The 15 Best New Restaurants in Paris | Eater

"After launching Bobi, one of the first Filipino restaurants in Paris, Jessica Gonzales and Aurélie Véchot have added to the Oberkampf section of the 11th arrondissement with Kapé. The sharply designed Filipino coffee shop features a short but sweet menu of snacks and specialty drinks. Check out the adobo dip, a reimagination of chicken adobo, and the arroz caldo (a rice porridge with chicken, egg, ginger, and garlic). Follow it up with dessert classics like the puto, a steamed rice cake served with coconut jam, or the silvanas, classic Filipino sandwich cookies, done here with two cashew dacquoise cookies around a filling of chocolate mousseline cream and coated in chocolate crumbs to resemble an Oreo. You’ll also find soft serve, pandesal, and ube lattes. Located in the 11th arrondissement." - Lindsey Tramuta

I visited Kappé in Paris to try the trending “ube”, and it was a lovely experience! It’s a small café with really nice decoration and a cozy atmosphere. We tried the ube milk it was refreshing, tasty, and definitely worth it. We also had the ube crinkle cookie: it wasn’t bad, but not something I would personally crave. Finally, we tried the ube soft serve, which was good. Overall, a great spot if you’re curious about ube and want a chill café experience!

Visited this Filipino cafe with specialty in sweet potato, their ube latte tasted good and the pandezal bread was amazing, it was soft and chewy, the garlic butter suits it very well!

A cozy spot! The bright decor really sets a happy vibe that makes you want to stick around. The staff was super friendly too, giving me lots of recommendations. You have to try the Pandesal—it’s got this amazing soft, mochi-like inside and a crisp crust. Paired with the fresh crema and jam, it’s honestly so tasty. I went for the Ube Latte since I don’t like super sweet drinks, and it was perfect. The ube flavor came through just enough without overpowering the coffee. The Ube Milk was a bit sweeter, with a nice hint of coconut and taro. And don’t skip the Ube soft-serve ice cream! It’s topped with coconut sprinkles, adding the perfect crunch, and goes so well with the Pandesal.

The Adobo burger is a must try! The sauce brings out the flavor of the meat in the burger. It is a simple ad filling snack! The ube themed items in the menu is delicious as well! I will be back to try the other dishes. The service and atmosphere is great! Kudos!

Awesome place, to remember your trip in the Philippines or just to discover a bit about it. You ll have amazing Ube ice cream 🍨 with coffee ☕ (Ubeffogato) , and very tasty desserts. Kudos to the owners, 2 young amazing women who did a great job with the place. We love there 💕 Note : After taking your coffee and desserts there in the afternoon, go eat to their restaurant a bit further called Bobi to have very good Fillipino dishes like the Adobo, Bicol or Kare Kare 👍

The Paris coffee scene has exploded and is becoming saturated, so how can a shop stand out? Well, this one is a Filipino coffee shop featuring Ube coffee drinks - unique, colorful, and delicious! (Non Ube coffee was also good!) “Ube is a purple yam that is native to Southeast Asia and predominantly used in Filipino cuisine. This starchy tuber has a distinct purple-colored flesh that varies in shade and features a nutty, vanilla flavor. It is often used in desserts, from cakes to ice creams, to provide sweetness and color.” - the Internet
