Amazing food! Though overall pretty fatty, not the healthiest if that’s what you’re looking for. Mango salad was underwhelming, but otherwise everything was delicious. The wait time was short too - only took around 10 min for the mains to be served. Halo halo shaved ice was probably the best dessert I’ve ever had. Not too sweet, the texture was layered and varied. Rich in flavor. Love.

My first time officially trying Philippine food, really interesting flavors, tastes vary. Big portions; staff was really nice and friendly. Space is small so reservations are suggested on weekends. However, the smell inside the restaurant would be strong when they are deep frying food. 🍴✨Deep fried spring roll was my favorite. It was filled with grounded meat and huge! Nice flavor with slight crispy skin. The pork belly was delicious, tender and juicy. But the fried pork skin came with meat was too hard. Coconut shrimp rice was a light one, pretty refreshing. Simple seasoned shrimps with mango slices. The rice was a little bit over cooked, kinda soggy. 💜🍨💛Ube ice cream the best! It was so rich and creamy with sauces and toppings. Definitely the must-order dessert. Ube buns were good too, but a little bit unflavored, so eat it with more sauces on the top.

Cozy and casually intimate spot for Filipino dishes. The pork sisig and the beef tapa binalot were excellent. The mango salad is also a refreshing choice to balance the savoury dishes with something more light. Super friendly staff too. Would recommend ideally for groups of 1-4 people.

I’ve honestly haven’t had such a great experience in a while, I performed here today and Chris (the bartender) showed nothing but kindness and a great conversation! I would have to say that he’s one of the best bartenders I’ve met hands down ✨ I rarely leave a review, but Chris and the restaurant deserve it.

Amazing food and service. Would recommend anyone who loves food, especially Filipino food to visit Kalye. My wife is Filipino and is a fabulous home cook and I have enjoyed home cooked Filipino for the last 19 years. For my wife to say this was some of the best food she has tasted is very high praise. Also loved the service as well and big thanks to Rich for making us feel so welcome and top class service. Cannot sing praises enough and please go visit and enjoy the food. Recommend Ube Sliders, Club 85 and Halo Halo.

The Boodle Fight Club is an incredible experience, especially for groups of 3 or more. It offers a Kamayan-style feast with a generous spread of delicious dishes like lechon, lumpia, longaniza, pork skewers, garlic rice, and veggies. It’s such a satisfying treat, and digging in with your hands makes the meal all the more fun and memorable! For dessert, we tried the Ube Pao. The bao was decent, with a creamy, custard-like filling, though the ube flavor was subtle and less pronounced than expected. The dining space is intimate, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal.

Great value for money! We ordered the smorgasbord for $85 and got heaps of delicious food. Rice was warm and well-cooked, it’s important to get this right as it’s the vessel for the rest of the indulgent meaty dishes. The tapa and pork skewers had the most distinct flavors. Wish the pork belly and lumpia were crispier. Place can get packed and there’s not a lot of space to maneuver if you order the big plates. Service was great, everyone was nice and accommodating.

I’m a big lover of Filipino food and highly recommend this spot for those who love it as well or just trying it for the first time. Kalye has two beautiful locations in the Lower East Side, this is their new Rivington st location, a space perfect for a date night situation.
