"With distressed mirrors and old French film posters on the walls, red leather booths, and live jazz, Jules Bistro feels less like a live music spot on St. Marks, and more like a place you’d find when you get into Paris after other spots have closed. Bands play in the dining room every night, and there’s live Caribbean music during brunch on Sundays." - Matt Tervooren

A gorgeous place with excellent ambience and dining experience. We went when it was quiet on a weekday evening, and were greeted with friendly staff and a relaxing, cool atmosphere. The live music wasn't too loud, food was very good, and staff were endlessly helpful. Meals come with bread and water, there is a lack of non-alcoholic options mind. Desert seen below was not a menu item, but was a special reccomended by the waiter. Worth the trip out.

We arrived on time but there was an annual event the restaurant hosts for a school still on going. No problem, we sat at the bar and had complimentary food and drinks whilst the group finished. A quick turnaround and we had the best seats in the house. The food wasnt cheap but worth every penny. It was devine.

Food- excellent, wine -excellent. Everyone knows it cause it was busy. Go before 7:30pm (that's when the music starts) definitely make a reservation

Comfortable jazz club with decent dinner menu and fine beer selection. Short, safe walk from the subway. When I was there, the jazz was good and the food was ok. Go for the jazz, enjoy the meal.

Jules is such a treat! I called on a Thursday evening around 730 for a reservation for their 9pm show. They accommodated no problem. When we arrived, we were immediately seated at a great little table close enough to the stage but not so close we couldn’t have a conversation. We had a bottle of 2015 Saint-Joseph and an order of escargot. Great trio of musicians, and kind attentive service. Can’t wait to go back.

Flavorful and fresh food. The service was excellent. The jazz band was also amazing, although they came in late. The restaurant can get a little too crowded.

Parisian experience in LES!! Come early and you might catch some old school piano players just happily jamming. The Cote de Beuf was astonishing.

Gorgeous little jazz bar with live music, wonderful cocktails, friendly staff and cosy ambience. We stumbled across this place and sat at the end of the bar enjoying the 9pm show and a Ginger Mojito. Highly recommended for an authentic cosy little jazz bar in the east village.
