10 |Ambiance 1/10 - the music didn't fit the aesthetics and felt like I was in a Brazilian club. This business is not run well at all. Don't even get me started as someone who's worked in restaurants for over twenty years. This place won't last long. Don't make a reservation and expect to be say when you arrive. I waited over 35 minutes to be sat and was told "it'll be ten minutes" by the host when I arrived. Once 25 minutes passed we were offered " a complimentary glass of champagne" for our wait - neither of us drink champagne and this was not sufficient after being lied to about the wait. If I would have been told it was a 30 minute wait - I would have left and went somewhere else but they wasted my time on my honeymoon and possibly served us the worst food we've had all week. Then after being sat by the manager who threw our menus on the table and walked away without saying anything we asked to speak with the manager..we were told "Other people were 30 minutes late for their reservations so it put everyone behind." First mistake. Do you know how to run a reservation table? I'm sorry but if you're more than 15 minutes late to your reservation...your table is gone and you're out at the back of the line. No exceptions. Be on time or lose your spot. Don't impede every other reservation because a few people don't have time management skills. There is no excuse to how poorly this place this run and how it's "doing too much" all together. The food - highly disappointed. Waited 70 minutes just to get "duck poutine" which was 95% fries and little to no gravy, and tasted bland. Ended up leaving early and taking food off the bill that never arrived after two hours of waiting. Hard pass.

Yelp
Jolie is a welcomed new addition and I think they will be around for the long haul. I really like the dark, mysterious vibe. The decor is nice and the bar area is cute. I did not like some of the seating in there. I asked to be moved from the first table we were seated at because it would've just been so awkward attempting to eat at the small table on the very low chair I was in. I had to sit all the way up to be at the table. They were happy to accommodate the move & we were seated at a much better table right by the hostess stand. I will say I probably would've given 5 stars had the service been all the way on point. She completely forgot to come to us for quite a while. I took a long time to get drinks. I ordered a white boulevardier (rye whiskey, suze, chamomile grappa, Cocchi Americano). It was GREAT. I definitely want to get it again. I ordered the savory puff-puff app, which is shrimp, scallion dust, and gribiche. It was good and they were fried beautifully. I really liked the gribiche most. For entrees, we got two steak frites & one signature Jolie burger. I must say the steak was one of the best I've had from a restaurant that is not a steakhouse. It was cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. It had just the right amount of salt and such a nice sear. The Parmesan fries were perfectly fried and seasoned and that garlic aioli was divine. I would dip anything in that any day. There were some cherry tomatoes on the plate as well, which I think were unnecessary and I could've done without. The burger was huge and my friend said it was quite tasty. It certainly looked like it was. It was a good meal and I will certainly return to explore more of both the cocktail and food menus.

Yelp
We stumbled into Jolie, looking for a bite to eat and some drinks and we made the right choice! This place was so gorgeous. The comfy seating and ambient lighting made it feel like we were the only people in the place. They said the kitchen had just closed when we walked in, but our server brought us some amazing fries anyway, and the drinks were delicious and beautifully crafted. I'm sad to have missed out on the full menu but this was one of my favorite spots on our trip, amazing vibes to end the night!

Yelp
Loved the Glitter cocktail and yes pumpkin spice is acceptable year round. It's a cool interior and I hope the place does well!

Yelp
Perfect for a girls night out. The cocktails and bites are amazing. The Duck Poutine hits the soul and made this Canadian girl very happy. Caviar Deviled Egg and bubbles are a great pairing
google avatar

William S.

Yelp
The drinks were amazing, the atmosphere was very nice with a mixed crowd, I would have given 5 stars but the hostess killed that. The bar keep was amazing tho, very polite and attentive on a busy night. My issue with the hostess involved her trying to detour us from coming in, we were told the tables were full which was ok with us, but I asked about just going to the bar and she said the bar was at capacity, she just kept repeating that like a robot . I asked how can she can say the bar is at capacity when people are just coming and going as they order drinks. I specified that we just wanted to grab a drink, she said begrudgingly "well if you want to wait an hour just go ahead". I was like ok and proceeded to the bar, literally got our drinks in less than 5 minutes. To think that hostess almost had us turn away and we would have missed out on these great drinks. Other than the hostess, good times.

Yelp
Great spot, great bartenders. You have to try the devil eggs! Ambiance is real cool, I came in with shorts and a T-shirt with flip flops and I was kinda under dress but that might just be me. Great live music.

Yelp
Just stopped in for a cocktail. As others have commented, ambiance is fantastic. Not particularly busy on a Sunday at 6. Sat at the bar, though would have done one of the cozy little tables with a small group. Drink was fantastic - chose the Structure, which was beautiful, delicious, and unique. Really enjoyed the experience and service was terrific: professional and attentive without rushing at all.

Yelp
If you're looking for unique hand-crafted cocktails and delightful plates to share - look no further than Jolie! This is an elevated lounge not too far from the chaos of Bourbon street with a chill vibe. The interior is cozy, yet chic with comfy chairs and just the right sized tables so you don't feel like you have to yell across a bit table. The way seating is set up makes you feel like you're in your own little corner - barely able to notice others around you. Our waiter - Michael - was phenomenal. He was kind and funny, and even brought us small glasses of bubbles to toast to our friend's birthday! He was able to guide us on drink and food selections, which to me is a sign of a great restaurant when the staff is knowledgeable about the menu. While on the higher side (especially for food), I felt the prices were reasonable for the quality. Every single thing we ate and drank was fabulous. I would definitely return for a special occasion!

Yelp
Nice place in the city for casual meetup for drinks in the warehouse district. Great vibe. Waitresses were attentive. I recommend calling ahead for a booth

Yelp
Food, ambiance, and service is good. It's feel like an authentic French experiment. The drinks are unique which is great. The menu is limited but the food is delicious.
google avatar

Kimberly J.

Yelp
Super cool decor and vibe. Service was okay. Food was a little disappointing and pricey. Happy hour drink choices are very limited. Live music is a nice touch but makes conversations hard. Overall, it's a great idea but not my favorite cocktail lounge. We had fries and the foie gras toast. Fries were small and a little bland. The foie gras mousse was mostly cream so we couldn't taste the food Gras. Wine selection is good overall but very small for happy hour.

Yelp
Had a really nice drink with friends. My favorite was the banana Sazerac. It was really well made. Would recommend that you make a reservation.
google avatar

Meredith S.

Yelp
The atmosphere delivered swanky complete with a songbird serenading the room. The poutine was delicious. However, the shrimp puffs were upsetting. The menu was limited and that left me choosing them. Yuck. Less puff more hush puppy with little to no flavor. At that cost there shouldn't be a wrong choice on the menu. What save them was the perfect manhattan which could have happened anywhere. Sorry to say it folks but there are lots of good choices in NOLA but this wasn't one of them.

Yelp
The ambiance here is incredible, once you step in you actually forget that you're in New Orleans (in a good way). Interior designed to perfection & extremely welcoming for a great night of drinks, music and memories.

Yelp
Phenomenal lay out. It gets busy and you have to wait. Great DJ and once you do get service it's good. Live the vibe and decor.

So much promise here based on the interior and overall vibe potential. Unfortunately the food is very mediocre. Fries were soggy. Steak was not wagyu as advertised and way over done. I ordered the top cocktail on the menu and they were out of one of the juices that comprised the concoction. Very unlikely I would return here except for if drinks only and someone else is paying. Not mad at it, but disappointed since the vibe and interior has so much potential.

Yelp
If you like eating mediocre food in a dark, d-lister "ultra-lounge" with very loud club music playing, this place is for you!

Yelp
I've been to @jolie.neworleans two Fridays in a row now. Let's get into it Con - It's loud. Like the kind of loud where you can't hear the waiter or the people sitting next to you. Pro -Because it's so loud if you're on a date you have to sit close. And this place is definitely a great date night spot. Con - I'm not a huge fan of techno music. I'm not sure if Friday is techno night or if every night is techno but it doesn't seem to match the ambience of the restaurant. Pro - At some point the beat did get to me and I danced a little in my seat ok. The DJ did slide in some Beyoncé and Michael Jackson. Con - Not the best area for parking. Pro - I don't mind walking. Con - You absolutely should never make your date walk far. Solution: Arrive early to allow time to find a park, Uber, or drop your date at the door & ask her to wait inside while you find a park. Con: There are no pictures of the food on the menu or on Instagram. Considering that it's a small menu every food item having a picture online would be great. Pro - All the food I've had so far has been EXCELLENT! The burger, the steak frites, the shrimp puffs, the bone marrow!! The fries are some of the best fries I've had in a while. Pro- The DRINKS!!! THE craft cocktails are definitely crafty. I love that every drink has a description and a picture to show you what glass it is served in. Thanks for this! Pro tip: This is a shareable small plate spot. If you're trying to get full definitely go for the steak frites or burger. All in all I love Jolie.

Yelp
Ambience is top notch. The food and cocktails are amazing, very interesting. A lot to choose from, so any palate should be satisfied. Perfect place for any and every occasion!! Everyone should take into account, it's new and always busy. Yes they are working out kinks with service. It's also not easy finding a dedicated staff, but they're getting better with wait times! You're also paying for CRAFT cocktails.

Yelp
Love the decor and ambiance, really friendly and knowledgeable staff, creative cocktail menu, and the best espresso martini I have ever tasted. Worth going a little off the beaten path to get to, my only regret was not having time to go back!

Yelp
I love everything about Jolie! The food, cocktails, music, vibe are great BUT I just know a man designed the women's bathroom. Every girl I've talked to agrees that the lighting in the bathroom is atrocious. Also for such a cool place and the popularity of "instagramable" bathrooms this one is not it. Also the table service can be reallly bad sometimes. They threw my drink away (which they apologized for) as I was in the bathroom then I spent over 45 min patiently waiting for a new one and after reminding 2 different servers about it I gave up! It could have been a bad night for them which if understandable but sad as I love this place.
