20 LA Bars Where You Can Dance - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Kiss Kiss Bang Bang feels like a piece of Las Vegas got bored and moved to Koreatown. This slightly wild "speakeasy" on the bottom floor of The Line hotel has a light-up dance floor, several disco balls, an elevated stage, and the kind of bouncer who might send you home for wearing flip-flops. Expect to wait in line for at least 20 minutes on a Friday night, especially if you plan on getting in before 11:30pm for no cover charge. It's always a bit of a fiasco out front, but once you're inside the packed bar two-stepping to disco tracks it'll all be worth it. RSVP ahead of time if you plan on doing bottle service, and check their Instagram for updates on the DJ lineup before you arrive. " - Brant Cox, Nikko Duren

I don't know anything about food, I have been there almost 10 times. It's pretty easy! stay on the line or pay $20 to get inside without line. Drinks r good and you'll love the atmosphere and the vibe. Good Music and Good People. Just enjoy!!

Update: Just checked my credit card bill and discovered our bar tendress charged a 25% GRATUITY even though we left a cash tip. BE CAREFUL and put a line thru the tip field or the amount to avoid this scam. Nearly 20 bucks. I called The Line Hotel and gave them the information. They said they will have somebody follow up as the club has a separate staff. We went to catch a DJ on Thursday night. The manager and his guy at the door were polite and professional. Actually very accommodating. They suffer no fools so don't dilly dally or break the rules. DO BRING ID. Inside was a diverse crowd. The place definitely got full but there was plenty enough space from the outer ring area to watch and dance without bumping into others. Bar tender was quick and efficient. Sound level was perfect and not too loud. Would highly recommend an intimate and fun experience.

Google
Great fun. Disco theme, dancing, a varied collection of people. I don't think they have food.

Google
Cool little club with a nice stage area. I love the size and shape of the space and how it's all centered around the stage. Making it great for live music. It's just that the style of the space it not so much my jam, its kinda keech and definitely outdated.

Came here for an Film Festival after-party It was great. I've never heard of it, it's in a secret location the door is a legit ATM. The place looks nice has a nice dance floor and bar I'm not sure how crowded it gets or anything or how the food taste but it's a cool place to come with someone

Google
Love this place! Not your typical chic but monotonous club. This 70's discotheque-inspired club definitely has character. They'll usually play some version of disco/house, and the dance floor is always packed. Great place to come if you're looking to just dance! Also check out Breakroom 86 next door if you like 80's music

ACALDERON02

Google
We enter through a atm door then go through a cool light up hall way, enter the lounge, they have a colorful dance floor , cute decor , lots of picture opportunities, drinks were good, dj was playing music I wasn’t familiar with but still a good time. Definitely check out the speakeasy that is around the corner called Breakroom 86.

Google
The pda was disgusting as soon as I walked in the door. Aggressive bouncers for no reason and lots of theft. Very cramped. The performance and the decor are the only things going for this place.

Yelp
70s bar in Korea Town. The Houston Brothers have done it again. If you know their other spots, Good Times At Davey Wayne's, Dirty laundry, On The record, ect then you might be familiar with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. You walk in through a ATM machine and are transported back into a 70s dance club. Depending on the night the music may differ with the DJs but it's always a good time.
google avatar

NaeL S.

Yelp
Good place to go dance good music good promoter Herman the best Dj good they should accept cash I prefer
google avatar

Jasmine S.

Yelp
Overall, I enjoyed my time at this club. The music was mostly older pop hits, and I think the DJ had fun and interesting mixes. Big fan of the light up floor. The drinks were expensive and nothing special. I'd say the crowd was mostly 20s and 30s, straight people, no egregious behavior but still a fairly expected level of men violating personal boundaries.

Yelp
Came here for the first time two weeks ago and had such a great night. This is truly a disco club, the music is classic disco hits and the vibes are perfection. It was a Friday night at around 11 PM and there was a teeny bit of a line, but it was my birthday and the bouncer was so kind to let our small group in without waiting. When entering, you literally walk through jumbo ATM machines and are transported to the 70s with disco balls, colorful lights, and lots of funky/glam design. I had read reviews prior to coming that there has been some pickpocketing, so I was super careful and gave my friends a heads up...Plus my husband was with me and looked out for all of us. As for the crowd, it's your typical Wilshire Boulevard medley..A little bit of this a little bit of that. There were certainly some people that were overserved at the bar, in which we stayed away from just to be on the safe side, as I did not want to be another Yelper complaining about riff raff or stolen stuff. Back to the vibes.. next to the Dancefloor is a small stage where dancers come out on rollerskates to give a little show, which was super fun to watch. If you love, disco, this is the place to be. I'll be back!

Yelp
I went to Kiss Kiss Bang Bang because they host the Juicejoint which is a beautiful monthly event that every music lover should attend! The venue is very cute and the ambience is super chill tho I'd imagine that depends on whomever is playing that day! I really liked the decor! Food was catered at the event that I went to but the drinks were ordered at their bar! Parking was crazy and drinks were expensive but overall Kiss Kiss is a nice venue!
google avatar

Anita K.

Yelp
I don't know anything about disco but this place is a good time. There's definitely a bit of a line after 11 so come earlier if you wanna avoid that but it moved unliked some other places. I liked that it wasn't straight disco they switched out DJs and it was kind of an upbeat blend of that and dance music. Also it's like breakroom where they have performers come out and dance and they are so fun to watch! Def a fun spot to go if you wanna dance!
google avatar

Logan E.

Yelp
Super fun spot to go and dance! I parked I. The garage 3 blocks away and felt my car was safe there. (Opposite of Carl's Jr.) The manager was super friendly, as was the staff.
google avatar

Ethan Z.

Yelp
My friends and I love the dance floor here! The bar offers a good amount of lounge space and dance space for whatever mood you're in! The cocktails here are a little pricy but good and strong which is all that matters really. I think there has always been a good amount of people here no matter what the weather is like outside. The music is very dance-able and the ceiling lights and lit up dance floor makes it hard to want to leave. This is easily one of my favorite spots in K-town.
google avatar

Thomas T.

Yelp
This club is so fun! Great vibes and performers. It feels like you can let go at this club, not care about what others are thinking, and just have fun dancing on the light changing dance floor. If you go here, let go and have fun.

Alyssa G.

Yelp
Don't recommend this place. These two guys in the pictures were horrible. The manger is the one with the hat and the other dude behind him is his security guard. People in there steal your phone and when you ask the security about it he gets aggressive. My cousins phone got stolen and we asked the security and he got annoyed. We were looking around and he got offended that we were looking for the phone. We asked to speak to the Manger and the manager said "I don't care what happened, what do you want me to do." And the security guard was just laughing we left but it was such a horrible experience there is a lawsuit already going on with this place there are better places for you to waste your money and have fun.
google avatar

Kimberly C.

Yelp
Cool speakeasy vibe! The entrance of the place is cool. The serve pretty good overpriced drinks (per usual). It gave me disco vibes with the neon colored lights. There was a dance floor in the middle with some lounge areas that cannot be touched unless you have a reservation.

Tony V.

Yelp
Honestly the worst club in Ktown. My friends and I got a table and got bottle service and they provided drink glasses that were shattered and since the club was dark, I didn't realize the glass was shattered until a glass shard went in my mouth. Unfortunately, the glass shard cut the side of my tongue. We spoke to the manager and told/showed him what happened, and his first response was "Well what do you want me to do about it??!". We were appalled by their response. All the employees in this club are unprofessional. They all have an attitude and the club as a whole, had the worst vibe in all of Los Angeles. Save your money and time and go to another club.

Yelp
Real fun club came by accident music was blaring but I like that came in thru the secret door which was cool only thing was 2 shots were 50 damn dollars goddamn but I would still come back to party here just a lil more tipsy cuz baby I could of bought a bottle for that price overall fun night for my birthday a couple months ago PS we met this man THAT NIGHT and he wanted to take a picture

Christine D.

Yelp
Awful. My phone got stolen from my fully zipped bag literally seconds before I was about to leave. You'd think if you're careful this shouldn't happen to you. As I was leaving three other women said they all got their phones stolen as well, within minutes of the incident I had. The manager and bouncers could not have cared less :) They also don't give tap water and charge $5 for bottled water.

Yelp
This nightclub has a disco/70s era vibe. Myself and two other people came around midnight on a Friday night to check this place out for the first time. It was pretty jam packed during the time we were there. The cost of a cocktail was under $20 and typical of what you would expect from a nightclub like this one. The music was ok, but I was hoping to hear music that went with the vibes they were going for (70s/disco era music). They were mainly playing more recent dance music. This is a good option if you want to let out some energy.

Yelp
@Chris Cox, @Wendy Ultreras, @Erik Olivares On New Years, I was convinced at the door to upgrade and assured I would get a refund for the previous tickets I bought. 2 months have passed and I still have not received a refund. Please respond.

Steph B.

Yelp
DRINKS WERE HELLA EXPENSIVE. Lots of old people with weird moves. Idk, didn't like the vibe at all. It wasn't disco whatsoever
google avatar

Alexis O.

Yelp
They always have pretty cool events and artists. I just wish they would scoot the patrons over so they didn't block the whole sidewalk when pedestrians are trying to o walk when they have events. The place is intimate/ medium but it's a cool place to visit in the heart of ktown

Stephanie S.

Yelp
They force you to buy water, they won't give you a cup for free. Absolutely ridiculous and a safety concern after spending too much money on drinks.

Charli X.

Yelp
I love this club!! they played my new album!!! Yess!!! It was the best night of my life
google avatar

Ashley K.

Yelp
This place is very cute and passes the vibe check. The bathroom is clean and the patio is 420 friendly so it's a win for me drinks were pricey but that was expected! I came for a good time and I definitely had one!

Yelp
We started out for a fun evening, arrived & ordered drinks around midnight. Within a few minutes all 5 of us had been targeted by thieves. We had just inexpensive crossbody handbags (nothing designer) & guys in our group. We are definitely mittelbrau looking, young professionals, varying ethnicities. LAPD has the details as we are all filling out crime reports for theft. These are organized crime type pickpockets -phone, wallet, cards, ids, car keyfobs, jewelry -stealing criminals who must be using this club as their source for fencing. Video cameras should reveal who they are. If you go here --you won't be able to relax but should be vigilant. This isn't just as if one of us "lost" or dropped things; this is like hard core criminal activity. Also from pocket with only an id, a c card, & a Costco card--also stolen! Bring a flip phone, no purse, crap jewelry (which may even be stolen from your neck), & some cash or a low $ c card + in your underwear or some kind of underclothing --money belt like we carry in other parts of the world. These thieves also took car keys from one of us--but dropped them later because the car was not at the club to also steal; otherwise, we'd add grand auto theft to this. Beware. If the club managers read this--please think about how to make this venue secure for your patrons. Focus less on dress code & more on safety--maybe install more cameras. Now that you're aware, you can catch these crooks. It's serious, people--wake up! While you're taking selfies for social media, thieves are scoping you out as "marks". It was really an awful evening we could have done without.

Yelp
Good ambience. Good music. Was a bit scared to go based on all the reviews but we came out happier than we went in and we didn't get robbedddd
google avatar

Yelp
Good club under line hotel in ktown. Line moves fast but definitely a smaller club so it does get pretty packed.
google avatar

Rose B.

Yelp
This bar is so fun! Great vibes, fun music. It was crowded but that is everywhere. Go here to boogie the night away!
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
No food. Fun place. Lots of great late 80's, early 90's music being spun by a DJ. Pretty good drinks, but definitely seemed more on the "well drink" side. Bartenders were ok; not very people oriented. Other staff were excellent. Clean place. They have a show at midnight and one. The show last approx 6 min. I'd go again. Fun overall .

Chris B.

Yelp
Don't leave your card at the bar because they will overcharge you and just throw random charges on your card. This has happened multiple times and it's fraud. Straight up fraud. This most recent time it hasn't yet been resolved despite repeated calls. Do not go here.
google avatar

Christy K.

Yelp
This is a fun and groovy little dance spot. Cocktails are good, the atmosphere is fun, the staff are attentive. Great place for a friends night out.

Ethan B.

Yelp
I went with some friends, two of my friends (both women) and I got the same drink. Theirs were like 3+ shots alcoholic and mine tasted like juice. Pretty scummy to try and get women completely wasted. Wouldn't be surprised if they trafficked ppl here since they seem to have a phone and money robbing problem.

Daniel S.

Yelp
If you leave your card at the bar, they will fraudulently charge you between $100-$500 per day until you cancel it and report the fraud.
google avatar

Maddy M.

Yelp
I didn't know what to except from Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. My limited knowledge of hipster bars in my elder millennial years led me to believe it was a bar, but I was really surprised at how cool this place was! Definitely felt like I was older than everyone in the club, but the decor and ambiance was awesome. I'm a disco freak, and being here just made me so happy. Light up dance floor, disco balls and lights everywhere...it was super funky and I loved it. Now, we went on a WEDNESDAY night, so I imagine it's way more chill than a weekend. We had a great experience with security. There was no line so getting in was a breeze. They took their time checking our vaccination cards and IDs which is appreciated. HOWEVER, almost everyone inside was not wearing a mask, even people who were not drinking. It was kind of uncomfortable to see how many people were just out there with no masks, and no one seemed to be enforcing mask wearing at all. The club itself isn't that big, and the sound from the bands playing was a little TOO much I thought, to the point where it just didn't sound good. Also, I wish they had more than 2 bartenders working because people were cutting in left and right, so while I had been waiting 10 minutes already, whoever jumped up to the bar in front of the bartender's face was served first. Maybe I'm too old and grumpy for hipster bars now ha! But overall had a good time and would come back here for a live show on a weeknight again.

Yelp
My friends and I had a terrible experience here on New Year's Eve, 2023. 4 Of us spent $500 on getting a table, and 10 more friends of mine spent $50 each for the NYE Event. The table ticket said it came with $500 pre-paid dollars to spend on drinks, and $50 tickets said Open Bar after 12:30AM. The 4 of us with the table went in first in a separate line, and they gave us a bottle already tapped with a liquor pourer (I found out later from a bartender friend that this means the bottle is watered down). After about 15 min, we checked on our friends in the line, only to find the manager arguing with them. The manager on NYE was insisting that "Open Bar after 12:30AM" means entry after 12:30AM. Clearly he wasn't trying to be reasonable and was just trying to scam more money out of us. No one uses "Open bar" to mean access to the bar, and what is the point of getting access to a club after midnight on NYE? He accused of trying to freeload (After already spending over $1,000 on tickets alone) and he kept using racist tropes (Our group was mostly Asian and Latino). By 11:30PM, we had had enough of the manager and just wanted to leave. However, the manager won't give us the ID and credit card he took when we went in. He didn't return the card until he charged us for an additional $500 for the bottle that was already open, insisting that $500 pre-paid dollars were also not real. It was so disappointing because my friends and I had really enjoyed and frequented KKBB in the past and that's why we decided to splurge on the table for NYE. We like to spend money on venues we love, but we hate to be scammed. I strongly advise anyone from getting tickets or table from KKBB, because it doesn't matter if you read the terms/conditions carefully. KKBB and its management simply won't honor it.

Mark M.

Yelp
Three members of our group were robbed within minutes of each other. Two phones and a wallet - gone. This is a separate incident from the other reviewer mentioning that his friend got robbed, but it's eerily similar... Once we realized what had happened were standing in the hallway trying to figure out some details and immediately the bouncer insisted that we had to move. I told him I was just trying to find my girlfriend's phone which had been stolen and he immediately got even more aggressive. He eventually ripped off his jacket and tried to fight me until I left. It's definitely suspicious how quickly he wanted us to get out of there... I have since tried to contact the establishment to find any details about who might have been behind this. It would be super easy to figure out. I know exactly when the phone was taken based on when its location was turned off and exactly where the girls were standing when it happened. I'm sure there are cameras that literally captured the entire incident. I've reached out to the establishment via DM and voicemail multiple times and they haven't replied to me once. As proprietors of an establishment, they have a responsibility to make sure everyone is safe and they're not just creating an environment in which thieves have a free-for-all to rob people. But it seems like the owners could care less. Take your business (and your belongings!) elsewhere.

Yelp
Absolute banger place. Ambiance was amazing and vibes were through the roof. Went to see Clavette Thursday night, and he killed it on the decks. So much fun. Alex, the bartender, gave excellent service and was really friendly.

Gabriel V.

Yelp
Been going here for a while, spent a good amount of money here, I like the ppl drinks and music. One night the security guards accused my friend and I of stealing phones? Which was not true we were just there trying to have a good time and they had no evidence they just said they had a feeling, maybe because we were the only Mexicans there so we sticked out. Anyways my friend and I are not thieves and stealing phones is a dumb crime, we have our own phones! Security guards were tripping and they lost some regulars that would spend a lot money here. Security guard told my friend to "get a job you bum" when in reality my friend is an electrician and this guy is a bouncer at disco bar called "kiss kiss bang bang" lol Kicked us out for no reason, we were just there to enjoy music and mingle with ppl Bunch of goof balls
google avatar

Kassandra G.

Yelp
My boyfriend really loved this place. Only thing is it gets very crowded. The music was great.
google avatar

Chris A.

Yelp
Definitely a must see especially for those visiting LA. Fun, young 70's themed night club with glowing dance floor and stage performances. BE AWARE: It's a small venue so recommend arriving early as a pre party destination before it gets too sloppy. We saw multiple occurrences of young douche bags stirring up trouble. One dude actually got behind the DJ decks and disrupted the DJ. The DJ decks need to be more isolated from the crowd imo. But despite all that, it's "far out" and represented the 70's vibe well. SPECIAL MENTION to Marquis working the door. Excellent customer service! Doing his job the right way with class
google avatar

Amber S.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night around 1:45 am and was in the door pretty quick. We were hoping to get an extra hour out of daylight savings, but they ended up wrapping up at 2:30. The music was just okay, but we appreciated that the drinks were strong (about $35 for a tequila shot and G&T after tax and tip) and the people in the club were high energy. My favorite thing about this place was the lights and layout of the space. We were able to grab a table for a bit before moving to the dance floor, and never had issues getting drinks. Granted, we did arrive pretty late in the night! Will have to return and see what its like earlier in the night.

Yelp
Love this bar. The ambiance always screens dancing disco to me. Not so much for the people, but the music. The dance floor. The feeling you get when you have a fresh drink at hand and you just know you came to groove.
google avatar

Ëhtarrie J.

Yelp
The ambience is a cute vibe. It's a small nightclub full bar with mini stage it was Monday and I believe it was open mic night/karaoke
google avatar

Zach S.

Yelp
Pretty chill night club. $13 for a drink and no cover fee at 11:30pm; so I consider that a win in my books.

Mike G.

Yelp
Celebrate my birthday here, bouncers were nice.bottle service was great. The place was nice

Brian M.

Yelp
Love this place. My friends and I go all the time, even for birthdays when we get the chance. We had a mix up one, but the bouncers have worked it out. Thanks you KKBLA!

Olivia F.

Yelp
I wish I could give this club zero stars. Despite enjoying previous nights at Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, where the bar served adequate-tasting drinks and the music was always enjoyable, last Saturday was a nightmare. My phone, driver's license, debit, and credit cards were stolen. I've partied at countless nightclubs and bars across Los Angeles and Europe and never experienced such a violation of security. In fact, the security guards nor bartenders were approachable. Unfortunately my friend also lost her phone, and we encountered another person who also lost theirs. Since this incident, I've learned of other recent cases of pickpocketing at Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Honestly, I bet anyone would be treated better partying at the 7-Eleven across the street than this establishment.

Paul D.

Yelp
Multiple friends' phones got stolen and the security team was aggressive when we told them about it. Management ignored all of our followup calls and emails. Reviews on other websites confirm this is happening to other people here, so avoid this place.
google avatar

Sara B.

Yelp
There's no where else I'd rather go out on a Friday night! Always such a great time, and the staff (especially JR) are the best :)
google avatar

Karen B.

Yelp
The club itself and bar is good. HOWEVER, there is a man that hangs out with the club promoters at a table near the front who is friends with the owners. All night my friends and I were dancing and he kept grabbing up and trying to get us to leave to go home with him. We all told him no and he kept grabbing on me. I told him to stop and on the 4th time I told him if he kept touching me I would punch him. He then began yelling at me and not one bouncer did a thing. When leaving the door bouncer told us he's the owners friend and he's like this all the time. This is ridiculous and no women should be subject to this kind of harassment.

Isaiah O.

Yelp
Beautiful place on the inside. The lights and decor were definitely a highlight. I did happen to notice my friend and I were the youngest ones there and I assume everyone else were millennials or older?
