Kanomjeen is a must-try spot for authentic Chiang Mai local food, proudly holding the Michelin Bib Gourmand for 6 years. I really love it! The food is super delicious — highly recommended! The prices are unbelievably cheap; I didn’t think you could still find prices like this nowadays. You should definitely come and try it. Support the locals and enjoy the original, authentic flavor. I especially recommend the Khao Soi — it’s absolutely delicious!

Kanom Jeen Sanpakhoi is truly a hidden gem in Chiang Mai. 🍜 The curries are rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — simple dishes done exceptionally well. The local vibe adds to the charm, though parking can be a bit tricky and the heat is something to keep in mind. 😅☀️ Still, the taste makes it more than worth the trip. A must-try spot for anyone who wants an authentic Chiang Mai food experience.

Finally a place that gave me the same food as everone, from the same big pot. That little tomato in the soup was full of taste! Very good food, even if I rolled a tear (a happy one!) into my soup from how spicy it was and coughed a little bit after the first bite, I took some water, but then it was all good for me and I finished the food with relish. The first bites are when body is surprised but then it adapts. This was not even the most spicy ever. Noticed some tourists trow away perfectly good food, so just don't come here if you can't tolerate spicy.

This small noodle shop tucked inside the market is truly deserving of its Michelin Guide recognition. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious—simple, perfectly executed, and full of flavor. Despite being extremely popular with a long line, the operation is impressively well run, clean, and very organized, so the queue moves quickly. There’s also plenty of seating, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The quality you get for the price is outstanding. Excellent value for money, and a place we will definitely return to. Highly recommended.

Michelin recommended place Overall: 5/7 Nam-ngeaw (1): 4/7 Super spicy, noodles are good. Personally too spicy for me, but perhaps (3) would be better option in future. Gaeng-phed-neau (6) red beef curry: 5/7 Good, complex flavours. Much less spicy. Chicken kao soi (7): 6/7 Super good. Lots of depth and the noodles are fantastic.

Food very nice for it's price, not all varieties are suitable to our palate though. The place is inside local market, but it still clean and need to us to do self service counter and cleaning counter. Not a bad experience though.

Famous, and cheap too. I ordered a mix with pork blood and chicken. 40B. It is very spicy to my taste, but is okay. I finish it all. 2025: Green curry chickin 30 ฿ , plus crunch pork 20 ฿. The price is same as last year. Has English menu on the signage. Cash only please It is spicy for my taste, but still I wanted it more because it is so good. I wish they put more curry broth for me. I wanna drink the curry 😂 (no wonder spicy) This is the shop I wanna come everyday if I could. Ps. Please return the plates properly after eating. Ps, Sundays closed 2024: No need to queue, just look carefully on the menu sign, decide what you want and tell the server. Pay upfront. Then find yourself a seat or order a drink as well. After meal please remember to put back the bowls to the designated area and help make this place clean and tidy.
