Ki Sushi

My sons' birthday was on Sunday, but we were there on Friday after work. My son and daughter are both Sushi fans. It was my first time. The restaurant is close to home, one train stop away. Anyway, it was a terrific evening. The food was great! Tempura shrimp and vegetables were fresh and delicious! I had a Lobster California roll, and I must say, it was nice. I enjoyed the ambiance. The place was packed! I highly recommend this place. 👌🏽

I’ve been going to ki sushi for years and the sushi is always fresh. I love how they start each service with a hot towel. So good and relaxing. I’ve brought several people here and also dined solo. I always have a great time. Try the lychee sake, you won’t be disappointed. Update: The unagi is yummy and the Chilean sea bass is so good.

Nice ambiance. Was able to spend a long time here chatting. Wait staff didn't rush us. Sushi is good. The cooked fish was also very good.

Another visit to one of my favourite sushi spots, Ki Sushi. As usual, I got the 10-piece $55 omakase, with fish flown in from Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo. The pieces have changed each of the 3 times I have visited. This time, it included catfish, which I had for the first time in sushi. There was also a mouthwatering gunkan maki with o-toro, uni, and ikura. Pro tip: Only their Flatbush Avenue location will give you a complimentary ginger ice cream when you order the omakase.

FOOD Food was really good and fresh! I ordered vegetarian sushi as I'm allergic to fish and they made sure to confirm every dish had no contact with fish :) Dessert was just okay, it didn't blow any of us away, but it wasn't supposed to be the highlight of the meal anyway. SERVICE Everything comes up super quickly! Waiters made sure we always had everything we needed, from refilling water to suggesting side dishes, without being overly intrusive and visiting you every 5 mins, which I very much appreciated! ATMOSPHERE The place is cozy, it has dimmed lights that allow you to not feel like you're in a hurry to leave, chairs are comfy and temperature was spot on.

Finally got to this place and they are definitely on the top of my favorite sushi spots in BK!! The food is made fresh and you can visibly see it and taste it from the first bite. Service is very attentive and kind. Super clean bathroom.

nice sushi spot, not too packed, with a lot of options for rolls in particular. portions on fair side, prices average high, and service attentive. scallops could use a bit better sear, some were more over done than others. the toppings on the rolls could be more consistent, rice was soft and fresh though.

I went in and ordered for takeout. I ordered Ike avocado roll and spicy tuna roll. I hope the tuna was good, the ill avocado roll was not fresh at all.

Ki Sushi is close to the corner of Prospect Place & is around other stores. The following has been ordered during visits to Ki Sushi for dinner: Both the Pan Fried (ex. Vegetable or Pork) and the Steamed (ex. Vegetable or Pork) Gyoza are good. These appetizers are ordered often & come w/ a soy sauce dipping sauce that pairs well w/ the gyoza. The Miso Soup is hot & flavorful. Garlic Broccoli & the Steamed Mixed Vegetables always taste fresh. Main Dishes - The Stir Fried Udon w/ Vegetable or w/ Chicken have been favorites. Ki Sushi has a nice variety of Sushi and the sushi we have had thus far has been delicious. Ki Sushi has a Plum Wine that tastes sweet and refreshing. First time visiting Ki Sushi and loved it! Great place fore date night, very classy and chill ambiance. We came on a Saturday night right at 5pm when they reopened for dinner service. What we ordered: Salmon tartar $18 (topped with caviar and gold flakes. Definitely very fancy and tasted good too. My husband wasn't a fan of it though.) Chirashi $37 (very nicely done! Had a great variety of sashimi of great quality and freshness. Gave a side of miso soup or salad) Salmon avocado hand rolls $10 (the Salmon was so fresh and the hand roll had a good amount of Salmon, they don't skimp!) Salmon avocado Maki roll $10 Fashion Roll $22 (we weren't a fan of this one) Service was great and attentive! Timely refill of waters and tea. They don't take Discover credit cards :( I'd recommend them for a nice night out!!

Wow best sushi takeout I have ever had! The omakase is an amazing value. Everything was super fresh. I will definitely order again and would love to visit their physical location!

Their omakase game is STRONG! So strong, in fact, that I came back for it a second time. Each time was with a large group of friends, so they are great for big parties as well. Pro tip: There is a LOT of competition in the area for sushi, but I feel this place requires dining in instead of taking out/ordering delivery. The food: they have gluten-free omakase!! The uni and toro were heavenly, flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth level quality. The rest of the sushi was amazing too, but I would eat these every day for the rest of my life. If sushi is not your thing, the menu has a wide selection that is suitable for the whole family. The cocktails and sake selection are great as well. The service is quiet and efficient. The vibe is calm and the decor is lovely. Overall, a neighborhood gem. I love when my friends get together here!

Ordered takeout which arrived after an hour. Fish was fresh. The salmon platter is a great deal and plenty of food! If you are choosing between the miso soup and salad, go salad! While the lettuce is boring like any side salad, the dressing was amazingly fresh and delicious. We love tuna crispy rice so decided to try it here. It was a miss and expensive for what it is. The pan fried crispy rice was greasy, and thin, so you just tasted grease and seaweed. The American Dream Roll was flavorful if you like rolls covered in sauce. I was happy to see they didn't skimp on the ginger or wasabi!

Very fresh sushi for sushi rolls. I'm a little spoiled from going to omakases so if I'm craving for sushi rolls - this is the spot! Got the dynamite and TNT special rolls to try and would highly reco the TNT

The ambiance is really lovely, you can eat at a table or at the Chef's table/sushi bar. It's spacious and very relaxing. The service was great, friendly and attentive service and they were so kind that we stayed so late. The food was AMAZING! They had an extensive sake list, the sushi was so fresh and succulent including Japanese tuna that was absolutely incredible. We'll be back.

I came here around 3 times and the only reason we don't come here more often is because we live in queens and it takes 1.5h to get here by train but it was worth the travel. This is my first omakase experience and it had set the bar way too high. I've been to other omakase locations that is twice as expensive but I still gear toward location. You just can't beat their price for the quality you get and you also get ice cream at the end. There are two options: only sushi or sushi and sashimi. The ambiance, food quality and service are all great. If you are doing omakase you should do bar seating but they do offer it if you sit on the dinning tables. They do also have normal menu of omakase is not your cup of tea but I didn't try since every time I went straight for the omakase spot. But be careful, they have another location that is very close to this one, like 11pm walk apart. My very first time I went to their other location by mistake while my bf went to this location and got so confused why we don't see each other when we both already arrived.

The seaweed on my sushi rolls were incredibly tough. Never experienced that in my 20+ years of eating sushi!!

LOVEDDD the omakase 11/10. literally just finished it and wanted to tell the world immediately that everyone needs to try this. great ambiance and prices, good service, deliciously fresh fish. $55 for 10 pieces directly from tsukiji market is unheard of! can't wait to go back.

I got a table of two with no reservation needed on a weekend which was super awesome. The atmosphere in here is suitable for date nights or business meeting (I was not going for any of them but just wanted to note that since park slope is filled with a lot that isn't as business appropriate) The service was really great and always kept making sure we are comfortable and we took a lot of time deciding but they were really understanding. For appetizer I got the agedashi tofu and its ok- more on the lighter side vs super fried. On the other hand, for the main I got the omakase here and literally blew my mind I didn't expect to be getting a chefs table quality in my table service omakase sushi and sashimi. The quality of fish they serve here is immaculate and I'll be coming back for more since I live nearby. They have uni as well which is unheard of for a table service omakase for 80 dollar sushi plate because usually they leave that one out because it's very expensive. But their uni quality was just as good as other chefs counter omakase I have had. Their scallop, tuna and shrimp was so tasty, and they even come with a little soft shell crab in this set. I feel super blessed to be getting the quality I received for the 80 dollar set.

Crispy Rice, the appetizer has little disappointed me, I expected it would be very crispy, however, it got little soft. TNT Truffle is the roll I got recommended by staff but I don't like the texture, it's too mushy and not chewy. The rest Sushi /SA Combo, Dragon, Volcano Roll are just okay, so overall it's worthy for 4 stars, but I can say there is nothing special and I won't recommend to others.

Great quality sushi that is reasonably priced. Service was professional and attentive. My favorite thing was definitely the TNT truffle appetizer, which is a must-order. The seared tuna appetizer was tasty as well. I got the fashion roll, which I enjoyed. Wasn't the biggest fan of the lychee sake, I thought it tasted rather artificial. Omakase looks very reasonably priced, I might be back to try that.

I've been coming to this Ki Sushi location for years and it has gotten better every year! I highly recommend their Omakase platter, so fresh and good! Plus, we love the staff, so sweet and attentive, especially Jo! : ) See you again soon!

I've been coming here for years, and I have never been disappointed. I love their selection of sushi rolls, and appetizers! All the servers are so attentive and my water glass never goes empty, which I appreciate.

I am the vegan of the group and I ordered two basic veggie rolls; the sweet potato tempura and the avocado roll. Both were good and the avocado tasted very fresh! The atmosphere and the service at Ki Sushi was fantastic, we had a large group and they were very accommodating. The inside of the restaurant is also very cute and spacious. I'm (not) the vegan of the group. I ordered multiple special rolls and all were great along with the quality of fish. I also ordered the fatty tuna which just melted as soon as you ate it and my favorite on my plate. Food came out pretty quick for a Friday night. Table size was great for a large group and everyone loved the desserts. There weren't many options for vegan/non dairy desserts which would be my only thing to mention.

This has become our favorite place for omakase sushi and specialty rolls. Whether for delivery or dining in, their sushi just can't be beat, and the prices are very reasonable for all you get. We also like their extensive sake list when we dine in and are always pointed in the right direction on which ones to order. Highly recommend.

We used to come to Ki every Friday for omakase at the Chef Counter, and it was always one of our go-to dinner places! Don't feeling having anything else? Ki! Feel like having sushi? Ki! Had a long week?! KI!!!! (You get the idea, right?) Ki was one of the cheapest omakase places we could find (before Covid). But even now that the prices had gone up a little (well you know, inflation), it is still a great deal, for yummie sushi! Is it food or is it art? Who's to say? One really ought to come give Ki a try to be the judge! Here are what we would order, and allll of the items below are our favorites! TNT Truffle (10/10 - $20) - Chopped blue fin toro, caviar, scallion, tempura flakes, wrapped with tuna in truffle soy sauce. I love Ki Sushi because the food is so consistently amazing, the people are so kind, and the interior is really lovely. This place is classy enough if you want to dress up, but also has a casual atmosphere if you are looking for a quick dinner. All of the rolls that we got were amazing! The crispy tuna was super good, a bit too crispy maybe, but still tasty nonetheless. I actually audibly gasped with how fresh and hot the edamame came out, something that is rarer than you think. The outdoor seating was also so cute, and made it a perfect family night for a dinner.

The soosh? Fresh The price? Unmatched for the quality The service? Amazing Look, more often than not, I used to be the type a gal that order the 3 roll special from any mediocre sushi spots in the area -- that was before I discovered Ki. I'm changed not and I can't go back. You will never catch me at another sushi spot in the area. I know the name sounds like any other neighborhood spot and not a fancy omakase spot but don't let it full you. I'm not joking when I say I come here at minimum 3x a month. This is our go-to dinner in the area and we also frequent the location on Smith St. We never leave here disappointed - or hungry. The slices of sashimi are thick and fresh, and you can tell they really care about quality just as much as the presentation. The service is always amazing too! Super friendly, attentive and thoughtful! They always bring a bowl of water out of my pupperoni, bring share plates even for a side salad, checks in to see if we need anything but not in an annoying way. I can't recommend this place enough. We usually start with the tempura app (and lately the miso eggplant *chef's kiss*), get the sushi and sashimi dinner, and an extra roll - my fave is the fancy roll. If you're a sashimi kinda person, definitely don't forget the chu toro - that ish is FIRE. And it you're a roll kinda person, the fancy roll or the spicy salmon is unbeatable. The fish just melts in your mouth. Give them a shot, I promise you won't be going anywhere else for sushi in the area from then on.

As you know I have a very honest approach to reviews. To get 5 stars means you were above and beyond the expectations in both food AND service. I can honestly say that I have NEVER had a bad moment or meal at Ki Sushi - even during the pandemic when it was scary to even think of eating out. The TNT truffle is by far one of my most favorite things here and I don't care how full I am, I will never eat here and not order that dish. It is sex on a plate. Beautiful to look at and an umami of flavor explosions in your mouth both texturally & taste. The lunch specials are also such a fabulous deal that if you are near its well worth the trip. All in all - everything from decor, service, food is the tops and although it may seem a little pricey for its location, it's worth every single cent. The only thing we've had that we wouldn't get again is the Warm Wild Mushroom Salad. The mushrooms are absolutely delicious but the plate is high in price for something that is 90% greens hidden under what looks like a mound of mushrooms but is only a thin layer hiding the greens. All in all, you will not leave disappointed and you will want to return. I am a sushi snob and we try to eat here as often as possible. It really is fantastic.

Ki Sushi has become our go to sushi spot since the pandemic! While we haven't actually eaten at the restaurant, we've ordered delivery quite a few times. They're not on any apps, but you can order directly from their website and we've never had a problem. The first time we ordered, we were celebrating a birthday so we splurged and got the omakase. Definitely yummy, but not necessary! You can get away with the sushi combo for just as good a meal! We usually get that + another spicy tuna roll to share between the two of us. The combo also comes with a miso soup. The fish is always really fresh and the prices aren't cheap, but they are reasonable! They also have lunch specials if you're WFH right now and can take advantage. Sadly I'm not, but my bf has ordered lunch a few times and says it's just as good.

I've only ever ordered takeout from this location (though I've been to the one on Smith), but it's far and away the best takeout sushi I've ever had. Everything's always fresher than fresh and packed beautifully. I don't know why I ever try ordering from anywhere else! This review is to remind me not to.

I'm a regular at Ki Sushi and the food never disappoints. Their TNT truffle tuna is delicious, as is their tuna taco and their spicy tuna on crispy rice. Those are just a few specials -- but all of their food is carefully prepared and well worth the trip. Also, their house special rolls are a wonderful blend of fresh and savory flavors. Well worth the trip.

I am a self-admitted sushi snob, and this place is legit. During quarantine, I ordered sushi delivery from two places. One was disgusting. The other was fine; like grocery store sushi. And then there's Ki. A friend and I met here and took advantage of their outdoor dining, which was appropriately distanced. Servers were wearing masks and gloves and provided hand sanitizer before and after the meal. Our table was on a bit of a decline, but it wasn't an issue. We started with the warm mushroom salad, which was divine. We smelled this dish as it was delivered to the table next to us and had to have it ourselves. No regrets. For my entree, I ordered the sushi and sashimi combo. When it arrived, I knew it was going to surpass my expectations, just based off appearance. The sashimi was cleanly sliced; the fish was perfectly portioned; and all of it looked fresh. Nothing was slimy. Everything was the perfect temperature. I hadn't eaten sushi this good since I lived in Japan. And it was truly prepared traditionally, including the wasabi under each slice of fish on the nigiri. If you're not a wasabi fan, take note. It's gonna be there. I just moved to NY this year and want to try as many restaurants as I can, but I'm going to be hard-pressed to risk that another place is as good as Ki. I'll definitely be coming back here again.

Ki Sushi is exceptional in terms of both food and service. They get pretty busy, especially with limited outdoor seating available. The staff is very friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. The prices are on the higher end but it's worth it for the quality of the food. For appetizers, I got the yellowtail carpaccio and maguro avocado. Both of which were flavored well and smooth to the mouth. The sashimi dinner had an assortment of different fish. They were sliced nicely and not too thick. The fish was so smooth and practically melted in my mouth. I also got the ki roll, fancy roll, and tamago. Everything had top quality fish and even the tamago was tastier than anywhere else I've tried. It was soft yet held together and seasoned slightly. Other entrees I tried were the kamo soba and the grilled spicy miso sea bass. The soba was very light in flavor and refreshing. The sea bass was delicious. It's not spicy at all and had a perfect crisp on top. It sits on top a bed of vegetables that soaked up the tasty sauce that it's cooked in. Overall, come here for tasty, authentic sushi. The fish is so fresh and the quality of it all is really good. The service was also great!

I had lunch here two weekends ago. The order was yuzu pepper shrimp, chirashi and garden salad. The chirashi came with salad. This was my first time ordering chirashi here- portion was generous as you can see- a nice variety of fish. I've eaten here several times and taken out food as well. Everything was fresh. It would be great if the restaurant offered the lunch special menu on Saturday as well! Service was also excellent. Look forward to my next meal here.

Ki Sushi is such a gem in Brooklyn! I came with my sister to try the omakase. The fish was very fresh and each piece was an explosion of umami deliciousness. I definitely recommend checking Ki Sushi out if you're looking for high quality and reasonably priced omakase!

Great service!! They have high chairs and were very accommodating to my one year old! The sushi was one of the best we've had in Brooklyn and the omakase had a large selection at a great price. We were here on a weekend evening and didn't need a reservation. We will definitely be back!

I was already a fan of the Ki Sushi in Cobble Hill, so I couldn't wait to stop in to this location. Great service, great food and speedy turnaround time for pick ups (during COVID). Highly recommend: Passion roll and omakase. Support local and check out this great spot!

Wow! The ambiance is modern and beautiful. The outdoor patio was great. Service was excellent. The sushi was fresh, creative and delicious. Presentation of every dish was amazing. This is a top notch sushi restaurant!

Food and ambience exemplary . One issue we did have this time was service. There were 6 of us and the food came out at different times making it uncomfortable for those who got served first. Been here numerous times and this was first time had this problem.

Neighborhood gem for upscale and delicious sushi. Since it's opened we have probably been there once a month. Really everything is delicious - TNT lovers app, specialty sushi (Pickachu roll, Passion roll) and sushi / sashimi omakase. They are also vert kid friendly !!

I would rate Ki Sushi four and a half stars. Ki Sushi is located on a stretch of Flatbush Avenue with some outstanding sushi restaurants. Ki certainly does not disappoint. I was immediately impressed by the sake menu and that the seafood for the omakase is imported from the famous Tsukiji Market in Tokyo. I started with the Dassai 45 sake. It was a nicely balanced sake. My wife and I shared the crispy rice topped with tuna. I enjoyed the textural contrast between the crispy rice and the soft (pleasantly mushy) fish. For the main course, I had the sushi and sashimi omakase. Quite a nice variety of seafood was featured in the omakase. I liked the focus on ikura (caviar) which was incorporated in a few of the items featured on the platter. My wife and I shared a couple of desserts. E shared the vanilla ice cream tempura and the Cappa pistachio which was a chocolate and pistachio ice cream swirl topped with pistachio crumbs. The tempura was incredible. It came with a side of caramel sauce. It was the best ice cream tempura that I've ever had and one of the best desserts I've ever had. It's a must order. The service was attentive. The restrooms were clean and sleek.

Good tools and a seaweed salad to go. They were quick and ready at the time they quoted! I got the peach role and the eel and avocado and both were good, but I think the eel was my favorite of the two. Will definitely be going back. Not the cheapest sushi option, but the regular roles are priced.

Came here twice, both times to celebrate birthdays. First time was on a Sunday and it was a quiet night so we had superb service and attention. I enjoyed it so much, I decided to book dinner here a month in advance for a Saturday night to celebrate my mother's birthday. Second time around was not quite as great and it was a tad awkward since I seemed to have over-hyped the restaurant's impeccable service to my family. We had arrived promptly for our 7pm seating and after being told our table wasn't ready yet, we waited 15 minutes before we were informed that actually, our table was nowhere near ready because they had seated a family with young children who were eating slower than they expected. To the management's credit, they offered to reshuffle some other customers around in order to make another big table available for us. We all opted to order their omakase, claimed to have selections air shipped from Tokyo Tsukiji Market. For $60, the price can't be beat. After placing our orders, service lagged quite a bit. It was an hour before we receive the first sashimi part of our omakase. The omakase itself was good, not entirely amazing but the nigiri pieces were decent. Due to the prolonged wait, we were so starving, we inhaled most of the platter within minutes, then continued to play the half hour waiting game for the next part. My brother felt compelled to add a roll in hopes of having something else to eat. The restaurant did offer complimentary bowls of edamame to nibble on after we sat around for a while, but no one came around to refill our tea unless prompted. When they came to clear our dishes, I quietly reminded the waitress that it was my mother's birthday and if we can order dessert. They brought out a small tiramisu with a birthday candle for her while dropping down a few bowls of ice cream (green tea or ginger ice cream) for the rest of us. The ice cream was excellent quality and we appreciated the special birthday treat. All in all, Ki Sushi is a spacious relaxed place to try a more budget friendly omakase, but since I had two occasions here for comparison, I think service the second time around was just overwhelmed by the Saturday crowd.

Came for a birthday dinner and have to say I was impressed. It was very clean, staff were friendly, and the menu - exciting! I have to say Im not a sushi expert so don't expect a review on the sushi quality or authenticity because I wouldn't know. I would consider this expensive for my student budget but I didn't leave hungry so Im not too upset. The rock shrimp was delicious 9/10 Not a fan of Tar Tar but the presentation is beautiful and everyone else liked it The crispy rice - 11/10 The Ki Roll was delicious! I also tried the Pikachu roll and was disappointed because it sounded better than it was. There was some miscommunication with the employees regarding our cake that through a dent in to our night but the manager was very helpful and made it right, which we appreciated greatly. Also no cork fee for tequila of vodka so bring your own! I believe they charge for wine though.

Such a beautiful spot! They give you a warm towel to clean ur hands when u sit down so nice! Sushi is fresh and delicious! And for the price, it's some of the best sushi in the downtown area. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

The food is fresh and delicious. We got the omakase decided by the chef. Well made and the lychee sake tastes good too

We went around 8pm and we were seated right away. I called right before I got to the restaurant and the lady said they have a lot of tables available in a joking way which made me laugh . The tables were well distanced from each other which was a positive. I also liked how the restaurant dimmed the light. We decided to order the blistered shisito peppers, Sushi Omokase and Sushi & Sashimi Omokase. The shisito peppers came out really fast. The peppers were tasty and the yuzu salt that came with it was excellent. As for the sushi & sashimi, every piece was super tasty. I recommend the sushi Omokase cause you get 10 super taste pieces without breaking the bank. The only part I did not like was waiting. I mean who likes waiting for food when you are hungry however I felt like it took longer than normal. I saw that they have a lot of takeout orders so I'm assuming that was the reason. Overall, I would come again to eat sushi! If anyone is thinking of coming here then you should give it a shot!!

Came here per a friend's recommendation. I told her I was looking for a place that had a relaxed atmosphere, where we can sit at the bar with the kids and just enjoy some good sushi. She insisted we try this location of Ki Sushi. Not knowing the neighborhood, street parking was relatively easy to find and free on Sundays. I made a reservation for us at the bar just so everything went more smoothly but we could've probably done without it. I appreciate that they had a high chair all set for us though. The interior and vibe is modern, sleek, and probably great for a date night without kids; however, the staff was warm and welcoming - I never felt uncomfortable for sitting at the bar with our children (6 year old, 1 year old). The restaurant was spacious. A plus because our littlest one struggles to sit through a long meal so there was plenty of space for us to stand and walk around with him without getting in anyone's way. We initially opted for the $40 for 10 pieces of nigiri. There wasn't anything innovative or different.. just really good quality, yummy fish and rice. Just in case you're wondering, you can order omakase 3 times in a row like my bottomless pit of a husband. Our sushi chef was Perry, easy to talk to and funny. We ordered a ton of MP nigiri and several beers in addition to some sides. I thought our total was fair for the quality of food that we received. I'd come again in a heartbeat!

Great sushi spot if you're not looking for anything too fancy and rare. Reasonably priced and everything really fresh. Love the toro tartare so much! Get it! Got the chirashi to satisfy my fish craving which it did. Everything was great, rice was cooked great and the miso soup is delish. My son wanted "meat and rice" so we got him beef teriyaki but it's nothing like what you'd expect! Actually good quality beef cooked medium with garlic sauteed vegetables like asparagus and pumpkin. It's a Beautiful big spot too surprisingly so it will be spaced out.

Spot on sushi spot in the Barclays Brooklyn area. I've been to some true 5 star sushi places, and Ki does a good job by comparison. The Japanese beer and sake selection has a good number of options as well, I do wish they had a full bar for cocktails however. Service was courteous, but nothhing over the top great - they serve you and get out the way. Overall great time, thanks!
