"After launching Bobi, one of the first Filipino restaurants in Paris, Jessica Gonzales and Aurélie Véchot have added to the Oberkampf section of the 11th arrondissement with Kapé. The sharply designed Filipino coffee shop features a short but sweet menu of snacks and specialty drinks. Check out the adobo dip, a reimagination of chicken adobo, and the arroz caldo (a rice porridge with chicken, egg, ginger, and garlic). Follow it up with dessert classics like the puto, a steamed rice cake served with coconut jam, or the silvanas, classic Filipino sandwich cookies, done here with two cashew dacquoise cookies around a filling of chocolate mousseline cream and coated in chocolate crumbs to resemble an Oreo.
