The 9 Best Poke Spots In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"If you're a fan of purist-approved flavors and enormous portions, you’ll love this Redondo Beach shop. Jus' Poke keeps it simple by focusing on just tuna in seven pre-marinated flavors, including the original laced with sesame oil and crunchy bits of ogo seaweed, or wasabi poke punched up with serrano chiles and flying fish roe. There's usually a line—made up of local office workers on weekdays, post-beach crowds on weekends—but it's always fast-moving. Don't expect much in terms of ambiance or seating, but it's the quality of the seafood that counts." - sylvio martins, brant cox, cathy park

The 11 Best Hawaiian Restaurants to Try in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"A great poke bowl is like filing taxes: the less complicated, the better. At Jus’ Poke in Redondo Beach, there are only six fish options to choose from, including an excellent shoyu ahi that comes loaded with diced green onions and ogo, a light, savory seaweed with a reddish-brown color. Pair with a scoop of rice or seaweed salad." - Kat Hong

Jus’ Poke Review - Redondo Beach - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"You’ve likely had plenty of build-your-own, assembly-line poke bowls over the past few years. Jus’ Poke is different, and resembles what you’d find in Hawaii - meaning it’s super fresh and you won’t be able to overwhelm your bowl with too many options. There are six types of pre-marinated tuna (get the original or spicy) or a tofu option, to which you can add rice or seaweed salad. The servings are enormous, and the crowd is mostly local office people picking up lunch." - Jess Basser Sanders

Google
Refreshing and delicious and very fresh! Servings are large and filling. I got a large with brown rice, seaweed salad, edamame, and the shoyu and California roll poke. Yummy! Each on their own was good but combined in a bite was just great

Google
The poke bowl was huge and absolutely delicious! 🤤 Super fresh ingredients, generous portions, and full of flavor. We definitely ate to our heart’s content — it was more than enough to fill us up. Totally worth it! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Google
It looks like most of the poke here, with the exception of the California roll (imitation crab) and tofu poke, use the same type of fish. Everything is well seasoned and delicious. We ordered two regular portions and were quite full. I ordered the Hawaiian chili flake & Spicy with white rice and Grandma's pickles. She went with the Shoyu and Spicy with Grandma's pickles and opted to for the seaweed salad. Be aware there is upcharge of you decide to opt out of rice. The love to get into this place was about to minutes. The staff is friendly and fast. There is a small counter and some tables right outside to eat at but it seems like most people take it to go. They will start running out of choices so get there early.

Google
Outstanding poke. The flavors are excellent. We drove a two-hour round trip just to go here. I like a little spice so I get the spicy edamami, spicy poke, Hawaiian poke, pickled cucumbers & brown rice. My wife like the Cali poke. We'll definitely be back!

Nick Boroski

Google
Best poke I've ever had, hands down. The fish literally melts in your mouth and everything is superbly seasoned. Plus, if you drive a few blocks to the beach, you can have it with an amazing view!

Gabriela Fuentes

Google
It was my first time In Redondo Beach and a coworker recommended this spot saying it really is authentic Poke and I am glad she did. I got there during lunch time on a Monday so the line was a bit long but it moved super quick and at the end it was 1000% worth it! Everything was delicious, I didn't wanted it to finish! If you are close by and trying to decide what to eat, just go for it, you won't regret it!

Google
Great Hawaiian style poke at very reasonable prices in the heart of Redondo Beach. I saw the crowds outside a few weeks ago then finally gave it a shot. It reminded me of the traditional grocery store poke I had in Hawaii, saying it's very good. Go for the large poke bowl... Two scoops of rice two scoops of poke and 2 sides. Great stop for lunch . There's a long line but it goes quick and it is worth it

Luke Kim

Google
Amazing Poke bowl! Their selection of marinated/sauced fish is excellent and diverse. It is definitely worth the wait - don’t let the line outside the door intimidate you. The line moves decently fast. There’s not a crazy amount of sides you can choose from, but doesn’t matter too much when their basic ones like seaweed salad and cucumber are so good. Highly recommend to take it to-go to a good viewpoint near PV to enjoy the bowl. The store is basically a small to-go store with few stool seats inside.

Yelp
I remember years back when they just opened. Now there's oftentimes a long line to the parking lot to order. Order at the counter, sit at the wind o ledge or if you're lucky, at one of the three tables outside. A bunch of choices of sides and types of poke. We got seaweed salad and spicy edamame ( they also have regular). They also have pickled cucumbers. We got both spicy and shoyu poke, but they also have original, Cali roll, tofu, sweet heat. Two sizes, regular $13.95, or large, $19.95. Same options, but larger portions. They also have a few desserts: green tea ice cream, coconut pineapple ice cream, and mochi ice cream.

Yelp
Actual rating: 3.5. Two friends separately recommended this spot to me so I obviously had to go at the earliest opportunity. I ordered the regular plate with original and spicy poke. For my sides, I opted for seaweed salad and pickled cucumbers. The quality of the fish was very good/buttery and the flavor did remind me of Hawaii! I don't think it gets 5 stars because of 2 things: 1. There was a long line when I arrived and it took around 30 minutes. While the food was delicious, I don't think it's worth waiting that long in line for. The actual ordering and paying was quite fast. 2. The trash was overflowing, and the bathroom was quite dirty. Inside is small with limited seating, however, there are a few tables outside to sit and eat as well. Also, there's a small lot with limited parking. Overall, while I enjoyed the food, I didn't think it was worth the wait.

Yelp
If you're looking for amazing Hawaiian poke on the mainland, you found the place. The line is always out the door, but it is def worth the wait! I got the bowl with half Hawaiian, half spicy, with sides of the spicy edamame and Aunty's pickled cucumbers. The highlight of the bowl is definitely the flavorful, well-marinated fish, unlike "mainland/California-type" poke which puts an emphasis on toppings galore. Parking is a bit difficult unless you manage to get lucky and nab a spot in their tiny parking lot. Otherwise, you'll have to park a bit away and walk on over.

Yelp
Came here and got in line on a Sunday at 5:15 The line moved pretty quick! The food is absolutely delicious and so fresh, the portions are great for the price. Nice place, some bar-like seating inside. Will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Yelp
I got baited and the line did not move fast at the dinner hour on a Saturday, but we don't make it out to here very often so we waited. It probably took us 30+ minutes to get our order, but once we were inside the store it was pretty fast. I got half spicy and half California roll, with pickled cucumbers and edamame (two sides are included in the regular). Tuna was not mushy at all and had a very smooth bite. The flavoring was also not too heavy, especially the ones that had mayo in them! The pickled cucumbers were not what I was expecting -- I was thinking more like Cava but instead it was more like pickles, and I felt like the edamame could've been seasoned and not as tough but the poke was good enough to win me over. This price point is also unbeatable at ~$15 after tax. Plenty of seats inside and outside to eat! I guess a lot of people buy and head to the beach.

Yelp
My husband and I were in Redondo Beach for the first time and while driving in we saw this place had a line already and it wasn't even open. So after hanging out at the pier and walking around a bit we decided to come back here and try it out for lunch. We parked across the street and walked to the restaurant, since their parking lot is quite small. There was still a line out the door. We entered and it being our first time we weren't sure what to get. The guy behind the counter explained what came with the combos . So my husband and I got two kinds of poke and two side and either brown rice or white rice . I got the spicy poke and the California roll poke and spicy edamame and the seaweed salad and white rice . My husband got the Hawaiian poke and another one I can't recall the name and regular edamame and the cucumber salad- and brown rice. Now I understand why the big line here! The poke is delicious and fresh and the sides are also so good. We understand the hype now. While we were there the line continued to be out the door. The line moves fast so don't let that stop you. They have three tables outside and they have bar seating or seating at a counter with stools. We absolutely loved this place and hopefully can be back to have it again.

Yelp
It's a bit of a drive to Redondo Beach, but it's the best place to get island-style poke in LA county! ps. Line can get long during the summer
google avatar

Miso J.

Yelp
Arrived 10 minutes before closing and there was still a decent line out the door on a Thursday evening but the wait is totally worth it! The fish is fresh, each flavor is seasoned really well, and the sides are all delicious. Towards the end of the day, options are limited but still worth it. I tried their wasabi and spicy poke and both were so gooood! And for the sides I had their pickled cucumbers and seaweed salad which brought the perfect balance to the dish. Definitely want to come back again soon! Parking: free small lot or street parking
google avatar

Christine T.

Yelp
This is a small poke shop with a few seats inside. There's a small parking lot attached that fills up really quickly, but there is free street parking nearby. I came on a weekday for lunch and there was already a small line forming 10 minutes before their opening time. The workers are really fast and efficient, so the line moved quickly. The poke itself is super fresh and delicious. I tried the shoyu and the spicy, which I both liked!
google avatar

Brooke A.

Yelp
Fabulous portions and flavorful fish! Jus' Poke was bopping even on a weekday, but the line moved quickly. I got a regular poke plate with rice, cucumber salad, and shoyu poke. We ate it on the beach and it was truly idyllic. The rice was a bit on the dry side, but the sauce on the poke made up for this. I'd recommend sharing a portion with a friend since it does not keep in the refrigerator well.

Yelp
SO DELICIOUS! My boyfriend brought me because he knows I am a seafood junkie and love, ADORE a poke meal. We saw this on some post about the best poke spots in LA and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Sweat Heat and my boyfriend ordered the original. Both amazing. If you love pickles pleeease get Aunty's pickled cucumbers on the side. Ugh I'm salivating just reliving this experience. I WILL be back.

Yelp
Jus' Poke is a solid place to get Hawaiian poke! This place always has a line so I recommend going there right before it opens. The parking lot is also small, but there's street parking nearby. Their poke is so affordable. We both got the Large poke and that was a mistake cause we were so full by the end of it. The portions that they give are huge! Most definitely share if you get large. It's only $17.50 for large and $12.50 for regular so we had to go for the bigger size since it just made sense haha. I got the Hawaiian and spicy poke as well as seaweed salad and pickled cucumber sides. There is also edamame but you can only choose two. The poke was fresh and flavorful. Was looking for the gummy texture like what you'd get in Hawaii. Didn't get that, but still really good! The rice was also a little mushy. Overall though, it was a yummy dish! Pro tip: take your poke to the beach and eat it there. It's an experience!
google avatar

Christine D.

Yelp
i heard this place had the freshest fish and i'm so glad that i tried it. we came at 11:15 am and the line was already forming, and we waited about 30 minutes. it definitely got longer afterwards so id recommend ordering online. there is very limited seating inside and outside. the parking lot is also very small. i got the spicy and shoyu poke and it was super good! the portions were great and i couldn't finish a large so it fit into 2 meals for me. the hawaiian bread and chips were such a good variation of texture and i liked mixing the chips with the poke. the tables inside are next to the window so the place is nice and cozy even though it's small. the line wraps outside

Yelp
My friend and I went to Manhattan Beach for lunch and explored the area by walking along the boardwalk until sundown. On our way back, we passed by this place and decided to have a light bite since we were both not that hungry. We decided to share a bowl of: Half shoyu half spicy. Side of cucumber salad, spicy edamame and brown rice It was surprisingly good and it's good that we decided to share because the serving was pretty generous. All ingredients (fish and veggies) were fresh and delicious. There were bar seating inside and more seats outside the store. It looked like a popular restaurant because there's always a constant stream of customers. Service was fast and friendly. There's a restroom inside and lots of free parking around the area.

Yelp
Honestly the only place I've found that even comes close to Hawaii-level quality. For the price? Absolutely unbeatable!!! This is one of my main go-to spots and I always leave way too happy. We rotate between the spicy, sweet Thai, or California roll bowls, and we love the seaweed salad, cucumbers, and wonton chips. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait depending on the time, but it moves quickly and the staff is super kind and efficient. I recommend this place to everyone and will continue to do so!!!
google avatar

Keesha F.

Yelp
I tried the Sweet Heat, and Shoyu poke- along with pickled cucumbers and seaweed salad as sides and white rice. I thought both pokes were yummy, the fish was fresh and mingled well with the different marinades. Only thing I didn't like was the rice, it was super mushy. I ended up tossing it and making some fresh sushi rice when i got home!
google avatar

Sharon G.

Yelp
Stopped by to grab poke before dropping my friend off at LAX. Thankfully it wasnt too busy! There is a fairly small parking lot, less than 10 spots but street parking nearby! There is a few picnic tables outside but I recommend grabbing it to go to the beach! I got a poke bowl with the spicy poke and it was so yummy! You can only choose two sides with the regular bowl. The cucumbers were to die for!!!!! I will say, for the price the portion size was a little small. But the poke is very fresh and flavorful!
google avatar

Kani Y.

Yelp
They always have the best and fresh poke in all of South Bay! I always just get a pound of poke, cuz I don't need anything else with it
google avatar

Edward K.

Yelp
I haven't been here in years and it's still so good. Fresh fish, flavors on point, and staff always friendly. The portions go crazyyyy, super generous, I always get a large for two scoops of rice, two choices of poke, and for the sides seaweed salad and pickled cucumbers. I usually get the wasabi and spicy but today went with Cali roll with avocado and spicy. It did not disappoint. I was stuffed! Love that they offer inside and outside seating, always kept cool inside which is a plus!

Yelp
After seeing a heated online debate about "the best poke in the area," I had to see if Jus' Poke lived up to the hype. When I arrived, no line... but by the time I got my food, there was a line out the door. Small space with high-top window seats and a few outdoor tables. I loved the variety of sides: spicy pickled cucumbers, seaweed salad, edamame, and more. You can choose white or brown rice topped with furikake. I swear I saw something about wonton chips, but don't quote me on this. I went with a small bowl to try two pokes: Hawaiian and Spicy, plus cucumbers and seaweed salad on white rice. Fresh, flavorful, and addicting, I kept eating without even realizing it. The sides made each bite even better. Service was friendly and welcoming, with a staff member confidently telling me their poke might just change my mind... and they might be right. Is it better than my long-time favorite, Sustainabowl? Still deciding. But it's definitely Worth The Hype!!! Would Highly recommend:)

Yelp
Amazing poke, quick and friendly service despite the long line at lunch rush, very laid-back atmosphere with a bit of both indoor and outdoor seating. Ordered a Regular size with Shoyu and Spicy poke, brown rice, pickled cucumbers, and seaweed salad. I loved my plate and destroyed it, eating in silence to savor the food as much as possible haha. My friends enjoyed what they got, too (a mix of Original, Hawaiian, and California Roll). Poke were well-seasoned, cool in temperature, and tasted fresh! Marinated yet not mushy. I mixed some of the Shoyu and Spicy together, and it helped tone down the heat of the Spicy while adding a savory creaminess to the Shoyu (aka a yummy combo). Thankfully the pickled cucumbers and seaweed salad weren't overly sweetened, and they added some great textures. Easy to see why Jus' Poke is highly rated. They deserve all the hype, and the positive reviews are justified. I'd love to come back and try their other flavors. Only con is the limited parking nearby, but it's not their fault. People become VERY aggressive/ambitious parkers in that shared, tiny, one-way lot, so be careful. There appeared to be residential street parking nearby with a short walk to the shop, too.
google avatar

Yelp
The freshest, most authentic poke in all of LA County!! This place had a line out the door all day and for good reason. The poke here is so simple and fresh! I loved all the different flavor options. I got a mix of the wasabi and the hawaiian tuna. The texture was melt in your mouth and the contrast between the sweet and the heat was unmatched. The sides were also so amazing!! The spicy was the perfect complement! I wish they were de-podded though. The rice and furikake was warm and fresh, even though we ordered around closing time. The selection of authentic hawaiian drinks was unmatched. The pricing is fairly reasonable too. Such a solid spot to pick up poke before heading over to Hermosa beach to watch the sunset.
google avatar

Anna Y.

Yelp
Came here with friends to grab a dinner for the beach! This place has a small parking lot, which was appreciated. There was a line on a Sunday afternoon, but it wasn't too long of a wait. The inside is a small quaint surf-themed shop with a few counter tables along the windows. Not too many places to sit inside. My friends and I were all super satisfied with the food and price, surprisingly its a pretty large portion for a really good price. I expected poke to be more expensive. I really loved their sides--I got their cucumber and edamame, and put furikake on my rice. I personally got the original poke and the spicy poke. My only wish was that they had salmon! I was unaware all of their poke was tuna but regardless it was really delicious and fresh.
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
Drove from the SGV to get some fire poke. Second time coming and this time much longer wait but it's also 2pm on a Sunday afternoon with great weather, so the wait was expected. I didn't want to get a poke bowl because I wanted to save my stomach for the fish. Worth it to buy the fish separately and then get sides of rice. Total for everything pictured ~ $56. Was able to take leftovers home in my insulated bag with ice. Very relaxed coming here, nice but limited seating outdoors and indoor, with hardworking staff. 5/5 every time!
google avatar

Erin T.

Yelp
Even though the line is long; it moves fast! I enjoyed my first Poke bowl from Jus' Poke! Basically you order rice, 2 sides and your choice of 2 kinds of Poke with the small bowl. I had the white rice, spicy edamame, seaweed, California roll poke and spicy poke! Next time I will have to remember to add fresh avocado on top ;-) P.s.- I do wish they made a mix with fresh salmon cubes instead of only multiple ahi tuna poke options!
google avatar

Aarin P.

Yelp
Saw this viral spot on TikTok and a friend also suggested to try! The poke was fresh with different side options. I decided to get the original poke and the spicy poke with avocado, pickles, and spicy edamame with rice. I would've gave this place 5 stars but they were out of spam musubi, wonton chips and not much to choose from for drinks. I would totally come back with friends! The line wasn't long at all.
google avatar

Matthew M.

Yelp
Whenever someone asks me what to get in the South Bay, this always has to be a top 2 choice. I can literally eat here every single day. Service is always good! They're very helpful whether it's your first time or 100th time. The place is very small, with outside tables if you want to eat it asap. If not, go take it to the beach which is blocks away from the spot! I can't wait for my next visit, it might even be tmrw! Much love!
google avatar

Joanna L.

Yelp
Places with lines are usually hit or miss...but this was a HUGE HIT! We drove past the storefront on the way to Palos Verdes and saw a massive line out the door, so we knew we had to stop by on the drive down. The parking lot is pretty small, but there's street parking or lot parking nearby. On a Saturday around 12:15pm, the line honestly wasn't too bad, and we only had to wait outside 2 minutes before making it in through the door. The staff here is super friendly! Places where you DIY a bowl can be intimidating cause of choice paralysis, but the staff is super friendly, explaining how many scoops you can get and what their recommendations are. I got the original bowl with brown rice, sides of spicy edamame and pickled cucumber, and a mix of original poke and spicy poke. Coming from the Bay, these bowls were pretty affordable for poke and fresh fish prices. They also have a good selection of different pokes for you to pick from, who doesn't love variety! The bowls were DELICIOUS! I can understand the line out the door. The fish was incredibly fresh and soaked up the flavors of the sauces they were marinated in. The sides were amazing as well, super fresh and dare I say unique for a fast casual restaurant. Every bite just melted in my mouth, and the crunchiness of the sides complemented the well-seasoned fish perfectly. Super glad to have driven past this place, would love to come back!!
google avatar

Andrea A.

Yelp
Drove 40 mins out of my way and waited 30 mins in line for this poke. I live in the San Gabriel Valley and we have no good Hawaiian style poke that matches value like this place. 15-16$ for a regular plate that includes two sides. I got the edamame and cucumbers which were refreshing. For poke I got spicy and Hawaiian. Flavor wise everything was good. Would drive out of my way and stand in line again for this.
google avatar

Jo S.

Yelp
Super yummy poke!! Drove down from the valley to try this place and it didn't disappoint! Was super fresh and the portions are very generous. California roll poke was my fave. Paired it all with the chips and it was great! Would def return :)
google avatar

Katie H.

Yelp
The easiest 5* ever given and not sure how I haven't rated this place yet!!! Has been a staple in my life for like 10 years and I recommend it to all friends/family especially when folks visit and it never disappoints. Best poke this side of the pacific! Portions are great (regular size includes a scoop of brown or white rice + decent sized side which you can do half and half + decent amnt of poke which you can also do half and half). Do yourself a favor and get the seaweed salad as your side because there's nothing quite like it, and add all the toppings (furikake, sesame). Can get busy with long lines on the weekends but always always worth it and consider ordering ahead online of you don't like waiting! Limited outdoor seating and a few barstool seats inside so we always grab and go and eat at the beach! Would give 10 stars if I could, workers are the sweetest
google avatar

Erika L.

Yelp
Ordered a regular bowl - half Shoyu and half California Roll along with a side of rice and seaweed salad. They load up the plate. Regular portion felt big enough to share. Poke was fresh and flavorful. Would go back if I was in the area but not worth a drive down to Redondo just for it. Line moves quick but definitely expect to wait.
google avatar

Cory C.

Yelp
I came with a friend for lunch and I'm glad she recommended this place. It's a small place with limited parking, so plan on spending most of the time finding parking. There's about 15 seats inside and four tables outside with shade from the trees. There was a line out the door, but it went by fast. The food was delicious! The California roll poke was my favorite out of the two and everything tasted fresh. Out of the sides, both were good but I would give the seaweed salad the slight edge over the pickled cucumbers. It was crisp and crunchy and tasted good when mixed with the spicy poke. Overall the portions were generous, the ingredients were fresh, and everything hit the spot. Honestly, I just wish I lived closer so I could come here more often!
google avatar

Nancy V.

Yelp
The long line caught my attn and speaks for itself on how good this place is. Now, don't let the line scare you they move pretty fast. Had roughly 25 ppl ahead of me and it took 18 minutes to get to the door. Sad it's not closer to my home. The pricing is reasonable. My only complaint I have and I'm hoping it was probably an off day or batch was the rice was under-cooked so most of it went to the trash. I will update my rating if it's the same next time. They have a small parking lot but also street parking available. Some seating inside and outside in a shaded area.

Yelp
This spot is hands down the best poke i've ever had. Not only in LA, but overall. I've been to hawaii multiple times and have had their poke multiple times, and jus poke has them beat. The food is just truly mouth watering. I live in the valley and it's always a long drive (1.5 Hours) and that still doesn't stop me from making that drive. The food is worth it truly. I've been coming here for almost a year now and ever since, i haven't been able to enjoy any other poke.
google avatar

Tyler M.

Yelp
TLDR: The best Hawaiian-style poke I've found in the mainland! We found this place off the recommendation of a friend and I'm so glad we did. I'd been searching for some real Hawaiian-style poke ever since our Oahu trip a few years ago, and this place scratches that itch forsure. I ordered a regular bowl with their Spicy and Hawaiian poke. The Good: The fish was GREAT--fresh, vibrant, and tender with a slight chew. The Spicy had a bit more heat than I expected, but was still delicious. The Hawaiian was a perfect blend of sweet and savory. They didn't slack on their rice and seaweed salad either. The portion you get for the price is great, too. The Meh: Parking is very tight and the line to order can get very long. Seating is limited too. These are just the limitations of a small restaurant, though, so I can't count these against them. If I had to nitpick over stuff they have control of, I'd say the seaweed salad, while delicious, was a little slimier than I like. We took our bowls to nearby Redondo Beach for a nice ocean-side picnic. It was a perfect lunch and we'll definitely be back the next time we're craving real Hawaiian poke.
google avatar

Clara C.

Yelp
This is a legit Hawaiian poke spot. All the fish is tuna. The vegetarian option is marinated tofu, and it's actually pretty good. The menu is easy. You can choose the meal (regular or large size) or poke by the pound. I was recommended to get rice with the poke because they tend to run salty. I have to agree with the recommendation because shoyu, spicy, and local's wasabi were all very salty by the end of the meal. They have something called one-ton chips, which are pretty good too. They run about $3 a bag. They sell Hawaiian Sun drinks! It's perfect with the poke. There is a small parking lot, but there is free street parking less than a minute walk away. They do have one bathroom inside. It's a tiny space inside. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Credit card/Apple Pay accepted.

Yelp
This review is long overdue. I'll preface with I am by no means a poke expert (I live in New York and have been to Hawaii once when I was a kid, tf do I know about poke?), but my LA friends purport that Jus Poke's product rivals that of poke from the islands. Everything tastes fresh, saline, oceanic, and briny. And more importantly, the items marked as "spicy" are definitely spicy. Most recent in memory, I ordered two half pounds of poke after a 4 mile beach walk. The Local's Wasabi flavor is sharp, sinus-clearing, spicy, and mustardy in an astringent way. The onions here do not tame the spiciness but instead synergistically increase the total sharpness. To the nose, it smells only of shoyu. Visibly, the Local's Wasabi looks different from the Shoyu flavor in that it contains tobiko. The Shoyu poke is more classic, rich and deep in soy flavor, and super savory. It tastes more like mellow onion powder and granulated garlic (again, deeper flavors) whereas the Wasabi had more fresh and raw white onion. It has a nice aroma of sesame oil and shoyu while tasting mild and smooth, almost soy-cured compared to the sharp Local's Wasabi. My other photos reflect older purchases of Hawaiian Chili Peppah and cucumber pickles. I only recall the Hawaiian Chili Peppah being REALLY spicy, so buyer beware.

Yelp
Jus' Poke is a popular poke place in the Redondo Beach area, only serving one type of fish: ahi tuna. The fish is served in various flavors, including spicy, original, California roll, and more. I tired the Hawaiian and Shoyu 1 lb poke with no sides for $21.95 - it's good, but way too salty on its own. Instead, I recommend getting a poke bowl to at least pair the poke with rice. Sides are an additional $3. There's a private parking lot by the side and always a long line getting in. The service inside is quick and efficient, so the line moves fast. For ordering, they ask what you want and put it together on the spot. The restaurant itself is very small with minimal seating inside and some outdoor tables. Most customers order take-out. Overall, I'd definitely come back for a poke bowl.

Yelp
Best poke I've ever had. It's fast casual and the workers are super friendly. There's a few outside seating to eat and small chairs inside to sit and look outside. Will definitely recommend if your into fresh poke!

Yelp
Ngl you need the rice for this one. The sauce was heavily coating the fish which was good, but can be tad bit too salty at times on its own. Though I do like that this poke place was more focused on the fish than adding all the extra toppings you get at most poke places. Seaweed salad was pretty decent. The pickled cucumbers felt more like pickles than an Asian styled cucumber salad but still nice to eat with the rice. Service was really friendly despite it being lunch time. I was thinking of sitting in and eating but the place was pretty packed during a weekday lunch so I ended up taking it to go. The place isn't that big so there wasn't a lot of seating on the inside. Parking was a little busy so had to park further away at another plaza before walking over.

Yelp
I get this poke whenever I'm in the area and I love it! They only have tuna poke and I order the sweet heat and spicy. There's a small parking lot and it maybe be difficult to get a spot during rush hours. There are tables out doors and the workers are super quick and nice to get you in and out. Order ahead of time through the online ordering to skip the wait. Wait can take 15 mins sometimes

Yelp
My friend recommended me this place and I had to give it a try. My wait time wasn't that bad (10 minutes) but I saw a line formed up outside the door when dinner rush came. Workers were nice and welcoming, giving us their recommendations and mixes. I ended up getting their popular Shoyu and Spicy Poke with white rice/seaweed salad/cucumbers. The cucumbers were delicious and gave the fish great depth when paired. I was a big fan of the Shoyu poke because it wasn't overly flavorful and you can enjoy the fish. The Spicy Poke was very creamy and hot that needed kick if you are a spicy person. The parking lot is pretty cramped so beat the lunch/dinner rush by going earlier. I am excited to go back and try their wonton chips and other side options.

Yelp
Tucked away in the tiniest parking lot, is a spot with some bomb poke! It's definitely a local favorite. On a random Thursday at 1pm, the line was out the door! I recommend ordering online for sure. I got a large poke bowl (shoyu and spicy) with cucumber and seaweed salad. A large bowl is HEFTY. That thing was huge...I actually couldn't finish all of it. The liquid from the seaweed salad kinda spilled on the rice so I would skip that next time. The poke itself was definitely on the salty side. I don't think I'd be able to eat it without rice. I'd love to come back and try other flavors!

Yelp
We went in last 30 minutes before closing. They ran out of some items but were very kind and make more for us. Food brings me back to when I had poke in hawaii. The favor of the spicy poke was amazing and I can't wait to try it again.

Yelp
Was it the best poke I've ever had, no, but it was good and I'm willing to bet I just ordered something I didn't like. I was in the area and had this place bookmarked for a while. I decided to stop by. So I ordered online and my food was ready right at my pick up time (no delay! And not one minute earlier)! I ordered a wasabi poke, rice, seaweed salad, cucumber salad, and avocado. The price was decent and matched the portion given! Everything was good, but I personally wasn't the biggest fan of the poke. I felt it was really overstated and completely saturated in soy sauce. So personally, I wouldn't order that again. However I liked everything else and would like to come back to try their other poke flavors. They also have very minimal seating so its pick up mostly. They have some outdoor seating and some bar seating, but the restaurant itself is super small so bar seating is quite claustrophobic,

Yelp
This is a great spot to grab lunch and then head to the beach. It is a fast casual spot with a line out the door that moves quickly. Parking is plentiful in the neighborhood directly behind it. I got the large bowl with brown rice, double pickled cucumbers as my sides, and then original and spicy poke for my flavors. The brown rice is well cooked. It is served warm and not mushy. The pickled cucumbers are very very sweet and gingery, with the cucumbers still having a nice, fresh crunch. The poke itself was fantastically seasoned, marinated with strong flavors and great accompaniments of green onions and seaweed. It is a little salty if you choose to eat it alone, but it makes for a really well balanced bite with some rice and the sweet pickled cucumbers. For $17.95 + tax (Jan 2025), I think that they give you a large and generous portion!

Yelp
This is as authentic as it gets outside of Hawaii! The service is short and sweet - straight to the point, which I appreciate especially when I am on the verge of being hangry hehehe. I have never had a bad experience here and don't think I ever will. I usually will dine there or in my car because there is no way I can make it back home to LA without taking some BITES that will ultimately be me eating while driving. You know what keeps me coming back... THE SPICY EDAMAME. I know it's such a great supporting role for the hella fresh poke, but the spicy edamame takes the cake for me. Just so garlicky and full of flavor, I can never get enough. I usually do the sweet heat and another random one to spice things up lol. I wish it wasn't so far (or maybe I need to be closer?!?!?!) Anyway, see y'all again very, VERY soon xo

Yelp
This place has been on my radar for years and the last few times I've tried to come they were closed (and that was years ago). Today I made sure to make it in after trying another (bad) poke place nearby. The reviews are correct- this is the *closest* to true Hawaiian style poke I've had in Cali and I am happy I was able to try it! I got the original and shoyu large with cucumbers. Nothing to hide behind - no furikake, no seaweed salad, just basic and the fish quality is good and the flavors are well balanced. The pickles are also fantastic. The rice looked right when the guy scooped it but it was so dry, incredibly dry. Rice is just as important as the poke and that was not it. There was a line to the edge of the building but it went pretty quickly. The parking lot is small and steep so street parking is a better option for lowered cars. Not much ambiance as it's a few seats inside and walk through style ordering but they are efficient. Overall I enjoyed it and will be back (but I'll bring my own rice).
