"This McLean restaurant has been serving customers since 1980, excelling at traditional Turkish dishes served in generous portions. Start with the imam bayildi — stuffed baby eggplant served cold — or the meze platter ($17.95 for two). The spit-roasted doner kebab is a must-try special, but all of the lamb entrees are popular. Chef-owner Zeynel Uzun is typically in the dining room dishing out a bit of Turkish hospitality." - Aparna Krishnamoorthy

"The orange baklava, doner kebab and moussaka a la Turk at Kazan are fit for a queen — literally. As a young chef in 1971 at Istanbul’s eponymous Topkapi Palace, Kazan owner and chef Zeynel Abdin Uzun made the dishes for Queen Elizabeth II during her state visit to Turkey. Aside from engaging in culinary diplomacy, Uzun’s halal restaurant has been a McLean mainstay since opening in 1980." - Lenore Adkins

This place really is terrific. All for the staff were very welcoming and you could see that there are many regulars and they are treated like family. Very open and comfortable venue. The food was great! My wife and I have had Turkish food all over the country and some places overseas and this has risen to our new favorite. My lamb was so tender it fell of the bone and was delicious. The appetizer sampler was great as well. We finished diner with a Turkish coffee and baklava and it was perfect. Thank you so much. We’re only here for a week and will probably visit twice!

First impression was that the staff are very receptive and welcoming. The restaurant has an authentic atmosphere and great seating arrangements. The menu has a wonderful array and variety of options, with the donor made onsite on limited days being a special. Presentation of food was wonderful, we orders starters with borek, mezze all being good and a standard that’s acceptable but nothing beyond. Mains was donor, which I found pretty average and desserts mediocre. On the whole, great restaurant, staff atmosphere 5* but food essentially lets it down. I didn’t ask, but as Turks I believe the food was Halal and also reliably informed by the entourage present that all foods are halal.

It’s soooooo goooood! I wish I had taken more pictures of the food. You just can’t miss eating here. I found them thanks to the article on Arlington Magazine. The chef, his son, and his brother, who are on the pictures of the article, were at the restaurant and I noticed they greeted every table. The service was great, thoughtful, and super helpful. All the food and drinks were delicious and beyond. So flavorful, authentic, and varied. We had a special of the day with scallops and a Turkish Moussaka. The Turkish coffee was delicious and the desserts were out of this world: a Turkish style rice pudding dessert and the orange baklava (which Nancy Reagan (First Lady of the US in the 80s) once ordered for a state dinner. While living in Turkey, the chef was recruited to cook for the then-President of Turkey at Topkapi Palace in Ankara. I really really really highly recommend you go to this restaurant.

Google
It's a really comfortable, quiet place, the photo below makes it seem bright, but that's just because my phone adjusted the brightness according to my camera. There was a huge choice of items on the menu including vegetarian, lamb, chicken, beef, and fish. There was a full set of appetizers, desserts, wine and beer. I had chicken in mushroom sauce with rice pilaf, it came with a salad. It was a lot of food for one person to eat, and it was delicious.

Nestled in Virginia, Kazan Restaurant offers a captivating dining experience with its elegant ambiance and exquisite Turkish cuisine. From succulent kebabs to flavorful mezes, each dish is a masterpiece of vibrant flavors. Impeccable service and warm hospitality complete the experience, making Kazan a must-visit destination for anyone craving an unforgettable culinary journey.

Google
Halal restaurant serving authentic Turkish food. One of the few restaurants I keep returning to year after year. A hidden gem, family owned and run. Very respectful and cordial. Albanian liver and doner kebab are to die for. Not a Michelin star establishment but more enjoyable than many of them. True comfort food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kazan restaurant and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality. The menu offered a wide variety of traditional Turkish dishes, each bursting with flavor and authenticity. We started with the meze special, which was a perfect combination of hummus, haydari, stuffed grape leaves and more. Adana kebab was just perfect and delicious. The service throughout the meal was exceptional. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure that I had the best dining experience possible. Overall, I highly recommend Kazan restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere all exceeded my expectations, and I cannot wait to return and try more of their delectable dishes.

We chose this restaurant based on a recommendation from a trusted waitress at Agora, who had previously worked here. Arriving with my wife and our 1-year-old baby, our experience was unfortunately marred by a less-than-welcoming atmosphere. The elderly hostess, in particular, made us feel as though our presence was an inconvenience. Despite numerous empty tables indoors, we were seated in the back corner under a tent on a cold evening. While I understand the importance of reservations, I found the hostess's demeanor disrespectful. Our waiter, however, was a shining exception. He was courteous and gentlemanly, providing the only positive aspect of our visit. Regrettably, the restaurant fell short in terms of family-friendliness, with a broken high chair further highlighting the issue. Turning to the food, the lentil soup was satisfactory, but the doner kebab left much to be desired. The meat lacked flavor and was excessively oily, resulting in a disappointing culinary experience. The rice, as depicted in the attached photo, was disappointingly mushy. Having sampled doner kebabs across various states and restaurants in the US, I can confidently say that this was the most unsatisfactory meal I have ever encountered. I hope the management takes note of these observations for the benefit of future patrons.

Yelp
I think this restaurant is very authentic and maybe I just don't love really authentic cuisine, so I went with the 4 stars. I thought the food was good, but my friends and I didn't love anything we got. We got several dishes and shared. I remember there were a few dishes we did not even know what we were eating. We were confused whether an eggplant dish we got was the eggplant or hummus, for example. I did enjoy the wine (pictured), but did not get any photos of the food, probably because we were a little under-impressed. I was pleased they allowed us to bring a dessert without charging a plating fee. The owner/hostess was very friendly and kind.

Yelp
Love finding these little gems! Needed a quick takeaway lunch. The decor is really lovely, would love to have stayed but didn't have time. The waitstaff was warm and friendly, the young man who took my order also very thoughtfully packaged my food and included a generous portion of free baklava. Everything was fresh and delicious, will be back again soon

Yelp
February 3 held our annual dinner party Very quiet, family atmosphere The food was fantastic. Service was exceptional highly recommend the restaurant!!!!!!

Yelp
Recently moved to McLean and have been looking for the hidden gems that this town goes to! We found Kazan and decided to try them out. It's a cute family own restaurant and the service is great. Very nice waiters, nice atmosphere, and good food. We started with the grilled halloumi that was fantastic! My husband got the lamb shish kabob and I got the doner kabob special (only available on certain days). My husband enjoyed his food and thought it was better than mine. I got the doner with the yogurt and what tasted like pita on the bottom. I think I would've liked it with some rice because I don't like the soggy texture. Still good though. We ended with the rice pudding and that was reallllyyy delicious!

Yelp
This place was opened in 1970s and it is decorated pretty well with good outdoor seating. The service was good and the food had a big portion.

Robin R.

Yelp
The service was superb. The food was excellent. It was a very friendly place. The restaurant was great.

Yelp
My family has been coming to Kazan's for over 25 years! We've celebrated countless birthdays, graduations, holidays & more here so it holds a very special place in my heart! The food is authentic and always delicious - literally I've never had a bad meal here in my entire life. Our favorites include the lamb shank & doner kebab. We often order the appetizer sampler because it has a little bit for everyone. Every meal comes with salad & pita bread as well. You literally can't go wrong here!

Julie J.

Yelp
I really like this nice place and enjoy food there. Coffee taste so fresh and good, Kazan burger special is so delicious , thanks I found naan there, love it. I will tell my friends to go there have a great taste. 这个土耳其风味儿的店好吃,馕饼香,咖啡新鲜特别一定要喝,烤羊肉米饭,烤羊肉汉堡都不错,推荐。

Aarti B.

Yelp
Authentic Turkish mom and pop restaurant with lots of meaty options and great homey service. Highly recommend the lentil soup! Vegetable Musakka (3/5) - Left more to be desired. The roasted eggplant topped with a coat of melted cheese was tasty, the mixed vegetables of green beans, carrots, corn, peas were out of a frozen box and a miss. The fresh medley of vegetables would really elevate the flavor. While the Eggplant Moussaka was a miss, there were plenty of sides that rounded out the meal equipped with lentil soup, pita, and a side salad with delicious dressing! The staff is super nice and kindly swapped out the rice pilaf for the lentil soup - glad I asked for it! The lentil soup is a puree full of flavor with a generous serving. Would be nice to see more vegetarian dishes on the menu. If you're looking for authentic Turkish food, try Kazan!

Yelp
Food was 6/10 The reason for the 3 stars is the service. The waiter made us feel that he's having a bad day and just wanna take the order and go. I didn't even finish ordering and he just left like he's doing us a favor!! I don't recommend

Clayton R.

Yelp
If they ever allow us to give six stars on Google, I'll come back and revise this for the bonus star, that's how much I enjoyed my lunch here. From the service, to the decor, and especially to the food, Kazan just does such an excellent job on all facets. Highly suggest just checking this place out. I wasn't even all that familiar with Turkish cuisine and I will be coming back here any and every time I'm in the area!

Abubakr R.

Yelp
Kazan markets the fact that they have been open for 42 years so we had high expectations going in. Plenty of indoor seating with a bar, chill atmosphere with fitting music. Clean bathroom with no odor. They have outside seating with open doors which was nice to have on this warm evening. Very attentive staff, especially our server Mahmood. He was friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and felt at home. My family and I all enjoyed our entrees. My mom ordered the Adana Acili which she enjoyed. I got the Country Style Chicken which shocked me in its presentation - the yogurt sauce, spinach/tomato bed, chicken and rice had equal portion sizes which excited me. Not only was it a satisfying eat because of the equivalent portion sizes, the taste was great. If you're looking for a balanced meal, this is the right dish for you. I've never been too much of a fan of tomatoes either but Kazan managed to make them appetizing for me. To finish off the evening I ordered the Orange Baklava a la Kazan (nut-free) which had a great crunchy texture and delicate inside. Kazan does it special and tops it with whipped cream to make it an oranges and cream miracle. If I could I would rate this 6 stars. Thanks for giving us a wonderful evening.

Eric J.

Yelp
Three of us had a lovely lunch. I don't have much experience with Turkish food, but do know the rather similar Greek side. I had Turkish Moussaka, which was the best version of the dish I have had in this area. Very tasty. The rice pilaf was good as well; not too dry as some can be. Service was very good. I hope to return soon.

M W.

Yelp
Another great meal at this fantastic restaurant! Aihan and the crew did a fantastic job. Everything was absolutely delicious. Great way to celebrate my birthday.

Thomas L.

Yelp
Very attentive staff, food was amazing. I had the sample platter starters and the Doner Kabab. Very authentic food. Restaurant was very clean and has a wide variety on the menu. Did get to see Newt Gingrich and his wife which was pretty cool.

John F.

Yelp
Horrible bland (as in tastes like cardboard) not well cooked food which took an hour to get with a rude waiter that acted like he was doing us a favor. It's an insult for the Turkish cuisine and anyone who wishes to enjoy a nice evening out. Ambiance is like a family dinner with plastic table covers and most dishes were $40 for less than mediocre food. Avoid!

Redha H.

Yelp
The restaurant maimed well ever time we go there, the owner is always take care of us. The food is very delicious and quality doesn't change

Dog Z.

Yelp
Meh. We came here to try the Doner Kebab and were underwhelmed. It was rather bland and soggy. I also found it hard to justify paying nearly $30 for a relatively small plate of meat shavings that would only cost 4-5 euros in Europe and come wrapped in a durum with all the accompaniments. This is more of the tame Turkish place where retired gringos from McLean go to be seen and spend a lot of money.

Evan M.

Yelp
Hidden gem in McLean? 1000%! We have been coming to Kazan's for as long as I can remember. From the very friendly owner, Zenelle, and staff, to the delicious and authentic Turkish cuisine, to the atmosphere, this is 5 stars! We will 1000% percent be returning soon!!

Nilsu G.

Yelp
Kazan has easily become our go-to Turkish restaurant in the DMV area. Both the food and the service are very consistent. The meat dishes stand out and my favorite is the Haleb Kebab with extra yogurt. If you are looking for a nice selection of meze, a nice ambiance, and good Turkish kebabs you should give it a try. Our friends at Kazan even kindly cooked a special Black Sea turbot- the Turkish kalkan- for our party.

BrooklynNYfoodie Y.

Yelp
Bland and cold food. Definitely did not taste like authentic Turkish. Half the items in a traditional restaurant were not even on the menu of this restaurant. Very disappointed!

Erica L.

Yelp
Just love, love, loved this gem of a restaurant! Hands down some of the best Turkish food I've ever had, even in Turkey. The service was fantastic throughout and the manager/owner came to check on us mid-way through, which we appreciated as he seemed like he genuinely wanted to make sure we were doing well. My only issue now is that it's going to be very hard to not order every single thing that I ordered on my last visit because everything was out of this world! Here's what I got: - Imam bayildo (stuffed, luscious whole eggplant, which is served cold; not spicy at all, one of the best eggplants I've ever had, and I like me some eggplant) - Amavut cigeri (chunks of liver, lightly breaded, just packed with flavor, yet light, seemingly spiced just a tad to give it some zing, some of the best liver I've ever had) - Adana acili (juicy minced lamb with pickled onion, spiced yoghurt, tomato, rice, and pita was really balanced, really well done) - Rice pudding dessert (which we got on the house since we were newbies to the restaurant, had a pannacotta-like texture, albeit slightly more firm, then with a layer of a light grain or sugar on top, that bruleed just a bit to add some sweetness and char) The restaurant is quite large and has a nice covered patio with plenty of outdoor seating. The corner bar is just beautiful -- it sparkles with a bunch of glass and crystal and tiles. This is really such a lovely place. I can't wait to go back!

Miral Can Ş.

Yelp
I love this that is very good restaurant turkish food in the world mama mia in the world

Brian R.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic when we visited on a weeknight recently. That their doner kebab wasn't available when we dined didn't detract from the experience at all. After being warmly greeted upon arrival, we received excellent service throughout the meal. We started with the imam bayildi (stuffed eggplant served cold) and the arnavut cigeri (albanian style liver). Both were delicious, with excellent textures, especially the liver. For an entree, I shared the adana acili (lamb served with pickled onions, spiced yogurt, tomato, over rice and sliced pita). The lamb was juicy, and the flavors of the dish (creaminess of the yogurt, with the sour of the onions) complemented each other perfectly. Definitely try the rice pudding for dessert. Yelp lists the attire as "casual," but you could get away dressing up since the atmosphere is quite nice.

Sibel C.

Yelp
I have been fortunate to be coming here for sooooo many years! The owner and staff are so friendly and accommodating! Their food is sooooo good! Everything is literary delish and you will not be disappointed! I have probably tried everything on the menu LOL! No matter which night you go on, it is always packed in the restaurant, I would suggest making reservations. I love their decor and music and very inviting when you walk in. They are located in the shopping center where the Giant is and there is plenty of free parking. They also have outdoor seating when the weather is nicer and they a semi private room for parties. Here is some tips for first timers: For appetizer, I recommend getting the Kazan Meze Special so you can sample everything For entree, you cannot go wrong with your selection however my favorite is the Doner Kebab (which is only served on certain days) For dessert, I recommend getting the Mixed Dessert Tray for 2 so you can sample everything If you want delicious authentic Turkish food, please plan your visit soon and enjoy it all!

Bill H.

Yelp
This place is great for celebratory dinners. My wife and I first became acquainted with Kazan when we went there for one of her co-workers wedding receptions. Since then we've been back for Turkish coffee pastries and desserts. We also love the melt-in-your-mouth lamb shank. And the roast duck special is a treat! We are Chinese, but we don't always go for Chinese style roast or Peking Duck. So it's sometimes nice to have duck of a different preparation. I would say this is is more like an American or European style roast duck with a cherry sauce on the side serve with rice pilaf and some steamed vegetables.

Bassam A.

Yelp
This is one if not the oldest Turkish restaurants in the area! Recommend the orange juice !! 1) Levrek fish (Sea Bass or Branzino) 2) mixed grill

Sheila N.

Yelp
Honestly, I never thought I'd dislike Turkish food or give it such a low rating. Please allow me to explain. The restaurant is locating in McLean. It's in a nice shopping center off Chain Bridge Road. The staff was so welcoming from the time we walked in until the time we left. Their hospitality was on point, not just with us but all the guests in the restaurant. I noticed the crowd was a bit older and I suppose that's because of their high priced menu. We were certainly the youngest (if you consider 29 young... Lol)! The wait staff was very understanding when we informed them that we had to wait an additional 30 before ordering due to the fact that we were fasting. Our waiter was actually kind enough to bring out dates right at Iftar. He explained the dishes very well and made some good suggestions. Appetizer we decided to go with the feta cheese wraps (aka) sigara boregi. They have both meat and cheese but if suggest skip the meat and just go for the cheese! They were soooo good I had to get an order to go! Thei main dishes come with a side salad which I didn't even try honestly. I also did not have the pleasure of trying their warm fresh bread but heard it was delicious! Their lamb shish kabob and lamb shank were not very appetizing. I felt the dishes were both very bland. I couldn't taste anything. I ordered veggies instead of rice and they brought out a big slice of eggplant which was delicious! Ended the meal with some good old Turkish coffee which was perfect! They also offer Turkish tea. I don't k ow if I would go here again. The experience wasn't worth the $90 in my opinion but it doesn't mean that I would suggest it to anyone else. I may go back just for the sigara boregi and maybe to just try another dish.

Erhan E.

Yelp
Very good service and food. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Turkish cuisine.

Jon S.

Yelp
My first visit having dinner with the wife on a Friday night. The interior is classy and classic. Table clothes and properly attired waitstaff. We started with the Meze and found the assortment excellent and having great quality. We had the Lamb Kabob and the Kufte. Both were fantastic. The lamb was folk tender and prepared as ordered. The kufte could have been seasoned a little more but it too was great. Service is old school and top notch. The deserts were wonderful too. Definitely a come back place.

Deborah O.

Yelp
My favorite Turkish restaurant for years!!! Fantastic food and service. We all ordered the Doner Kabob which was wonderful but the Kefta Kabob is always wonderful also. Every time we've been -we all knew we'd be back. The owner is very hands on and making sure all customers are well taken care of by his very professional servers. A very nice ambience and atmosphere with Turkish art pieces everywhere. The bar is very small. We all had the Turkish "Efes" Pilsner beer which was very good. The Baklava desert was very fresh and delicious with our Chai. I highly recommend going to this favorite restaurant of so many for so long. We were back in town from Albuquerque, NM and made sure to go

M O.

Yelp
This is some of the finest food in McLean. It is a treat to dine here. The service is high end and the menu is very creative. I enjoy the lamb-chops and their filet mignon is the best steak in the area. They often offer a fish special which is always delicious. The side of rice and spinach is so flavorful. Also try the chocolate cake for dessert.

J D.

Yelp
Man, is this place great! We just moved to the neighborhood and were out tonight looking for snowmelt at Giant and CVS, which are next door. I had planned on cooking tonight, but we walked by and I had a sudden urge to get some Turkish food. We got three lamb kebabs and a lamb shank, and they were fantastic. The kebabs were perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the lamb shank just melted, as it should. Hummus was great, too. The service was also terrific, even though I was just doing takeout. Can't wait to go back!

Judy H.

Yelp
We have visited this restaurant for many years. Our family lived in Turkey and we love the cuisine. When we found out, years ago, that they had doner kebab, we were thrilled. In Ankara, where we lived, this was a special treat. Kazan did not disappoint. Over the years, they have kept a good standard, focusing on what they do well. I was thrilled that they were open Christmas Day. Service was great and food delicious , as always. It was a joy to return.

George S.

Yelp
Excellent food. It is like you are dining with Family. The owners make everyone feel special and important. Very authentic and they really support our community too. You are not in business over 35 years if you do not have quality.

Muhabbat Y.

Yelp
First time here and we liked everything so much. We were served with appetizer Meze platter for 1, and it was enough for two:) served with very beautifully designed. Included grilled sucuk and chicken that i haven't seen any other turkish places' Mezze. On wednesdays and i think Friday and Saturday evenings they serve Famous Doner kebab. It was so delicious and they bring it in the way how you ask them. When you are leaving owner stands up and give a thanks to every guests, which makes you feel yourself so special:) I will definitely come back again!

H Turgut G.

Yelp
Personal Favorites: Kuzu Kapama Style: Turkish Ambiance: Not too Fancy Service: Friendly and Good Note: I went there with my wife and son and friends multiple time. This is the Second Amazing Turkish Restaurant in the US. Their foods are AMAZING. Whatever you order, you will lick your fingers once you are done and prey to be back in Virginia:) I personally love Kuzu Kapama. Please look it up my english is not enough to explain. Just go there and eat eat eat.

Nada S.

Yelp
Thats what i call a real turkish food, i've been to many turkish restaurants all over the world but i haven't eaten any better than Kazan!!! Everything was perfectly cooked with a stunning taste from the starters to desserts! I definitely recommend the kunafe and eskandar kabab and seriously everything !! The restaurant is cosy and family oriented very friendly staff !! I was so proud and happy of everything !!

Rosanna B.

Yelp
Was visiting Northern Virginia and had this place recommend to my friend and I. I made a reservation about 1 week in advance and I highly reccomend one as it did get completely full once we arrived. For appetizers we ordered Dolma, Sigara Boregi with cheese and meat, and Sheapard Salad. The Sigars were hot and crispy. The dolmas were served cold and without yogurt or sour cream they were not my favorite. Salad was average. The real stars of the show were the entrees. I got the Doner (gyro) Special which is only served a few days a week. It was excellent the meat was tender and well seasoned. I asked for it over rice but our waitress forgot and served it over yogurt and pita which was soggy. But the lamb itself was great. My friend got Sish Kofte it was also flavorful and delicious and served with rice and broccoli. The service was not the best which is why I didn't give it 4*. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and forgetful. Once we finished dinner it took a while to get the check and we ended up asking the hostess to process our check Bc the waitress did not return after that. I am sure with a better waiter it would have been a much better experience as the food is really good.

Jessica S.

Yelp
This is a really great place: great food (never knew yogurt on rice and tomato sauce can be so tasty! Great lamb dishes as well) awesome service (the waiter won us over), great decor and music. Highly recommend for couples, families, anyone!

Bob H.

Yelp
Service is excellent and food is even better. The swordfish kabob is a Wednesday and Friday special. You will want to make a special trip just for it. Lots of regulars and it's speaks to why they've been so successful for so long. Coffee and backgammon might be an option as well.

Candace F.

Yelp
I have eaten here several times over the years - always for birthday celebrations. This restaurant is located in McLean in the same complex as Giant. When you dine here, it doesn't take long to understand why they've been in business for over 30 years! It's an extremely classy and wonderful place - in setting, service, and cuisine! The staff here is absolutely the best!! Friendly, courteous, professional, just perfect at what they do! And the food here is just amazing!! Today I got their Turkish omelette. It was one of the best omelettes I've had in years! My only regret is that I was so engrossed in conversation and eating that I forgot to take a picture of it. The The omelette was truly cooked to perfection with a wonderful mix of ingredients including feta cheese. It was served with french fries and a simple salad. My sister got her favorite dish - chicken shish kabob. It looked great too! It was her birthday, and the waiter brought out an apple dessert for her with a candle. It was followed by an extremely enthusiastic singing of happy birthday by the waiter! :) It was so cute! We split the apple dessert, and it was soooo yummy!!! It was a truly wonderful lunch, and I can't wait to go back again! However, I'm no longer waiting for another birthday to come here! I'm going to come here just to celebrate life and wonderful restaurants like this one!

Reem G.

Yelp
Super nice staff and servers! Food is amazing and the most amazing lamb shank. They also make a great donner kabob and the yellow lentil soup was addictive. The atmosphere is elegant but cozy and feels like a family business the way it is run and friendly.

Eric W.

Yelp
Service was poor. The waiter was not attentive and it took me nearly 30 minutes to get tea served. Chicken kabob was dry, pilaf seemed like it was uncle ben's like in texture and taste and the food is really pricey for the quality and quantity. I have been here a few times and the end result is always the same. Do not recommend.

Lena S.

Yelp
We expected this place to be good based on the reviews but were very disappointed. Our server pressured us to order as soon as we sat down for dinner, even when we asked for additional time to look over the menu. He cleaned up our plates while half our table was still eating, which was not only awkward but rude. Our food came out cold but our plates were scorching hot. The food itself was good but we've had better Turkish food in the city. All in all, would not recommend this place.

Mo M.

Yelp
Some of the best Turkish food in the area. Doner Kebab is first rate and it's only served for dinner on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Never disappointed.

James A.

Yelp
The only reason I come to this place is because my dad for some reason enjoys going there. Their food is tasteless and also is considered to be expensive in contrast to the food quality and restaurant decor. The waiters some of them are nice some of them are rude and don't know the basics of serving food to people. The food takes long time to be delivered and sometimes is brought cold.

Özgür K.

Yelp
My mother is a chef and she has smilar style restaurant in Istanbul. I am familiar this kind of food since forever. I visit Kazan whenever I visit DC. Me and my friend were there again last week. Ordered soup, beef shish kebap and eggplant beğendi lamp kebap. Every thing was great. So delicious! I ordered my beef medium well and they know how to do it! The price is a bit high for environment but it is OK for the taste. Please go visit and try real Turkish food!

Joanna S.

Yelp
This was our first time here -- we spontaneously decided to walk in -- and we could not be happier!! Our waiter, Ramazan, was FANTASTIC. He was attentive, explained everything very well, and had a great lively attitude. The eggplant appetizer and the fried calamari were fabulous. We shared a scallop kabob (great portions, juicy scallops) and döner kabob, which was served on pita bread and a yogurt tomato sauce. The döner is their special that they serve only on Wednesdays and fridays. I've never had anything like that before and I'm so glad that I tried it!! All the other staff members at the restaurant were also warm and friendly. We'll definitely be going back! Thanks for a wonderful experience.
