9 Unforgettable Ice Cream Shops in the East Bay Perfect for Summer | Eater SF

"Located in a quiet strip mall in Fremont, Kabul Icy Treats Cafe offers Afghani desserts that are hard to come by in the East Bay. The sheeryakh, which is similar to the Indian kulfi, is the go-to pick here: delicate scoops of cardamom- and rose-water infused ice cream piled high and finished with crushed pistachios." - Lena Park

North Fremont’s stop for traditional Afghan sheeryakh and zhala—rosewater, pistachio, and silky textures made in small batches. A sweet cap to dinner in Little Kabul.

Great Afghan ice cream spot! We ordered the mango ice cream and the Sheerkayh, both were perfectly creamy and flavored (great breadth of spices). Definitely would come back for the dessert. Not much to say about service and wish the place was a bit cleaner (and that the furniture was in better shape). Came on a hot day so this was all more pronounced.

Not a paid ad, and I refuse to gatekeep: Craving ice cream on a warm day like today? Skip the chains and head to Kabul Icy Treats on Alvarado Boulevard. This isn’t your average scoop. It’s light, nutty, not too sweet, and so so so addictive you’ll wonder why you ever settled for anything else. The folks are super friendly and the place spotlessly clean. Right next door you’ll find Balkh Bakery & Deli. If you’ve heard about the Dubai chocolate craze but never tried it, now’s your shot. They’ve got the real thing!!!One bite and you’ll understand why people pack their suitcases with it. The chocolate melts in your mouth like it was made by gods. And don’t leave without grabbing some Bolani. It’s flaky, savory, and pure comfort food. So here’s the challenge. Next time you want a treat, forget the Costco samples and Whole Foods aisles. Do a two-stop crawl. First Kabul for ice cream, then Balkh for chocolate and Bolani. You’ll be supporting local, eating the best, and scoring bragging rights for knowing the amazing hidden gems right in our neighborhood.

Recently tried their famous Sheeryakh. Super refreshing and perfectly balanced (not overly sweet). The pistachio + rose combo is just 🤌🏽 mmm! Love that they stay open late, perfect spot to drop by after dinner.

Google
Tried sheeryakh for the first time and found it to be pretty tasty. We also tried the Afghan mango ice cream which was good too.

It was my first time here, tasty fresh burger and Sheer Yakh was so yummy!

Google
★★★★★ Best Sheryakh in Northern California! Hands down, the best Sheryakh I’ve ever had! The quality is outstanding—rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. Every bite is packed with authentic flavor, just like traditional Afghan-style Sheryakh. You can truly taste the freshness and attention to detail in the ingredients. If you’re looking for the real taste of Sheryakh in Northern California, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Google
I got the Sheeryakh and my partner got the Afghan mango ice cream. Starting with the Sheeryakh, it’s so beautifully delicate and effortlessly rich without being heavy or overwhelming. If ever a dessert could feel like a relaxed walk in the park with a loved one, this would be it. My partner got the mango ice cream and this was the star of the show, I was honestly envious of her for getting to eat more of this dessert than I did. On the first bite it felt like I actually had bitten into a fresh ripe mango from the motherland. The worst thing about this ice cream is that once we’d eaten it had gone.

Fahim Rahmani

Google
The ice cream (shiryakh) was disappointing. The texture was icy instead of creamy, and the flavor was bland with a strange aftertaste. It didn’t taste fresh, and the quality felt cheap compared to what I expected. Definitely not worth the price.

Yelp
We were randomly craving sweets after dinner and went on Yelp what's around and stumbled upon this place, especially since we've never had Afghan ice cream before. The inside was clean, bright and colorful. You purchase whatever you want through the kiosk, and we settled for the sheeryakh. After taking our first bite, we instantly loved it. The texture was really nice and the flavor wasn't overly sweet. Excited to come back and get this again and try the other items.

Yelp
FIRST TIME HAVING AFGHAN ICE CREAM I've eaten kabobs from Afghan eateries but not ice cream. I went here two Thursday nights ago, but the place was packed so I decided not to come inside. The following night just less than one hour before Kabul Icy Treats Cafe closed I came here. I decided to order the zhala because the sweet noodles sounded intriguing. When I took a bite of the zhala the texture was nutty due to the pistachios. The sweet noodles were pleasant. The texture of the sweet noodles was similar to grass jelly in Taiwanese boba or macapuno strings in Filipino halo-halo. I enjoyed my first time having Afghan ice cream at Kabul Icy Treats Cafe I came back the following day. This time I ordered the sheeryakh. The milk in the bowl had a taste similar to Greek yogurt. The scoop had an outer shell yet inside texture was like sherbet. Even though I enjoyed both ice creams I preferred the sheeryakh than the zhala. At Kabul Ice Treats Cafe what I noticed from both ice cream items is they're not too sweet. What was also surprising is you think with the portions these ice creams would be heavy. They weren't heavy at all. Both times after eating these ice creams I didn't feel bloated. If at night I'm craving for ice cream, Kabul Icy Treats Cafe is the place to go.

Yelp
Located in a quiet Union City strip mall, Kabul Icy Treats offers a unique dessert that you'd be hard-pressed to find. The Sheeryakh was a dish of their handmade Afghan ice cream, served as a sort of sundae on top of a pool of milky cream, all topped with crushed almonds/pistachios, rose water, and rose petals. The scoops of ice cream were sweet and creamy, while the milky cream had a more neutral flavor, and the two components paired nicely together, along with the crushed nuts and rosewater. In addition to traditional Afghan ice cream, they also offer several flavors of creamy soft serve, including Afghan mango, which had a nice fruity flavor (as it was made with real fruit) and creamy texture. I thought the soft serve was even better than the Sheeryakh, but both made for refreshing treats on a hot day!

Yelp
Bad customer service rude people work here lately. Horrible DoorDash delivery small portions and milky leaking off their cheap food containers. Charging more and portions size change. The place is not friendly or clean the garbage can by the door smells like dead body. Please fix these issues we are facing constantly due to lazy workers.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Afghan ice cream, and it was such a sweet surprise after enjoying an incredible full-course Afghan lunch. It served as an excellent culinary introduction to the culture. Kabul Icy Treats did not disappoint! Inside, you can place your order at one of the kiosks near the counter. There are booths to sit and enjoy your treat, complete with TVs and lively, colorful decor. The ice cream is light and creamy, featuring floral and fragrant flavors. I believe we tried the "ZHALA," which is their authentic handmade Afghan ice cream made with milky cream, sweet noodles, shaved ice, cardamom, pistachio, almond, rose water, and rose petals. Although I'm not usually a fan of rose-flavored treats, I absolutely loved this one. It is very different from American ice cream and Italian gelato; this was a delicately floral, sweet treat with a variety of textures. Definitely have to try this if you never had Afghani ice cream.

Yelp
I loved their fresh mango ice cream! So creamy with a hint of cardamom. Would definitely visit again on a hot day.

Yelp
Randomly wanted sweets after lunch and we found this place. It's in a small plaza with plenty of parking. We had the sheeryakh and it was AMAZING! It was my first time having it and it was so good. My sister and I wanted to just share a small serving but after we finished that one quickly, we ordered another serving! lol All the flavors from the milk, ice cream, pistachio, and the rose combined were perfect. There is a kiosk where you can order from or you can also order at the counter. The ice cream was not super sweet which was great because this made the dessert refreshing and not heavy. I would like to come back here again and bring my family and friends.

Yelp
I don't want to give a negative review to this place but rather advice. Please don't put too much red syrup and too little icecream As you did with me. I felt I was eating chemicals and food dye the whole time. I had to throw it out. Plus, it's too expensive for what it's worth. I'd rather spend $11 on a slice of cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.

Yelp
Ice cream after 9pm, especially important when almost nothing else is open! Walk in to 8 booths for 4, a mom and pop place that serves afghan desserts and for some reason, a yummy sausage "burrito"! Great traditional ice cream with that hint of cardamum and seeing the bits of pistachio is nice work to be eaten quickly! Gets very busy for post meal visits from the local afghans. Would come back if in union city or Fremont.

Yelp
This was my first-time trying Afghan ice cream and Kabul Icy Treats does NOT disappoint! Also added bonus is that it's opened relatively late in comparison to other businesses in the area. Perfect for if you want a sweet treat after dinner. You order at either of the 2 kiosk stations near the counter and pick up your order after. There was a couple families and groups of people there too, so you can tell that this is a community favorite as well. We got the large ZHALA which is their authentic handmade Afghan ice cream made with milky cream, sweet noodles, shaved ice, cardamom, pistachio, almond, rose water and rose petals. I enjoy rose flavored things (teas, macarons, etc.) so this was a delicately floral, sweet treat that didn't taste grossly artificial. The nuts also added a textural bonus to it. The large was enough to share between 3 full adults after dinner. Good stuff would love to come back to sample more of their menu. PS. The stock images with the watermark on them in their establishment is good for a laugh lol.

Yelp
The entire shop was cute with bright colors and fun lights strung around. They had the TV playing a show the whole time we were there; it definitely made the spot feel homey and casual. I believe there's an option to order at the counter, but I opted to use the self-serve kiosk, which worked well too. There were a few typos on the order screen, but they were minor enough that you could still understand what it was supposed to say. But the absolute star of the show was the sheeryakh! I also tried the zahla, but the noodles in the zahla don't do much for me. The sheeryakh on the other hand tastes identical without the noodles, and it was yummm. The rose medals and cardamom added a lot to make the dessert fragrant, and the milky cream helped to dilute the sweetness of the ice cream.
google avatar

Sherica G.

Yelp
This is my first time having Zhala. I liked the ice cream in milky cream. The sweetness is just perfect. I am still quite unsure on how I feel about the noodles, but it does add a good texture. Daughter ordered Sheeryakh, almost simikar to Zhala, but with almonds and without the noodles. She said it was good.
google avatar

Sofi P.

Yelp
Ice cream is light and creamy, notes of floral and fragrant flavors. Definitely have to try this if you never had Afghani ice cream Different from American ice cream and Italian gelato Owner is welcoming, kind and friendly. There are moments it gets crowded snd bustling with customers. Give your tastebuds an adventure

Yelp
At first I was taken aback by the spices in this ice cream (cardamom?) but with each bite it tasted better and better! affordable and unique!

Yelp
I CANNOT STOP THINKING ABOUT THE AMAZING ICE CREAM I HAD AT KABUL ICY TREATS CAFE THE OTHER DAY. Did my friend and I spend $20 on ice cream? We sure did and it was totally worth it! I love all kinds of ice cream and I have never had this Afghan treat before. Both options are kind of like a sundae. One is like a skyscraper with 3 scoops of ice cream, while the other one is more soup like. Both had pistachios, almonds, rose water, rose petals and the fabulous milky ice cream. Incredible in every bite! The zhala has a bit more texture from the sweet noodles and shaved ice. I cannot wait to drive 35 to 40 minutes to get this again. It was sooooo good, that I kept on saying wow, probably over 20 times. Ordering is simple on the touch screen kiosk and the staff brings out your order after a few minutes. Get it, go get it now! Thank me later.

Yelp
Stopped by with a friend for a sweet treat. We tried the sheeryakh and it was not too sweet. The pistachio and rose petals add a hint of floral and nutty flavor to each creamy bite. The booths are nice to sit in and the checkered floors give the place a bit of a retro feeling. Stopping by next time to try more flavors.
google avatar

Cristal B.

Yelp
Cute and quaint little mom and pop shop! I loved the flavor and uniqueness of the Sheeryakh. It has a nice hint of rosey, tea, pistachio sweet taste which I really appreciated! It wasn't too sweet for my taste either. Definitely recommend as a first try to afghan desserts (:;
google avatar

Nancy P.

Yelp
Tried sheer yakh for the first time here and really enjoyed it! It was refreshing for the warm weather and not too sweet, which was perfect for me. The little crunchy bits are my favorite part. The service was really good and they were very accommodating to my bf's pistachio allergy. Overall, would recommend this spot for some authentic Afghan dessert.
google avatar

Yelp
Kabul Ice Treats popped up on my recommended desserts around Fremont. I've never tried afghan ice cream but I love trying new things. I ordered the sheeryakh with the tablet in the front, and it came out in a few minutes. The flavor of the sheeryakh was a mix of ginger, cardamom, rose, and milk. The toppings included some sweet cream (?) and pistachios. When I tried to get the ice cream with my spoon it had a bit of an icy consistency. All in all a very tasty ice cream! The flavors are definitely different than the normal ice cream but it was a treat to try something different :)
google avatar

Stuart C.

Yelp
What can I say. Plenty of parking and places to sit inside the cafe. The ice cream was refreshing and delicious. The sweetness from the milk mixed with the texture of the ice cream was amazing. You're also next to balkh which has delicious cream rolls. Win win.
google avatar

Harshdeep W.

Yelp
Amazing sheeryakh! Never disappoints and always hits the spot . Happy to be a repeat customer. It is a must stop for me when I'm passing on this side of the city
google avatar

Yogibear C.

Yelp
Authentic Afghani ice cream. Good and quick service. Relaxed ambience with a lot of family people visiting as regular customers. I loved the serving portions and taste is simply too good.
google avatar

Heena C.

Yelp
Came here after seeing so many pictures of zhala. Just had to try it. I must say it's worth the hype. We ordered a small zhala which came with 3 scoops of ice cream and some nuts and vermicelli. The ordering process is very simple. They have a self ordering kiosk and they'll text you after the order is ready. The store wasn't super big, just enough seats to enjoy a quick dessert. This place is open late night and it was quite crowded on Saturday. Totally coming back to try other ice creams.
google avatar

Yelp
Super delicious falooda kulfee and they have fresh juices. Amazing place to go out with friends and family to enjoy juice and ice creams. Highly recommended
google avatar

Johana M.

Yelp
This is the best place to get sheryakh in the Bay Area! Tried other places and does not compare to Kabul Icy treats! Is so creamy and flavorful, with the perfect balance of rose milk and ice cream. The portions are also really good for the price. Will definitely continue to be my go to place for sheryakh!
google avatar

Jennifer E.

Yelp
Place is a little worn but feels family run. Vegan soft-serve!! Mango cardamom was heavily spiced, which I loved. It was different but I was craving soft-serve.
google avatar

Shasha K.

Yelp
If I could base a review off of just the ice cream it would be 5 stars - the Sheeryakh is a MUST TRY. But it's 3 stars because you will WAIT due to terrible and slow service (both dine-in and take-out) and lack of communication. Take-out isn't an option because packaging is cheap so expect half of everything to spill - and WAIT. I came here three times, but to come here you have to be having a bad pregnancy craving or be willing to wait as long as you would for a busy full-menu restaurant despite the over average prices! Here is why: Dine-In: the soft serve ice cream is almost always sold out. The other ice creams require at least a 30min wait and the place is absolutely packed. If you call 30min before to place an order they will tell you "It will be ready in 30min" then you get it the place and you get an excuse "sorry we didn't get to your order" and then you have to wait once again 20-30min. Btw no apologies are given. Take-Out: Same issue with ordering over the phone. Even if you call in advance your order will not be ready on time. For us, despite calling it was over a hour before we got our "take out" ice cream (we ordered, came, wasn't ready, came back, still wasn't ready). To make matters worse the ice cream comes in the plastic containers used for solid food - so if you order Sheeryakh half of everything will fall into the takeout bag and you lose the sauce. We had 4 orders and all 4 were absolutely destroyed like this - this is despite the fact that it's expensive ice cream ($8.99/order). So I basically paid over $50 for nothing.

Reshad A.

Yelp
This place is not the same as use to be when they opened horrible service now and Sheeryak and Zalal doesn't taste the same as before and tables floor r always dirty not clean I will Not go there anymore

Yelp
Kabul Icy Treats Cafe is where Lucky Hair Salon was. it's between the bakery and the Halal market. inside seating only (limited to 20 minutes after ordering). lots of parking. offerings: fruit cuts, smoothies, juices., ice creams, specials eats: Sheeryakh (8.99) 3 scoops of afghan ice cream stacked high flavored with rose water, sprinkled with pistachios & almonds. -basically frozen milky cream. similar to Indian kulfi ice cream but made different. -the ice cream isn't stable, it leans, it almost fell over a few times. i ate it asap before it totally crumbled. -deliz, didn't have any aftertaste nor off notes. -the pricier zhala has shaved ice and sweet noodles added. go for it if u like noods. drips: -available to go but wouldn't chance it. doubt it travels well in the heat. stack of ice cream can also tumble at any time. -6 flavors of ice cream available by the cup/cone.

Rita A.

Yelp
Hella good zhala highly recommended Afghan sweets & handmade ice cream don't sleep on it

Yelp
A very quaint and veritable find !!! Thanks to my Fellow Yelp Elites, we got to know of this place. And our long drive to this place was well worth it ! The Sheeryah was a hit with both, kids and seniors in our group, while the Zhala (pronounced Zho-la) was my fav with vermicelli and rose syrup ( only on request ) We will be back for more very soon! A shoutout to Wali , who was managing the store and took good care of us

Yelp
My better half came to know about this beautiful hidden gem from his other Yelpers connect .... We were eagerly waiting to have a taste of Sheeryakh since we never had it before .... we couldn't wait for the weekend so finally we decided to try out today with our close family ...... When we reached the place we saw there were ample parking space which is a good thing, since we reached week day after 6.30 pm the parking lot was very much empty... As soon as we entered we were graciously greeted by Walli the owner who was very friendly & gave us some background about the dessert & what to expect since we never ate this dessert before. We ordered couple of - Sheeryakh - Afghan ice cream with milky cream & dry rose petals & generous sprinkle of pistachio. Sheeryakh is the most famous and amazing dessert enjoyed a lot in Afghanistan. Sheeryakh simply means frozen milk or even milk in Dari language. Sheer yakh is authentic handmade Afghan ice cream. With it's unique flavors, it makes this ice cream quite special and worthwhile tasting. We all fell in love with this unique ice cream. It's very light & not overly sweet compared to all the other ice creams we have tasted . This was over in few mins....I loved it very much!!! Zhala - Shaved ice with sweet noodles added with authentic Afghan ice cream , dry rose petals & sprinkle of pistachio chunks & powder. This reminded me of Falooda ( Indian ice cream) due to the noodles but made very differently , when we tasted it first we felt something is missing but then remembered Wali told us to add rose syrup ( which we call Rooh Afza which literally means Soul Refresher) we have grown up drinking this especially during summer....this did the trick for us ... completely changed the taste !!! It disappeared within mins... Rooh Afza is a critical ingredient for Falooda ... some history about it .... A falooda is a Mughlai Indian version of a cold dessert made with noodles. It has origins in the Persian dish faloodeh, variants of which are found across West, Central, and South Asia. Traditionally it is made by mixing rose syrup, vermicelli, and sweet basil seeds with milk, often served with ice cream. 1 mango ice cream for the kid.... She loved it !! We all loved the ice cream & will definitely come back to try it again!!!! A True Hidden Gem !!! Thanks to all Yelpers for introducing us to this unique dessert.

Yelp
F O O D + Sheeryakh: Closest I can compare to is a less dense kulfi? Literally means frozen/cold milk in Dari + Zhala: This is sheeryakh but with rice noodles kind of like in falooda? S E R V I C E + Order at the front + Friendly and helpful, they even checked in on us midway + Only 2 other parties when we arrived around 8:45pm on a Friday A M B I A N C E + Casual, small ice cream shop + Great for friends/family or a casual date + Easy to find with ample parking in the lot T L ; D R Visited this new ice cream place on a whim from the suggestion of my husband to continue with the Afghan theme from dinner. First time trying Afghan ice cream, and I'm glad we decided to be adventurous! Portions are big enough to split between 2 people. You'll probably enjoy the sheeryakh and zhala if you like Persian or North Indian desserts which are abundant in rose, cardamom, and pistachio. I'm Asian and noodles in ice cream confuses my palette, so naturally I enjoyed the sheeryakh more. My husband liked the zhala but agreed the noodles diluted the sweetness in the zhala. Highly recommend trying both if you haven't already!

Sam M.

Yelp
Very nice little ice cream place! Ice creams are fresh and friendly staff. Been here few times always forget to write about it.

Romel J.

Yelp
Sheeryakh is amazing, best ice cream I've ever had! & I've had a lot of ice cream in my life lol. Service is awesome, inside is clean. Definitely worth a try, won't regret it.

Yelp
Try the mango ice cream. Sooo good. Not too sweet and comes with a hint of cardamom (?) or some sort of spice that balances it out. Such a hidden Fremont gem!
google avatar

Elyse P.

Yelp
My sister and I wanted to try Afghan ice cream and I'm so glad we did - it's soooo good!! We both got the sheeryakh. I've never had anything quite like it, creamy, sweet, but not heavy feeling. The combination of rose and pistachio is so delicious. I would definitely come back. The staff was so nice too, and I love the booths.

Yelp
Quick clean nice family spot. Making traditional old school Afghan ice cream. Nice place to visit on a hot day

Yelp
I love this place, they serve something unique & I recommend you giving something like this a shot! I love what they serve and the owner is a great & humble.

Yelp
This is my first time trying Afghani ice cream & I like it! A thicker consistency but creamy and refreshing flavor. Will come again

Yelp
The first unique ice cream café that offers traditional ice cream from Afghanistan and Iran. It is mainly enjoyed in the hot summers as a street food. My family and I enjoyed Kabul Icy Treats Cafe, newly opened in Fremont during the summer. When it first open it was super busy and it has limited seating I we took the ice cream to go. Personally I would suggest eating it at the restaurant to truly enjoy or if not in your car. The texture changes once it melts. I did return again with a group and a review is a must. They offer a Large selection of soft serve cone flavor vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and mango. They offer smoothies as well. They recently added Shor Nakhood: chickpea and potato salad infused in cilantro and vinegar that is served warm. The specialty ice cream: Zhalla and Sheer Yakh. Sheer Yakh means frozen milk dessert, better known as Sheer Yakh ice cream. Sheer yakh is served in small bowls that is topped with pistachios, thick fresh cream( qaymaq), and almonds. the texture is like rolled ice cream with a slight crunch it's infused with rose water flavor. Zhalla is similar to falooda same infused ice cream but placed upon rice noodles and topped with fresh cream, shaved almonds & pistachios Price was reasonable as it's freshly made and not out of carton Service over all was good due expect a wait time if ordering Zhalla and sheer yakh as it require time to prepare. My kids order the soft serve ice cream which they enjoyed but we not raving about. I did sample it and found it to be perfect not overly sweet. Explains why the kids didn't approve. I loved loved the Zhalla and sheer yakh. We order both to taste the difference. You can share but you won't want to share. This is a ice cream you can enjoy even on a cold night. It's not icy cold but truly enjoyable..

Yelp
This is a hidden gem for all sweet tooth enthusiasts. Among their delectable offerings, the mango softy stands out as an absolute must-try. Bursting with the natural sweetness and vibrant flavor of ripe mangoes, this soft-serve treat is perfectly creamy and refreshing. It's the ideal dessert to beat the heat or to simply satisfy your mango cravings. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere only add to the delightful experience. If you love desserts, especially anything mango, Great Desserts will not disappoint!

Yelp
Best damn ice cream in the Bay Area, freshly made, fantastic all around. Great Atmosphere, amazing customer service. This is another level of ice cream on god
google avatar

Joe R.

Yelp
Walked into their cafe on a Saturday night and there was not a single seat available, which is a testament to how great this place is. Due to no seats available, I ordered to go. I ordered the Sheeryakh with ground pistachio and rose petals. My first experience with Afghan ice cream and I have to say this is the best ice cream ever. If you are an ice cream lover like me, you need to come here! I wolfed down the giant fortress of ice cream they served me, and was licking the container. I gave some thought to consuming the plastic container so I wouldn't have to waste any ice cream remnants, but decided to just throw it away. I can come back again tomorrow.
google avatar

Nikita K.

Yelp
I really liked this place. Guys this is not your typical ice cream place. The ice cream is a little dense. But if you like middle eastern ice cream flavors this is it. You would love this one. So it is very different than European inspired ice cream stores. Service: Quick. We got a to go so don't have a perspective on in house Dining Ambiance: Simple not fancy

Emran A.

Yelp
Tried Sheryakh and zhala after six years it's super nice and the place is very clean and fresh, the stuff is friendly.thank you

Yelp
I loved this place, I ordered Sheeryakh Zhala as it has falooda too and my kids got Sheeryakh and mango ice cream. Since most of their other flavors were over. So, make sure you go there early. The service is great, there's kindness and love which is very special and rare. It's a must visit place. It's a small place in Fremont with a unisex restroom. You can sit and eat as well. The tables are kept in distance, it's a neat and clean place. One must try their ice cream, it's creamy and delicious.

Yelp
Mediocre. It's nice to have an establishment that specializes in Afghan Ice cream and advertises smoothies, drinks, etc. However, since is a new business there are still improvements to be made. I came here at the end of a hot night and it was very full inside. Most of the seats were taken and options were limited. Smoothies and juices were not available. You order then pay after you are served which could take some time depending on how busy it is. It's not very pleasant to go back and wait in line just to close the tab. It would be easier and time-saving to order and pay immediately. It cost me exactly $11.53 for one serving of Jala/Zala. They should offer different sizes to choose from such as small, medium or large. I felt bad that I could not finish mine and had a lot leftover that I could not take home with me.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place on a hot day craving for a smoothie. But then i noticed everyone inside seemed to be having a similar looking dish ... the owner said it was Sheeryakh an afghani ice cream and they were the only one to sell in the Bay area .So i had to try it ... Being indian I thought i'd tasted it all, but boy this was a unique flavor that left me speechless. The ice cream combination with nuts and rose water is delightful... Absolutely loved it .The portions were also massive , perfect to share with another adult. 100% recommend this place
