The Best Piping Hot Bowls of Ramen in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"KoKoRo Ramen’s fried Brussels sprouts served with chipotle mayo may be even more popular than the restaurant’s namesake dish, but that’s no reason not to try both. After devouring the addictive appetizer, order ramen with chicken or pork broth and thin or thick noodles. Speciality ramens include basil tonkotsu ramen, vegetable ramen, and black garlic ramen topped with fried whole garlic." - Janna Karel

Google
Surprised by the remodel we decided to try the new menu and of course the Tonkotsu, $14, and the Black garlic Tonkotsu too, $15, we found the new and trending Robata grill, roasted skewers, that will be a different review. We were satisfied with the well done Ramen, the noodles on point and the soup was succulent, thick and creamy with the right amount of garlic and meat, a wide variety of drinks, our waitress was very kind and asked us a few times how’s everything, prices versus service and plate sizes are very acceptable. Recommended.

Google
Updated review: all three of us felt SICK after eating here. AND the rude old Asian waitress never gave my friends credit card back. We didn’t realize untill the next day and they were closed until after our flight left. This place is a disgusting dump and should truly be shut down Old review: Terrible service! The women who served us was rude and sassy. Not sure if she was just having a bad day or what but she seriously needs to work on her customer service abilities. If you want to have a terrible experience, go here. Good ramen tho.

Google
The place is OK. I read people complaining about portions size, but it’s a perfectly fine portion for soup. The karaage chicken portion was absolutely outrageous, like 5 veryyyyy small pieces for $8! What a rip off! Just get the ramen, some water and get out 😂 the service was OK (the place was empty).

Google
I’ve tried different ramens here but Tonkotsu Black is always my favorite go to. There’s been times over the years when the quality would go down but at the time of this review I’d say it’s really good. You have the option of thick or thin but I usually get thick. If you’re really hungry. You can also order more noodles. I’d suggest doing a different one than you’ve done previously to. I’d also order the spicy on the side so that I can add it into my spoon as I go. get a different idea. The service can be slow at times since there’s only one server but that’s only when there’s a lot of people. Other than that the place may be empty and you’ll get your food in no time. The decor is pretty nice and simple with some wood decor on the wall that’s pretty cool. The place may feel pretty dark due to the darker colors they use.

Google
Great service, amazing food. The fried Brussels are incredible. We also got black garlic ramen (omg so good) and red ramen. We weren't expecting the red ramen to be cold, but we might have missed it on the menu. It was very good.

Google
Very picky about my ramen. Everything was good but I don't like it when the ramen broth is too salty. I gave a 4 star but it really should be a 3 1/2 for high sodium in the soup. Had an option for thin noodles or thick. We didn't notice a difference on the noodle size. Bathroom was clean in the ladies room. It's a little too dark for me inside the restaurant. Staff was good. Parking in the area is a little hectic.

Google
Small establishment. Clean but dark. Cindy wasn't very pleasant but took our order accurately. We enjoyed the Black Ramen, Chicken Mayo Don, and Niku Ramen.

Google
I got the tonkatau ramen. Was one of those ramens that gets better the longer I ate it. The pork chasu was delicious and melted in my mouth. About the only weakness would be the noodles, didn't do a good job of soaking up the broth so tasted little bland. Service was excellent and speedy. Got the ramen out almost as soon as I ordered it. I definitely will come back to try other ramen and some of the apps.

Yelp
Food was insanely delicious. It all came out very fast and fresh. The flavors and consistencies were amazing. The service was quick and kind. Update to this as well, I left my card on accident and the owner himself tracked me down in the store next door to give my card back to me. AMAZING GUY!!!!

Yelp
Service - not the best, there was definitely a language barrier. For example, I wanted to know if the soba noodles were fresh. But the lady couldn't understand the question or answer it. Food - Midori basil Ramen broth was excellent. The black garlic Ramen also had a delicious broth. Unfortunately the noodles were pretty horrible. It was hard, doughy, and really starchy. The pork was also on the dry side. Egg was perfectly custardy deliciousness. The bowls are tiny, so you have room to order appetizers and other dishes. I'm not sure if I would be in any rush to come back.

Yelp
Ramen is great Here, broth to Nuuder ratio Always consistent... Basil broth is Flavorful, rich in garlic .... beef bowl i Always get on the side... smoky Flavored beef on bed of fluffy sticky rice... Lady is Always in good spirits and Helpful... Got sum kokoro Fries too! Thank you... see you soon...

Yelp
Very nice restaurant! The worker seemed to either be alone of one of the few workers when we went in but the service was still fast and very kind! The meal was affordable and delicious, plenty of serving to have yummy leftover to bring home (they reheat great btw). My only complaint is that the broth seemed more fishy than others for my liking and that the rice we had was a bit hard.

Yelp
Someone called cashier's phone to ask if they serve Chinese food, this very old woman who picked up yelled "We don't!" and hung up. Then irritably fussed "Every week someone calls here asking about Chinese food!". This old woman behaviour is extremely rude and disrespectful. Also, not very smart, since a lot of Asian restaurants in the US serve Asian fusion. Then while picking up my food I sad "Awesome", same old woman starting mocking me yelling "Awesome, awesome, awesome ... " while laughing and ridiculing me. Maybe insulting your customers works in Japan, but this is no way to run a business. Don't even think about going to this restaurant - terrible, awful customer service.

Yelp
Ramen was decent but the service was bare minimum. She wasn't friendly and didn't say much (to the point where it was kind of awkward) The noodles were al dente and I really liked it. Broth was decent, I like all the toppings in the ramen. Not too expensive, which is also a plus. The table was very sticky which bothered me a little bit. Overall it was an okay experience. Curious about their basil ramen. Wanna try it next time!

Yelp
Had the black garlic ramen and order of pork gyoza...both were pretty amazing, I'll gladly return again! Ramen soup flavoring was too notch - smooth and tasty... my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Yelp
Would rate 0 stars if I could. -- Wish I could get my money back. I hate feeling robbed of my money and experience. 1. Host/server didn't greet us and sat us down, didn't say 1 word to us the entire time. 2. No salt, pepper, no sides at the table. 3. Food was cold and barely received broth. 4. Didn't ask if we needed anything. 5. Overpriced for the amount of food given. 6. Everything was sticky 7. Server only came to check tip, stopped us from leaving and asked us to write the tip amount. Never been here before, never coming back. Everybody that dinned in left as soon as possible.

Yelp
You walk in and are greeted by a big foggy window and someone yelling hello! lol I came by myself and was sat right away. The lady then came to take my order. And food came in a timely manner. However, I've read other reviews and the lady working on Saturday isn't very hospitable. She came to check on me once and when she did, she came, didn't even make eye contact and turned around so quick I didn't even have a chance to say excuse me. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and the broth was good and also creamy. I got the thin noodle so if I decide to come back, I'll have to try the thicker noodles. Hopefully they'll have a happier host greeting next time. The inside of the restaurant is clean but it's a little on the darker end.

Yelp
Walked in on a Friday and was immediately seated. This ramen spot is nice and cozy and gives off an intimate vibe. Price is reasonable for the size and serving size of the food was decent enough to get full. Broth was really tasty and I like that they have chicken broth for those who don't like pork broth or who don't eat pork.

Yelp
Came here on a random Monday after a sauna session next door and was surprised how good their tonkotsu ramen was. Very rich and tasty broth and noodles were great too. Would come back

Emy A.

Yelp
As a self-proclaimed ramen enthusiast, I can confidently say this spot has claimed the top spot on my list. After trying ramen from 10-15 different places, this one stands out above the rest. The texture of the noodles is perfection--springy and fresh. The creaminess of their tonkotsu broth hits all the right notes, and the meat is seasoned so well it practically melts in your mouth. Everything about it is a harmonious balance of flavors and textures that leaves me speechless (and craving more). Truly chef's kiss--my ultimate go-to for ramen.

Yelp
Never had basil ramen before and was immediately addicted!! Their vegan ramen is also sooo good! I've tried other places in Vegas and out of Vegas and have always thought ramen was super salty. This is mine and my family's favorite place, everyone here is always very kind.

Yelp
A go to spot for ramen after work. Food is always good. The service is great and they always learn what orders you eat on the regular. Ambiance is cozy.

Zoei B.

Yelp
Me and my friend went to eat there last night and we asked for chicken broth with noodles. The waitress came to our table and gave us a bowl with pork. We told her we asked for chicken broth with no meat, as we can't eat pork because of our religion. She took our bowls and came back, acting like they made us a new dish with chicken broth, but you could clearly see and taste that it was still pork broth. We spoke to the manager, who said, "Trust me, trust me, it's chicken." I told her, "Miss, I come here all the time; that's not chicken broth." After 10 minutes, she came back and asked us why we weren't eating, and we told her again it was pork broth. She finally said, "Ok, ok, I'll make you chicken broth." We wasted $50. I will never, ever go back there again. Just lost a customer

Yelp
Im impressed with the food. I ordered black garlic ramen and it was really, really good! I love the taste of the garlic on the soup and there were also garlic cloves on it. My husband ordered chicken karaage and gyudon. The gyudon was surprisingly good! Service was fast, they were nice and i love the amboance of the place. I would definitely come back here.

Yelp
Kokoro Ramen is a fantastic spot, especially in the winter! Their miso ramen is the standout dish--rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. It's the perfect bowl to warm up with on a chilly day. The depth of flavor and hearty ingredients make it the best option on their menu. Highly recommend Kokoro Ramen for a cozy and satisfying meal!

Yelp
Small establishment. Clean but dark. Cindy wasn't very pleasant but took our order accurately. We enjoyed the Black Garlic Ramen, Chicken Mayo Don, and Niku Ramen.

Yelp
Creamy Vegan Ramen was the lone plant-based option on the menu, for a price of $15.95. It was good, but too oily for my taste. It also didn't fill me up, so I ordered extra noodles, which were served oily, for a price of $4.95. So, my entire ramen came out to $20.90. That price might make sense to me for a full-blown restaurant with a great vibe, rather than a hole-in-the-wall, casual eatery. I also found this place to have insufficient lighting for the all-black decor. Service was attentive.
google avatar

Shipeng Y.

Yelp
The worst service I've ever experienced! I've never seen such poor service. Maybe the staff had a bad day, but they were not only impatient but also very rude! It made the food taste terrible as well. I will not come back. A particularly terrible place!
google avatar

Yelp
I very much enjoyed this restaurant. It's in a busy shopping center, but we were able to find parking right away. We entered and there's a counter area for pickup that's separated from the main dining. It's not a big restaurant, but we were able to get a table right away. The server took our drink orders right away and was also quick to come back for our food orders. We ordered the garlic edamame, then I got the tonkotsu ramen and added some spice, and my bf got the pork katsu. My ramen actually came out before the edamame, but didn't matter because everything was delicious and we ate it anyway. Definite 5 star for staff - food was so good and our server came over to refill our drinks every time they got low. Good price point for ramen and katsu as well. It did start to pick up as we were leaving (we were there around 6:00 on a Friday) and there isn't much seating, but service is quick so I don't think the wait would necessarily be long.
google avatar

Rachel T.

Yelp
We are in this area often and come here frequently, the food is amazing. Today we had the most rude service. My receipt says Cindy was the clerk. She didn't say much.. Walked away because we were trying to choose a appetizer dish after placing our order quickly, She literally got flustered after 5 seconds and walked away saying "I'll be back" like the terminator or something. When she brought our food she just plopped it down. We thanked her each time but she never spoke to us again. She brought our receipt while we were still eating. Then a new group was seated next to us who appeared to be her same race, she was so welcoming and polite. I usually tip 20% or more this was the first time in a long time I did not. This really ruined our experience is this amazing restaurant. We will not be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Located in Summerlin, flavor was all there. Portion was perfect for a single serving can even share, the noodles perfectly cooked and if you ask for spicy not to bad that it overtakes the taste of ramen. The chicken is a nice grilled portion of meat. Noodles cooked to perfection. Ordered the miso with chicken and tonkotosu with pork, both delicious. The sake was dry just like we like it. For a Friday night not many people here, so our order came out pretty quickly. Music was also on point and server was very nice, relaxing and chill ambiance. We were very happy! Stop by if you're in the area!

Yelp
My favorite ramen place here in Vegas. Always a clean restaurant and good service. I paid $13 for the spicy tonkatsu ramen, which is a lot cheaper than other ramen places I've tried and extremely good!!! Broth is super creamy and flavorful. Pork is very tender and grilled for some extra flavor. This is my go to place, can't recommend it enough. Also try their appetizers, great selection.
google avatar

Vivian S.

Yelp
Solid ramen for when your ramen cravings hit! Large portions and the food comes out quickly. The broth has never been super memorable but it is hot and goes down well with tender noodles. Good neighborhood ramen spot.
google avatar

Shannon L.

Yelp
Came in for the black garlic ramen. It was very tasty! Garlic pieces also cooked nice and tender. Egg was fantastic. Broth was very rich and flavorful. Noodles perfectly cooked! It was busy and they only had 2 servers, but they knew how to work together and get everyone taken care of. Very happy and definitely will return!
google avatar

Lyn K.

Yelp
Came here for a late night ramen session with my two girls, we were also happy that they were open late, they don't close until 10 PM on Saturday. The girls got the kids ramen, and it was the perfect size for them. I got a standard tonkatsu Ramen, but I added black garlic oil, because I love garlic. While the kids opted for thin noodles, I opted for the thick noodles, and the texture and mouthfeel were superb! The service was excellent as well, checking in on us frequently and making sure we had everything we needed. Price was right on the money and very worth it. Food came out fast, perfectly cooked, the broth was delicious. Nothing but good things to say about this place! 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend, and will definitely be back for more!
google avatar

Ashley R.

Yelp
An unassuming ramen shop with very friendly and fast service. Their menu is simple but all you need! I was surprised with how flavorful the shrimp tempura ramen was. It was perfect temperature, noodles were Al dente, and they had condiments to add spice to your ramen at your liking. Would definitely get this again!
google avatar

Narbe V.

Yelp
I was craving some ramen so we tried this place out. It was on my radar and I had high hopes. I got the black garlic ramen and it did not scratch my itch. It just didn't have that punch and flavor I was expecting. Some of the items other people ordered smelled really good. I think it is worth giving them a shot. I personally will be trying another place the next time I want ramen
google avatar

Ann K.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick lunch before picking up ice cream next door (Sorry Not Sorry). They have a lunch menu that seemed interesting with a combination of options like a rice dish with ramen, etc + a drink. Since I was dining alone, I decided to just try their ramen first. It was delicious - the noodles were al dente & the broth was flavorful. Portion size was decent. Service was quick & the food came out fast. Would love to try more items on the menu next time when I have company to share a feast with.
google avatar

Caroline L.

Yelp
KoKoRo has so many good classic ramen choices! Make it a cute date night and grab dessert next door at Sorry Not Sorry creamery. This place is located in a super easy plaza with plenty of parking. I love it when restaurants are in open areas and not have to stress about parking. Food: Chicken Karaage - lightly fried chicken Chashu Don Bowl-best we've had in a long time Tonkotsu Ramen-nice thick broth with chashu pieces, egg and mushrooms

Yelp
Last night after I got off work I wanted some good ramen spot but with no long wait. I ended up finding this place and remembered it was on the way home. We went in thinking it might be a bit of a wait but was I wrong. No wait and was sat down right away. The menu is very simple and very easy to read. I ended up getting miso ramen with pork broth and no extra added on. The mister got the tonkatsu ramen and it was so good. As an appetizer, we did try the chicken karaage. I wish they did give a little extra sauce on the side though. I really did like this place and would come back again. It is close to my house and it is next to our favorite ice cream creamry. The only reason why I didn't give it a full 5 stars was only because I didn't order as much food and there was only one person working for the front and she was also the only one to get people's orders. I have to say she was fast and very attentive.

Yelp
I came here late on a Saturday evening around 9pm and got seated immediately. Not gonna lie, the ambiance is a little odd. It's very dark and the walls and booths are all black. There was light music playing, but it was easy to overhear other conversations. However, the ramen was INCREDIBLE. I had ordered Shoyu and was asked if I wanted pork or chicken. I said Pork. When it arrived, it looks much more like tonkatsu than the shoyu on the menu, so I'm not sure which one I truly got, but I didn't even care because it was delicious. The broth was so good, warm, and savory. The cuts of chasu were thinner but were cooked and seasoned really nicely. There was some fat on them but it enriched the flavor so much. Service was quick and the ladies were attentive. I would definitely come here again!
google avatar

Radrick B.

Yelp
Excellent service, Best Chicken Gyoza I ever had, Chicken Karaage is a must try Chicken Mayo Don was also very delicious
google avatar

Yelp
Was having a down day and felt like getting some ramen and decided to stop by this location since it's close to home. Haven't been here before but I've seen it from being in this plaza a few times. Absolutely love the vibe, it's very mellow. I stopped in about 7:45pm so it wasn't overly packed. I'd definitely say it's a great spot for a date or quick lunch. The server spent just the right amount of time and had a great recommendation. I ordered the Miso ramen, she recommended the pork broth so I went with that and the extra spicy option. Personally, the spice was perfect but it is on the hotter side for anyone without a high spice tolerance. I'm a huge green tea drinker and I will say their hot green tea was great. I will definitely be back to try some of the other ramen options available.
google avatar

Ebony T.

Yelp
Came with a group of 4 on a Saturday night right before they closed. Service was great and very fast. We didn't wait at all. The food was soo good. We all had ramen and it was amazing. The chicken Karrake was great and crispy. The veggie goyza was fried perfectly. We will definitely come back here. I'm a local and we brought friends from out of town and they also can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Friendly service, clean dining area and delicious food!! Start with the shishito peppers for sure !! They smell as good as the taste roasted in garlic !! The ramen is so good too!! I like this place ... A LOT! JJ is amazing with us and explained the menu items patiently!

Yelp
Great spot. Easy to get to. Good ambience. Great service. The food was delicious and prepared quickly. The black garlic broth was perfectly seasoned and tasted wonderful. No complaints here!

Yelp
Came here on a saturday afternoon with my family, 2 adults, 3 kids under 12 and a one year old. Place was almost empty. Got our food, not bad but when we got our bill. Serviced 6, my one year old just sat there nothing in front of her, was not served.... And an auto service charge of 18%? Lol this place acting like they're a fancy restaurant.. foh .. anyways aint coming back. We didnt even get asked if we need anything. We even had to get our own drinks from their fridge! Lol This place is a joke
google avatar

Kristin B.

Yelp
The best ramen and garlic edamame that Vegas has to offer. The broth is creamy, the noodles are perfectly cooked and tender and the broth isn't overly salty which makes for the perfect bowl of ramen any time of year.
google avatar

Tanya W.

Yelp
I am pleasantly satisfied! I got my ramen fix and found a new spot I can count on. I ordered my ramen for pick up and it was ready before I could get there. I played it safe and ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen. This ramen was delicious! Savory but not overkill, and perfectly portioned for the price. Will definitely be returning and trying other items. The menu seems to be inviting
google avatar

Latricia R.

Yelp
The restaurant is small and dark but it was cute and clean. They seemed to be short staffed as there was only one guy who was host, waiter and busser. However, the service was good and we didn't have a long wait for him to take our order or bring out the food. The pork Ramen was so good; it was flavorful and the pork was tender. The chicken mayo rice was also good, though it needed some Sriracha sauce. We will definitely be back. Added bonus, they are next door to a great ice cream shop.

Jennifer And Jerome L.

Yelp
Tried this spot out on a Sunday for lunch since it was next to Sorry Not Sorry Ice Cream. The place was clean and the service was good. Overall not a spot we'd be back for any time soon just due to the flavors, regardless of its more unique ramen flavors choices than most places. Preface, some of our favorite ramen places are Ramen Nagi, Marufuku Ramen, and for Vegas, Monta Japanese Noodle House (so far). We had gotten the Midori Basil Ramen and the Black Garlic Ramen. We both agreed as most other reviewers that the broth was lacking depth and deep flavors. The noodles themselves felt a little soft, but the chashu was nicely seared. If you like your ramen more mild, definitely might be your spot as the portions are still good, variety of toppings, and ample parking.
google avatar

Nette B.

Yelp
Looking for some great Ramen spots. They were not busy so perfect, we were seated quickly. Service was good and OK. We ordered the Miso Ramen add Spice, Kitchen Fried Rice, Chicken Karage. The broth was delicious, I personally didn't like the noodles as I'm picky. I like Thick noodles and al dente but it was a bit soggy. The fried rice was the BEST and the karage was ok. Will return if I'm in the area.

Yelp
We went for lunch on Friday with 2 adults and one small child and it was excellent. The interior provides tables for about 20-25 guests and was nice. We started with Gyoza, and Edamame. Both were very good, served fesh and hot. From there we had Red Ramen, Niku Ramen, and Chicken Karragge. All were delicious and the portions were very gratious. The service was outstanding, very quick, pleasant and professional. The sake was very refreshing. Overall: An excellent place to stop for Ramen!

Yelp
Perfect location next to my favorite ice cream spot! The service was really fast and pleasant. Everyone worked as a team and made sure all of our needs were met. I felt like the prices were fair and the bowls already came with a lot of toppings! I have been to a few places lately that nickel and dime you from a $12 up to $17 just to get the same amount of toppings as you get here to feel like a full meal! I have never seen the agedashi tofu served in ramen which was cool! I suggest taking it out right away so it doesn't get soggy. Just my preference and suggestion! The bowl as it was had plenty in it. I have to only give 4 stars because I feel like the broth lacked depth. I can't really explain it any other way than that. My husband had a chicken broth and thought the same. Maybe the others are better. Good luck and thank you for the hospitality :)

Yelp
I love this place. We never have to wait and the food is always yummy. Our go to order is creamy vegan ramen add egg and fried garlic, spicy pork don, fried brussels, garlic edamame, and veggie gyoza. Kokoro never disappoints!

Yelp
We stopped in because I love ramen and my kids wanted ice cream. So y'all go and I'll be over here. They have a large menu but man their ramen was good! Y'all do lose a star from me just because the guy at the counter ignored me for bit and I was hungry. Idk if it was he was alone up front of what but atleast say hiiiii and tell me you need a min. Will I make the trip down for it again?!? Idk it's a long drive and we have good ramen in the northwest. So maybe next time I'm in the area I will check out other items
