The Best Ramen in Portland and Beyond

"This upscale, Japan-based ramen franchise now has three locations in the Portland Metro, and it hosts a sizeable ramen menu, including tsukumen dipping ramen, vegetarian shiitake broth, or the extra-creamy garlic tonkotsu shoyu. The shop offers add-ons from more than a dozen additional toppings, like soft-boiled eggs, chashu pork, and fish cakes, and also sells make-at-home ramen kits for emergency noodle needs." - Zoe Baillargeon

19 Beaverton Restaurants Making the Portland Suburb a Dining Destination

"This Tokyo-founded ramen brand is one of many ramen shops in the Beaverton area, though we love Kizuki for its luscious tonkotsu base, well-complemented by the ramen shop’s black garlic oil. The stock here gets a 16-hour simmer, for maximum depth of flavor, with a pile of springy noodles and thinly sliced chashu. The restaurant’s izakaya menu includes classic dishes like takoyaki, onigiri, and agadashi tofu." - Krista Garcia, Janey Wong

11 Incredible Izakayas in Portland and Beyond - Eater Portland

"Find a handful of standard izakaya snacks along with signature ramen bowls at Kizuki, the Portland outlet of this Tokyo-based franchise. Lighter shio and shoyu broths are available, but the hearty garlic tonkotsu version is deliciously rich and porky with a garnish of fried garlic for good measure. The fried chicken a.k.a. karaage is also a must-try, available a la carte with spicy mayo or served on a bed of lettuce as a salad. Takeout and delivery are available." - Krista Garcia

One word to describe this place: DELICIOUS! From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the inviting atmosphere and the delightful aroma wafting from the kitchen. The service was exceptionally impressive—truly top-notch! Every member of the staff was attentive and genuinely engaged, ensuring that each customer felt valued and welcomed. The restaurant maintained a pristine cleanliness that only enhanced the overall experience, reminiscent of the charming eateries I’ve visited in Osaka, Japan. Their dedication to creating a warm and inviting environment is commendable. We can't wait to return and share this hidden gem with our friends. Keep up the fantastic work!

Google
Literally the best ramen you will ever have! The servers were extremely kind and amazing. I truly appreciate the energy and vibes that they brought to our experience. The food came out very quickly (even though we were a party of 7). It was pipping hot and super fresh. I got the spicy miso which was absolutely phenomenal! It was so rich and flavorful. I would have liked it a little spicier, but it was still perfection as is. The soft boiled eggs were the best I’ve ever had. So flavorful and divine. They also have an amazing vegan pork option that tasted incredible and was the BEST vegan pork I’ve tasted. Even the texture was spot on. The price was amazing for the quality that you receive. I would have paid $50 for it, it was that good! If you are looking for a new ramen place to try out that won’t break the bank, has superb quality, and wonderful service, this is the place you MUST go to!!!

Google
Five stars mostly for the accomodations. I really like the kale option for noodles, especially for someone who needs to go low carb. I will say, I think it isn't that much of a carb reduction, it still sent me to sleep because of a carb crash, but I really appreciate the effort. --- appetizer --- Tuna onigiri ⭐⭐⭐ - wish there was more tuna - wasn't fishy though so the fish was really fresh Potato croquette ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - really good texture and flavor - creamy and crunchy Karage ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - a good default app - too expensive for 6 pieces of karage - not super crispy --- ramen --- All star ramen ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - liked the broth, was interesting with a kick Spicy tan tan ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - not spicy at all - loved this with an egg and greens

The food here is absolutely amazing from the first to the last bite! I especially loved the rice bowl. The staff is super friendly, and our waiter was very accommodating to my preference for non-spicy food. I had the shoyu ramen, and it was delicious!

Google
I recently ordered the tonkotsu shoyu ramen with chicken karaage for delivery. The packaging was impressive—high-quality bag, chopsticks, and soup spoon. The ramen's broth was rich and creamy, characteristic of tonkotsu, but I detected a miso undertone that wasn't to my liking. The pork belly addition was a highlight—tender and flavorful, with generous portions. I highly recommend adding it to your ramen. The soft-boiled egg was slightly overcooked and could have benefited from a longer marination to enhance its flavor. The chicken karaage was crispy and delicious. . The accompanying chili paste, spicy mayo, and gyoza sauces complemented the chicken well, each adding a unique flavor dimension.

Updated (May 31st, 2025) Visted for the second time, and this time, we ordered Garlic Tonkotsu Syoyu, Hakata ramen with a boild egg added on, and Karaage. All of them were so great, and I really enjoyed my Hakata ramen. It's great for someone who loves tonkotsu but doesn't want too rich flavor. + This time, staff pronounced Japanese clearly and correctly. I was impressed by that, so I updated my rating. ======================= It was better than I thought. I liked the garlic tonkotsu shoyu. Tsukemen was not bad, but the shoyu flavor was too strong for me. The only two things that slightly bothered me were the music, which was K-pop, and the staff keep pronunciating tonKOtsu as tonKAtsu.

Google
The Tonkutso Ramen is good. My husband likes his Japanese chicken curry (although he says he likes my curry better). Nice looking place inside. My only complaint- it was still daylight outside but the blinds were already drawn inside which made it really dark inside. I asked the first waiter who came if we can have the blinds up a little bit by our table so I could see the menu better. He just flatly said, "No, we can't." I don't understand why they can't raise the blinds just a little bit so the customers can read the menu. Otherwise, turn the lights up a little bit inside to accommodate. The waiter returned to get our order, and saw me using me my phone flashlight looking at the menu. He looked surprised. I'm not sure if we're coming back. There are a lot of Japanese restaurants here in Portland that offer great Tonkutso Ramen.

Google
Ordered food home as we had a long day and wanted to veg. Was pleasantly surprised when our food showed up in a lovely reusable bag. Tried the Japanese fried chicken, potato croquet, Gyoza, and chicken curry. The Fried chicken and potato croquet were perfect. I want more. Each came with it's own sauce and was just about perfectly sized for a single serving. The gyoza was nothing special but well made. And the curry came separate from the chicken and rice so it wouldn't get soggy. Deliciousness all-around. Can't wait to visit in person.

Yelp
This was my first time here and it was splendid! Celebrated my dad's birthday here and all the food we had was delicious and full of flavor. The interior Japanese design is beautiful and I loved it so much. The table setting was really boujee to me compared to a lot of other Japanese restaurants. I loved the vibe in there and the food again... to die for. Definitely loved the spicy chicken tan tan & will be back for more! Shoutout to our handsome server Devon for the recommendation!

Yelp
I'd give it a 3.5 I've been there numerous times but didn't really try their appetizers in the past. When they're "pieces" they're actually a piece cut into 2 so it looks like there's 'more' but it's not. I'm not trying to bit picky but like croquette, it's cut into 4 small pieces, it felt like it was quite expensive for the price you pay. The sauce was also very sweet, it didn't go very well. Agedashi tofu was mid and they were very small pieces. Pretty expensive again. I know all prices are going up but I feel like I could eat these appetizer at other Japanese restaurants for a cheaper price OR they give you more it's it's more worth it. The ramen was okay, nothing outstanding but low sodium was still pretty salty for me.

Yelp
The seating and service was super quick, the noodles were al-dente but the broth and chashu were weak. The egg was eggcellent and the broth (garlic tonkotsu) was garlicky, without being overwhelming. Would be back but there's far better ramen in the area.

Yelp
I had the miso ramen at the Kizuki in the Food Hall in downtown Portland and was impressed that their ramen is still so good even with the addition of other sites. Great service too.

Yelp
Good Evening Yelpies !! If you're looking for amazing ramen then look no further. They do it the way is should be.. from scratch. Each dish is well displayed and the flavor is amazing. When it comes to service then be ready to get your mind blown because the type of professionalism going on here is the best. So get in here and relax grab a drink and soak in the traditional vibe and amazing customer service

Yelp
Not sure if they changed the name recently? it is listed as Kizuki here, but the front door signage has been change to kakui? Either way the aesthetic is incredible. You almost feel transported with the murals and the large lanterns. The open kitchen concept is perfect for ramen too! The staff were super friendly and we were seated quickly. It was much busier than we had expected for a weekday. We split the chicken karaage which was fantastic, Highly recommend! I ordered the spicy ramen while my wife had the shoyu miso ramen. Hers was definitely more savory and is quite heavy on the umami. I had mine low sodium and I definitely could feel the difference between the two broths. Mine felt lighter with a healthy touch of spice even for medium spice level. All the ramen come with the fixings including, bok choy, beansprouts, corn, and bean sprouts. my only disappointment was that the ratio of protein was low.

Yelp
We went on a Friday night and it was busy. There's a kiosk to check in for your party but I don't think it gave an estimated wait time, so it was kind of difficult to plan around. The service wasn't great, and, honestly, we had to actually flag someone down to get to go boxes or even pay the check. The person who sat us tried to give us a thorough rundown of the menu, but was talking so fast and gave us so much information at once that it wasn't actually helpful. The food was okay - my husband liked his spicy ramen, but the regular spice was too spicy for him and he is able to handle his spice. For vegetarian options, there's only one ramen and it wasn't particularly flavorful. I've definitely had better. I also ordered a taro milk tea, which was a little too sweet for me, but was probably my favorite part of the experience. I won't be back, but I did give it a shot.

Yelp
Fantastic tonkotsu shoyu ramen. So flavorful and delicious. The bamboo shoots tasted so good and had no weird flavor like is often experienced at other places. The service was good and the ambiance is good and very Japanese. Definitely will continue to come here

Yelp
I don't mind making the drive to this location because they serve up delicious noodles. Service is good and food comes out at a decent time so nothing to complain about. The appetizers are great here. I usually get the house salad and geso. The decor is about the same as the other Kizuki's here. Sometimes the wait can be long so go at an off time.

Yelp
This is a happening place! Restaurant was already 1/2 way filled within minutes after opening on a blustery Sunday morning. Greeted & provided options on seating, we chose a 2 seater near the window. Excellent menu with various ramens to choose from as well as rice bowls and sides. Order the regular spicy tantan which had just the right amount of kick. The egg is cooked exactly the way it should be. Firm on the outside and tenderly gooey on the inside! Yum!! Excellent portions. The broth is robust and flavorful. Water refilled as needed. Friendly service, clean location.

Yelp
This place is an absolute vibe. The bowls are massive and so flavorful. The waitstaff on top of it, I got in and out of there with a great meal on a quick lunch break. I love the seating options for solo or group dining.

Yelp
My husband and I really enjoyed our meal here. It only took a couple minutes to get seated, and our server was attentive and helpful, willing to give us recommendations if we so desired. The menu items we chose were all delicious and fresh, and we especially loved the ramen. The tonkatsu shoyu ramen and the miso ramen both had such flavorful broths, and all the toppings really complemented the soups overall. We will definitely be back soon.

Yelp
Came on a Tuesday at 5:45, we were seated immediately, orders were taken, then food served within 10 mins. Very fast service. Place is clean and servers attentive. 1st time to try their Ten Don (vegetable and shrimp tempura) with rice. It was great! Will keep coming back.

Yelp
This was my second time here. I loved their ramen the first time and wanted my family to experience the food. This time around I came on a late Friday afternoon with my family. We came for the happy hour which is between 2-5 p.m. Plenty of parking when we arrived. The area is in a large shopping center close to a Market of Choice grocery store and other businesses. Last time I was here I wondered why the name on the building (Kukai) is different from the actual restaurant name (Kizuki). Anyone have an idea? Forgot to ask staff. lol. We were one of three diners at the restaurant. The deco and ambiance was on point with Japanese themes, lanterns, background pop music, etc. Loved the lighting, wall decor, seats. We checked-in on the small tablet by the entrance and waited to be seated. We were seated quickly. Day was our friendly server and she was great at explaining the menu items. My son has gluten allergy so it was nice to see they have a nice allergen information sheet which was quite helpful. Day also informed us that the Shio ramen items are gluten-free and there is a legend on the menu showing items made without gluten, many in the Izakaya section. The bathrooms were clean and my boys were excited to see the automatic mouthwash dispenser. I haven't seen those in a restaurant before. We ended up trying the following based on Day's recommendations. You have a choice for traditional or low sodium. We eat healthy so we went with low sodium. There is also an option to add pork belly and other items for a fee. Drinks: $5.50 Lychee Lemonade $5.50 Strawberry Lemonade Appetizers (Happy Hour Menu) $7-Chicken Lollipop (Drumettes) $9-Fried Scallops Food: $16.50 - Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen - this is the most popular ramen and I enjoyed the extra rich broth. The flavor was amazing. $16.50 - Spicy Ramen - It was really good but SPICY! We underestimated the spice level. Opened up all our sinuses. lol. $13.50 - Chicken Shio Ramen - boys loved it. Food was great, Enrico spent time checking on us every so often, and I spent sometime teaching my boys how to use the chopsticks. The plastic ones are hard to master. Overall, great experience. I think this is one of the best ramen place around. Will be back. Oh, the carry-out bag is gorgeous! I'm saving that one.
google avatar

Yelp
I went here twice. The first time I went I was tired and did not think to review the garlic tonkotsu ramen I had ordered. The second trip I had the takoyaki and the tempura don. All three dishes measure up to the ones I had in Japan. Between the good food and the modern decor it would make for a great place to take a date.
google avatar

Yelp
This place has a beautiful ambiance and delicious food! So much to choose from different ramen bowls, I had a hard time making up my mind. I did however wanted to try their chicken karaage which came out fast and hot! The flavor did lot disappoint, I wish they gave more spicy mayo sauce though. I opted for the rich garlic tonkatsu shoyu ramen. It was a bit salty but delicious. The ramen noodles were nice and chewy and it came out hot. Service was fast and friendly!
google avatar

Bethany W.

Yelp
I haven't eaten at this place in over 7 years, and it seems to be just as good as I remember. The ramen came out super fast (we had 5 bowls at our table and they all came out together)! Made to order and hot! The bowls may look small, but the broth is so amazingly rich, that the ramen and all its components easily fill you up. (As a noodle-soup lover, I can easily down huge bowls of noodles ok.) Our karage and takoyaki came out soon after, and both were perfect side dishes to have with ramen. Servers were attentive and really welcoming. I love the decor and warmer/darker lighting inside. Overall, Kizuki is the OG ramen place in Portland so come here for quick and tasty ramen!

Yelp
This was the first time ordering from here and I must say... it exceeded my expectations. We ordered the following items (To Go): * Chicken Wings: The citrusy garlic glaze is absolutely delicious! * Onigiri (w/ Bonito): This was good but since we did a To Go order, the nori was soggy by the time we got home. I'd definitely get this again if we decide to dine at the restaurant to ensure I can taste it as intended (crispy nori). * Pork Chashu Don: I added corn (an additional charge of $2.50). This was really good; I made the mistake of ordering the Large and they weren't joking! A Large will definitely feed two people! * Spicy Ramen: My wife really liked this! We would definitely order all of the above again! And I may try other things (I'm looking at you, Karaage Bun and Prawn Cutlet)! Also, even though we didn't add beverages to our order, I see that they serve Coca-Cola! Win! The service was quick and our food was ready for pick-up quicker than estimated. Luckily we got there early, too, so we actually didn't even have to wait. And the employee that retrieved our order was very kind. We went on a Friday night and the restaurant was packed, which I believe is a good sign? Parking was ample, too! I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Alyssa S.

Yelp
I love their shoyu ramen and all the fixins. Their broth is delicious and I absolutely love the egg! Their noodles are pretty good as well. I often get the chicken karaage for my kids- they rave about it. I generally get take out & am always impressed by the presentation of their food and products.
google avatar

Aiden L.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the service was the worst, and as for the food, the ramen noodles were the only decent part; the broth tasted like seawater. They offer a "less salt" option, but anyone who's had ramen in Japan would know that the so-called "less salt" version is actually the original. They brought me a cup of water with bubbles in it, and while I was eating, they started spraying disinfectant on the table right next to me--I nearly gagged. And then there's the staff awkwardly saying "Irasshaimase" in Japanese that was so bad it sounded like they need retraining. Honestly, they'd be better off not using Japanese at all. Their random, butchered pronunciation was really unpleasant to hear.To think I had to pay such an expensive price to eat food served in cracked bowls... I never want to come back here again.
google avatar

Carlee M.

Yelp
I've been on the look out for tsukemen dipping noodles in portland, so thank you kizuki! if anyone knows any other places to get tsukemen, let a girl know! there are a few locations in oregon, but I do prefer the beaverton one over the others. I've had several of their ramens & you can't really go wrong with any of them, but my favs are: * tsukemen dipping noodles (hot, tonkatsu) - concentrated, more flavorful broth served on the side. dip noodles. love, love, love . * yuzu shio - love almost anything with yuzu * garlic tonkatsu shoyu ramen PARKING: lots of parking, restaurant is a part of a small town center AMBIANCE/SPACE: space is pretty large, but there is sometimes a wait even on weekdays. love the decor, atmosphere & open kitchen concept. PRICE: paying between $12-$16, depending on what ramen you get
google avatar

Kiara Mae S.

Yelp
The best ramen in Oregon! The broth is so flavorful and the food always hits the spot! The servers are always nice and attentive every time I came here. They also have a Rewards system which I love because who doesn't like points? Definitely recommend!!!
google avatar

Miki M.

Yelp
It's been quite a while since I've been here. I'm not much of a ramen eater anymore but since my family and I were nearby, we thought we'd come by for lunch. As usual, there is a bit of wait during peak times (we waited about 20 minutes), so I was ready to devour some ramen as soon as we got seated. I really like their Chicken Rich Ramen here. This is one of the few pork-less ramen they have and they make up for it with plenty of chicken flavor. Their chicken chashu is soft and tender and the ramen is topped with the right amount of fix-ins. I love the menma they use, it has a delicious soy sauce marinade on it. The spinach and green onion add a nice pop of color too while soaking up the delicious chicken broth. After all these years, their quality still remains. I highly recommend anyone that loves a hearty bowl of ramen stop by here!
google avatar

Jeremy R.

Yelp
The Ramen at this restaurant is out of this world! The restaurant is very clean and the server's are very polite. The Ramen broth had a great flavor not watered down.
google avatar

Ivan K.

Yelp
The chicken karaage looked nothing like the picture on the menu. Taste wasn't bad but was almost too dry and too much fat inside. Lots of rice - I could eat even a half of it. Not sauce on a side - they probably forgot. I guess it's a hit or miss. I'm surprised the salad was good, not tasteless like at other restaurants, so that was surprisingly good! Probably won't order again.

Jovina F.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing! Service was quick and efficient. My waiter, Devon, walked me through the menu and made ordering simple. Gave a great recommendation with the Peach Green Tea. The ambiance was clean and classy. Will definitely be back
google avatar

Yelp
The ramen is really good. Especially on a cold winter evening like when we went. We ordered the popular garlic tonkotsu and the hakata ramen. Both had lovely but different complex flavors and portion sizes were good. Unfortunately the service felt off. Water was totally empty and not refilled for our table or the two next to us. While we ordered quickly, the couple sitting next to us where sitting there a long time before anyone came to their table to order. Given how close our seats were to them - we are practically sitting at each other's table and it was hard not to notice.
google avatar

Shanelle K.

Yelp
Great spot for some good quality ramen I ordered the garlic tonkatsu ramen and subbed pork belly and it was delicious! I like how there's different noodle options available including kale noodles for a healthier choice. The food and service were amazing, we ordered quite a few items and it was delivered to our table fairly quick. Overall, we had a phenomenal experience and would highly recommend!
google avatar

Reece D.

Yelp
Always amazing service and great food. Garlic shoyu tonkotsu is my go to ramen order.

Tiffany M.

Yelp
I had a craving for ramen when i stopped by Kizuki Ramen. The food was sooo good! I loved the broth. The service was friendly and quick! Will be going again for sure!
google avatar

Andrew A.

Yelp
The name change to Kukai (sp?) is a little confusing as the street sign still indicates Kizuki. And the reason they changed the name was odd. Most items tasted "Beaverton-ish", meaning there was a hint of inauthenticity to it. I barely finished the Japanese Pineapple Shochu and don't recommend it if you're expecting something even close to Korean Soju. Everything else was middle of the road, nothing too memorable. The Hiyashi Chuka (cold noodle) just lacked that something. The Agedeshi was good though. * The backs of some of the large table seating absolutely sucked, very uncomfortable. There's no support for your mid-back and up. Many love this place so take my review with a big grain of salt. To be clear: nothing was bad, but just okay. On the plus side our server was very kind and service was very fast!
google avatar

Lainey H.

Yelp
The ramen flavor is pretty consistent to the Kizuki Seattle's location, love the consistency! The yuzu shio ramen is perfect for the summer time, super refreshing and light but very flavorful. The one thing I would like is if they have more than just 2 options for beer. Overall the service was great and they have low sodium options, kudos!
google avatar

Isabella B.

Yelp
I was craving some ramen and searched up this spot spontaneously and im very glad I did! The ambiance is clean, cozy, tasteful, and perfect for an intimate date night or catching up with a friend. The service was super timely and our waitress (couldn't get her name!) was super attentive and kind. I'll definitely be coming back to try other menu items.

Yelp
Definitely a good spot for ramen. The ambiance is nice, modern and sleek decor. Feels like a modern ramen and Izakaya shop. The service was quick and efficient, the food came out in less than 10 minutes after ordering. The restaurant itself has a good amount of parking available which is nice. The things we ordered: Potato Croquette, Chicken Karaage, Takoyaki Octopus Dumplings, Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen. The potato croquette was crispy, and hot. It had a nice soft mashed potato filling with small bits of veggies like peas. It was a little sweet and had some tonkotsu sauce on top. The chicken karaage was crispy and juicy. It looks like they use chicken thighs, very good with the dipping sauce. The takoyaki was good but it didn't feel fresh. Usually Takoyaki is piping hot and it sorta burns you as you eat one. Only the outside was hot and the inside was cold. It was decent. The lychee lemonade had a nice balance of lychee and lemonade in it. The garlic tonkotsu shoyu ramen, we got two with regular sodium and another one with low sodium. Since it was my first time here I got the regular sodium level broth and it was fine just got salty as I ate more. Next time will get the low sodium one. The broth was good though, nice flavor. The seasoned egg was cooked perfectly and had a nice soy flavor. The ramen noodles were chewy. The pork chashu was okay and it also came with some bean sprouts, bamboo shoots and seaweed. Overall, good ramen and probably my favorite one I've had in Portland to date.

Yelp
Food: -Not pictured: Spicy ramen is always my go to. The ramen here is always cooked to the perfect texture and soup flavor is temperature is on point. -The Pork Tonkatsu: my bf got this since it was new on the menu. Unfortunately the portion was extremely small, and only came with a side of cabbage and not filling whatsoever. It felt like a small portion even for an appetizer. The pork itself was extremely tough and hard to eat. When biting into it, the pork just fell right out of the batter. Service: - Unfortunately we sat at the smaller booths behind the work station so it was hard for the employees to see us. I kind of felt forgotten because we had to flag down an employee for things throughout our visit. I don't mind it though. Overall staff was extremely kind and welcoming! Ambiance: The place was really clean and comfortable. I really appreciated how well the staff cleaned each table after use. We went around 2:30pm so we got a table right away!:)

Yelp
I absolutely loved everything I ate and drank here! We walked over for dinner while visiting friends in Portland. We had to wait for about 20 minutes to get a table because there was a line when we arrived but it was so worth the wait. I ordered pork buns, the gekikara super spicy ramen and the plum wine. Everything was so delicious - especially the ramen! I can't wait to come try other ramen here!

Yelp
I've eaten here several times and they are very consistent with there food. The tonkotsu ramen is excellent with very flavorful broth, firm noodles and a great seasoned soft boiled egg. The service is great with very helpful staff. Obviously this place is a hit since seems pack for dinner. If you are looking for a solid bowl of ramen or chicken karaage or anything else, then consider Kizu

Yelp
So far this may be the best ramen in Oregon I have tried! The service is always amazing and the garlic tonkotsu shoyu ramen is super flavorful with nice thick noodles. The decor is nice to look at with a nice Japanese theme.

Yelp
Food is delicious, service was to go, but went well. Highly recommend to try! When I crave ramen, I go to Kizuki

Yelp
Absolutely the most amazing meal I have had since I moved to the Portland area! The experience from the to go bag it came in with the soup spoon and the chopsticks. Everything was incredible.

Yelp
Portland has a lot of ramen shops. Kizuki is one of the better ones, and they have invested in making it feel like you are in Japan. We had four different types of ramen - the menu is expansive, and all were very very good. Not as good as being in Japan, but what is? It's in a shopping area in Beaverton with plenty of parking.

Yelp
Pretty much what I expected from a chain ramen place... mediocre and overpriced. With so many great ramen places nearby, this place shouldn't exist. I should have gone to Ninja Ramen.

Yelp
I've been to Kizuki a few times (in person and takeout). I like it because there is a lot of variety of types of ramen and meats and additions. I like corn in my ramen! This time I sort of felt like they wanted us to hurry up and leave...they tried to take our order 30 seconds after we sat down. The server was helpful with menu questions and once we ordered, the food came very quickly, which was nice. My ramen broth and noodles tasted good but I don't recommend the chicken in it. It was dry and flavorless. For us and the two couples on either side of me, I noticed the staff pounce as soon as it looked we they were done eating to offer the check. Not in a helpful way but in a hurrying way. Also it was FREEZING inside. We weren't near the door. My theory is they want you to be uncomfortable and leave quickly. It worked!

Yelp
This place is great. I newly moved to LA and this is my favorite spot ever to get Ramen. The service is great, the people are efficient, and the food is amazing. this place is amazing at any time busy or not. The workers are friendly and love to chat. You should definitely come here.

Yelp
We've been eating here for years, and trying other places as well. IMO, Kizuki still has the Best Garlic Tonkotsu :) Noodles is inconsistent sometimes - chewy/a little undercooked. Otherwise, fantastic taste! Ask for habanero hot sauce on the side if you like spicy!! And don't forget to order their chicken wings. We love the lime sauce that comes with the wings! Service is way better now compared to a few years ago.

Yelp
Having not been here in about five years we were pleasantly surprised to find the food is still top notched! Name is still confusing as it still says "Kukai" on the building (after over five years). Ownership has changed but name outside doesn't match menus and everything inside. But ramen is still a five star!!

Yelp
Wish the service was a bit better and didn't make my husband and I wait a while for things like drinks or the check. The ramen was amazing but it was kind of hard to enjoy when you're worried you'll knock something off the small table.

Yelp
Still trying to find my Ramen fix....Went in with high hopes based on reviews but unfortunately didn't come even close, sadly!!! Ramen was just ok....Okay broth but definitely mediocre ingredients plus very dry pre prepped chewy low quality protein. Chicken Karage was highly recommended but was just ok? Takoyaki was super disappointing and definitely don't recommend.....Freshly frozen preparation is fried? No bueno and especially if served still frozen in the middle!!! Returned and of course not charged but a mediocre apology??? Definitely not going back and my search continues
