Yelp
Driving through St. George after touring some national parks and saw this well-rated sushi spot open for lunch so, decided to stop by. Overall, it was fairly average - nothing special but not awful. Fairly in line with your mid-grade sushi spots with loads upon loads of fusion roll selections - it seems like a Utah slash Vegas thing.
Ambiance - The interior is black, modern chic and clean. Excellent vibes for sure.
Service - The service was good. Friendly. Seated and served promptly.
Food -
Garden Salad - Just iceberg and standard Japanese ginger dressing. The water from washing the iceberg drips to the bottom and makes it soupy. Would recommend adding carrots or something other than iceberg. It felt lazy and basic. That said, it was only $3.95 so can't complain.
Ring of Fire Roll - This was spicy as advertised and loaded with imitation crab. They do cut their shrimp for the tempura shrimp into half or maybe even fourths so you get less of the shrimp punch.
TNT Roll - You can tell that the rice isn't seasoned or, if it is, it's def not done well. The spicy tuna tastes like tuna with too much sriracha and nothing else. Again, very, very tiny portion of shrimp tempura. At this price, you should get more shrimp.
Mussels - Just okay. Frozen for sure, not fresh.
In sum, this may be good for Utah, surrounding areas, but it's really average and could be better without cutting corners. Don't get me wrong, it's worth going to bc there aren't many options it seems.
