The 18 Best Restaurants At Grand Central Market - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"The questionably named Knead Noods is our go-to stall for a casual yet exceptional bowl of pasta at GCM. Our favorite is the fantastically garlicky aglio olio, with high-quality olive oil covering every square inch of the al dente lasagnette noodles. The spaghetti and meatballs are good, too—the rich, flavorful meatballs are the main event, though we appreciate the bits of short rib in the red sauce, too. Whatever you do, don’t skip the garlic bread. You’ll need it to soak up whatever sauce is left on your plate." - Brant Cox, Nikko Duren

Knead Review - Ojai - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Knead is a local institution you’ll want to pick up and carry back to LA with you. The pastries at this little bakery are great (get a sticky bun), and the very simple bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich is even better. You can get it all to go, but why sit at the awkward wobbly table in the place you’re renting when you can sit inside and watch all the locals coming in to pick up a loaf of bread and gossip with the owner. Although you should get a loaf of your own too." - Jess Basser Sanders

Google
This is a great option for Italian food at Grand Central Market. Chicken Parmesan sandwich, meatball sandwich and spaghetti & meatballs are amazing! Strawberry lemonade is delicious. Portions are big and it’s nice to see how they prepare your food in front of you. Served very warm! Friendly staff.

Google
Knead Noods is a must-visit if you’re craving fresh, handmade pasta in a lively atmosphere. I tried their Spicy Vodka Fusilli and an Arnold Palmer, and both hit the spot. The Spicy Vodka Fusilli was fantastic. The sauce was rich and creamy and had just the right amount of heat to give it a kick without overwhelming the dish. The fusilli was perfectly cooked, with its ridges soaking up all that flavorful sauce. It was a comforting yet bold dish that I’d order again. The Arnold Palmer was a refreshing complement to the pasta. It leaned slightly on the sweeter side, but the balance of tart lemonade and smooth iced tea made it an excellent thirst-quencher. Overall, Knead Noods delivers on flavor, freshness, and quality. This spot is excellent for a satisfying and flavorful pasta fix if you're at Grand Central Market.

Google
The chicken Alfredo was bland, no seasoning, just a watery taste to it, and the chicken was also bland, with the batter just falling off of it and being tasteless. The only redeeming factor for me was the parmesan fries

Tara Ryan

Google
The steak sandwich was amazing. The bread had the right amount of crunch and the fillings were delicious. The marinara fries were also really good. The veggie pasta was sadly a little bland though. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was packaged thoroughly and beautifully. We would love to come back!

Google
Noodles and Alfredo sauce were definitely not made in house. Noodles were from a box and the sauce was definitely from a can. If you know good ingredients you know this is not it. The workers were friendly and the bread was delicious but pricey.

Save your money and make pasta at home. Not terrible but the prices are very high for what you get. Just some basic pasta, they give a lot of food but you can seriously go to a good Italian restaurant in LA for the prices of the dishes here. Nothing special. Was a little let down, especially on the fact that there's so many good food spots within GCM.

Google
The food didn't taste bad, but it was just so so. We had a chicken parm dinner and spaghetti meatball. It didn't take too long for our food too come out. The portion could have been bigger. This place is more for grab and go than a sit down. It's good they have a few good beers.

Google
If you’re looking for some AMAZING Italian food with homemade pasta, this is the place to get it. My boyfriend and I visited the other day and ordered Alfredo with shrimp and Mac and cheese with chicken. The Alfredo was creamy, cheesy, and delicious, and the shrimp were tender, cooked perfectly. The pastas were so good, you could tell they’re homemade. The Alfredo had nice thick spaghetti type noodle and the Mac and cheese had shells. The Mac and cheese was SUPER cheesy and so so good topped with crispy fried chicken breast. We ordered at the counter kiosk and our order was ready in just a few minutes. Highly recommend giving Knead a try!

Yelp
My wife and I have been eating our way through the Grand Central Market and it was time to try Knead Noods Pasta Bar last weekend. We were both super excited to give this place a try since my wife loves pasta and I love pretty much everything edible. We came here around 11AM and both struggled to decide on what we wanted. The menu here has sandwiches, pasta dishes, wings, and a few other things I don't really recall. I ended up ordering a meatball sub and we split an order of the wings and we also split a meatball just to see what it was like. When the food was handed to me, I was very excited to dig in and had super high hopes for this place.....sadly, I was let down. I started off with the meatball and though it wasn't bad, it also wasn't that great. The meatball itself wasn't hot and the sauce just tasted pretty bland. Next, I dug into the wings and as someone who has never stopped eating an order of wings, I tapped out after one because I absolutely hated the sauce that was on the wings, just not for me. Finally, I dug into the meatball sub and it was pretty solid. Not entirely sure why I was cool with the meatballs in the sub but not the solo one, but the bread was solid and the sandwich itself gets a light thumbs up from me. I also ordered a lemonade on the side and it tasted like a lemonade, so I was satisfied enough with that. Overall, Knead Noods Pasta Bar just didn't do it for me. Although I enjoyed the meatball sub and didn't hate the meatball, the wings just weren't good and I can't see myself checking this place out again with so many other awesome places in the food court. Oh well.

Yelp
We got the spicy vodka fusilli pasta with the pork meatball. The meatball was well seasoned and very juicy - we would rate it a 5/5 on its own. The pasta was also very good, creamy and well-seasoned but we wish it was a little spicier (4/5). We had no issues with the service - you just order at a kiosk and they call your name when the food is ready. The ambiance is fun since the restaurant is in the middle of Grand Central Market. We enjoyed the meal/experience overall and would come back again!

Yelp
If I had a favorite food or had to choose my last meal...without a hesitation would be spaghetti and meatballs. Easiest answer. Thus, why I'm surprised to find I Knead noods so much! This place is phenomenal and easily my new fav. I've seen other reviews say they're hit or miss. If that's the case, this is a World Series, game winning, hit it out of the park homer!!!!! I can't wait to go back to chomp these noods and voluminous balls again!
google avatar

Yelp
My vodka fusilli with added meatball was delicious and portion size was generous. It was a bit of a wait with only a few people ahead of me, but that's what you get if you want fresh food!

Yelp
Well, a solid 3 stars. Fast casual pasta placse aren't really a thing, so I'm v grateful to Knead for satiating my pasta needs. I ordered the spicy vodka fusilli ($15) which is fusilli pasta, spicy vodka sauce + basil. I also added some crispy chicken (+$5.00). The first few bites were very excellent. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the spicy vodka had some spice to it. Then every bite thereafter tasted only okay. The excitement of flavors petered out fairly quickly. The breading separated from the chicken leaving in its place just a piece of broiled chicken. I really have no issues with chicken ever, in life, but for some reason, the chicken texture was a little slimy and I wasn't into it. Knead is the perfect place to visit because sometimes pinpointing a bowl of pasta can be difficult.

Yelp
Perfection in it's simplicity. Proof that great pasta can be done street vendor style with the right ingredients and skilled hands. Cooked stovetop in a Chef's pan right in front of you when ordered, and delivered in a to go box, this Spaghetti and the two large Meatballs was incredibly satisfying. Absolute go to now when looking for a quick pasta fix in Downtown L.A.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered through UberEats so my boyfriend & I could have our food delivered on time for lunch. If I could rate below 1 star I would! I paid $50 for two pastas & had missing items / food was undercooked Spicy vodka fusilli-- missing side order of fried chicken. Pasta itself was okay, but pretty bland without a protein Spaghetti & meatballs-- meat was completely raw when biting into, my boyfriend didn't end up finishing his food

Yelp
I was hoping the other reviewers were being too harsh. Unfortunately my husband picked up our vegan no-cheese order and verbally confirmed twice that it was. Got it home, covered in cheese. Also there wasn't much sauce. Can't keep trying here w the price so high now.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to pick up some wings when in the Grand Central Market. Baked organic wings tossed in a spicy Italian buffalo sauce. Order at the kiosk. You need assistance the employees can answer any questions for you. Not much of a wait quick service. This is solely for the wings though. Of course there is pasta here and also sandwiches. Next time around I'll have to try the noods or one of the sandwiches.

Yelp
Saturday afternoon, they were very busy. Got in line to order alfredo pasta ($14) with chicken (+$5). The total came out to $20.81 without tip. We paid cash, which is only possible if helped by a team member, otherwise, you can use the self-service screen. The service was attentive and helpful! Got the past in 10 minutes. The alfredo sauce and pasta itself were alright, but I'm glad we ordered the chicken with it because it had a nice crisp and became a flavorful addition to the pasta. 4 stars for the overall experience, not solely based on the food.
google avatar

Yelp
I liked this stop a lot. The pasta is prepared fresh right in front of you (you can watch them do it) and it is clear that this is fresh and made same day. I ordered just the spaghetti and pomodoro sauce as this is my favorite test of a restaurant to see if they can do it right. It was flavorful and light and filled me up just right. The strawberry lemonade I thought was a little expensive until I received it. It was HUGE (I know it says 32 oz on the menu but I still wasn't expecting it to be that big because there's no ice so it is all lemonade). It is made with fresh strawberries and you can taste it. I took a star off because I wasn't absolutely blown away nor did I think it was necessarily worth the price -- but what else can you do when you're in downtown LA?
google avatar

Yelp
My first time at Grand Central Market and it was definitely busy! I had no idea where to start and what to eat since there were so many options. But knowing me, I love pasta so I gave this place a try and it definitely did not disappoint! The spicy vodka pasta was definitely really filling and a big portion! I had to share it to finish it! There were lots of places around to sit with a busy environment like a market! The pricing was a bit high but overall, I'd still be back to try other foods there next time!

Yelp
Fantastic service! Ordered lunch here today and definitely will be back for more. I added the breaded chicken to the creamy Alfredo.

Yelp
This is a pretty good Italian food stand inside the Grand Central Market. My partner had been wanting to take me to the market for a while now, and on this particular day, we found the opportunity to go. After walking around deciding what to eat, we selected Knead Noods for a late lunch. You order in-person or on a tablet, and after we placed our order on the tablet, our food came out pretty quickly. I got the pesto pasta with chicken and a lemonade, and my partner got a meatball sandwich. It was quite filling and satisfyingly delicious. I'll probably stop by Knead Noods again if we're ever back at the market.
google avatar

Jia Y.

Yelp
I will give this place a 3 just because its portion size for the fries was for two people at least. Food itself was alright - the taste is meh with just pizza toppings baked with fries so if you are into that thing, go for it. The fries were super soft which is pretty good. The people are nice though!
google avatar

Yelp
Ambiance: the Italian food court is specializing in making pasta and sauce Service: very friendly and patient with questions, provided useful suggestion, though the waiting time could get long for the pasta Food: fresh pasta and tomato sauce made daily in-house Conchiglie Arrabbiata - **** Calabrian chili tomato sauce and parmigiano reggiano on shell pasta, bold flavors with emphasize on acid, recommend Ciabatta - *** the sliced bread was dry, but good filling into pasta sauce Brown Butter Rice Crispy Treats - *** overly sweet Price: decent portions and very affordable prices for the premium quality, expect around $20 per order
google avatar

Yelp
I used to go here pre-pandemic and I would always get the four cheese pasta. This was my first time going again since then and the menu has changed ;( I was gonna try their pasta but it seemed like a small portion for the price so I just went for cheesesteak. I ordered their cheesesteak with an arnold palmer. The cheesesteak was saucy and the bread got that nice crunch. Crispy and soggy at the same time I enjoyed it. The arnold palmer tastes a tad more lemonade ratio than I'm used to but it was still yummy.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
If you were to describe this place in one word, I'd have to say fresh! Like the name says, they knead fresh pasta nearly every minute. Ordering is very easy; there are two kiosks at the front where you can choose which pasta dish you want, with the option to either make it gluten free, vegetarian, etc. If you're unsure about which noodle to choose, they have a glass display on the side with each pasta option labeled. You can also order by scanning a QR code if you'd prefer that route. Price is pretty reasonable and the portions are pretty generous. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs with a San Pellegrino water on the side and it came out to $20. The noodles are perfectly cooked to al dente and the meatball was delicious. The meatballs were flavorful and huge (about the size of a tennis ball). Seating is a little hectic, so try your best to score a spot if you are able to. We parked in the parking structure right next to Grand Central Market which was a little tight to maneuver around, but wasn't too expensive.

Yelp
3.5 stars #3 of October 2022 DineLA experience. For $15, I got the Conchiglie Arrabbiata, ciabatta, and rice krispies. Portion is huge, so I had leftovers for dinner. The sauce was bomb! It was perfectly acidic and had a slight kick. I wish there was more sauce for me to dip my bread in. The bread was pretty forgetful. The pasta shells were just ok. Served piping hot, the pasta was perfectly al dente, but as it got cold, it became too tough. Definitely thicker than pastas I'm used to. Rice krispies were kinda nice texturally and was a good dessert to signal the end of the meal.
google avatar

Aaron L.

Yelp
Cool concept. Good pasta. Portions are very small for the price. My biggest issue is that they cook / reheat your spaghetti in teflon pans. Why don't they just use stainless steel, put the sauce in first and then cook it that way? Is saucy spaghetti really going to stick to the pan? I don't think so. It's really not well thought out.
google avatar

Kislev A.

Yelp
Knead moods Pasta Bar is a shop in Grand Central Market that make their own fish pasta. They sell them too so you can take some of the goodness home. Their Macaroni & Cheese is very cheesy and the pasta is perfectly al dente. The portion is so big and full of cheese that you could feel its hefty weight. Especially since we added the Crispy Chicken. Fresh Strawberry Lemonade was very tart. There was no line to order and it was easy. You just walk up to the computer pad, start online shopping and pay. The line to pick up took longer, but it's still reasonable considering they're making the dishes to order.
google avatar

Alex K.

Yelp
The chicken pa sendwich was awful. No sauce and the chicken was frozen. The meatball was the only thing good about this meal.
google avatar

Alex R.

Yelp
Been a frequent enough customer in that every time I'm at GCM I order at knead. I've recommended it to several of my friends for the fresh pastas and fantastic ingredients. It's now come been three separate visits where it just lacked. The time before last I ordered the meat balls with sauce except I didn't have any sauce. I went back to ask for more gravy mentioned the noods were missing any real gravy and was charged for a laughable portion. Something I'd imagine would have already been served. Went to knead today and ordered some spaghetti with gravy. I subbed the spaghetti for rigatoni and opted for crispy chicken. I get my food and the chicken was piping hot, prepped like I'd hoped. Issue ONCE again was my pasta barely qualified as sauced. Pasta was piping hot and a good bite to it but like before it wasn't sauced. Lacked any flavor. Terrible value and going downhill. This is poor execution.
google avatar

A L.

Yelp
So inconsistent. I've ordered a bunch of times, and only once would I say the meal went off without a hitch, which is a low bar. One time the pesto was so salty it was inedible. Another time the pasta was so saucy and that I cooked another portion of pasta to add to "dilute" it and it was still plenty saucy. Another time the pasta was undercooked. I've always ordered to-go so it feels like a gamble every time when I get home...but lose enough, and Imma stop gambling.
google avatar

Kimberly I.

Yelp
The Mafaldine Aglio Olio was beautifully presented, with perfectly cooked, ruffled pasta. The dish's simplicity, using high-quality ingredients, was impressive. The sage was fragrant but not too strong, and the olive oil was rich and smooth, coating the pasta evenly. A touch of red pepper flakes added a slight kick, balanced by fresh parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Absolutely delicious! definitely will be coming back to knead noods soon.
google avatar

Veronica A.

Yelp
I loved going to Knead noods pasta bar! Grand Central Market itself is a buzzing market filled with so many delicious food options. The line to order at Knead noods was not too long. I chose to eat at Grand Central Market, they have plenty of seating and it's always great to people watch there. I enjoyed these two dishes with a friend right after Seltzerland down the street and it was the perfect meal post- event. The mac and cheese was absolutely amazing -- cheesy perfection if I am being honest. I also really enjoyed the Garlic fries but I do think the star of the show was the mac. Looking forward to trying more of their dishes when I visit Grand Central Market again.

Yelp
Food is scorching hot so you know it's fresh. Couldn't support my bag from the bottom as it was burning. A little underwhelming portion wise which is why I think the rating here is low, but the pasta is delicious. Wings aren't worthwhile in my opinion. Alfredo with Crispy Chicken - pasta is delicious, a little tougher and thicker than spaghetti so it's almost a middle point between spaghetti and udon. Would not be surprised if its made in house. Alfredo was creamy and so good. Adding a protein was definitely the right choice so I recommend it. I opted for crispy chicken which is essentially katsu and while it wasn't the best (a little dry), I was able to take the excess Alfredo sauce and add it to the chicken. Red Jungle Wings - wings were nothing special. Standard chicken with a subpar seasoning. There was a light kick of heat but not really hot and the Italian seasoning was mild at best. I'd skip this.

Jane D.

Yelp
Have the Alfredo. My most picky eater just devoured it. A good portion for the price.
google avatar

Harrison T.

Yelp
Stopped by Grand Central Market for lunch yesterday and I saw Knead and I knew I had to get some tasty pasta for my meal! You order and pay via the large Toast registers and I got the Malfadine Aglio Olio since I typically don't see this pasta type at most Italian restaurants and I love a wider, thicker pasta noodle! It cost $10 before tax and I did not get a protein to add to it but I will next time and that would add around $3 more to your total! I waited about 10 minutes for my food to come out and that felt pretty quick for me and it was piping hot in the bag when they gave it to me! They offered utensils and then I was off to eat! First, the pasta was cooked al dente and not overcooked at all! There was a generous amount of chopped garlic in the bowl and I loved that since I am a big fan of garlic. The buttery, garlic flavor that I was getting hit the spot and worked really well with the pasta and there was a bit of heat from the chili flecks on top! One downside that I do have is that the portion was a bit small for what you were paying for and that is why I deducted a star from a 5 to a 4. Otherwise it was delicious! I will be coming back in the future for sure to try their other pasta dishes and there is plenty of seating around in Grand Central Market. If you are a fan of pasta, you gotta come here!
google avatar

Audrey M.

Yelp
I live nearby, but I've avoided this place because of the middling reviews. Well I finally tried the Malfadine Aglio Olio today, and wow. The fresh pasta was perfectly al dente, and the sauce? Delicious. Maybe a little too much cheese on the garlic bread, but this was a solid 4.5 star experience. That makes it a full star underrated here on Yelp, so I'm very happy to give them the full 5.
google avatar

Kent V.

Yelp
Spaghetti and meatballs really hit the spot for lunch after a hike. Generous portion for $15 with 2 huge, delicious and tender meatballs. Tasted like restaurant quality food in a quicker fast food almost type setting. I like how they have screens where you can order up front - makes getting your food faster. Highly recommend. The pasta had so much flavor and tasted really fresh.
google avatar

Katie R.

Yelp
My recent visit after 2 years later and the portion of the pasta seems like it is significantly smaller. Smaller portions don't bother me but it is now way too overpriced for what you're getting. It's such a shame because I love how al dente and fresh their pasta is. Parmesan garlic fries were nice and crispy and they gave plenty of fries at least.
google avatar

Michelle G.

Yelp
This is the best pasta i've ever had! Have been coming here for around 3 years. The chicken is amazing, it's so crispy and pairs well with the alfredo pasta. Located inside Grand Central Market so it's usually always busy, but the service is great and doesn't take long to receive your food. Strawberry lemonade and garlic bread are also a must try!
google avatar

Nicky N.

Yelp
This place has the best spaghetti and meatballs. I ordered my son some and I was in love at first bite. I never had pasta that was so tasty. I usually don't get pasta because it's usually simple and often bland. The pasta was cooked perfectly cooked and not al dente. I like my pasta on the well done side. Their spaghetti pasta was also thicker than most places. I never had anything like it. The sauce on top of this thick luscious pasta was amazing. It was super hearty tomato meat sauce with shredded meat and 2 meat balls. The sauce was perfectly seasonednand well balanced. I usually add salt and extra extra cheese to my pasta but there was no need to because the dish was perfect. I loved every bite. The funny part was it was actually my son's lunch but I couldn't help myself. I enjoyed his food more than my tacos.
google avatar

Josh J.

Yelp
I tried the wings the flavor was good but you can taste the pre cooked flavor just reheated in the oven not fresh taste...was really disappointed in the wings. Really wish they were freshly cooked because the flavor is there.
google avatar

Chryseis M.

Yelp
This is located in Grand Central market so finding seating was rough. I ordered the Mac and cheese and garlic Parmesan fries. You order on a tablet but there isn't a dedicated waiting area. The food was out pretty quickly considering how busy it was and the staff was friendly. The Mac and cheese was ok nothing overly special but the chicken was amazing. They give a whole breast and it was cooked to perfection. My family loves the garlic parm fries and the serving they give is definitely enough to share. Eating in Grand Central Market is loud and busy but still an enjoyable ambiance.
google avatar

Yelp
Grand Central Market seems to be a popular tourist spot as well as a ton of locals! Among the various options in Grand Central Market, it was a pretty tough choice to decide what to try! I ended up walking around and found this pasta place looked interesting to try. I ended up getting the Alfredo and really liked it! The pasta noodles were a bit thicker (like a spaghetti noodle, but a lot wider). The sauce had the right amount of creaminess. The ordering process was very simple with the kiosk had good descriptions about what they offered Also amazing that they had a visual display of the noodles they have right beside the kiosk to make a better decision for what you like.

Yelp
Let's break this review into short and sweet categories! -Price: lol.. it's like mall prices (aka you're going to pay more than you expected) -Wait time: Our wait time was around ~10-15 mins (it was very crowded) -Food: I got the pesto pasta (I actually think it may have been gnocchi) and the fried chicken. Appearance = everything looked DELICIOUS Quantity = they give you a good amount! Can make 2 meals out of it! Flavors= the chicken was 5 stars! But the pasta/gnocchi was around 3 stars. It just needed more of a kick. It was kinda bland to me. Additional salt/seasonings would have really make it *chefs kiss* -Would I come back? Yep!

Yelp
A surprising value pick in Grand Central Market. I'm a sucker for meatball subs, so had to try it. For $15, wasn't expecting much. But the quality was there, and it was a huge amount of food as a bonus. The red sauce tasted home-made and wasn't overly sweet. The meatballs were perfectly tender, although I wish they had a little more saltiness and depth. The cheese was nice and gooey. The sandwich is huge. Big enough for two. Share with a friend, and try something else in the market would be my recommendation.
google avatar

Robbie R.

Yelp
Solid food. The pizza fries were great, reasonably priced and came with alot of food. The mac and cheese looked great but had not much flavor. overall a great place to stop at
google avatar

Celine C.

Yelp
Pasta sounded like a good idea when we walked by Knead Noods in Grand Central Market. Ordered the PestoGnochetti pasta with shrimp and it exceeded my expectations to be honest. The garlic pesto was flavorful, but definitely super oily though. Gnocchi was extremely al dente, which means that it has a more chewy than soft texture. Shrimp, around 5-6 pieces, were cooked perfectly, not rubbery at all. I would like to come back and try Spaghetti and Tomato to see how it compares to Pasta Sisters.
google avatar

Melanie L.

Yelp
I got the alfredo pasta with crunchy chicken. The pasta was unfortunately dry despite the sauce. I probably would have had a completely terrible experience if it weren't for the chicken. Omg... that chicken was perfection! Sooo crispy and juicy. PLUS the little extra toppings on it... (I hope you can see that emoji haha). Maybe it was a bad day for the pasta. I don't know. But the extra money for the chicken is totally worth it. Maybe I'll give this place another chance. Parking: garage next to the market. I think it was like $4 for the first 90 min?

The spaghetti and garlic bread were SO GOOD!!! I also had the chocolate chip toffee cookie, which was good, but it felt like it was missing something.

Yelp
Came to grand central market for lunch and this spot caught my eye. I ordered the malfadine aglio olio, which is supposed to be a butter, garlic and lemon pasta. This pasta esas so BLAND! They tasted as if they were just taken out of boiling water and drizzled with butter, there was no prominent garlic flavor or lemon. I had to add chilli peppers to get some flavor and still didn't finish them because they were bland and a bit undercooked. I also got a chicken Alfredo like deep dish, that is what is giving them 3 stars instead of 2! It was okay savory but also needed more sauce! I would look at other places in grand central market

Yelp
Really enjoyed the food hear. Can order with the cashier or the tablet. My son got the Alfredo with chicken added and said it was the best he ever had. My meatball sub was delicious. I just wish the bread was a bit sturdier. The sauce made the bread incredibly soggy.

Yelp
This review is for anyone trying to search online for more info about the gluten free options (since I had trouble doing this): They have gluten free pasta and you can select if it's an allergy. However there is no labeling telling you which sauces are gluten free, and the cheese sauces that need a roux are not gluten free based on the response I got. I reached out to ask and it's only the tomato, Sunday gravy, and vodka sauces. I emailed and didn't hear back so I messaged through Instagram and they contacted the chef and got that info for me. Great that you can label an allergy for the pasta, but would be nice to not have to ask the very busy staff which sauces are safe or have to reach out to the company since it's labeled nowhere. Especially since it's pretty common nowadays to label things as gluten free optional if you just change one thing (the pasta) and it's then gluten free. Or gluten "friendly". And not sure if the pesto or anything that's not a "sauce" is gluten free since I only asked about sauces and am not sure if the answer was covering all pasta options. The service was fairly fast even though it was busy. The GF pasta was OK but nothing special for $3 extra.

Yelp
A friend and I shared the Pizza Fries, "shoestring fries tossed in garlic butter, topped with tomato sauce and Mozzarella. Toasted to golden brown." Personally, I think it's risky business doing fusion food. But what can go wrong with meshing iconic American foods such as pizza with fries? Well... it wasn't bad, it just wasn't memorable. Maybe we should have had the pasta. For now, no thumbs. Arrivederci.

Yelp
It was difficult to decide what to rate this place because there were things that I really liked and things that I did not. Things I liked: - They have ordering stations on big iPad like devices instead of ordering with a person. Normally I would hate this, but it's so loud in grand central market that it works. - the spaghetti and meatballs was delicious. The pasta is all made fresh and you can tell. It's thick and has a satisfying bite to it. The sauce was like a mix between a tomato sauce and a ragu (they call it a bolognese which is definitely not what it is), but it is really good. They also put a generous helping of parm on top. Tasted very fresh and hearty. - the bread on the sandwich was also very good Things I didn't like: - the inside of the sandwich did not have much taste. It could have been better. - I wish instead of calling names out they texted you when your order was ready. They already take your number upon ordering and it's so loud inside that you need to stand very close to the stand to hear. That area is basically a bottle neck and somewhat inconvenient to stand in.
