"Helmed by master chef Massimo Bottura, the Downtown Miami spot that opened in August 2024 atop the Julia & Henry Food Hall confirmed on Instagram: "We’ll be taking a little break, but la dolce vita isn’t over just yet…" Decked out in 1960s bold decor and conceived as a tribute to Italian movies of that era, the restaurant framed its seasonal pause in the context of Italian coastal-town rhythms, and there is hope it will return in time for Miami’s busy season." - Laine Doss
"After an eight-year run that began in Wynwood in 2017, this Chinese restaurant—known for dishes from Beijing duck to beef fried noodles—moved into Julia & Henry’s Food Hall in Downtown Miami in 2022. Owner Javier Ramirez posted on Instagram: “Last Sunday was the last service at Julia & Henry’s and most certainly its last service ever. "Inside this slightly overwhelming Downtown food hall, there is a taco stand called Tacotomia. They offer birria tacos, but will also stuff it inside their machete too—an oblong quesadilla roughly the size and shape of an actual machete. "Julia & Henry’s isn’t our favorite food hall, but it is so big that you can quite easily hide from your partner if need be. The Downtown food hall has more nooks and crannies than an English muffin. So order a birria-stuffed machete from Tacotomia, ask your insignificant other to pick it up, tap them on the shoulder, and then say, “Tag you’re it.” While they’re climbing back up to the third floor trying not to spill consomme, hide behind the giant tower of wine bottles and play a game of hide-and-seek that ends with you ghosting them forever.
