"Little Saigon is a required stop for some of the best Vietnamese food outside Vietnam. Kim Nguyen has stuffed, rolled, and fried egg rolls on Little Saigon’s west side since 1999. The current Kim Hong Eggrolls location contains just three faux wood tables and houses fridges bursting with 100-packs. Icons on a wall-mounted menu decode egg rolls, which cost a dollar each, with a $10 minimum. Crisp coats with good give yield peppery fillings that also include carrot flecks and glass noodles. Dip into sweet chile sauce. Call ahead, since they fry egg rolls to order, to save time." - Eater Staff, Joshua Lurie

Google
Absolutely incredible egg rolls. The service is extremely good, the egg rolls come up so fast and they're piping hot. They're so inexpensive yet so good. People were buying dozens of them and it didn't take any time at all. I was blown away how good they are . I got the number one and I got 12 of them and they were delicious. This woman who helped us was a champ and extremely charming. They work really hard. They're open at 7:00 in the morning and they're knocking these rolls out over a hot fryer all day long. And then I'm glad they are because they're the best egg rolls I've ever had

Google
Friendly service. We arrived shortly before closing so many options were sold out. We tried the vegetarian eggrolls and the chicken eggrolls and both were delicious. They came out hot and perfectly crispy. The sweet chili sauce is also tasty and a perfect addition. You order in the back of the building and there is only one table for outdoor seating so plan to get your food to go. Wonderful little spot for a quick, hot and satisfying bite.

Google
Amazing little hole in the wall egg roll joint. Easily the crispiest egg rolls I've ever had, and the taste was spot on. I will absolutely come back again anytime I'm in the area. Highly recommend!!

Google
Delicious. Fast. Affordable. Easy to pickup. Better for to-go orders. Owner speaks English and Viet. 10 rolls minimum. It's rare to find this kind of business nowaday.

Google
Call ahead! These folks are busy and don't have time to sit there waiting for you to choose. Follow their directions and you get some fire egg rolls. My new favorite

Google
Very good hot and fresh . I got premium 15 piece and let’s say I shoulda gone with the 20 piece 🤣.🔥🔥. Definitely going back. Lady’s personality is awesome . 👏

Google
You park at the back, there is a parking lot. You order thru the window and it's approximately $1.3 an egg roll . They let you pay with credit card which is always appreciated. I wanted to try the veggie rolls but it was all sold out

I called to place an order after seeing this restaurant on tiktok. I was informed the restaurant was out of food for the day. I was offered to order ahead of time for the next day. I tried to order 10 eggrolls half veggie and half shrimp (5 and 5). I was told I could only order one type in an increment of 10. I chose shrimp at what I thought cost .90 cents each. I picked up the order the next day, the menu price was supposed to be .90 cents per eggroll. I asked if they accepted credit or debit card since the place is a small business. Upon arrival, I picked up the order, the young lady quietly charged my card and gave no receipt. I was surprised to find overcooked unclean shrimp with eggroll wrapper at the cost of $18.90. I recommend you ask many questions before ordering, although the before purchasing. I was charged $1.50 per uncleaned shrimp. I was very disappointed to say the least.

Yelp
Delicious food!! This is more of a bulk order/pre-order spot, so if they are only offering a limited selection for takeout, you have to be nice about it or you don't deserve these eggrolls. Minimum 10 eggroll order, we tried the premium (#1) and pork and taro (#5) eggrolls, and the #5s were the best. The #1s were delicious, with crab, shrimp, and pork filling; we were just surprised at the flavor in the #5s and we'll be pre-ordering them in the future. Parking is behind the building, and you pick up orders from the back entrance of Kim Hong. It does look like they have a larger front area, but it was closed when we were there. There's a small table in back if you'd like to eat on site. Service was friendly and clearly explained what was available and how to order.

Sylvia E.

Yelp
The place has been here for years maybe decades. It's Been on my radar. There is no store front Per se. You should park in the back parking lot and walk up to the door. It's kind of odd but it's how they do it. The egg rolls are good, crispy and consistent. I like to come here for a larger order for events. The dipping Sauce is extra . I only wish they were super hot at pick up. But you can see it's lots of Bulls orders wait g to be picked up.

Steven W.

Yelp
No outdoor seating except in your car. There is a picnic table outside, however I think y'all would probably end up eating in your car. Not the best area to be eating outside on the picnic table in the parking lot. Service isn't great, auntie has too much to do, and taking orders in person or over the phone (preferred), isn't the main priority. Not sure if they cater to the multitudes of Vietnamese restaurants in the area, I wouldn't be surprised if they do. Is it the best egg rolls??? No, but it is pretty darn good. Best bang for the buck for sure. Call before because they may not have what you want. Pork and shrimp is my go to and favorite. Great for catering big parties. I will be back for more.

Beatriz R.

Yelp
Eggrolls were 7/10, service is 4/10 they have really bad attitude, my first and last time coming here. I get better eggrolls at 17311 E McFadden Ave Ste B Tustin, CA 92780 10/10 eggrolls.....

Jackson S.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place! It was a Sunday so their #1 Premium eggrolls were on a $1 special. Minimum order is 10 so I got 10. With sauce the total was $12.50. I tried one in the car before I headed out - delicious! Definitely a good price. I might pick some up as TG appetizers for something a little different! Great service at the little window.

Pete C.

Yelp
Saw this place on Tik Tok and realized I must have driven by it a 100 times and never noticed it. Well now I've been a couple of times. The egg rolls are crispy and fillings are great although I've only had the #1and #9 because they sell out quick on their other items. The last time I went, I finally got the lady at the window to smile and that made my day. Oh and you can't beat the prices. I'd like to gatekeep this place but it's too late.

Kim N.

Yelp
Decent egg rolls, but not reliable. They told us that they only had the #1 special egg rolls, but let other customers order the Vegetarian rolls. Ordered 50 egg rolls, but only got 45. Hard to count because they just messily tossed the egg rolls onto the tray. Make sure to take the time to count before you leave the parking lot Plus, the dipping sauce is great (like a sweet Thai chili), but it's an extra $1.50 per cup.

Yolanda T.

Yelp
Bomb Eggrolls, fresh crunchy hot best I ever had. Filled with pork or shrimp or chicken. So yummy, ladies very nice. Should order before you go.

Crystal N.

Yelp
I'm not one to write negative reviews, but this experience needs to be addressed. I hope the owner or whoever prepares the food can be more careful moving forward. I had heard great things about the egg rolls here, so I decided to give them a try. The first few were absolutely delicious, but when I bit into this one, I found tiny pieces of aluminum foil inside. This was incredibly disappointing and honestly quite concerning. How could something like this happen?

Kimquyen L.

Yelp
This is the OG place to go for egg rolls & all yummy Vietnamese to go foods that your heart may desire. You can also call in & order over the phone & just come in & pick up. The ladies here are very friendly, nice & efficient. Definitely try everything because it's all yummy.

sandee s.

Yelp
Tasty fried egg rolls be prepared to eat in car. Next time I will phone my order ahead. Was limited to number 4 and number 5 but both were tasty

Anthony N.

Yelp
Hands down the best to go eggrolls. Always a party favorite! She makes them so crispy and they are filled with delicious ingredients. She makes them fast so if you're in a bind and need them for a party call and she'll whip them up for you. The sauce is definitely sweet Thai chili sauce from the bottle but it taste better from her don't ask me why! On Sunday is the best time to get them her special pork, shrimp, and crab is only a $1 each!!! My kids love them.

ra l.

Yelp
Great price, great service, good tasting egg rolls. What else so I really need to say? On Sundays it's even a little cheaper. Will come back for all my egg roll needs.

Celia D.

Yelp
Service was Fast and the egg rolls were delicious! Definitely coming back. Called in my order just incase and they were ready on 10 mins.

Ming-Jou C.

Yelp
Kim Hong Eggrolls is our go-to place for large orders of egg rolls for family gatherings. Parking is in the back. I think for small orders, like maybe 20 or less, you can order the day of a few hours in advance, but I ordered 50 and got scolded by the lady for not calling 2 days in advance. I blamed it on my husband, who said that he called and was told by someone that they only needed 1 hour's notice. I said I bet it was because they probably thought you said 15 and not 50. I called the morning of and said 50, and "five zero," but I think that got lost in translation, so they thought I only wanted 15. Oh well, they were able to accommodate. if you want sauce, it's an additional $1.50, but make sure to ask for it. We get the shrimp and pork ones, which are so good. The great thing is that you can eat thing while you're driving on the way home. My son and I ate like 3 each on the 20 minute drive home - no sauce needed. There are large pieces of shrimp in there, not the pureed kind that you find in some other kinds of eggrolls. They're about $1/each (depending on which filling), so it's actually pretty great to bring to large gatherings and they're always a hit!

Tia R.

Yelp
Here's the updated review: I heard about Kim Hong Eggrolls on Instagram, and I'm so glad I did! My taste buds and I were in heaven the eggrolls were absolutely delicious. I got the premium ones with pork, shrimp, and crab, and they were so, so good. My Boyfriend and I couldn't even wait to get home; We ate all 10 right there in the parking lot. This place is such a great hole-in-the-wall gem. Can't wait to make another trip out there for more!

Jenn C.

Yelp
Sooo good every time. Hot and fresh, my fave is the #6 vegetarian. The lady is sweet and funny. They accept card too with a small fee. Always come back for catering or craving!

Nimani P.

Yelp
BEST EGGROLLS TO BRING FOR POTLUCK!! Ordering is made simple over the phone, it's in a small location and kind of hidden which is why it's such a gem. i've ordered here on multiple occasions for birthdays, office potlucks and just to bring over to friends. I love the various options and every single one is flavorful. Pickup is easy and everyone i've interacted with there is always quick and happy to help. Will forever be my go to spot!

Carlos F.

Yelp
Their service is so fast! Needed a party tray of egg rolls and they had them ready within 20 minutes. Tried the veggie, pork and pork w shrimp and all were tasty The lady working is really sweet too :)

Marlena C.

Yelp
If you haven't had Kim Hong's egg rolls have you really lived? Ordering the crispy goodness through a literal hole in the wall is such an experience but the experience your taste buds will have is unreal. Spoil yourself of egg rolls for ever here! You must order a dozen and go on Sunday for the $1 deal. GET THE SAUCE! All the sauces before you have had will taste like trash compared to this reddish, orange cup of love.

Wan L.

Yelp
My go to takeout spot for egg rolls and banh beo in OC. Prices are reasonable and the food is good. Don't forget to order the dipping sauce! Place your phone orders for easy pickup. This place is literally a hole in the wall, no joke lol. Blink and you might miss the entrance. There's a few parking spots in the back. Be careful when driving in. Last time there was a guy sleeping in the middle of the parking spot...

Kayla A.

Yelp
Overhyped, lady is pretty rude, tried number 1 which was everything in one, lady said would be great and it lacked of flavor for sure, had better!

Nancy N.

Yelp
Egg rolls were perfect, and ON TIME. I requested a specific pick up time and I came right at that time and was handed my trays without any issue. The egg rolls were a great hit at my daughter's preschool, all the little kids loved it! I drove a little over 30 minutes for these egg rolls and they were SO worth it! Thank you! We'll be back! It's in a sketchy area though with just 3 other businesses, and it's just a walk up place (no dine in). You pay and pick up through a small window through a door. It's worth it though! The ladies were super sweet and they don't mess around, they're making little egg rolls like there's no tomorrow! Cheers!

Mary D.

Yelp
If you are looking for catering, Kim Hong Egg Rolls carries a variety of items such as banh beo (steamed rice cakes with a shrimp/mung bean paste topping) and egg rolls. You can order egg rolls by the tray or purchase a $10 minimum worth of egg rolls. Each egg roll is $1.20 so you'll need to order about 10. The premium egg rolls are very tasty, and consist of crab, shrimp, and chicken. Wait about 10 minutes and you will leave with piping hot, crispy, flavorful egg rolls. They also sell smoothies and boba here, although I have not tried these. So if you are in a bind and need something quick for a party, better call Kim Hong (not Saul j/k) and she will come to the rescue! This place is located in between the Arco gas station and right by Westminster High School. Parking can be found in the back of the store, and there is a small seating area in the front. Happy eating!

Mayna H.

Yelp
Found this on Yelp and decided to try. Best decision I ever made! I picked up the crab/shrimp/pork eggrolls in a small window in the back entrance and they were such a hit! I've tried many Vietnamese eggrolls all my life and there is absolutely no comparison. The ladies made it fresh and my order was ready for pick up on time. The only thing I'd say is buy your own bottle of sweet chili sauce($4), it's more cost effective compared to the small cups they sell for $1.50 but definitely returning!

Will V.

Yelp
Some of the best egg rolls I have ever had. Reminds me a lot like Filipino lumpia, even the sauce, except about four times bigger. The crunch and filling is exactly the same. Even the sauce is the same. The egg rolls were freshly cooked, as they were hot, in temperature, in the inside. At first the lady said "fifteen" when she offered the sauce, and I was like "fifteen dollars for sauce, no way," but she's learning English and what she meant was sauce was $1.50. Not bad for a fairly large cup of sauce. Each egg rolls is about $1 each. I think this may be cash only? Anyway, I highly recommend this place for egg rolls.

Jeanne H.

Yelp
So delicious! Number 9 is amazing. Number 1 also good. Eat right away and enjoy. Back door is where you order. Call ahead if you want.

Uyen L.

Yelp
WHAT A HOLE IN THE WALL! I stumbled upon this place on Yelp, and I am so glad I did. It's a little hard to locate since the store front is facing the street, but the entrance is actually in the back. You can't enter the actual store. Instead, there is a gated door with a little peep hole where you can pick up the food and handle payments. Outside the door is a big sign of the menu. The workers here are extremely nice and friendly and are extremely efficient. The eggrolls are fresh, and you can purchase dipping sauce for an additional fee. If you're looking for some eggrolls, this is it. I'll definitely be back to try their other menu options!

Kara M.

Yelp
Still the best eggrolls in all of LA/OC. The #1 (pork, crab, and shrimp) is my favorite and it's $1 on Sundays. Perfect for parties/holidays. :) Call ahead for big orders! Sweet chili sauce is extra charge.

Bob H.

Yelp
Hands down the best eggrolls in Westminster I've had so far. Other places are good or close, but this place is still hands down my favorite where I like to spend my money buying freshly cooked and buying the frozen ones to cook later. I did a review for place 10 years ago and yelp banned my account and all my reviews for some weird reason never disclosed to me.

Samantha M.

Yelp
Kim Hong has the greatest egg rolls! Pork and shrimp is a hit at every family gathering!!

Lily S.

Yelp
Very very good and piping hot eggs rolls. I brought it to a birthday party pot luck and they were all devoured

Sarah H.

Yelp
The pork and shrimp eggrolls I ordered were a huge hit! Service was very fast too and Kim was very nice. Great experience!

Terrence S.

Yelp
Best egg rolls I've had in a long time! Came here to pick up a batch of 30 egg rolls for exactly $36 for catering for a holiday potluck party, and it was a hit! There's different kinds of meat/filling, we got the #1 with combo meat. It was very flavorful, crispy, hot, and clearly homemade. There are no chairs or tables, as you have to order to go from a door around the back, and the entrance is hard to find, almost feels like you're entering private property. Seems a bit sketchy but that's how you know it's good! I would definitely come to pick up for other future potlucks.

Ryan B.

Yelp
I have eaten over 200 eggrolls from here and I am writing this on my way to go pick up 20 more eggrolls. This place is great and so are the ladies that work there

Kristina P.

Yelp
The ladies were so sweet here and the food was delicious. We ordered 25 of the frozen pork & taro and 25 of the shrimp eggrolls for later. We also ordered eggrolls #1,3, and 7, which they fried fresh for us to eat that day. Another dish we got was banh beo, which was not listed on the menu. I would ask what other items they have available if you're interested. There is no entry into the actual establishment. You have to park in the back and order food from the backdoor.

Peggy F.

Yelp
Don't let the shabby menu and building exterior scare you. This lady sells the best eggrolls. A wall menu of a few simple words in Vietnamese & English, with permanent marker marked-then-revised prices...and a couple of images expressing the ingredients of the eggrolls (crab, pork, shrimp, chicken) - this is all you get. Talk about a hole-in-the-wall place, this is IT. As legit as it gets. You'd literally have to walk up to the white gated door, ring the door bell, and Kim the owner will open up a tiny little window on her metal gate door to take and deliver your order. The shadiest vibe for a meal purchase I've ever encountered thus far. I felt a little scared to try this place at first but I'm glad I did. Authentic, fresh, delicious, well made eggrolls. You know she's good if she only sells one thing on the menu. There is a minimum purchase of 10 eggrolls. Credit cards accepted. Option #1 Crab Pork Shrimp Eggroll is the most popular choice and the one recommended by the owner herself. The ingredients taste very fresh and very well made. Fried to perfection - not overly fried or oily, light on the exterior wrapping, and plenty of meat! Option #8 Chicken & Taro Egg Roll - bought and tried 1 piece just because. It's good, but nothing seems to compare anymore after having #1 ... The owner Kim was very friendly, approachable, and very hard working. She recommends to call or text her before coming and she can have the order ready upon arrival. Freshly fried egg rolls takes 10 minutes to prepare. I would definitely go out of my way to purchase her eggrolls again. I texted her so she can text me back when my order is ready. In the meantime, I hopped back in my car to wait, ran a errand and came back for my order. She sells frozen ones too for you to fry at home yourself. Best to call or text in your order during evenings, since some evenings she may decide to close earlier than posted closing time. She basically just sell one item - and it's eggrolls. With slightly different options of eggrolls ingredients. So she's gotta be good. I was not disappointed. The drinks through, I didn't try and likely won't try. Kim was super nice and sweet to inform that they're made of powder which is not my thing. Convenient if you just want a quick add-on to a quick egg rolls lunch. Location didn't really stand out, parking and ordering window is at the back of the building with enough parking. I pulled a couple of U-Turns to finally find this place. But it was worth it. Will return. I bookmarked this place to my favorites.

Monda P.

Yelp
Amazing quality and fresh crispy eggrolls made to order but sweet and sour sauce is not provided with order no matter how much you get, it is an extra charge . The order window is in the back side business where parking is.

Lisa L.

Yelp
Picked up 100 Banh beo for a party this wknd! Parking/Ordering/Pick up is in the back. I came around noon and placed my order/paid then came back to pick up later around 4pm. They have a lot of the things on the menu, I will definitely come back to try other stuff.

Mercedes A.

Yelp
Best egg rolls ever! I love that I can call ahead and get them hot and fresh in 10-15 minutes

Tracy L.

Yelp
Take out joint with freshly made Vietnamese egg rolls. Found my go to spot!! Get your own lettuce and sauce...

danny k.

Yelp
Quick and delicious egg rolls fave is #1. If you have a larger order send her a text. They'll get it ready for you before you get there.

Bobbie W.

Yelp
Egg rolls were crispy and flavorful. I called and placed a preorder. It was ready on time. Friendly service. Parking and pick up door is in the back. If you're going south on Goldenwest; it's the first driveway. I mistakenly went to the second driveway and walked up to the front door and had to get back in my car and get to the right driveway. It was no big deal; but if the traffic is crazy good luck. Will be ordering again.

David K.

Yelp
Brought the pork and taro egg rolls here for a Fourth Of July 4th potluck! Yo, these were a crowd pleaser for sure!!! Definitely had to tell everyone that I made them... hahah! I would highly recommend coming here for any of your egg roll needs! Love supporting small Asian businesses, and they're quick with it too. Just give them a call, and you can be with some egg rolls as soon as you get there.

Long D.

Yelp
I came right before closing and she still took my order. She told me to call in my order if I didn't want to wait. It didn't take long. Egg rolls were legit. They're priced right. They're smaller than what I'm use to but not terribly bad. They tasted great. Close to how my mom makes them. Obviously not freshly rolled but in a pinch these are great.

wendy y.

Yelp
Hole in the wall with excellent tasting Banh Beo and crispy egg rolls. Please call ahead and place order. You will not be disappointed if you like Vietnamese food.

Grace C.

Yelp
I've ordered several times here. I always call in advance. Park in back lot. There's a window for transactions. I've liked all the egg rolls we've ordered: pork chicken+shrimp Crab+pork+shrimp $2 garlic dipping sauce Note that they don't always have all the egg rolls available so if you want specific ones, order in advance. They have other things you can order 1 day ahead. Too bad the menu is mostly in Vietnamese which limits their customer base. Wish they had a description or photos of the menu. I would love to try to order party platters from here.

Quoc P.

Yelp
This place has been around for probably 20+ years and last week was the first time I've ordered from them. I got the pork and taro for a little get together and it was a hit. The meat vs eggroll wrapper proportion was perfect. I will definitely be returning.

Milly V.

Yelp
All of her eggrolls are wonderful, but I absolutely love her shrimp eggrolls because they are to die for. She absolutely does amazing work and has all of her orders done on time and with love we love, ordering eggrolls for many events here and we continue to plan in the future to buy from her.
