This is the third time that I have had an error with my order at Ken's tacos. They used to be very good at taking orders, had reasonably priced food, and that has all changed in the past 6 months.
I understand the prices of had to go up due to inflation, so I'm not deducting stars for that, but now it's just as cheap to eat at a higher quality restaurant like torchy's than it is to get tacos here. When you talk about the quality difference, then it becomes an issue because why should I pay the same price for something that tastes less than a different vendor?
Now as for today's error, they took my order over the phone, and I specifically told them three times that I needed soft corn tortillas because I have celiacs disease. This means I can't have flour or gluten. The previous time, they did the same thing with my breakfast taco, and the second error they made within about the same month-long period was putting my order in a crispy shell when I told him I wanted a corn tortilla. So now, I try to make sure that every time I tell them multiple times only to use soft corn. When I got there today they had placed my fajita tacos on soft tortillas. I asked them why they did this, and they said that they did it because I asked for soft tortillas. I told the counter lady that this had been the third time within roughly a month they had messed up my order, I told her that I specifically had asked on the phone for soft corn three times, and her response was I didn't hear you I thought you meant soft tacos.
Then even though this was a call in order and I had to be somewhere else after picking it up, they said we'll just make you fresh ones. I told the lady I am not wanting fresh ones I wanted them done right the first time, and now I would just like a refund. She repeated we can make them for you now, and I said I would like a refund. Then she proceeded to try to explain how it was just a mistake and I had to cut them some slack. I told her it's a mistake when it happens one time, maybe twice, but when it happens three times in a roughly a month long time frame it means you guys are missing up. She said you don't have to be rude, so I said I'm not being rude I'm just pointing out that it's not a mistake when you keep doing the same thing over and over and over again. Finally she agreed to give me a refund I will never order from Ken's tacos again which is sad because I have eaten here literally for roughly a decade.
At this point I cannot recommend Ken's tacos anymore and I would not waste anyone's time in referring them here for good food, correct quality, and good service. I suggest you take your business elsewhere.
