NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"From the folks behind Ishq, this East Village spot with a few seats and a fast-casual look has an array of skewered halal proteins (including vegetarian options). Available as paratha rolls, over pulao, or loaded fries, the kebabs include chicken, lamb, shrimp, paneer and soy-based options, in various cuts and spices. The mango lassi on the menu is inevitable, but dessert options are less obvious: falooda, kulfi and sweet paan." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah, bryan kim

Chicken Seekh Kebab is delicious! Moist, tender, juicy, and flavorful. You need to get it in a paratha roll. They go together well. There’s sauce in the paratha roll, so no need to get extra sauce (which I got but was not necessary). Only thing that would hold me on going back is the price. The paratha roll and the kebab is $15. While it’s delicious it felt overpriced, especially since it’s possible to get a similar roll at the Pakistani Kati roll place 2 blocks away on 1st Avenue for just $6. Also got Chicken Malai Kebab which was ok. It was mild and not as good as the seekh kebab. Didn’t get anything with it and regretted it as it’s just a few tiny pieces. We were super hungry after we opened it at home and realized how small the portion was. To get such a small portion for $10 wasn’t worth it. I would love to get the seekh kebab often because of how fantastic it is, but will have to pace it out because of the price.

Lamb and Shrimp kebab were outstanding. Nice and spicy. Would not want to venture near ghost chili unless you are courageous. Oatmeal chai was delicious and the Mango Lassi is nice and thick.

Google
A fantastic lunch spot! Very reasonably priced and good portions for the price. A satisfying size meal. Highly recommend the roll (comes in a super buttery, flakey paratha). Chicken was a bit spicy even though it wasn’t listed, but it was manageable. The lamb and shrimp were also amazing. The mango lassi was also incredible. Amazing spiced flavor- really a standout from a lot of mango lassi in the area that is really a mango smoothie.

Yelp
Amazing new fast casual kebab spot, from the nearby also great Indian spot, Ishq. They've spared no expense on the branding and the packaging here, which is all gorgeous and very elaborate. Luckily the food is good enough to warrant the lengths they've gone to on design. Get any and all kebabs in any preparation - on their own, in a paratha roll, over rice, or with loaded fries.
