Yelp
We started out for a fun evening, arrived & ordered drinks around midnight.
Within a few minutes all 5 of us had been targeted by thieves. We had just inexpensive crossbody handbags (nothing designer) & guys in our group. We are definitely mittelbrau looking, young professionals, varying ethnicities.
LAPD has the details as we are all filling out crime reports for theft.
These are organized crime type pickpockets -phone, wallet, cards, ids, car keyfobs, jewelry -stealing criminals who must be using this club as their source for fencing. Video cameras should reveal who they are. If you go here --you won't be able to relax but should be vigilant.
This isn't just as if one of us "lost" or dropped things; this is like hard core criminal activity. Also from pocket with only an id, a c card, & a Costco card--also stolen!
Bring a flip phone, no purse, crap jewelry (which may even be stolen from your neck), & some cash or a low $ c card + in your underwear or some kind of underclothing --money belt like we carry in other parts of the world. These thieves also took car keys from one of us--but dropped them later because the car was not at the club to also steal; otherwise, we'd add grand auto theft to this.
Beware.
If the club managers read
this--please think about how to make this venue secure for your patrons.
Focus less on dress code & more on safety--maybe install more cameras. Now that you're aware, you can catch these crooks.
It's serious, people--wake up! While you're taking selfies for social media, thieves are scoping you out as "marks".
It was really an awful evening we could have done without.
