We started off at the bar with half price appetizers at Happy hour 4-6. Got the oysters and the fried mozzarella. Delicious! Great beer on tap and cocktails. Awesome attentive bartender. We reserved our table for 6:15 but got there at 5 - a good idea since u can partake in the appetizer specials at the bar and then head to the table. We had filet and of course lobster thermidor. Both were great! Great service - wine was excellent. A great treat knowing what u are in for $ wise. I will go back again next year for or our 1st wedding anniversary! If you can, for a table for two, ask if there is something more private. No biggie but the table next to us pretty much was on top of us.

We went for a birthday dinner back in August. Our reservation was for 8:15, but we didn’t get seated until almost 8:40. Once we were settled, though, the experience improved. The corner we were seated in was very dimly lit, which might make reading the menu a little difficult for some. We started with the calamari appetizer, which was delicious. For my entrée, I had the seafood risotto—and it was sooo good. Drinks were well-made, and our server was excellent: attentive, friendly, and helpful with recommendations. Overall, aside from the longer wait to be seated, it was a really good experience.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. we were in luck we had this appetizer..ribeye capping. It was absolutely delicious I've never had had such a melt in your mouth piece of steak in my life. I still can't shut up about it lol our dinner was perfect and keep in mind when you get a side from here. It's definitely enough for two people it's a full plate side (family style like) the rosemary carrots Delish the potatoes we're good but could have been a little more crispy and have a lil more seasoning/flavor the mushrooms were perfect as well . I was so full I didn't have dessert unfortunately.next time for sure ! Our waiter was fantastic. I love that! He even gave us a little schooling on what ribeye capping is, what the real name is and he gave us the whole little history about it. I thought that was very cool 😊. Worth every penny ... Think about it if you're willing to spend $50 to $60 a person at longhorn's, Texas Roadhouse you might as well go to knife and fork and get a better service and a better quality of meat as well . Spend the extra and come to knife and fork . And if you have a chance to get that. Ribeye capping get it !!

Had an amazing dinner at KNF. It was my first time eating here at it came highly recommended. I enjoyed everything I had. I started with the mixed greens salad, had the 12oz filet with spinach and lobster risotto as sides for the table. EVERYTHING was delicious. I will be back! Our server was knowledgeable and personable. It was a bit loud as the drinks flowed and kicked in at all the tables on the 2nd floor. By the end of the night, we couldn't hear each other from across the table.

Great meal. Steaks were cooked to perfection, staff were friendly and helpful. French Onion soup was very oniony and cheesy, just how you'd want it. The Barrel Cut Rib Eye was spectacular - we couldn't finish it so I took it home, stuck it in the fridge, and I am eating it cold out of the take out box as I write this review - and it is still spectacular. Nothing like a cold leftover steak souvenir from Atlantic City. I'd come back if I'm ever in the area.

The steak is amazing. That is without a doubt. Do avoid the lobster. They claim they make it in a specific style and they have been doing it for the past 100 years and no one else can do it…well no one else does it because you don’t get chewy lobster… just get the steak and have a good time! Win and lose some money! We had a great waiter and it’s a cool joint

We had dinner last night and everything was very good. First we had Caesar salad and the delicious cranberry bread. The dinner was king Dalmon and dessert banana cream pie.

An amazing dinner! We appreciated everything and the food and service were great! Our server was very attentive and their recommendations when we asked were on point. You are dining in the Prohibition era in this restaurant and if your a history buff it only accentuates the dining experience. I felt as if at home with the quaint and comfortable vibe. Everything we ordered from cocktails to desert was electric to our taste buds. I have dined here several times including Thanksgiving and keep coming back!

Not sure if this is a hidden gem, but I have been going to AC for some years now, and I discovered this place watching a YouTube video. I saw a guy order a stuffed lobster and knew I had to take my girlfriend for her bday dinner. Knife and Fork has a small lot in the back with valet parking. Instead of taking an uber from my hotel, I just drove. The place resembles an old castle, with spotlights illuminating the building. We walked in and on the left was greeted by teenage hostess. They were super nice offer us their favorite take of the menu. We got seated up stairs. It was dim lit, and reminded me of an old Italian restaurant. The place seems pretty dated, but has a nice charm, I can not explain it. We get our menus and my lady sees an order than can accommodate both of our food needs. It's called the knife and fork dinner, which came out to $76.00 bucks. It came with the corn and crab chowder, a small Jersey tomato salad, the infamous lobster thermidor and an 8 oz filet. We also ordered parm Brussels sprouts. Wow. Deliciously made might I add. The service was amazing. Tony asked us if we had any room for desert and we sadly said no. But then, I forgot I put in my resy reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. Tony brought out a small cake for my lady. This small gesture made our night. I can not wait to come back.

I visit this restaurant every year for a work conference and it's an incredible experience! The staff is always unbelievably kind and accommodating to our large group. The historic charm of the building is amazing and they always decorate so beautifully for the holidays. The food is also fantastic! I always order the Knife & Fork Dinner, which is an epic feast. It comes with corn chowder, which I always swap out for the French Onion Soup, a Caprese salad and a petit Filet and Lobster Thermidor. If you've never had it, it's a French dish with lobster meat that's cooked in a wine sauce, stuffed back into the lobster shell. It's to die for! We also all shared several desserts and the Lemon Ricotta Doughnuts were the winner! Highly recommend this beautiful, historic restaurant in Atlantic City if you're looking for a place for to dine for a special occasion, holiday or just an epic culinary experience!

Came here during the summer for my birthday and they were very busy. The hotel is nice and cozy and the customer service was really good. The streak was good but for the price I would expect a side to be included. You have to pay for parking or you can try to find street parking which is a little difficult.

Reservation are a must! We were a party of ten and had a small, private room reserved upstairs. The restaraunt was very busy and has an old charm steak house feel with lots of wood inside . There was a Nice size bar when you walk in. The service in the private room was pretty good. The food came out in the appropriate amount of time. Apps- the charcuterie board had a nice selections of cheeses, the crab avocado app was good but needed more crab, and the sliders were a hit. The steaks were not cooked to temperature as ordered but everyone was still happy with their dinners. I had the tuna from the dinner menu- the tuna was cooked perfectly and served over vegetables and rice. Sides to share for the table - Brussels sprouts, mushrooms and scalloped potatoes. Dessert- the cheesecake topped with a bourbon sauce- This was a favorite for everyone.

We love Atlantic City so i'm embarrassed to say we had never been here before, but what a fantastic experience. We arrived 3 minutes before opening and there were already 10 people waiting to get in. We sat at the bar, which was totally filled within 45 mins. Our goal was oysters and drinks, they did not disappoint. They did not have the raw bar menu out but the bartender was able to make it happen for us. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. All the food that we saw come out looked incredible. We will definitely make this our regular stop on future AC visits.

Was eager to try Knife & Fork after hearing from so many that is one of the top spots in AC. I have to say that I am in now in that camp as well. Judging by the limited reservation slots, it seems like many others do as well. Service was EXCELLENT! Food was great with many things you don't see at other places or familiar selections executed extremely well here. From the first app (the duck) to the main course, everything was delicious. And you also can't beat the throwback in history with the decor and architecture. Definitely a must try. I will be a regular.

We hadn't been back to Knife & Fork in a bit. It's still the same, always consistent and popular as ever considering it was a Monday night. They have a good menu wiith some old classics. Appetizers- Beef carpaccio-tasty but light on the beef Crab n corn chowder Caesar salad Entrees Lobster Thermidor Halibut Dessert Banana crème pie It was a nice dining experience. An old favorite for many in AC.

Knife and Fork Inn has been on my radar for years on end. Last year we were shut out because of Restaurant Week. Im that girl who knows what she's most likely getting before I even step a foot in! I love risotto and most places don't make it correctly. I knew this fine dining establishment would! The risotto was cooked perfectly and it was chock full of seafood! Crab, scallops and shrimp. Succulent! Lovely atmosphere, sweet as pie server, and a fabulous dining experience overall! My girlfriend's Caesar was really fresh and tasty. Of course we didn't have room for dessert. I regret not looking at the selections though. There's an upstairs but that is for dinner guests only. Superb superb superb !!!

After years of having this place on my checklist, we finally got a chance to experience this historical restaurant. We arrived early for our reservation and were seated right away. The staff were very friendly and the dining room has a great ambience for date night. Dimly lit and you can see the kitchen while you eat. Now on to the food. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. Two of us ordered the porterhouse. In my opinion it was underseasoned. The sides were pretty good, but nothing really stuck out as amazing. The banana cream pie was epic. That alone is worth the trip. I would definitely like to try some other things on the menu next time. Overall I recommend giving this place a try, everyone's pallet is different. Even though I would've preferred my steak to have a little more flavor, it was still a high-quality cut of meat and easily one of the nicest restaurants in Atlantic City.

Every now and then you have a restaurant that you know well and is truly is an institution but somehow evades you over the years. In this case, this would be Knife & Fork Inn. Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of patronizing this wonderful establishment. Founded in 1912, Atlantic City, NJ, they do the classics well. My buddy and I ordered Steaks, classic sides, and the famous Lobster Thermidor. Boy oh boy, was that Lobster Thermidor good! In addition to the excellent food, the cocktails were impeccably prepared and the service was top notch. Just a word to the wise, this place fills up most nights, so a reservation is recommended. Also, don't forget your wallet, it's not cheap but it was worth the price of admission.

Food was excellent. Service was excellent, everyone we interacted with was polite, professional and courteous. Ambiance, was extraordinary, the history of the restaurant was felt just sitting there.

Started with some shareable apps such as- sliders, avocado crab terrine with chips- cheese board - beef tips, They were all good. For dinner I had the short ribs which were also good. We also shared a cheesecake which was amazing. Service was good as well. Our table was in a private room that was decorated with old pictures of beauty pageants. Overall I gave it a 4 ... all was good but nothing was great.

What a fabulous place! Been coming to AC for many years but had never tried this place. Old school restaurant with old school decor. We sat upstairs in a lovely room . Great menu . Our server Cathy was great , she knew her stuff and offered great suggestions . Food was terrific, ingredients fresh and delicious . Hostess Lauren was lovely to deal with. Def looking forward to coming back.

I was in Atlantic City this week and wanted to try out the Knife & Fork Inn. Despite this restaurant opening more than 100 years ago, and I have passed by it many times before, I had never eaten here before. Knife & Fork has a lot of history. This is a former speakeasy and the upstairs seating area in particular is like walking into a time capsule. In the bathroom, a review of the restaurant in the New York Times from 1964 - when the DNC was held in Atlantic City - is on the wall. Furthermore, a scene from the 1980 movie "Atlantic City" was filmed here. For my appetizer, I ordered the Jersey tomato and Buffalo mozzarella salad, which is a caprese salad. The tomatoes were fresh and juicy, the mozzarella cheese was creamy and the balsamic oil and glaze dressing was a nice touch! For my entree, I got the seafood risotto, which came with scallops, a brill, lobster and crab! Totally fresh, tasty and delicious. I got the old fashioned cheesecake for dessert - very large and filling; tasty, but two people could eat it. All of the food here is fresh and amazing. Our waiter was nice, courteous and professional. The only downside to the entire night was that there was a fly that was flying around the restaurant. That was a bit annoying at times. Altogether, Knife & Fork Inn is an Atlantic City institution with some of the best dishes that I have had anywhere! I highly recommend it and hope to return.

If there's one restaurant you HAVE to go to in Atlantic City, it's this one! They've been around since 1912, so you know there's some history here as well as some iconic food & drinks! This is AC's 2nd oldest restaurant! They have valet parking, a full bar, & specialize in steak & seafood My first time visiting was in April 2022 & I've been dying to go back ever since I started watching the show Boardwalk Empire. I saw them feature the Lobster Thermidore dish which I've never had until now! This dish is rich, creamy & absolutely divine! I would definitely go back again & again for this dish if my wallet allowed for it We also had some tasty cocktails that included the Still Spritzin & the 1912. The Arugula & Mixed Green salads were the perfect starter to a heavy meal. I thought the French Onion soup was good, but it's heavy on the Gruyère & I didn't care for the Buttermilk Fried Quail. The Filet Mignon we ordered was served Oscar style which included lump crab meat in a bearnaise sauce with asparagus & it was outstanding! Service & ambiance were amazing & I'd love to come back for happy hour someday to try out some raw bar options!

This is an Atlantic County Gem! Best cocktails, best seafood try the Lobster Thumadore "it's the best in the city! " Service is professional and experiences and fast. Make sure you tip 25% or more! The ambiance is exciting and awesome bar main level and upstairs decorated with historic paintings on the walls of Atlantic City's elite and the ceiling first floor is Tin and original as well as 2nd floor cement ceilings

(Sadly, Dock Street version isn't even close- fagettaboudit.) Tomato, mozzarella, basil and herbs were outstanding. Crab w mayonnaise mustards - delish. Spinach - Nicky done. Born in '12....1912; This was a Speakeasy in the 20's. American Beauty pageants gave it panache and the ability to avoid arrest and prosecution. Payoffs helped. Luck be a lady tequila was my FABULOUS drink. Great filet. Huge. Char. Taste. Grass fed. Good firmness perfect med rare THE BEST. DID I SAY GREAT. GREAT! Broccolini tough. There's All kinds of thermidors; Never liked one. Ever. This was no exception. Hey, I lived in New England for six years i'm doing lobster for 70! Rubbery lobster was overheated- it was already cooked yo! Don't double cook it ! Dude, I cried. I eat every bit. And cried. Steak made up for it times two. Two people could easily share this. Profiteroles meh. Stale shells. Ice cream good No pastry cream as listed. But.....Inexpensive 10$ yeah! Serves 2. Service was great - easy parking. Cool digs. Bar needs help. Suggest Restaurant's makeover. Or partnering with casinos closed on Monday and Tuesday nites.

Food is delicious! A must go for a celebration! Most of us couldn't afford it regularly.

Service is always spectacular, and the food is amazing. Get the lobster thermidor and cowboy steak. Dip your steak in the lobster thermidor. It's the closest you can get to heaven on earth.

Just two words... LOBSTER THERMIDOR!! The dish they're famous for, and it was pretty wonderful! Gotta try it at least once in your lifetime!

Food was good, service was okay. Delay with food coming out. Portion are healthy. If you need a to go container THEY DONT OFFER UTENSILS. You would think with so many hotels nearby they could give you a fork with your leftovers, but no the suggestion was to go up the street to the market???

Great food. Lobster Thermidor was spectacular. Bread not great. Beautiful spot. Service was just meh. If server would have been more attentive it would be a 5. Plus he was wearing a mask. It's 2024. Auto 1 point deduction.

Service was adequate Lobster thermos or was pathetic 1 lb lobster with lots of mushroom and gravy sauce . Bone in ribeye was tough and flavorless The soups were good .

An absolutely enchanting experience at knife & Fork Inn! We went for our anniversary on a Monday around 5pm. There was a short 10 minute wait. The food was 6 stars - the best oysters I've ever had! Worth every penny. The calamari and lobster bisque were so good I wanted to order another to go. Had a great cocktail with mezcal and Tajin. We will go back here.

I have wanted to eat at this restaurant since I was a kid. The building was one of my grandfathers favorite structures in Atlantic City. It is iconic. I have seen the Food Network shows that show the lobster thermidor. I watched as my mouth watered, thinking that there would be no way it could taste as good as it looked. I stand corrected. We visited on a weekday, early. My friend has been here several times. She wanted me to have the best experience possible. I absolutely did. We began with salads. She, beet and goat cheese and me, tomato and mozzarella. Both salads were an ample portion for one. Fresh and the plates looked beautiful. Then, onto the lobster thermidor. Absolutely delicious. It is rich and luscious. It was perfectly prepared and looked beautiful. The sides were ordered were all just as wonderful. The crème brûlée was creamy and delicious. I have only one thing to add. The staff is as wonderful as the food. They made sure we had everything we needed or wanted. A testament to great leadership. They should be proud. An all around outstanding evening.

Do not miss if you are in AC. Absolutely stellar. As always. Boardwalk Empire vibes. The BEST of AC. Don't wear tacky or casual clothes. Take a cab/Uber or valet. It's a classy place , but not stuck-up. This is a historic and elegant landmark restaurant. Soak in the atmosphere of a by-gone era of class and sophistication.... And AMAZING food. It is front and center in Atlantic City! You can't miss it. If you want the full AC experience (outside of the casinos), come here. Everything on the menu is decadent and delicious. The staff are top-notch professionals. I come annually with my gal pals and we revere this spot for its history, elegance, and superior food and service. If you know, You know. And if you don't, reserve a table upstairs. At dusk. Soak in the views and the vibes. It's prohibition-era time capsule. I hope it stays open for eternity.

Went to Knife and Fork with friends while in ac. Very cool old building on a corner right down the street from the Tropicana casino. Food excellent, service excellent. Really good spot for a nice dinner

I love Jersey Shore history, especially in AC, so I couldn't believe this was my first visit to the second-oldest restaurant in the city. I was able to snag a 7:45 reservation for a party of 2 the day-of. We were sat up on the third floor amidst a wine cellar. Maggie took care of us and was attentive and helpful to us in deciding what we'd like to order. I didn't have a chance to explore more of the building, but know that you may be up a winding staircase if you're seated upstairs (which adds to the experience)! We had a chopped wedge salad as an appetizer which was a big portion to share. Our entrees were classic stick-to-your-ribs meals and prepared perfectly. The brussel sprouts were definitely a standout side. The menu overall is pretty big and there is something for everyone - I look forward to returning to try more of it! We also had the banana cream pie for dessert. All desserts are made in-house! I would recommend this spot if you appreciate its historic nature and are looking to enjoy a fine dining experience.

Oh my. So we visited here on 12/26/2023 at 6:00PM. This could have been a five star experience; however, it fell short in so many areas. First off, there is free valet parking in the lot attached to the restaurant, so that is great news. We were seated promptly just before 6pm; however, I felt like we were put in the bad kids corner. We had a reservation and was expecting to be put in a good section; however, we were placed at the table directly beside the bar, which was absolutely packed. People kept backing up and bumping into the table, which was unpleasant (For the first 45 minutes) Second, our server...oh my. He smelled like one big ashtray. I'm also really sorry to say this; however, he was not server quality. He should have another position. He could only carry one plate or one glass at a time and he shakes a lot, which causes drinks and food to fall to the floor. He also took our order and never checked back in again, until we received the dessert menu. On the other hand, I have to say that the food runner was pleasant and attentive. Now, the food was the saviour of the meal. I started with the French Onion Soup, which was delicious. Our table of two, shared a 12 oz sirloin, which was cooked medium as requested and we also shared the seafood risotto, which was delicious and felt there was a lot of seafood in the dish. We finally shared a side of the augratin potatoes, which were also delicious. If not for the service and the seating arrangement, this could have been a five star visit; however, in our situation -- I did not feel it was fully worth the visit.

Delicious food, I am told it is the second oldest restaurant left in Atlantic City by the waiter. I am gonna start off with the meal this time and if you want to read the rest feel free. Started off with some wine and the harvest moon, continuing my night with amaretto sours so felt it was on a similar course. Blood orange was super noticeable, hint of lime, with Campo Blanco which I believe is a tequila that is cooked with agave and orange. No apps as we decided on trying their Knife and Fork in dinner special, which was almost a full course with corn and crab chowder, jersey tomato & buffalo mozzarella salad, and mains were lobster thermidor and filet mignon. Thermidor is when they cook the meat in like a rich wine sauce and then stuff it back in the shell with other ingredients, which this dish in particular happens to be sauce with mushrooms. Now although that would have been filling, it was time to enjoy a little extra tasting, added an order of the Cowboy Bone in 18 oz steak, sides of goat cheese au gratin potatoes, grilled asparagus and lobster risotto. Lets start off with the bread, offered choice of multigrain and a cranberry walnut, with a small side of a rose decorated butter. The jersey tomato mozzarella salad was an elegantly put together dish, with a balsamic and basil dressing, not a full salad if your looking for something more filling. Chowder certainly had some lump crab meat mixed in the appearance was disappointing but the chowder was good, I would say that I wanted to taste more of the chowder but with every bite I was interrupted with several corn pieces, meaning there was a ton of corn in my chowder.. Entrees and sides came out altogether, the look of each dish was very appetizing, steaks were ordered medium rare, as they should. Starting off with the steaks the bone in cowboy was a hefty fella, seared well and juicy on the inside, cooked medium rare and pink just right. Steak was topped on a few pieces of broccoli rabe with a side of bearnaise sauce. Steak temperature was perfect and I enjoyed every piece with the creamy rich bearnaise. Filet did not have the first best appearance but was also cooked medium rare as instructed and quite juicy biting in. This was paired with the Au Poivre, if you are curious is a creamy sauce that is little more peppery that has been made with cognac. The look of the lobster thermidor was exciting with its red and orangey tones on the shell. Sides that were picked were all super creamy so be prepared, lobster risotto quite rich creamy buttery sauce with chunks of lobster, the goat cheese au gratin potatoes were one of my favorites, lightly browned on top and creamy in each layer. Brussel sprouts were great, I enjoyed the dip and pieces were soft and tender, would have preferred a bit more char on the leaves but still enjoyable. Lastly shared a Vanilla Bean Crème Brulé, dessert was sweet and creamy vanilla flavor with hints of caramelized sugar, the topping was quite lightly caramelized as well and both blue and raspberries seemed pretty fresh. Parking lot was unexpectedly small and outside appearance is like a but like a a colonial style carriage house. It was a Tuesday night, they had decorations that were Christmas ready, I did enjoy the soft warm lights around the windows. Walking in through the 2 doors, it had a warm inviting feeling with the bar right as you walk in, Table for 2 with reservation, seated right away, seamed like a please for conversation, seats two accommodate at least 7 in the larger tables and small settings for date night. Prices in my opinion are fair for a steakhouse, mid level prices, worth it for the food. Waiter was warm and inviting, gave us a history of the inn, table settings were clean, seated by the window. Decorations of old photos from around Atlantic city. I would have totally loved to give 5 stars truly, as the food was amazing, waiters were very attentive at the beginning up until the entrees arrived. Waiter did spill some chowder on the table and almost my date, but not that important, as mistakes happen. After entrees were out, there was no more checking in if we needed anything until close to the end of the entrees, my plates with leftover butter, bread and utensils that we pushed towards the end of the table were also left until quite the end. One refill on the water and my date had been chewing ice for quite awhile. Hoping this was a one off and would love to experience the food again but it was a Tuesday. Defiantly check it out, you won't regret the food, unless you go a bit deep with the creamy dishes and you are lactose. Enjoy and please let us know your experience!

Every second was worth it, the service was super friendly and helpful! The food was amazing it was my first time trying lobster thermador and will definitely not be my last. The crab and corn chowder soup was so good and well presented. The decor and ambiance truly takes you back to prohibition era. The overall vibe was incredible and will definitely be returning in the near future.

Camelot it ain't. Shaped like a castle and completely discordant with the Monopoly Board decrepitude of the surrounding town, Atlantic City's oldest restaurant, the Knife and Fork Inn serves a helluva meal. Service reigns supreme here as a tasty tuna steak, short ribs and surf and turf made their way to our table. A menu that Teddy Roosevelt and a few of his Rough Riders would both recognize and endorse from their grand opening in 1910. If your looking for overpriced medallions of medallions and empty white plates sporting curated microbes of Wagyu beef, there's always Gordon Ramsey doing his casino thing right up the road. If that's your speed, the Knife and Fork may not set your Botox aflutter. In the meantime, tell Engelbert to chill until you finish your coffee. Next time I'm in AC, I'll definitely be storming this castle. Five easy stars.

One of the best place to get happy hour foods and drinks. It's popular with the locals and seating is limited during happy hour so I would get here at least 15 minutes early if you want to get a seat.

When looking for a lunch spot on Yelp, I found this little gem. As I browsed their website I found that they are the oldest restaurant in town. On Fridays they offer a pre-fixe lunch menu. For about $20 you get an appetizer, an entrée and dessert. A great deal! I popped in around 1pm and it was bustling. I cozied up to the bar to find a fast moving, friendly, knowledgeable, and adorably pregnant bartender. She swiftly provided menus and water. I ordered a French 75 because that's what ladies who lunch drink. The bartender didn't miss a beat as she expertly whipped up my cocktail. You wouldn't believe (or maybe you would) how many "bartenders" don't know what a French 75 is. It was perfectly balanced and refreshing; just like I wanted. For my three course I ordered crab & corn chowder, fish & chips, and the mini profiteroles were a fudge brownie and banana cream pie. The portions were excellent, and the food was delicious. I particularly liked the jalapeno cream on the soup, the batter on the fish and the banana cream pie (which I would typically never order). Would absolutely return!

4.5 stars. Came on a weekend night and it was packed. Highly recommend reservations here. They have good service and they're friendly. Good sized menu of both land and sea options. 1. Pom cocktail - Delicious, well shaken, flavorful 2. Langosta - Plenty of lobster meat, creamy with mushroom and onion. Delicious! 3. Lobster bisque - Large portion, probably good for two people. Has some chunks of lobster in it. They did forget our brussel sprout order but besides that, it was a great restaurant and had an excellent time. Highly recommended!

Visiting this legendary historic restaurant for the first time. I have to say, they did not disappoint. Everything from the moment of walking in the front door was an outstanding experience. The service was spot on and the food was incredible. We both had the surf and turf, however I had the lobster thermidor. Both meals were impeccably done. Absolutely the best meal we've experienced since moving here. I highly recommend.

We went to Knife and fork 14 years ago and decided to visit again while in AC. We were lucky to get seats at the bar where we were served by Heather who was just great! She treated us like we go there every week, we had so much fun! Not only that but the food was amazing! Oysters, crab avocado terrine for apps which were great. Then we had lobster thermadore with filet and corn chowder. Just really good food with great service from Heather and her side kick Jenni!! So glad we returned to Knife and Fork. A must go to in AC!!

Went in with a reservation of 6. Upon arriving we were seated fairly quickly. At first we did have some concerns just based on how the area looked when we entered. It was very crowded however when we went to get seated, we were pleasantly surprised with how it looked in the dining room. The staff were friendly, and explained the menu to us thoroughly. I had a 16 Prime Sirloin, medium rare, cooked to perfection. Some sides and appetizers that we all shared included mashed potatoes, asparagus, and calamari. We were impressed with everything we had to eat. The sides were nicely portioned as well, we left deeply satisfied!!

Interior reminds me of medieval times with a combination of prohibition era speakeasy. My server, Mary Lou was excellent and was great host. The food was excellent and on point appetizers and entrées were perfect lacking nothing. Five stars would have been received if the people at the maître d' station were a little more welcoming and friendly.

On a recommendation from a friend, we went to Knife & Fork in July 2024. The food, service, and wine list make this an excellent stop for dinner when in Atlantic City. We will be back as this is now one of our favorites when visiting the Jersey Shore.

This was prob the best meal I've ever had in AC!! EVERYTHING was delicious but the Lobster Thermador took the blue ribbon! Omar was a wonderful server/host and the ambience was outstanding. Well def be back there soon!!

Have been spending many many summers in Ventnor & Margate, so I have heard of Knife & Fork on many occasions and from many people who swear by it! I finally dined there during AC restaurant WEEk! SO glad we did! Such a history in those walls! We had dinner on first floor, but I'm also told there's an even larger dining space upstairs! Their bar serves up fabulous drinks and they are renowned for their steaks and many other favorites! Cannot wait to return! As for our dinner, I loved my filet Mignon! My friends raved about their dinner choices as well! The ambiance was comfortable enough to speak to each other and still be heard! Happy we had the opportunity to stop in and hope to visit again soon.

Dinner at Knife & Fork on Monday evening was excellent! Maddie our server was flawless in her service, engaging & knowledgeable. Halibut, crab cake, oysters & lobster spring rolls are highly recommended. The egg nog cheesecake with whiskey creme sauce was divine. Thank you Maddie & the entire staff for making our evening memorable! Happy Holidays to all!

Delicious! Definitely recommend reservations as we came on a Sunday evening and it was booked! We had appetizers at the bar during their happy hour. Definitely the deal of the day! We ordered four appetizers at half price and were full. Drinks were on point. So glad we tried this local gem!

Chalk it up to an off night in the kitchen but for a restaurant that has been nothing but solid the first few times I've been there this was a disappointing night out. My wife ordered a steak cooked medium and it came out black and blue. Being 8 months pregnant she wasn't going to take a chance on that and the server agreed that steak was rare at best. They brought it back a second time and not much better ... still raw in the middle and that was the end of that. They took it off the bill but never offered to replace the entree either with anything else so we left paying $150 for my wife to eat a garden salad , mashed potatoes and fried string beans. The veal chop I ordered was slightly under cooked too but it was served in the middle of something really special: Prosciutto, White Bean, Broccoli Rabe, Oven-dried Tomato, Parmesan. I mean that could have been served separately as a soup it was so good. The manager and server were very understanding though. Would go back just not for a bit.

Reviews were 50/50 but my husbands dad says this place is a legend and it's been around forever, so we had to go give it a chance! It was delicious, it was clean, it has great service, we had a lovely dinner at Knife & Fork Inn! We walked in around 9pm even though they close at 9:30... there were people coming in after us so we didn't feel too bad, but we were not rushed at all, we putzed around and ordered drinks, and apps, not rushed once and even offered coffee & dessert after and it was definitely after closing. I think the waiters name was Edgar... he was wonderful. Would definitely come back!

We loved our meal and experience at Knife and Fork Inn. We made reservations on a Friday night and dined upstairs. Tim was our server who was extremely welcoming, attentive and made great recommendations. We started with the lobster egg roll which was about the best egg roll I've ever had. I has the Knife and Fork Inn Meal which was a bowl of the crab and corn soup, tomato and mozzarella salad, 8 ounce filet and 1lb lobster Thermidor. Since it was our first time, I got to try a bit of everything. The TLDR-- it was perfectly seasoned, fresh and delicious. The soup had chunks of crab in each bite, the tomatoes were extremely ripe and the steak cut with a knife. The lobster was so rich and decadent. Highly recommend. My partner tried the lobster bisque which was such a treat. It wasn't too creamy or brothy and had chunks of lobster. It's definitely large enough to share. He also had the 12 ounce filet, sautéed spinach and these airy potato crisps. The drinks were also very strong and mixed very well. We will make this a staple each time we come to AC!

There are some restaurants you go to that leave you with such a great feeling and memorable experience that you just can't wait to go back. The Knife & Fork is definitely one of those restaurants. From the great atmosphere, which is old school, classy and set in a beautiful European style building to the first class and friendly service we received from our waiter, Omar, I can see why this place is an Atlantic City institution. After checking out their extensive wine list, my wife and I, who love Malbecs, went with an inexpensive, delicious and memorable one called, Kung Fu Malbec. If you are a fan of Malbec, I definitely recommend it. Since we both love oysters, we paired our wine with some delicious ones from Cape May, some of the freshest and most delicious we've tried. Served with mignonette, cocktail sauce, lemon and a great frozen jalapeño concoction which we loved. For our main courses my wife went with the Seared Tuna, cooked perfectly and served over bok choy, red pepper, shitake, coconut rice, wasabi, just fantastic. I went with what turned out to be one of the most tender, flavorful and juicy Veal Chops I've ever eaten. Served over prosciutto, white bean, broccoli rabe, oven-dried tomato, parmesan, so amazing. I might have a hard time not getting this every time I come. For dessert we both went with some dessert cocktails, the K&F Night Cap, Bailey's, Frangelico, Kahlua and a S'mores Old Fashioned, Noble Oak bourbon, chocolate vodka. Licor 43, Dark Creme de Cocoa, Graham cracker and paired these with their classic Banana Cream Pie, just a great way to wrap this whole experience up. I couldn't recommend this spot any higher and will definitely be one of our go to spots whenever we hit AC.
