Really average. 3 Stars on Food - Average. Ordered the Sushi and Sashimi combo, Tonkotsu Ramen, and Red Curry. Sushi was flavorful. Sashimi was flat. Ramen was incredibly flat and unflavorful with no vegetable content. Red curry was flavorful and filling. Also ordered spicy edamame, flavor profile was ok. Most food seemed frozen. 2 Stars on Service - Below average service. No one came to serve us for about 15 minutes. Forgot about our order. Food times were slow. 4 Stars on Atmosphere - Beautiful interior space and decoration. Music is nice, and very open airy space. Good noise levels to have conversations in. TLDR - Food is average, service is lacking, atmosphere is good. Overall, not worth the bill or time.

I first came across Koi sushi in January of 2020 (and am shocked I did not leave a review already) while in town for business. I went back several times in January through February, and have returned in the later years whenever I visited the area. The sushi has always been great and the service is even better. John and Eugene were the folks I interacted with and even years after my first visit, John was just as welcoming as the first times. Highly recommend trying Koi Sushi Lounge!

in two years of searching for delicious Tom Yum soup, this is the first place that completely met my expectations!!! a great combination of spiciness and sourness in the broth, as well as perfectly cooked seafood, this is definitely the best soup in Miami out of at least 100 establishments We were pleased with all 5 dishes that we tried!!! I would like to separately note the excellent work of the staff, who take away empty plates incredibly quickly and are very attentive to the guests, despite the fact that there are quite a lot of people in the hall! the speed of serving the dishes was also at the highest level, I repeat, given that the hall was almost fully seated, the warmest compliments to the team of chefs! you definitely found yourself at least 2 regular customers, and thanks to your establishment for a great evening 🔥

We waited close to 15 minutes for our server to take our order, it took him forever to check back. Food was average, crab tempura was tasteless, we tasted nothing, but cream cheese. The other roll was actually good. They took their time to prepare our food, but that’s ok. When we got our check, our server saw me putting no tip and then loudly exclaimed that tip is not included. They have no shame! I was extorted tip for service that didn’t warrant it. I’m not going back there for sure.

Koi was excellent! Best iced tea I've ever tasted and the Volcano fried rice was fun and well done. Delicious. Spider-Man roll was fresh and flavorful. If you're ever near Fort Lauderdale or staying the night, def a must visit. Seeing all the kitchen entrees come out made me want to order more.

After calling 5 places ans stopping in at 2 i finally found gluten free options!!! They gave me lots of choices over the phone and even more when we arrived. We sat outside listening to thr waterfall. The waitress sweet and kind. Not rolling her eyes when i asked about GF. It was a busy Saturday night. Our food came quickly. Hubby had mongolian beef with just thr right amount of spice. My chicken lo mein was very nice

Still one of my go-to spots. Koi continues to run the best deals around with happy hour daily until 6pm with $11 signature rolls. The Sex on the Moon and Spice Girl rolls are longtime faves. When I dine in, it's always sushi. But for delivery, I usually pivot to Thai, and lately I've been hooked on the Mongolian beef (extra veggies, spicy hot, trust me). Everything I said in my last review still stands. Most places can pull off sushi or Thai, but Koi consistently nails both.

Another great spot if staying by the port hotels in Fort Lauderdale. I had 2 rolls -- super crunch and spicy Mexican. Both rolls were very good. Wife had chicken teriyaki, she enjoyed it. Staff was great.

Nice and relaxing, excellently executed service, and the freshest of foods around. Love watching the chefs expertly prepare dishes with the concentration of a surgeon performing a life saving procedure, never once doubting their endeavors will be a blatant success. The updated menu is the exclamation point to the already beautiful selection.

I went for HH and sat in the dining room. Our server was excellent. The food came out quickly. Everything was fresh. It was great value for the rolls and gyoza. The jalapeño salmon was a little pricey for the portion compared to the other dishes. The spicy sauce that came with the gyoza was really good. The front bar was full when we walked in at 5pm on a Thursday. Easy parking in the attached lot.

Make reservation especially if you're planning to go on Friday or Saturday evening. This is our favorite place to eat when we're in Ft. Lauderdale prior to hopping on a cruise. We usually stay close by the night before and this place has never disappoint. It can turn into a night scene vibe with the loud music, but totally harmless. If the weather is nice, I like sitting outside. We've always enjoyed their happy hour if we get there in time. But our favorite item to share is the Sushi Boat and depending on how hungry we are we will order the biggest one for just for us two. Their lychee martini is delicious too. Overall, this place is consistent in food and service that we enjoy coming here when we're in town.

This is establishment is in a shopping center with inside and outside seating. The aesthetics are nice. I came here for a friend's birthday dinner. We were a group of 10. We ordered many appetizers to start off. Edamame, spring rolls, potstickers, etc. the lychee martinis were very delicious as well as the espresso martinis and dirty martinis. I ordered a spicy Mongolian beef with brown rice and sautéed vegetables. My hubby got the hibachi which consisted of miso soup, salad with ginger dressing as starters. The main dish was steak, salmon, fried rice and sautéed vegetable. Both of our plates were very good and plentiful. Others at my table ordered the duck bao bun and I was told that it was delicious. The sushi was fresh and well prepared. And for dessert we had Thai donuts and dipped them in condensed milk with chocolate. Yummers! The service was overall good considering that we were a table of 10 and we were being a little loud but well behaved. I would definitely go again. There's a duck ramen that I want to try.

The restaurant is located in the busy Harbor Shopping Mall just off the south side of SE 17 street in Fort Lauderdale. Driving up to the restaurant, I recognized the location as one I'd been to many years before when it was a different restaurant. The parking lot was pretty full even just before lunch time. I came for a belated birthday lunch. The guy at the door wasn't the friendliest, but our server more than made up for it with a very pleasant manner and great service. We sat in one of the side booths. They have lots of tables in the middle of the main dining room. They also have a patio area right outside the front of the restaurant that is covered and protected. It was a warm day, so we chose to sit inside. My friend had been here before and it had sounded interesting. She was willing to come here with me so I could try it. She got a dish she'd had before and enjoyed -- a crispy orange chicken. The dish was huge with lots of dried orange peels, and coated chicken, along with some broccoli. I tried some of the meat and it was sweet and quite good. I started with a kani salad. This is thinly sliced cucumber in a sauce with masago and shredded krab meat. It was quite refreshing. After that I had a chicken satay appetizer. There were several skewers of white meat marinated chicken served with a peanut dipping sauce. For dessert, we shared their fried bananas. It came with vanilla ice cream and we added a scoop of green tea ice cream as well. The bananas were lightly battered and drizzled with honey. It was a lovely ending to a meal with great conversation and good food. I'd definitely come back here again to try more of their menu.

Me and seafood go together real bad ! It was Christmas Day when we went and I was happy to know they were open. Who really wants to cook after cooking for thanksgiving said no one ! We choose to sit outside .They have a cute water fountain to set the mood with a tiki hut design.Koi is dog friendly .So If you have a pup it's a great place to bring your furbie. Down to the food the crispy tangy wings were cooked to perfection and were nice and crispy . Mongolian beef was very flavorful,and had a little spice to it . The star of the show had to be the whole fried fish that had a side of sweet sauce,and I opted for brown rice . The fish was cooked perfectly .I got my sauce on side because it saves the crispiness of the fish . We got a sangria and Thai ice tea to drink .I would definitely recommend to come here.

Absolutely Loved Koi!!!! The food was phenomenal and the service was great!!! I don't eat rice so had a tuna wrapped sushi. Wow!!!!!!! Amazing!!! We are so happy to have been invited to this restaurant. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Don't waste your time could've got better sushi at Publix. It was so terrible. I didn't even complain. I paid my check and left.

Fort Lauderdale, FL - What a great gem! Their sushi was fresh and fatty, and every dish we ordered was amazing! We were looking for a place to have lunch and this was next to the indoor playground where we took our son, with the good rating and reviews online, the choice was obvious.. I loved how they had the belly nigiri set topped with caviar and foie gras for only $20! And yes, we got 2 orders of those! Salmon belly, tuna belly, foie gras, caviar, ikura, all on one plate! The quality was good - so much fattiness and umami in every bite. We also tried their rolls and ramen. Both were equally delectable. We got hot tea with the Yelp check-in and the server brought a whole pot of tea and 2 cups! Wonderful and prompt service. We were shocked why this place wasn't busier during lunchtime. Maybe this place gets busy during the weekends? We would hope to visit this place again if we were ever in Fort Lauderdale again!

Went for a quick lunch with friends and was really pleased with the overall food and place . The decor and ambiance was nice and relaxing . Loved the inside seating and outside seating . This place can get pretty busy but the staff keeps an eye on you and are pretty on point with this . Eats : Spring rolls Gyoza dumplings Drink : Pineapple margarita Strawberry margarita Sake They offer an all day happy hour and plenty of other great deals and meals . I'll be sure to be back

One of the best happy hours to go to in Fort Lauderdale. The happy hour is throughout the restaurant and everyday including weekends which is a plus. There is outdoor seating but the beauty of the restaurant is inside. The service is fast and friendly. The sushi rolls are perfect. The lychee martini is a must and with the happy hour price you will leave dancing. The crispy bok choy is amazing. Must try and the dessert is the finishing masterpiece. Always a good time when I visit

I had a 3 hour break in between jobs so Max and I decided to come here for happy hour. The Crispy Beef can be made spicy, but I can't handle spicy. It's a very good dish. Those that know me know they take my leftovers. There weren't any leftovers this time. The happy hour drinks and appetizers are worth the cost. Looking forward to coming back so I can have more than one martini!

Came here with a party of 10. The atmosphere here is awesome! I'd definitely suggest it for a date night. I liked my roll and my friends roll - the Triple Sexy (raw) and the Super Crunch (cooked). The other rolls looked good too! We also ordered the pad see ew (which is my favorite Thai dish), but it tasted like it was flavored by the char of the flat top. I wouldn't order it again. This dish brought my rating down to 4 stars. Other than that, the service was good but slow. I have a feeling it was because we had such a big party. We got there at 7:30 and didn't end up paying until around 10pm. Still, I liked it here. I would come back.

Okay it's giving this will be my go to spot for 2025! Circled back and got all the same yummy apps as before. Everything came out hot and fresh with quick service. Tried the JB roll this time which paired perfectly with the eel sauce. We also got sex on the moon roll which wasn't my favorite but my partner enjoyed it.

Phenomenal solo sushi date! Gyoza & miso soup were solid starters! 4.5/5 Belly nigiri was so good! Ordered 2 of them. 5/5 Spiderman roll had a bit too much rice for my liking 3/5 Kumamoto oysters were good but not great. Seemed fresh though! 3.5/5 Eels & avocado roll was okay, alot of rice. The Uni sushi piece was so amazing and fresh! Service was prompt even though I was outside on my own. Lovely ambiance and space!

Worth-it Happy Hour Menu every day of the week, specializing in sushi. My brother and I were staying at a nearby hotel, so it was an easy walk across the street to the large strip mall (anchored by Pubix and TJ Maxx) to Koi - Sushi lounge for an early dinner on a Sunday night. They have an OK covered, outdoor dining area in the front of the restaurant (taking up some parking spots...wonder if they did this for Covid and decided to keep it). The inside is large, with a big bar in the middle, with booths to the side and regular tables filling out the rest of the floor space. It wasn't too busy when we went in around 4:30pm, and were seated immediately (no reservation). There were 3 different pieces on the menu: special menu which they seem to change, the normal laminated menu, and the happy hour(HH)/catering menu. They have a really informative website, so knew that HH was in effect (every day of week, from open to 6 pm, 'EXCLUSIVE HOLIDAY'...assuming it means excluding holidays). Everything we ordered was HH prices, and the entire bill (which my brother treated us to) was around $100...and we ordered a ton of food for two. HH - Mojito - Mango ($8) - a bit disappointing for me. Plenty of mint, and a large amount, but very sugary, overwhelming the alcohol and didn't taste any mango at all. HH - Crispy Calamari ($8) - all squid rings, lightly battered and deep fried, served hot with a good chili dip. Really good. HH - Salmon Carpaccio ($9) - five pieces of raw salmon, expertly cut, served on a bed of crushed ice. I was surprised how much I loved this. HH - Mexican Roll ($8) - probably my favorite roll. All the flavors meshed really well, and the jalapeno wasn't so dominating as in the other rolls. HH - Spiderman Roll ($11) - uses tempura deep fried soft shell crab. It was still very crispy, which gives a great texture variety. The crab just provides a foundation for the batter anyway (you can't taste the crab), but the batter is good. It wasn't freshly deep fried, but was still crispy. HH - Spice Girl Roll ($11) - This was good, though I realized I didn't like the thinly slice jalapeno, so just removed that. HH - Red Hot Roll ($12) - most expensive, and also the least liked. It had a weird Kimchi sauce, and neither of us liked it. HH - Sex on the Moon ($11) - shrimp tempura is the main ingredient here. No idea about the name, I'm sure there is something I'm missing. All the maki was expertly made...all were quite fat, with a thin layer of unbroken sushi rice. A lot of times, Happy Hour menu items are not a good deal, since they are of lesser quantity...but I'm confident that this was NOT the case here. These were all rolls deserving of the $15-18 normal prices. We did manage to finish everything, but we were both stuffed at the end. Maybe not the best thing health wise at our age, but delicious food will do that. Our waitress was Skyler and she was very engaging, which really helps in ordering the right things. Also the gentleman who took care of clearing and keeping our drinks filled was very good. The service at Koi was excellent. Delicious food, great value, and great service in a very relaxed environment....can't ask for anything more.

After what we thought was a pleasant start to our meal, the table behind us started to play very loud videos from their phones. When letting the waiter know the situation, he shrugged and suggested we move one table over. We were super confused by this response, considering the music & videos being played were extremely loud and brought down the ambiance level significantly. You could hear 2 phones + the music playing, loudly. The attitude and response by the waiter left us feeling very disappointed. We will not be returning based on this experience. All it would have taken to change this would have been for the waiter to kindly let the table behind us know that the loud videos were disturbing guests, but the inaction & lack of care really showcase the priorities of this restaurant. What a shame!

First time visiting this sushi spot in Ft Lauderdale. I have my usual places to go but I wanted to try somewhere different. We noticed outside sitting but needed some privacy away from customers holding conversation very loudly. We opted in for inside but table looked tiny so we moved to the booth next to the kitchen. A lady brought out waters very quickly as we sat down. It was Tuesday afternoon so only few fable was occupied. Our server did take their time but as soon as we ordered the food, they came out very fast. We got couple rolls to try, like jb roll , tuna roll and some kind of shrimp tempura roll. I could tell that they did not use too much of sweetness in the rice which I enjoyed. I would definitely come back again to try other items on the menu. Only thing I found odd was that a gentleman by the sushi bar kept eyeing us, made us bit uncomfortable.

We enjoyed this place so much! Excellent portion sizes, food was fresh and yummy, our server was the sweetest and I'm now so bummed I forgot her name! She was wonderful to our daughter and even brought us dessert because it was her birthday! Loved the green curry, sushi rolls (our toddler was articulate fond of the cooked JB roll!) and the salmon teriyaki. We enjoyed al much that I ordered delivery from Koi about a week later. Thank you! We'll definitely be back.

Delicious from start to finish. Reservation made for party of 4 and we were immediately greeted and seated upon arrival. Here's what we ordered: Drinks - Espresso martini (bartender did not garnish with the three coffee beans BUT it was still good) - Prickly pear margarita (on the sweet side) - Jalapeño margarita (on the sweet side) - Wine (Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec for the table) Appetizers - Crispy bok choy - Bang bang shrimp - Roasted duck wrap - Fried pork gyozas For entrees, we ordered the crispy duck, chicken pad Thai and a couple of sushi rolls. And the finale included Thai donuts, which ended up being on the house since we were celebrating a birthday. Very nice surprise. A must-try in the Fort Lauderdale area, where parking is easy (and free!), the food is great and the atmosphere is casual.

Omg!!! This place was soooo yummy! My boyfriend & I came for happy hour and the prices are awesome. The food even better. We ordered gyoza, calamari, and tuna biscuits to start off (all delicious) & then I got the rainbow roll & Jb tempura (which was very good). My boyfriend got the spicy tuna and spicy kani (which are also good). Everything on the happy hour menu is $6-$9 -- love this happy hour! Our waitress was just the sweetest too. Had great manners & checked on us frequently. Will definitely be coming back again for this amazing happy hour! There were so many people eating inside and outside, so you just know it's good.

If there was a restaurant where I feel that I might need to revisit again. Date night here the food was a 5.5 out of 10 . I had a sashimi salad that had no dressing. I had to ask for ponzu and Japanese sauce. Once the sauce was mixed in the salad was perfect . Then my date had a poke bowl that needed more sauce. It was fine once you added the sauce . I had the pad see eww it wasn't as flavorful as well. I'm not sure if it was a sauce shortage . However the service was great and that lychee and pear martini was on point . I loved the decor very nice . Maybe it was just an unsaucy night .

Koi is a great restaurant close by to hotels on se 17th street causeway ! Great place to walk to and have dinner before cruising out on ship ! The food is delicious!!!! We had the signature Japanese black rice dish and seafood udon noodle soup which had very good scallops, shrimp and bok Choi. We chose to sit outside which was breezy and quiet for conversation . Waiter was very nice and allowed conversation time before we got the check. No rush. We will definitely be back again when we are in town for cruise ship travel!

Takeout was very disappointing. I've had this place bookmarked and when my husband stopped by for lunch yesterday, I asked him to bring me some sushi back. He got the Sashimi Lunch Special that comes with a salad, rice and spicy tuna roll but we didn't get the spicy tuna roll. He also got a JB Roll to-go, which he didn't like either. The sashimi was probably some of the worst cuts I've ever had. The yellowtail was all grizzle and the salmon was very fishy and pungent I was afraid to eat it. Overall, wouldn't order takeout from here again.

My friend and I enjoyed a Wednesday night happy hour here in January. The inside is nice and updated, with a beautiful wine bottle display, perfect for a date night or girls night. The happy hour is a great deal! Along with drinks, there are hot appetizers, cold appetizers, and sushi all at a discount. I'm not sure if the portions are smaller compared to the regular menu, as our order of bang bang shrimp seemed small. However, everything we ordered tasted delicious. The unfortunate part of our experience was the service. After being seated, we had to wait forever to order our drinks. We then had to wave our server down when we were ready to order food. Not good when we were trying to order before the end of happy hour. At the end, we even had to wave down another server to get our guy to bring us the check. We would've ordered more to eat and drink if our server had checked on us AT ALL. I'll probably be back for the deals, but don't expect to be wowed by attentive customer service, or really any service at all.

The most underrated Asian in Fort Lauderdale !! The food is amazing!!!! The Koi Signature Fried Rice made with black wild rice is next level!! Out of control, tuna lover, valentine, Spice Girl, sex on the moon, little tuna tower, big mama, Spider-Man- I have had all of these- every single one of them were good, so fresh!

Delicious and varied sushi. Very fresh, served at the correct temperature and beautifully. Chicken fried rice is hibachi style, which is the way I prefer it. Less fried, and more just toasty yum goodness. The shishito peppers cooked on the robata charcoal were probably my favorite. I ate the majority of them while my husband and father had to grab one when I wasn't looking. Dad had chicken hibachi. I thought it was a bit dry and sadly, they don't cook it in front of you. So while some of it tasted great, misses a bit of the experience. Friendly service.

I'm not one to leave perfect scores because I believe that we all have room to improve. But when I tell you that the overall experience here from the quality of the food to flavor and presentation, the ambience and the service is on .5 stars.

This is a great place that I would highly recommend for happy hour! They have a pretty large happy hour menu with everything being reasonably priced. It seems like you can't go wrong with any of their happy hour options- everything we ordered was delicious and the fish was all high quality when we stopped in to dine. I would recommend this as a great place to go with a group and share plates in order to try more options. For food, we ordered the Salmon Carpaccio, crispy baby bok choy, spicy tuna roll, spicy Kani roll, and spicy tuna biscuit. The salmon carpaccio was my favorite out of these options and was melt in your mouth status. Everything was great though; this was some of the better sushi I have had recently in south Florida! For drinks we ordered a Sapporo beer and Lychee martini. They also offered free hot sake for a yelp check-in so had to give that a go as well. These were perfect to go along with all the food we ordered. Our server was also awesome- very friendly, welcoming, and attentive which is not always the norm in south Florida. The restaurant was also very clean and decorated well giving it a great ambiance. Will definitely be coming back in the future to re-order the salmon Carpaccio and try other new items! Run..don't walk to this spot. The happy hour was perfection. I ate and drank until I was almost sick. Lol it's just hard to find a place with good service, fast and tasty drinks, AND delicious food with a decent happy hour. I was overwhelmed by the excellence. The pineapple margarita was great. So were the gyozas, spring rolls and bang bang shrimp. I loved the sex on the moon roll kudos to Koi..they made sex even better.

Let me start by saying that this is a 10/10 restaurant. Customer service; Amazing! Everyone was so nice. I didnt have to wait at all in line for my table and i loved that. I wish i remembered our waitress name because she was so amazing. She was an older lady and OMG so so sweet. They are super busy on happy hour at least on a friday they were. Food; Omg the food was everything. The calamari is so good and it was hot. The gyoza was also really good. I had the spiderman roll and it was so good and very tasty. My friend had the mexican roll, it has a little spice too so it was extremely good as well. Drinks: I had two strawberry margaritas and they were very very good too. Not water down at all for a happy hour drink. My friend had a lychee martini and it was very good too. Dessert; We had the donuts and OMG... it was hot and freshh. The chocolate sauce was deliciousss Affordable: I would say their happy hour menu is affordable. Not the cheapest I have seen but still affordable plus i think that day my friend and i went a little crazy on eating so for what we got, it was a fair price. My total was $76 for two. Coming back or nah? It is not in my area but if I am in the area again, I would absolutely come back here.

The ambiance was really nice, really dim lighting and wasn't too busy when we went for the lunch time. The belly nigii was nice but the fish pieces were too big for my liking. Spicy tuna pizza had way too much avocado and it was messy and hard to eat. The scallop carpaccio was nice and had nice flavors but I still believe that it's cut too thick. Over all it still is a nice restaurant with good service.
