I had high hopes for Jun Sakamoto, especially given its Michelin star status, but unfortunately, I feel it didn’t fully meet expectations. While the presentation and craftsmanship of the dishes were commendable, I found the experience to be overpriced for what was delivered.
The sushi was undoubtedly fresh and well-prepared, but there wasn’t enough of a “wow factor” to justify the premium cost. Beyond the food, the service felt a bit cold and impersonal, which took away from the warm, intimate atmosphere you’d expect at a fine dining establishment of this caliber.
While I respect the skill involved, I left feeling that the experience didn’t live up fully to its reputation especially for the price.
