The 19 Best Restaurants In Columbus, Ohio 2024

"Head to Old Worthington and check out this laid-back Bengali American cafe brought to you by the same chef from Agni. Beverages range from milk chai to mochas made with rose water jaggery, but the short combo breakfast and lunch food menu is really the highlight. We love the simple breakfast sandwiches with bacon, cheesy eggs, and herb chutney, and the bigger dishes are also worth getting—especially fried rice with crispy chicken and Joya’s take on the kati roll with egg and lamb on griddle-fried paratha. After ordering at the counter, try snagging a seat in the narrow dining space (which gets crowded on the weekends), or head out front for a sidewalk seat." - erin edwards, kindra peach

10 stars? Why is the limit just 5? My sister introduced me to this place the last time I was home for Christmas and have been thinking about the Joya’s Breakfast Sandwich since then. It’s such an amazing and unique sandwich that I have to savor every single bite! This time around we ended up coming here twice in six days (whoops) but I had to get my fill since I’m only home once a year! We also tried the scotch egg (could have literally drank the sauce it was served with), the fried rice and the chicken and vegetable samosa. All were excellent. The second day we decided to do the mini breakfast sandwich (great addition since the last time I was here!) and the Kati roll. We both really enjoyed the Kati roll and it was incredibly filling. We will continue to try all of the menu! I love that this little shop is always packed when we go and hope they continue to find success within local community because food is just top notch.

Wow, this spot is a flavor explosion! 🍔 The Party Melt, Bengali Chap Cheese, and Fried Rice were absolutely unreal—every bite packed a punch. I was so obsessed after dinner that I dragged myself back for breakfast, and it was just as mind-blowing. The lattes? Perfection. The breakfast sandwich? Total game-changer. My friend raved that the fried rice was the best ever. Service is always on point, and the kathi with extra sauce is a must. Every dish hits with bold flavors and textures. As someone who’s eaten all over Columbus, this place is easily top-tier. Can’t get enough!

10/10! Came to visit from Cleveland and was looking for a lunch spot, the Crispy Chicken Manchurian Sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. There was so much flavor in all of the food. My husband had Joya’s Breakfast Sandwich Bobby’s style and he also says one of the best sandwiches ever. The Hash Puppies were delicious and the sauce they came with was great. The masala chai tasted very authentic. The latte was so good and pretty. Everything is so clean inside and well designed. Everyone who works there was so polite. I will be coming back everytime I’m in Columbus!

Girl at the register was very welcoming and sweet, and this is one of the only places I've been that asks about dietary restrictions when ordering. On top of that, the breakfast sandwich is out of this world. A bit of spice so if you're someone who can't handle I'd be careful, but absolutely worth it! The eggs were incredibly soft and fluffy, the bacon had a fantastic crunch, and all around the flavors mixed very well. A little on the expensive side for a small breakfast sandwich though. The cold brew coffee is also some of the best I've had around town, rivaling Java Central in uptown Westerville. I also got a donut which compared to the other two items was just OK, but still not bad. I'll absolutely be back here again and highly suggest anyone else to also check it out as well, you won't be disappointed!

The food was excellent, and the service was good (college kids; eager to please), but it was very crowded. I got a blueberry cookie thing that was incredible. It must have been a million calories, but the texture and flavor were unbelievable.

Really delicious food. Love the Bengali touch - I feel like that’s unheard of and so hard to find. The Kati roll is a must. I also enjoyed their rose mocha. ☕️ definitely pricey and I was surprised that there were pork options because that is not a common meat type for Bangladesh. 🇧🇩 I wish they remained authentic and removed the pork or had it available as a side if anything. Small location, limited seating.

This place is a Columbus top dawg. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, and the food is not only delicious but has menu options you won’t get anywhere else. Also very vegetarian friendly - they even have a specific vegetarian menu. My partner and I had the breakfast sandwich and the Kati roll and we went halfsies - highly recommend. We’ll be back to try the rest of the menu. Also cafe drinks are delicious and an added bonus! They have self-serve “spicy water” on tab! The place does have limited seating but the staff does an excellent job with getting you a seat if you’re eating in.

Had high expectations due to the reviews and seeing the owner on beat Bobby flay. We came for dinner, which may be the problem? Unsure exactly, but I feel like we would've enjoyed a larger menu (dinner had 6-7 items to choose from, no sides/snacks to add on). My husband enjoyed the food more than myself, everything was a little spicy for my personal taste but for $14, I feel like the sandwich should come with fries or chips? The not pad Thai was definitely overcooked. Only like 4 tables outside for dining, and there was a bar inside where we sat, but didn't actually have bar service. You had to go back up to the cash register to get more drinks etc. Service was quick and friendly, just had higher expectations in general. Would recommend you come in for lunch, not dinner, to try for yourselves.
