I visited this place a few years ago, and this time I came for dim sum at the invitation of a friend. There’s a spacious parking lot located under the same building as the restaurant, which is convenient. You can take the elevator straight up to the restaurant—if I remember correctly, it was on the second floor. The interior is spacious, and even though we went on a weekday around 1 PM, it wasn’t crowded at all. We enjoyed the food overall, especially the pan-fried turnip cake and stuffed eggplant, which were both nicely done. The Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce was fresh and crisp. However, the service left something to be desired—the server seemed quite indifferent and didn’t smile once. While I would consider returning to try more of the menu, I sincerely hope the service improves, as it affects the overall dining experience.

Google
Dimsum is amazing, the regular menu is alright. The chow mein were uncooked and bordering on crunchy. The tofu is well cooked and tasty

Google
The place isn’t flattering, but food is good and service is decent. I went because I saw online they did carts, but they don’t do them all the time, so you may want to look this up or call. I ordered from the menu on a Saturday after the lunch rush ~2pm

I used to bring my family here all the time. I don't know what happened to this place. But, the food and upkeep went downhill hard. I went here for Dim Sum. The green beans were bland and did not taste fresh. The shrimp ball was rubbery. The restaurant was not clean. We should have just walked out in the beginning.

Free, easy parking in garage. Quick service. Cart dim sum. I’ve done take out before too. Love this spot.

Went here for dinner and ordered fried chicken, fried rice and squid like the times I went to others Chinese restaurants before. Fried rice and chicken was good instead the "Squid Salt and Pepper" was like eating flour, the fried squid was so dry that the squid meat inside was as tough as plastic. I only tried 1 piece and told the staff just letting them know the food wasn't right, and they said that I didn't know it was supposed to be like this. Sorry, I've had this dish at other restaurants more than 10 times. Or your recipe is different, it's ok but it's too dry to swallow and has no seasoning at all. Overall, there are 2 tables only at that time. A table of other guests who looked like the restaurant owner or the restaurant owner's friends were incredibly noisy, laughing and screaming as if the restaurant was empty. So uncomfortable to be there. I paid full price for the food that I don't finish because wouldn't want to deal with it.

Google
Great Dim Sum. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. They helped me order gluten free food safely. They even have gluten free soy sauce. I got cashew chicken and fried rice. Both very tasty. My family had delicious dim sum. All were very pleased.

Google
Very disappointing. We were there after the main rush for dim sum. Staff discouraged ordering from the menu. Pushed what was left on the cart. We tried a couple. The garlic beans were not fresh. The prawn/tofu was cold. Sticky rice very good and a highlight of the meal. Shumai was ok. May give them a second chance when we are back in Seattle but there are so many good places in the International district I’m not sure I would bother.

Yelp
Came here to eat lunch on a weekday. This place still does the dim sum carts. We had tripe, chicken feet, hai gao, spare ribs, shrimp balls. Everything was delicious! The service was great but it was empty.

Yelp
One of few places in my opinion that still serves quality dim sum compared to the rest of Seattle! I've been here many times before but as usual am only doing a review for my food here at this time. For starters, Joyale is located in a mostly empty plaza, with two floors above it dedicated to some extremely tight garage parking. I went here on a Saturday noon in a group of 6 and it wasn't as bustling as I remembered it way back then; in fact it was nearly empty. Perhaps there was some sort of large event that day? Needless to say, we were seated immediately. We ordered the usual stuff like har gow, siu mai, chicken feet, beef tripe, sticky rice in lotus leaves and pig stomach. We also got a rice roll with pork floss, and a dessert with mango pudding inside that I wasn't sure what it was called. Everything's very solid here with a couple of misses in taste, but overall quality is higher than that of some of the other dim sum restaurants in Chinatown like Jade Garden and especially Diamond Bay. For some of the stuff we ordered, the servers would get us a fresh order if the food inside their cart wasn't hot enough. I was surprised that most if not all of our orders were considered large on our order card, so price-wise things did add up fast with our orders. This place is also one of few that I know that still push their dim sum in carts in this state (the others being Ding Feng and Lucky House), so I felt a long-needed nostalgia inside while I was eating. I can actually see what's up front without having to consult their menu and be immediately confused on what something looks like. I can see myself coming back here more often as current dim sum offerings in this state haven't been meeting my expectations lately.

Yelp
I came here as part of a meet up and the event host decided this would be a spacious and accommodating space for that. No reason to think otherwise because that's true. Couple that with a large menu and this should be a great place meet and eat with 6+ people. Right in the International district Joyale is located within a space shared with other businesses including other restaurants, sort of like a mall. We were seated in what looked like a ball room or banquet hall where perhaps a party or occasion would be taking place. You go up to the counter to order, which is understandable, we had 20+ people, it would be confusing to take orders from all the people in attendance, but it would be nice to hear that from one of the staff members. I had to be told by the event host. So, I get to ordering... Joyale is a seafood restaurant primarily, but they have many other Chinese/Asian inspired dishes. I'm pretty leery when it comes to seafood and probably for good reason here. I decide to go with the Chicken with lemon sauce here is my first issue. $1.50 for an additional small bowl of rice?? Maybe this is just me, but why is there an extra charge for rice?? Are all the entrees as is? My chicken would've been just that, a plate of chicken. Boring. That was actually the case even with the rice. Yeah, it helped, but it was still just a mediocre plate of lemon-flavored chicken which looked like it was just drenched in some lemon syrup of some sort. Best thing about it was the portions are large and fairly shareable. When I paid the cashier was like "Aw what no tip?". Food didn't come yet, not even my beer. Begging for tips? Blech. Drinks are limited including Beers. $5 for a corona? yeesh. Then when one of my fellow attendees to the meet up ordered one, the girl taking orders charged her $6, uh what? Do the prices increase as the night goes on? Seriously what is up with that? Certainly, no Joy at Joyale. I don't think I'll find myself back here and I wouldn't recommend you go first time or again.

Yelp
This is where we go for our holiday parties. Always great service, great try have a cash bar for us, and it's a great banquet environment with great food for a very reasonable price. Our organization loves to come here and the free parking lot is an additional bonus. Have your next party here! Thank you to Vince and the group for having us!

Yelp
This hidden gem is on the second floor and in the cut for sure. I wouldn't have know it's here if someone didn't bring me. The beef ho fun was a hit and a must. Soo flavorful and beef was well seasoned. The chef is good at recommending the daily specials. Restaurant is quite empty since it's hidden but overall very clean as well.

Yelp
Food was good (we had the Peking Duck -- savory and solid). Restaurant felt a little dated. Service was great until we had to pay. It took forever! All in all, solid 3.8 starts.

Yelp
Review is for banquet dinner. One of the perks of growing up Chinese is all those big, multi-course banquet dinners, served family-style. The special occasion for us was a mini-family reunion post pandemic, especially with all my extended family seeing our 3yo son in person for the first time. Joyale was recommended by my parents as the place for banquets in Seattle. Good food, and big indoor parking structure, which is essential. My parents no longer frequent Chinatown due to lack of parking and safety concerns. One downside of Joyale's location is no wifi and poor cell signal. So put down the phone and socialize, LOL! A seafood-centric set dinner for four table/ (42 people) runs about $1800 including tip. The food was excellent, so though for me I had to cut down the shellfish dishes due to concerns about gout flareups. Still, I found all the dishes 4 or 5 stars. * Peking Duck is definitely a must-get dish. Love that crispy yet fatty skin with Hoisin sauce. The duck meat is just for bonus points! * Peking spareribs (no pics!) were my other favorite - more sweet than savory, and very juicy, * Shrooms and veggies had that nice savory gravy that was packed with flavor * Everyone raved about the Lobster Noodles - can't go wrong with classic ginger-scallion sauce. * Jellyfish and cold cuts? Yep, a classic appetizer banquet starter but its been years since I had it, so definitely miss the mix of funky textures and flavors. I was a bit busy entertaining the kid and bugging each of my relatives for parenting tips that I forgot what else I ate, LOL! Since it was close to Lunar New Year, we also got a free lion/dragon dance show!

Yelp
This location had many owners/business names throughout the years. I've forgotten about this place until a recent celebration and enjoyed their special 8-course meal. First off, the parking situation. It looks straight outta of action/horror movies where half the lights don't work and it's all dingy. Parking is on an uphill incline so be careful. Thank goodness we got there early cuz by the time we left, surprisingly there was no parking left. We used the elevator to go up and found the restaurant. At that time, they split it up so a wedding was happening on one side and a baby shower the other. Kind of confusing but glad someone mentioned it. The decor and cleanliness isn't the best. I do like that once the food got here, it just kept on going and going. First, the appetizer of cold cuts and jellyfish. It was good. Then sharkfin soup, crispy noodle dish, veggies, honey walnut shrimp, honey ribs, and so on..so much food. I loved it. There were 10 adults at the table and we had some leftovers that we could take home! Love that. I'm sure it cost a pretty penny for sure! Not the most friendliest service but it got the job done. We could hear the karaoke from next door while we dined. The bathroom was rather dirty and looked like it needed some attention. I'd go again if I was around town and my folks wanted some Chinese food. It's so much better than parking downtown Chinatown and fighting for a parking space.

Yelp
Eaten here many times for banquets and Ass'n meetings. Food is always good; even banquets get the care usually overlooked at other restaurants. Service is helpful & efficient. A plus in Chinatown is two floors of parking; enter off of 10th St.You enter on P4 & exit on P3. 2 hrs free parking while dining at Joyale. Paid parking for all others. Lot is patrolled. Restaurant and other businesses are on Floor 2.

Yelp
Parking is great with their underground garage. Food is tasty and service is excellent. We had a large group and good value for the dishes.

Yelp
My brother and SIL have been raving about this place's dim sum so we were in town for a movie and decided to stop by in the early evening. What a let down. Of course they didn't have dim sum because it wasn't a Saturday morning, but I don't blame them for that- I blame my brother for not knowing better. The food we got was okay. I ordered what I thought was a pan fried seafood noodle dish and what we got was a pyramid of crusty noodle on top of a mound of seafood and veggies. Not what we were expecting. Maybe they had a different understanding of what I was trying to say. Everything we had was just okay, but in my experience since moving to Washington, it was typical of the mediocre Asian food we've found in this part of the country. I will return anyway because my brother swears by the dim sum, but my expectations have been lowered. At least the server was really kind and tried to be helpful.

Yelp
-they have cart service -big with loads of seating -clean! -good customer service -great food that did not disappoint. they had all my favorite dumplings -did I mention they have cart service?

Yelp
We ordered so much dimsum. We got siomai, beancurd rolls, hakaq, shrimp/scallop dumplings, sticky rice, chives and shrimp. There's a parking garage that is free for two hours. Also, the tea is 75cents per person so we opted for just hot water. We were here around 11am on a Saturday, so we managed to be early enough not to wait for a table. Overall service is very good.

Yelp
Some pretty authentic dim sum!! I came around 11:30 on a weekend, and we were able to be seated immediately. They still have the push carts which is super fun, and they came around basically as soon as we sat down. We ordered a ton of items -- shumai, scallop dumpling, fried meat dumpling, tripe, salted egg buns, etc. All of it was quite good and tasted fresh! I especially liked the sticky rice and salted egg yolk buns. What I was really surprised by was how cheap it was! For 7 dishes, it was only around $20 per person which is quite cheap in comparison to other dimsum spots. Definitely worth a try!

Yelp
Not the best dim sum place I've ever been to. It's a large dim sum restaurant and one of the only ones in the area I know that still does carts instead of mobile orders. I enjoy the carts and being able to ask for things directly off the cart. The only problem was that the same cart would come around and when the other cart finally came around it would be out of the dishes we wanted :( The dishes were so hard to get that I thought they would be phenomenal once I got to try them. But I was really disappointed. The shu mai and har gow were strangely watery. Like at least a tablespoon of water per dumpling. And the actual contents of the dumpling, shrimp & pork were pretty bland. It was almost as if the dumplings were frozen, defrosted and refrozen before being steamed. The crunchy shrimp balls tasted off, a little bit rancid? The other dishes were good and had good portions. I enjoyed the spare ribs, the noodles, the pork buns, and the honey walnut shrimp though. I don't think we ate that much but it came out to $45 per person. I really didn't think it was worth the price.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my uncles 70th birthday! We had a banquet style service where they brought out all the dishes to each table. Their restaurant is very spacious and has a large stage for small performances. This is definitely a place where you can host up to over 100 people. We reserved about 9 round tables and had plenty of food for all to eat. The reason this restaurant gets such a low rating is because their food just wasn't good in my opinion. Although the authenticity was there, the food really lacked flavor. I expect that being at a seafood restaurant, that I'd be blown away but unfortunately the flavors fell short of what I was expecting.

Yelp
LOVE this place! My family and I went to dim sum this weekend, and it was exactly what I was hoping. They still do the carts. Carts come around almost as soon as you sit down, and continue every so often. Lots of choices. Really fun. Desserts were also great. I loved the egg custard. Will we go back? ABSOLUTELY! Great value for the money, great variety, attentive service, and relaxing atmosphere. Love this place!

Yelp
When you're at a dim sum place and see an elderly grandpa leisurely eating alone while reading a newspaper, that's the right place to be. Oh, it also gotta have the fish tank. This is my go to dim sum place in Seattle. Free 2 hr garage parking. IG: pandachenie

Yelp
The Service is Amazing! Friendly Staff that will go out of their way to Help you, without an Attitude because you're WHITE!!! The Food is Fresh and Top Notch BETTER than any other place I've been for Dim-Dum-Sum! This is the place to go! Even if it's Busy! They will treat you right! BEST FOOD, Best Staff!!! Yelp
A hidden gem in Chinatown if you're looking for dim sum on the busy weekend. One of the best perks is that you will not have to fight tooth and nail for parking like other locations such as Honey Court. The classic items--ha gau, siu mai, egg tarts etc--deliver in terms of quality and quantity. The Pork Puffs (football) are fried a bit more than other dim sum places, giving it an extra crunch. Don't forget the Phoenix claw and pork ribs. The older busboy/waiter is cranky and will likely ask you to get items such as forks and toothpicks yourself, but it is what it is. Well priced and great for large parties!
google avatar

Brittany W.

Yelp
I would rank this a 3.5 if I could. I came here for dim sum on Christmas Day and the place was super busy. There's plenty of seating in the restaurant and there is a private parking lot with two hours of free parking (which is super convenient in the ID). The dim sum is served on carts and there is plenty of variety. Some of the "classics" like siu mai were never available (not sure if people cleaned the carts before it made it to us or what), but there is the option to order items if you don't see them. Service and cleanliness are so so, but the restaurant was clearly busy and likely understaffed (and I should probably just appreciate that they were open on Christmas!). I'll definitely come back and try again on a non-holiday.

Yelp
It was my first time venturing to Chinatown area and trying Dim Sum. Parking is free is the garage. The elevator didn't work when we arrived in the garage but it was a quick walk down the drive up entry to the street. There's no stairs to walk from the inside of the garage down. The restaurant is wide open and spaced out. We walked in and immediately had a table provided and a cart rolled up and we started selecting items. There were plenty of options and small requests were asked and the staff helped out with no issues. Everything was fresh and hot. I liked it that there was rolling carts and options but after a while they're all the same. You get full pretty quickly and they'll box up your order for you. Just take the check to the counter to check out and that's it!

Yelp
We attended a Chinese banquet style dinner here on a Saturday night. Our party was approximately 10 tables (100 people). On this Saturday the restaurant had also booked a huge wedding, and a graduation party for the same time. Food and service was fine, but the problem was the restaurant was divided by curtain barriers. The wedding party had their music blaring, and the graduation had karaoke cranked up to the maximum. With little sound barrier it was so loud that we could barely have table conversation or hear our own entertainment. We had the typical banquet menu with plenty of dishes. They are served and shared via a lazy susan. The dishes that stood out as my favorites were the Shark's Fin Soup, Braised Lobster, and the abalone, mushrooms, and green vegetable dish. I thought those were excellent. The other dishes were average for authentic Chinatown standards.

Yelp
Pros: - huge space for big groups, even during prime time - food is now on carts so you can get things instantly and eat your fill - prices are reasonable - variety is ok Cons: - sometimes they run out of the more popular things on the carts. Make sure you ask one of the servers if you can order it from the kitchen and sometimes they will place a special order for you. - quality is not top notch but decent - variety is ok but not great

Yelp
I'm rating this a two because I had takeout so can't speak to the dining experience. But the food was ready on time, and they were prompt to attentive to me when I can in, though they started to ring me up when I'd already paid via grub hub. But the food, yuk! The shumai was greasy, and the shrimp in it was fishy smelling and tough, like old and over cooked. I was so hungry I ate two and my jaw muscles felt it. The pan fried chive dumplings had shrimp, so the same problem. The steamed spareribs were flavorless and unseasoned. I ordered the steamed phoenix claws, chicken feet, and instead they gave me pork dumplings that I don't even see on their menu. They had more peanuts in them than pork. Terrible.

Yelp
Joyale Seafood Restaurant is a classic staple in the ID-Chinatown area of Seattle. It's more on the outside of Chinatown and they have a parking garage of their own. Parking is free for the first two hours. Their dim sum carts are also back! Lots of dim sum places are not QR codes or check marked lists, and dim sum carts are few and far between now. I went during Christmas time and they had a cute mochi whipped cream dessert. They have all he classic dim sum dishes.

Yelp
5 stars relative to Seattle, but 4 stars if this place were in LA Located in a large, somewhat empty plaza with a parking lot on top of the building (quite interesting), this restaurant is actually really huge but busy, so even on peak Saturday lunch, we were immediately seated. The dim sum here is served in carts, the traditional way of doing it, and I'm glad to experience it again since January 2020! It doesn't really get the attention like Jade Garden or Harbor City, but it deserves more attention. We got some of the classic dim sum like har gow, siu mai, char siu bao, lotus wrapped sticky rice, ham sui gok, lai wong bao, tofu skin rolls, to name a few. Dim sum here is of higher quality than the other dim sum places I have tried in Seattle so far, though still a bit lacking relative to LA's 626 area. Some nitpick things include having a bit too much variety of dim sum in certain carts and a lack thereof in others (might be due to understaffing, giving the benefit of the doubt), and they're placed in carts that don't necessarily really steam them to keep them warm (some of the dim sum dishes were lukewarm). Though, despite the temperature, quality is above average and is as close to dim sum back in LA as it can get. Things like chicken feet didn't go through our rotation, but this is a reality of push cart style places: you're making a tradeoff of guaranteed dim sum of your choice with longer waits to prepare, versus more personalized interactions and uncovering potentially new dim sum that you wouldn't have tried otherwise, and being able to more precisely determine how much you want and can eat. Besides, prices here are definitely very reasonable and are somewhat cheaper than the ones right at the center of International District. Though with a 75 cent per person price for tea, each dish is designated small, medium, and large, and ranges between $4-5 (closer to $4.15-4.85 I think). As of now, you bring the stamp card to the front to pay. Parking is easy, tons of space in parking lot structure located 3rd and 4th floor of the plaza: 2 hr free parking no receipt required, so it's honor system, though based on our dining experiences here, there's no problem finishing within 2 hrs.

Yelp
Totally awesome dim sum, Hong Kong style, carts and everything. Make a reservation, come early, come hungry. Truly heart-warming :)

Yelp
Ok, as a long time fan of Harbor City, I'm glad to have found Joyale! Great dim sum with a slightly broader menu than Harbor City. The shrimp, pork buns, desserts were all at least as good, and the sesame balls were even better (crisp, not oily). And cleaner bathrooms. And a big dining room that meant no waiting on a Saturday at 11:30. Plus free garage parking: coming from the East on S Jackson, turn right into the dead end road, enter the parking garage on your left. It was also nice to have the authentic dim sum cart experience. We will be back!

Yelp
We've visited this establishment multiple times for dim sum and each visit has always exceeded our expectations. Service is always quick. Carts are always coming by for options and the tea is always piping hot. Our go-to dishes are chicken feet, pan fried rice rolls, spicy stir fry green beans, shrimp/scallop dumplings and sesame balls, however, the other options we have tried have been great as well. I do wish that we could try their larger dishes (such as their Peking duck or walnut shrimp) but it's just the two of us and it would be too much food. As for parking, the building they are located in has their own parking structure. It's free for 2 hours.
google avatar

Leeann J.

Yelp
Joyale is a great option if you want dim sum earlier than 11am and if you don't want to stand around waiting at the other places down the street. It's clean and quiet, and the quality of food is good. I'd say the food is pretty consistent with the dim sum I've had in Philadelphia and New York. The tables are pretty spaced out right now but the carts come around pretty quickly and frequently. The shrimp har gow, shu mai, and spare ribs were my favorite. We got the tofu pudding, century egg congee, chicken feet, beef tripe, tofu skin rolls, deep fried shrimp fritters, and egg tarts as well. All were solid options.

Yelp
great priced items and quick service! happy i went here instead of the more overhyped places :) their bean curd rolls are very yummy especially

Yelp
Our go to spot for dim sum! Huge restaurant so we have never had to wait. You can also reserve tables if needed. They have a great selection of dim sum and still do the push carts which is fun! Quality of the food is definitely good. Complimentary tea, great hot sauce (not sriracha but the chili oil sauce which is much better for dim sum) quick seating what else can you ask for? Parking is complimentary in the attached garage. You bring the check up to the front for payment which is nice. If there is a dish you haven't seen around the carts you can ask for it and they will bring it to you. Can also order off the menu although we rarely ever do that - the dimsum selection is more than enough! They also recently started having some drinks - like mango sago I think - on the carts. Another nice point is that due to the size is the restaurant no issues with bringing a stroller if you need! Definitely recommend this place for dim sum!

Yelp
Spacious. Nice atmosphere. Excellent service. Authentic items. We ordered typical dim sum, choosing from the carts as they came by. Inexpensive. Staff is friendly and professional. Parking is great. They have their own garage below the restaurant's and the first two hours are free!

Yelp
I have always seen this restaurant at the edge of Chinatown but have never tried the food. There is a lot attached to the establishment with 2-hours of free parking. Recently we attended a banquet at this establishment and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We were seated in the ballroom with over a hundred people to enjoy nine courses. The fish soup came out piping out followed quickly by a char siu fried chicken plate which was crispy and delicious. The steamed prawns were huge and fresh. The steamed fish with delectable white flakey texture. The ginger chicken was cold and not over cooked. Fried pork chop was crispy and addicting. Peking duck with white steamed buns and hoisin sauce was definitely a table favorite because of the crispy texture of the skin. The fried rice at the end was almost overwhelmingly too much. The ending mango pudding with a splash of cold condensed milk was enjoyed by all. The food was very good and we are so glad we were able to enjoy so many dishes that were cooked so well!

Yelp
Been waiting a longtime to dine-in for dim sum and have known prior to the pandemic this place had the best selections. The selections were still on par as it had been but some of the food was not piping hot and we felt it had been sitting for a while but we did get some items we hadn't had at other places. The service was great and our tea pot was continuously filled with hot water. Overall a wonderful experience!

Yelp
Just had a wedding there. I'm not going to lie Food was good. 10/10. The owner were very nice and friendly. I was just disappointed with the Service. So efficient that they threw away my wedding knife set and wedding flute. I wouldn't mind if I bought them myself. But they were my wedding gifts from my very good friends. Bathroom could use a lot of cleaning. All my guests complained how dirty it was. Wet floor.those with long dress had to lift it up. Decorates: the backdrop looks like it was half done. I even drew how I wanted it to look.

Yelp
Great authentic Cantonese restaurant in Seattle Chinatown. The quail was the bomb and all other dishes are decent. Great service too!

Yelp
Really great dim sum spot! All servers have a great attitude and are super friendly, carts are always passing through and if you want something special it's easy to get (their congi is amazing). Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great place on the weekend!

Yelp
Review style: scattered notes.. perfect style just like dim sum u can have a little bit of everything.. these notes r raw n unedited.. so grab a few popcorn kernels.. kick back n sprinkle on ur favorite popcorn seasoning lackluster flavorless chow mein.. only taste the nasty sesame seeds that r a part of it.. I hate sesame seeds Siu Mai pretty tough like overcooked n weird crunchy texture Rice Rolls odd taste sticky rice chicken of course comes in 3s.. overseasoned sticky rice chicken for 1st 1 I ate, but underseasoned for 2nd 1 I ate.. highly strange.. but 3rd 1 is seasoned just right.. wat is this? Goldie Locks n the 3 Bears? Ok.. so now extremely strange.. they play Happy Birthday song randomly.. no there's nobody's birthday in here.. just random sh*t Only Jasmine Tea is good + excellent tea refill service n service in general.. inside scoop aka nosy news: heard top directors r coming in.. 2 myself, they'll b in 4 a surprise alright! I mean I've been 2 this place b4.. wat happened?

Yelp
We came here for dinner and the restaurant was decently busy. What is depressing is that the entire plaza is so barren and sad. There's no coziness to the place. There is a parking structure connected to the plaza which allows for 2 hours of free parking; you still have to go to the machine to get a ticket to place on your dash though. We ordered a bunch of things and while the portion sizes are great, I thought the taste was decent. What was disappointing was that the temperature of the foods didn't come out very warm. It was as if the food had been sitting out for a while and then finally served to us. You can't go wrong with your typical Chinese dishes like fried rice, chow fun, honey walnut shrimp and Mongolian beef. Out of all of the dishes, nothing really stuck out to me as amazing. This place is just very average. The restaurant itself is huge so if you're looking to have a restaurant host a huge gathering for you, I'd say this place can definitely cater your parties needs. The plus side is that the service here is quick and efficient.

Yelp
Still one of the better dim sum places in the CD. I prefer picking out my food from the carts. Food is fresh and has a good representation.

Yelp
I've been coming to Joyale more frequently since it's so close to home, and there's normally no wait on the weekends. The portion sizes here are fairly generous, and they have quite the selection of food. My favorites (as always) are tripe, chicken feet, siumai, sticky rice, and bean curd from the steamed carts. Plus, they have their own covered parking lot with free 2 hour parking! Definitely beats the long waits at other dim sum restaurants in Chinatown... especially on a busy Sunday morning. The only thing is that sometimes the food on the carts are cold. Sometimes we'll be sitting for 5-10 minutes waiting for a cart to come our way. Guess ya gotta just chase down the carts and get what ya want before they run out! Ha!

Yelp
It's my first night in Seattle from Chicago & I came here for some grub from a recommendation & wow was I impressed. After a long day of traveling, this place was perfect for a nice dinner with a group of friends. The food was great and came out in a good amount of time! I would highly recommend and will definitely be back in the future!

Yelp
I'm so confused. Came here for Saturday morning dim sum. We frequently go here because parking is easy. But anyway... I don't know what happened. But all of a sudden the customer service is on point. Everyone is so nice and they keep your tea pot full and remove empty trays quickly. The food has also gotten better. I probably previously had a low bar but man this place has gotten a lot better. The bathroom was even clean. Surprisingly pleasant. They are busy so I hope this place stays around for a while

Yelp
Myself and 2 friends had no wait for a Saturday 1130am lunch. The Dim Sum was very very good. Hot and steaming with a nice variety of selections. Every dish we had was delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive. Really good tea as well. We dis not get to try any of the desserts as we stuffed ourselves, but I intend to return very soon, as they looked good as well. Having a free 2 hour parking garage was very helpful as well. Elevator worked fine for us. We spent $90, so $30 each. Not bad, really, as we ate a lot. Definitely a new fave.

Yelp
If you're looking for Chinese food in the International district and you have a larger party, Joyale is a really convenient spot. It's a pretty large restaurant that can easily accommodate large parties and also has a parking garage that offers free 1 hour parking, which is incredibly useful considering how hard it is to find street parking sometimes in the ID. However, their food is unfortunately a step down from other restaurants in the area such as Honey Court, Jade Garden, Harbor City, and more. We ordered a ton of dishes but none were really that great besides the Mongolian beef. Don't get me wrong, the food here was okay, but I definitely prefer Honey Court. If you're a small party and are looking for good Chinese food, I would recommend to check elsewhere. This place is more of a larger party alternative. Service was fast and hardworking to accommodate to multiple large parties in the restaurant. They did however forget one of my side orders, and didn't bring out one of our dishes until we were basically all done with our food. It's a big restaurant and so they seem to forget about some of the smaller details. Overall, Joyale is a good place for large parties but that's really the only time I'd recommend coming here.
