4 Restaurants to Try This Weekend in Los Angeles: November 27 - Eater LA

"KazuNori is still one of the best options around town, and is perfect for solo (or small group) dining. Sidle up to the bar and order rolls a la carte, or go for one of the combinations pre-set by the restaurant. The six-roll set, priced at $28, makes for a meal, but if you are really hungry, don’t shy away from adding in a few more rolls. Smaller combinations like the three or four-roll set fall closer to snack territory or pre-dinner bites." - Eater Staff

The 20 Best Deals For Dine LA Restaurant Week, Summer 2024

"The Deal: Five handrolls and salmon sashimi for $25 per person at lunch or dinner Why We Like It: Normally the salmon sashimi at this handroll mini-chain in Ktown costs $8 on its own. So $25 for five handrolls and an order of sashimi feels like a good deal to us. Come for lunch or dinner if you're in the area. " - brant cox, garrett snyder, sylvio martins, nikko duren

Really high expectation, given all the great reviews cross all locations. I looked at the menu and the price seemed fair for receiving Toro scallops lobster and other high-quality fish. But overall the quality of the fish, the taste and setup was quite disappointing for me. It wasn’t great sushi, nor was it poke. It was just Loafy mushy fish. That overall wasn’t great. I like that the rice was warm, and that the seaweed was slightly crispy but overall I wouldn’t come back. Otherwise, I like the lobster, the most followed by the scallops. The Toro surprisingly was the worst.

Had the 5 roll menu. The torro and yellowtail were not all that. There was little to no texture or taste from the fish. Felt like I was eating some fllavorless paste. The scallop was my favorite, great flavor. Followed by the crab and lobster. Service was good, food comes out 1 roll at a time. Place was half full and food came out promptly. Ambiance was nice and pretty quite which was welcomed. The rice and seaweed is also quite good. I d rate it a 4/5, but their 16% "fee" is dumb so 3/5. If the fee aint tip and it aint optional, update ur damn menu prices. It s miss leading. Why is there always math involved ar restaurants in this country?

When you & your friend feels like having a sushi on a hot sunny Saturday. What a surprise no waiting. Got seated right away. The host was friendly and service was fast. We ordered our hand roll and sashimi. Just good enough for our cravings. The place is clean and cozy. Keep up the good work.

KazuNori is a favorite of mine. We usually visit the Santa Monica location, so this was a first visit to the original location. For first time visitors, you should know that this is a sushi bar situation and there is no table seating, so seating a large group might be a challenge here, as you'd be seated side by side. As usual, the fish was super fresh and rolls are delectable and made to order at the moment. The staff times you're next roll perfectly after you finish your previous one, making the experience feel very special. They have a proprietary style of making their hand rolls with slightly warm rice, making the nori more pliable (though still crispy) and fragrant as you take your first bites. This is a great place for a first date or if you're looking to pamper yourself with a quick, yet luxurious sushi fix.

I tried Kazunori for the first time with it being Dine LA. Right off the bat, if you arrive before 4p, they offer parking validation in their lot. Since this location was in Koreatown it can be difficult to find parking so that was a plus. The atmosphere is welcoming and quiet with seating at the bar. I ordered their Dine LA promotion and was not disappointed. The hand rolls were very high quality and sashimi was included. The staff was extremely attentive and even prepared with light rice as I was getting full quickly. It was a very surprising and delicious visit!

I had a great meal. I got the 3 rolls for $15. They were all really good. They served the rolls 1 ar a time which was a cool experience. I liked the atmosphere. I sat at the bar. The bar stools are close to one another but I liked the experience and didn't mind sitting next to folks I didn't know. If you like meeting people, it's great for that. It's also close quarters if you're on a date, which is nice. They have a no tipping policy and an automatic charge to the bill. I hope this means they pay the staff a livable wage, I didn't see that in the explanation on the menu. I recommend stopping here if you are hoping restaurant to restaurant or just want a meal of rolls. The price seemed inexpensive to average, which is nice for a classy place.

Food was great. We had party of 4 at around 9:30pm on 07/13/24. My 3 friends ordered 5 course hand roll and myself ordered 6 hand roll course. We were served at the same time. Once my friends were done with their 5 rolls. MARIA asked if we wanted to order more. I told her I was still missing 1 hand roll. MARIA said it all had been served. I insisted and told her that I was still missing 1. MARIA told me “if YOU feel like you still missing 1, we can make it for you”… I mean like what the Hell! If I feel like? I told her “I KNOW I’m missing 1 … I don’t feel like missing 1”. I’m thinking to myself did she just said that?! I really had to argue for 1 missing roll? Like is it my fault? Do you really think I’m going to cheat for 1 $5 hand roll? We had ordered beers and the guy manager was nice to us… I saw he left prior to this incident. now I’m just disappointed of how she responded.. I hope the manager or the owner of this place check the camera and see if I really were served correctly… I was gonna give 5 stars, but the way she handled it was demeaning and be little… Hopefully they can serve correct portion next time or at least handle the situation a little better than MARIA! Will not come back…

Super tasty hand rolls! Nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive service. Gratuity is also included for stress free checkout. I highly recommend this place.
