Tableside Preparations, Ranked From Most Impressive To Least Necessary - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Even though the gosht dum biryani at this upscale Indian spot has more heat than flavor going on, the stewed goat dish is one of Kricket Club’s best contributions. And when the sealed crock hits the table, a server comes over and saws open the pastry-based lid, revealing the spicy goods (and a hot spring’s amount of steam). The whole charade is like cracking open a treasure chest, only it’s filled with basmati rice instead of monetary loot." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, gabe guarente

The Best Indian and South Asian Restaurants in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Kricket Club is chef Preeti Agarwal’s follow-up to her Fremont Indian restaurant Meesha. It’s a similar concept: tapas-style small plates and entrees served family style. Located in the old Salare space in Ravenna, Kricket Club looks to New Delhi and Mumbai for inspiration for its street food, from the ahi tuna and seabuck thorn sev puri to the potato croquette vada pao. Bigger dinner portions include a goat biryani and a rockfish in coconut sauce. Cocktails are tweaked with South Asian ingredients including a mezcal drink with pomegranate, harissa and rose. The single malts and scotch are a good deal here too, with 2-ounce pours that cost $2-$3 less than what you would pay at bars on Capitol Hill and in Ballard." - Alicia Erickson

These Were the Best Meals Seattle Food Writers Ate This Year | Eater Seattle

"I loved Kricket Club in Ravenna from chef Preeti Agarwal; you can make a whole satisfying meal just from the “bread bar” (I recommend the hara bhara kulcha), and the rockfish ceviche was dynamite — the tiffin boxes are always delightful." - Adam H. Callaghan

Kricket Club - Review - Ravenna/Roosevelt - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Kricket Club is one of the few upscale Indian restaurants in Seattle. With takes on Mumbai street food, steamy goat biryani sliced open tableside, and a dark dining room with palpable night-out potential, all signs point to greatness with a side of roti. But ultimately, this isn't somewhere you should go out of your way for. There are better Indian restaurants in town at a lower price tag, more worthwhile spots for an exciting dinner, and overall tastier meals elsewhere in Ravenna. The entire menu is said to be “family-style,” but we’ve only found that to be reasonable if you’re a family of one or two. In fact, Kricket Club’s portions are so delicate that it makes the concept of sharing difficult for the first time since preschool, and this is especially the case for the appetizers. Vada pao sliders come in pairs, three miniature bao are stuffed with just a few pieces of masala-spiced potatoes, and madras coffee-soaked tuna tartare yields only a couple of spoonfuls of fish. It prompts you to order more food for the table, but that’s when your meal starts to add up quickly—a solitary order of four small tandoori-rubbed chicken wingettes will run you $21. photo credit: Amber Fouts We understand that this is a fine-dining restaurant. Not to mention that Meesha, Kricket Club’s sister spot in Fremont, has similar pricing. But multiple plates seem to prioritize heat over flavor, some bread items are stale, and the cocktails can be unpleasant (like a cumin-heavy mocktail, or a Jameson drink packed with bitter ginger and a lack of sweetness). For a meal that could easily cost $100 per person, there shouldn’t be so many misses. There are actually some hits on this menu, though, but they’re few and far between. We thoroughly enjoy the chicken ruby, a pot of smoky stewed tomatoes that you can spoon on ghee-glistened basmati rice. When the homemade buns on the vada pao are fresh, they hold in beetroot patty sliders we’d snack on once a week. And the curried soup shooter you receive at the beginning of the meal is soothing, coconutty, and by far the best thing here. Even if you’re looking for the hyper-specific scenario where you need a date night spot in Ravenna and spending money is the least of your concerns, we’d still send you to Frank’s or Ebb & Co. At least at those two places, a single drumette won’t set you back a fiver. Food Rundown Soup Before the meal begins, you’re handed a complimentary amuse bouche involving a small shooter of thick soup. We’ve slurped a pumpkin-based one in the autumn and split pea in the spring, and they’re consistently fantastic. If Kricket Club offered these silky, coconutty soups in a big bowl, we’d happily pay for them. We just don’t love the goat cheese-topped pani puri that comes on the side since it’s extremely soggy. Vada Pao When both the beetroot patty and slider bun are fresh, the vada pao with a green chutney and ghati masala is a good way to kick things off. Masala Bao Stuffing split bao with potatoes and a sticky tamarind sauce is a very good idea, and we commend the tang, spice, and softness of it all. We just wish that there was more stuffed inside the bread, and that the “kohlrabi slaw” wasn’t just a pile of raw vegetable strips. Chicken Angara This is a platter of delicious chicken wings that get coated in a sweet-spicy tandoori rub, topped with pickled red onion, and sit in a modest swipe of sriracha mayo. They’re good, but you only get four of them for $21. If you’re seated in a group of seven, are you going to spend $42 on two orders so that every person can sample a wing and then fight over the last one? The answer is no. Chura Tartare The small, $20 portion of fish is diced very finely, then gets tossed in a creamy madras coffee froth with crisp taro slices. There isn’t enough acidity to keep us wanting more. Gosht Dum Biryani There’s more heat than flavor in this miniature Dutch oven of saffron basmati rice and spicy stewed goat topped with a shell of wheat dough. However, the meat has terrific tenderness, and we’re fans of the rice on the bottom soaked in braising liquid. Use the accompanying raita to cool it all down. photo credit: Amber Fouts Chicken Ruby The chicken ruby is our favorite entree here. There’s this buttery, smoky tomato sauce that keeps each chunk of chicken juicy while simultaneously jazzing up each spoonful of ghee rice on your plate. If you can only choose one large plate, this is it. Kerala Macchi This $26 filet of salmon is fine but forgettable. The fish comes rubbed with a spice mixture and sits next to a coconut curry sauce and exactly two brussels sprouts. Missi Roti Note that everything from Kricket Club’s “Bread Bar” is priced per piece, and each piece is really small. While it’s tasty swiped in sauce from the chicken ruby, this roti made from chickpea flour is pretty tough. Cheese Kulcha We’re not impressed with this fermented bread, filled with room-temperature yellow cheddar that perhaps once had a melty heyday, but is too congealed and oily by the time it hits the table. The bright tomato chutney that comes with it is good, but doesn't do much to help. photo credit: Amber Fouts" - Aimee Rizzo

This restaurant provides you with some super cozy atmosphere and really good music. The restaurant isn’t too loud with music which made my experience so pleasant. Now let’s talk about the food, the food that we tried was overall great here. We really loved the black dairy daal, corn tikki and Warqi paratha. We also liked Pindi Chana. Note that Pindi chana is not very spicy here but I believe you can ask to level up the spice. Team is very helpful in suggesting what dishes are good in the menu and what’s new which helps. Overall, my dinner date with my love was beautiful with some really good memories and chats. Last one, don’t forget to try their pistachio kulfi 💕

Went in for seattle restaurant week. What we liked: Dahi bhalla, super soft and crunch flakes. Butter Chicken/ Murgh Makhanwala( probably the best of Seattle). The star of the show was the falooda. We also tried the tandoori chicken roll which was just average. I would skip this next time. The service and staff were amazing.

We recently visited Kricket Club in Seattle for the first time. It’s a fine dining spot with a modern, stylish ambiance that sets the tone for a pleasant evening. We started with the biryani, which looked appealing and had well-cooked meat, but unfortunately, it fell short on flavor—it tasted a bit too basic for our liking. On the other hand, the baingan bharta, was a nice surprise. The malai kofta that we ordered stood out the most—it had a rich, smoky flavor and came in a unique green curry sauce that was both unexpected and delicious. The dal tadka wasn't that great and tasted simple home cooked dal. One of the highlights of the meal was the presentation. Every dish was beautifully plated, and the elegant cutlery added to the overall experience, making the meal feel more refined and special. We ended with the falooda, and it was easily the star of the evening. The presentation, taste, and texture were spot on—absolutely delightful. Even though we were full, we couldn’t resist finishing it. Based on that, I’d bet their other desserts are worth trying too. Overall, Kricket Club is a good choice, especially for a younger crowd looking for a trendy dining experience with some standout dishes and great vibes.

Google
Kricket Club is one of the most exciting dining spots in Seattle. The menu takes classic Indian flavors and reimagines them in a modern, inventive way — every dish feels creative and layered. Some of the food was a little spicy for me, but the originality and presentation more than made up for it. The cocktails are clever and well-balanced, and the space itself has a warm, stylish energy that makes the evening feel special. Service was attentive and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. It’s the kind of place you want to return to, both for the atmosphere and to keep exploring the menu — bold, flavorful, and memorable.

Google
Tl;dr - go here. Normally, this might have been a four stars. For me, that’s high. I liked everything but I save five stars for mind blowing. Here are some takeaways. Good food. Reasonably priced. Nice variety. Lovely cocktail menu. The place is quaint with its decorations though some are more interesting than others. Here’s what made this place really stand out. The staff is so kind and generous and welcoming. The owner (I think??) was incredible. They had a “feast plate” that nearly everyone got. 39$ for an exceptional spread. ALLLLLL VEGETARIAN!!! Bless you!! Yes there are still meat options in the menu but this was fantastic. And. Special props. Omg. The pumpkin soup was to die for. I would die in it. Happily. Let me drowned in its golden bliss. I like this place a lot.

Google
What an absolutely exquisite restaurant with wonderful Indian fusion food! Everything was plated so beautifully, and our server did a fantastic job in describing everything as he brought it out. The ambience was great, the restaurant is well located. A definite, definite "must try"!

Google
Why /How we ended missing this place, the place which says koshimbir , bombay keema pao, has the Akurni and falooda. Ok enough for excited tone, I am breaking rule of doing review afte 2/3 visits as this place does not need lot of support - but it does. The quality , finish and size of poha was the forbearer of good stuff lying ahead. The sabudana wada did not disappoint in taste alof with dahi/curds and pudina chutney. The folks on table enjoyed kathi roll(although bengalis on table said they miss park street roll more), the chicken fritter/pakora was ordered multiple times, the Bombay keema pao was big hit with extra paos being ordered. My puri/chole was fulfilling and complete. The size of puri was generous and chole had ginger lines (whatever you want to call ) along with a zingy taste. we missed vada pao - but if all these dishes were so good that will be better. Prices are on higher side but quality makes for it. The service is understated and efficient. (almost like bangalore darshini - v quick). Everybody loved falooda which had boba/kulfi and tinge of pink along with sevaiyan. A different presentation like high end restaurant - but v v good. Masala tea was the only one where I felt they could have priced less as that is close to expensive coffees (maybe that is why they are marking it up) We will return and share with others and hope they become brave to come on eastside. Definitely finally a good place(we have not tried meesha yet). Our service was handled by Venkatesh(Venky) - v helpful in choosing dishes.

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Kricket Club: Where Butter Chicken Dreams Come True (And Maybe a Food Coma) Let me start by saying—I came for the cricket-themed decor (because, honestly, how often do you eat in a restaurant that celebrates insects?), but I stayed for the food that made me question all my life choices up until this point. The butter chicken at Kricket Club isn’t just good—it’s the kind of dish that makes you want to write a love letter to the chef (or at least sneak an extra order to-go). The sauce is so rich and velvety, I briefly considered bathing in it. Paired with garlic naan so fluffy it could double as a pillow? Chef’s kiss. And the samosas? Crispy on the outside, perfectly spiced on the inside—basically the edible equivalent of a warm hug. My only complaint? They disappear from the plate ‘way’ too fast. (Pro tip: Order two. Trust me.) The vibe is fun, the cocktails are inventive (try the "Googly"—it’s a *hole* in one… cricket pun intended), and the service is so friendly, you’ll leave feeling like you made a new best friend. Downsides? None… unless you count the fact that I now have to explain to my gym why I’ve been skipping leg day (it’s the butter chicken’s fault). Final verdict: 10/10, would trade my firstborn for another bite. Just kidding… maybe. 🏏🔥

Yelp
Food was delish but the portion size was a bit smaller than expected! Otherwise I'd have given 5 stars We ordered Masala bao, Kathal kofta, a warqi paratha and a herbed kulcha. We were offered complementary chef's special pumpkin soup shots too :) overall everything was great including the service and ambiance!

Yelp
I recently had brunch at Kricket Club and it was an incredible experience! The service was top-notch from start to finish, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel right at home. The presentation of the food was impressive, each dish beautifully arranged and enticing. But the real highlight was the taste - it was simply outstanding. It had been a long time since I had such good Indian food for brunch, and every bite transported me back home. The ambiance of the restaurant is also worth mentioning. It has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that complements the dining experience perfectly.
google avatar

Kumar V.

Yelp
Let me start by saying the food is really good. They have their own twist to some of the recipes but the flavours are very unique and very fresh. We were greeted with a complementary pumpkin drink. The presentation of the food was exquisite. They kept it balanced and didn't overdo it. Some of the food presentations remind me of humble Indian roots while some have a modern touch to it. For small plate we tried Jackfruit Bao, Bengal Kathi rolls and Tiger prawns (Jhinga). The Bengal Kathi roll was good beyond expectations and the prawns were also nice. For large plates we went with Fish curry, Butter chicken, chana and kofta. It seems like they rotate their menu. The fish curry was delicious and I loved the chicken. I think they called it Murg Makhanwala or something but it's basically butter chicken. The service was great and so was the ambience. Keep in mind their menu changes and it won't be a constant based on when you are going. Other thing you want to consider is that the place is pricey and one thing our group did to avoid an over expensive bill was to not order any drink.

Yelp
For the brunch service, we were recommended the mom Thali (kadhi pakora, pindi chole, ghee rice, salad and kulcha with a choice of chicken for $29). It was suggested they would substitute the chicken even though paneer was struck of but magically there was no substitute for us vegetarians. We were fooled into thinking there was an additional component but there was none. The pakodas in the kadhi were double fried as they were burnt/dark and unappetizing. The pindi chole needed to be cooked as the chana was hard. The masalas in the pindi chole was off. Wayyyy too salty and missing the tomato tang. Ghee rice also lacked flavor. Kulcha was average at best. We also tried the parsi akuri, which was a joke for the price we paid. It was a lackluster egg bhurji on two tiny flatbread. Where was the flavor in the dish?? The gulab jamun churro and double ka meetha were the only pleasant dishes. Service was good. The wait staff (Omkar and a young lady) were attentive and kept checking in. I didn't understand one thing though - the 20% service fee. On their website also it says "Kricket Club retains 100% of this charge. 75% of this service charge is distributed to the staff in form of commission". Technically, when you give a tip, either servers keep all of the tip or it's collected en masse and shared between line chefs and wait staff. Then why is only 75% given to the staff and why not all? For the price we paid, it could be much better.

Yelp
We enjoyed their special offer going on in May - Dinner for 2 for $55. We ordered saag paneer, jackfruit kofta, baingan bhartha and dal makhani. Everything tasted really good. Their kulcha was not as soft but still good. I wish they had some regular breads like tandoori roti. Overall, I highly recommend - flavors were on point!!

Candace S.

Yelp
Parts of the food were good, the chicken and bread. I ordered the Dahi bhalla, strange. Lentils with yogurt dish that we didn't care for. The interior of the Kricket Club is attractive, our waiter was pleasant. We are very well travelled people, and in all our travels we have never seen a 20% tip automatically added on to a two top table. Then, there is a place on the bill for an "additional" tip. Wow. Maybe we can pay the mortgage too. We would not return or recommend the Kricket Klub, but we wish them well.

Yelp
such an amazing and modern indian restaurant! the staff, ambiance, and dishes are all so tremendous. Everything truly was so delicious with my favorite being the saag tiffin and masala bao's!

Yelp
Food, service, ambience, all amazing, and we had the best server, Deepak! Highly recommend the Kricket Club!

Yelp
The first steps in the door my wife and I looked at each other and smiled at how good it smelled. Being our first time here we were pleasantly surprised at the pumpkin soup amuse-bouche. We sampled different cocktails and agreed the Mr Figgin was our favorite. Everything we ordered (burrata, tiger prawns, tandoori roll, goat biryani) was fantastic and our server Deepak was great! We can't wait to come back again!
google avatar

Yelp
Unreal! I wish I wasn't posting because I loved getting a day of reservation. Everything was delicious, service was phenomenal, parking was easy. Planning to make this a regular date night treat! Take out would be delicious but the in person dining experience was unique and special, so don't miss it!
google avatar

Yelp
Limited options for vegetarians. Ambience is good. If not anything else would definitely go back for the Bun Maska and Irani chai! Parking is a struggle.

Yelp
Went there on a Thursday evening at around 8 with 3 more friends. The place looked good, there were quite a lot of people for a Thursday night. Then Another couple skipped the queue and the server entertained them first which was disappointing. We were seated in about 5-10 mins. We were served some complimentary appetizers - pumpkin shorba and goat cheese naan and this was the best part of the meal! Everything went downhill from there. We ordered some drinks which were served towards the end of our meal. The server kept apologizing for the delay but at this price point I except things to be way better! Now let's talk about the quality of food. - gobhi 65 : 1/5 not good, very hard to eat. Of the 6 pieces we got, we left 2 - maska bun : 3/5 - misal pav : 2/5 the savories on the misal were all soggy and it didn't taste like an authentic misal as well - bao : 3/5 Drinks: - lilikoi jaljeera: 2/5 too strong of a taste, it felt like a concentrate - ananas shikanji : 2/5 - Irani chai : 2/5 too sweet Mains : - goat biryani : 3/5 a bit too salty - tiffin : 2/5 - paneer : 3/5 Most of the naan, poori were not great. Very doughy and chewy. We skipped the dessert after this. Overall not at all worth the $270 we spent here!

Yelp
The service is so bad. The food id average for the price you pay. The dinks are good Not worth the hype. I am sir ether are much better i dian restaurants around which offer better tasting i dian food at a reasonable price Please don't waste your time and most importantly you money

Yelp
LOOOOVED! First, you'd never guess it but some of the best cocktails I've had - super unique and tasty. Definitely try the Calcutta express cocktail... just trust me. The food is all so flavorful and love the presentation in the tiffin box. Ambiance and service top notch. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
I love everything about this place! The food, the service, the warmth and ambience: it is all truly lovely. They have a great dinner special, and an even better weekend brunch! Deepak takes great care of us when we come in, and always helps us find the perfect menu items.

Yelp
We had a lovely time at Kricket Club tonight. The Dinner for 2 is a great option for a weeknight date night. We were able to try the two main dishes and two sides for $55. Highly recommend the gosht dum biryani and the baingan bharta! And shoutout to Deepak for being a very kind and attentive server throughout our meal! My favorite item was the nankhatai tart, which was very unique. It was served warm with a filling of halva, and a side of paan ice cream. Very unique experience!

Yelp
This was our second time visiting Kricket club and we were here for our anniversary dinner. I liked the food a lot better especially this time around. Service was good it wasn't incredibly crowded on a Friday night and if you look around parking can be found with lil effort which was nice. The food was good and a unique fushion of Indian food with other cuisine. Specifically I loved the masala bao. We also tried drinks Calcutta express and the mango ginger beer float both of which were good. Also very interesting desserts and since they change up their menu every few months so I will definitely return to try. A few cons though: I do feel though that the portion sizes are a little smaller for some of the appetizers considering the price and they don't have many vegetarian mains in current menu. Finally this my gripe with most restaurants but the small tiny table for two isn't really that comfortable but if you are a fine dining restaurant I guess I expected better.
google avatar

Pree T.

Yelp
Love the vibe of this restaurant. One of the few Indian restaurants in the area with excellent food, cozy ambiance, and quality customer service. A few of my fav dishes are the curry leave chicken starter, the butter chicken curry, and the gulab jamun. Certainly worth a visit or more.
google avatar

Prakriti K.

Yelp
Hands down, one of our most fav dinner spots in the city! Love everything about the place. Great food, noteworthy ambience, kind staff! Street parking can get difficult. I'd recommend accounting for it in terms of time when you make a reservation. We were a group of 6 + 1 toddler and were seated immediately upon arrival. Complimentary gazpacho was really nice. I'd probably order it if it were in the menu! Drinks: We got the Paanwala and the neighbor's wife. Pretty strong cocktails. But I do want to mention that their non-alcoholic drinks are amazing too. Aam float + Kesari Shikanji are great! Dinner: Their appetizers and small plates are everything. We got their Makai Bhel, Maska Bun with Chai and Gobhi 65. Can't choose one over the other. But Maska bun tastes like home, especially with the Irani chai. We're definitely going back just for that+desserts next time. We also got their Bao buns from the small plates. I haven't tasted a better bao bun anywhere. Highly recommend that! The tiffin box saag paneer is a delightful experience with different tiers of the box carrying different things. It's a shareable portion and is created for that purpose which is fabulous. The Kathal Kofta is made from jackfruit and is unique and well balanced in terms of spices. That's it! Too full for desserts! Definitely going back :D

Yelp
Love supporting women entrepreneurs so when I heard about this restaurant, I'd to go check it out. Clearly the owner has put her heart and soul into creating a unique fine dining experience. Full marks for bring creative, thinking out of the box and not compromising on the flavors. Let's start with the pros: Service was amazing. Had an amuse bouche of a pumpkin soup and goat cheese on mini naan which was delicious. We got the Gobi 65 and Chicken Angara for appetizers. Delicious. We got the paneer tiffin box. Lovely smoky flavor in the Dal. Sprout salad and paneer were good. Kathal kofta was good too, but the star of the meal was the herb flavored laccha paratha and the Gulkand mousse dessert. Drinks were okay; my paan drink was so so. I didn't get the paan flavor but my friend did so this one's on me. Another friend ordered a turmeric drink which was amazing. Left satisfied and contended!

Yelp
The ambience was ok. Lots of tables that werent cleaned and we were seated in between two of those. Eventually they cleared the plates but the tables were still dirty. The food was too pricy and was ok. The veg dum biryani didnt taste like biryani, it felt more like pulao. It was a long drive from bellevue for us and the food along with the experience didnt live up to our expectations.

Yelp
Many things to love at Kricket Club, an elevated Indian spot in Ravenna. First off, the service is fantastic. Attentive and knowledgeable we were helpfully guided to the perfect amount of food for 3. The dining room is perfect for a date night with its dark, rich, decor. Highlights: The non- alcoholic drink were on point, albeit a little pricey IMO for a drink that has zero alcohol, $15. My favorite was the Kesari Shikanji which has saffron infused syrup, lemon, cardamom. Sweet, tart, and fragrant. Gobhi 65 - crispy cauliflower, chilies, curry leaves, pickled radish. I would get this every time. The cauliflower was perfectly crispy and all the flavors melded together perfectly. Gosht Dum Biryani - slow cooked goat, saffron basmati rice, haritah raita. The goat was cooked perfectly, I only wished the basmati rice had a little bit more flavor. Nice spice. Overall, the dishes were very good. The flavors were quite similar from dish to dish. The food went perfectly with the conversation!

Yelp
Listen, if you're from India or have friends and family who can make you the most authentic Indian dishes the world has ever tasted. You're already going to hate this place before you set foot in the door... So theres nothing I could ever do or say that will live up to the grossly unrealistic picture you painted in your head of what Indian food should taste like and how much it should cost. There's plenty of restaurants that will serve you up bowls of brightly colored mush and undercooked rice for 30 bucks and give you that "authentic" feel you're after. Now if you're like me - a food forward person who loves to see boundaries pushed this place should ABSOLUTELY on top of your list to visit! And you SHOULD plan your day around this experience. This is really unlike any experience I've had with the cuisine and something I'm dying to revisit. I should also say the service was top notch, I've honestly had comparable service at Michelin stared restaurants ... So, what ever issues people were experiencing in reviews must be unique to their circumstance.

Yelp
Second visit here was just ad good as the first. The Kathi roll small plate was amazing. Paanwaala cocktail was to die for.

Yelp
Went for Mother's Day brunch. As always, the food was amazing. Our server, Deepak, was also wonderful. He gave good explanations and was genuinely interested in how we enjoyed our food.

Yelp
Went with a group of friends. Got seated almost immediately, server was attentive and drinks came quickly while we spent time going through the menu. Food was really good, great balance of flavors and portion sizes were just right. Forgot to take pictures as we had way too much to catch up on among the dinner guests. The only thing that bumps the experience down to a four for me is the loud music playing in the restaurant, makes conversation hard.

Yelp
If you are looking to eat an Indian inspired meal with an ambiance, this is the place for you. Get your wallets ready! The service is good, the staff is nice. The food and drinks were a hit or a major miss. We tried the following: Drinks 1. Several of us tried the Calcutta express. It was quite terrible. 2. Lilikoi jaljeera. This was refreshing and we quite enjoyed it. Food 1. Tiffin box saag paneer. The drama with opening the tiffin box was half the reason we ordered this. The saag paneer was just okay. 2. Tiffin box Parsi lamb salli. This one was sooo good. The lamb curry had the right amount of spice and the meat was oh so soft! The rice and daal that came with it was simple and satisfying. 3. Gilafi kebabs. The flavors were good, the meat was dry. I wish I'd just doubled my the lamb salli order! 4. Hara bhara kulcha. Stuffed lamb in a paratha? Sounds good, but no thank you. It was just so dry. 5. Masala bao. Remember when I said Indian inspired? The masala filling with the softest bao buns was a fusion winner! 6. Gobhi 65. A classic. They did not disappoint. 7. Chicken ruby. A basic chicken curry. The chef's spiced pumpkin soup was a perfect amuse bouche. It hit the spot. Overall, Kricket club has promise, I just think it's overpriced for what it delivered.

Yelp
This is the place you should go to for "those" special occasions. Why? Because, it will remain etched in your memory for a long time. Their food is very authentic and hospitality is top notch and it elevates your dining experience to another level. It is $$$, but leaves you feeling immensely satisfied. Vegetarian's review - We had made reservations (highly recommend, especially on weekends) for 6:30 pm and got seated right away at a nice table by the window. Jeremy (?) was very friendly; shared a lot of recommendations and checked on us every now and then without making us feel helicoptered / ignored. We were impressed with how sleekly and skillfully he balanced all the plates, bowls and cutlery on his arm and cleared the table after every round. Now the best part- food! He first brought us a complimentary pumpkin soup that sure tickled our tastebuds. I don't remember how he described the soup, but one sip and we knew the rest of the dinner was going to be epic! For drinks, we got the Aam Float and the Shikanji. Both were good thirst quenchers but nothing extraordinary here. We ordered the Makai Bhel Tart, Misal Pav and Masala Bao for appetizers. We were blown away by how authentic the flavors were and how creative and exquisitely they were plated. They were all as spicy as they should be. For the main course, we ordered Tiffin Box Saag Paneer, Kathal Kofta and Veg Dum Biryani along with some Warqi Parathas and Herbed Kulcha to mop it all up. The Tiffin Box came with Saag Paneer, delicious Dal Makhni, an even more delicious salad and an herbed kulcha. Everything was insanely good! Kathal Kofta was amazing as well. And the Biryani! I liked how they used purple and green cauliflower in the biryani just to make it a wee bit more exotic. I was expecting the biryani to be served dum style like I had seen in a few pictures here, but apparently that's only for the non-veg biryani. The veg doesn't have an opening ceremony at the table. I wonder why. But nevertheless, it was finger-licking good! The breads were good too. We brought back a lot of leftovers and were too stuffed for dessert. Next time? Most definitely! It will be good if they changed the menu from time to time, so we have something different to look forward to every visit.

Yelp
The super spicy food numb your brain so you can't taste the food. plus the 20% mandatory tip is included whether you like it or not.

Yelp
First time to this place .As we went on Thursday night he didn't introduce us to dinner for two. After we finished eating we asked the server if they had something like that option as we have heard about from our friends. He said oh! The host should have told you about it. The host seemed to be very pushy to order more appetizers too. Food was good, presentation was good but drink was too sweet. Ambiance was average. 20% gratuity by default added on a dinner for two too. Pretty expensive for a week night dinner for two.

Yelp
We had been meaning to dine here, and Seattle Restaurant Week was the perfect opportunity. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, particularly the chicken dishes and the complimentary pumpkin soup served at the beginning of the meal. The Indian spices were lively and complex in all of the appetizers and entrees. I can't wait to return.

Yelp
Justice done to Indian food the right way. It's an upscale Indian place and every item on the menu deserves to be tried. This was our second visit and we loved the food again. The service is fast so you can order one course at a time. Posted some pictures of the items we tried this time but every item is worth trying. Try all the cocktails in one or more visits. They are Indian themed and have a spice factor to them which I love.

Yelp
We have a heavy hitter enter the indian fine dining wars now and looks like it is here to win...! Ambience, taste and service all great. So of late, there are couple of fine dining restaurants trying to upscale the deemed unfashionable but yet tasty indian food. However, this place delivers on classy presentation without watering down the tastes. I tried their papdi chaat. Although good i felt this one was my least favorite as i felt for this dish 1 - the papdi can be smaller so they are easier to eat (1 bite...so you can maintain the ease and not have ur diners licking their fingers) 2 - less yogurt and more chutney I ordered the kathal kofta (jackfruit kofta)...this was just amazing...i am just gonna leave it at that. I do want 4 kofta balls instead of 3 so it becomes easy to share without arguments between two people. Also this way we dont end up with gravy and no kofta at end. We also got the chicken ruby...and if you thought kathal kofta was great this just was much better. Smoky, spicy and I got sweetness probably from little sugar to balance the spice. For dessert, I had the rajbhog kulfi. The kulfi was great. It could do with less sweetness...but its very subjective and I know people may love it the way it is. The fragrant rose petals (I believe they were rose...unsure) added to taste but frankly the peanut brittle (chikki) added no value to kulfi but was good. I still feel it is bit pricier than what most will be ready to shell...but hey it is fine dining so you pay for the experience a bit. Ohh and more light please in the serving area...i want to see those amazing dishes better...! Loved it and visiting again.

Yelp
It pains me to only give 3 stars to Kricket Club. The food is so delicious and if the service had come close to the caliber of the food, this would be a 5 star review. We booked dinner for New Year's Eve, which probably isn't the optimal time to visit any restaurant, but I had just had a high quality Christmas lunch elsewhere with impeccable service. When we arrived the restaurant was already full and we were seated at a table under the counter of the open kitchen. I am assuming there is usually bar seating there and that extra tables were added. This was disappointing for a few reasons. We couldn't see the cooking, the chairs were hard metal, and the room and seating was not the same quality/experience as the main dining room. We were also unfortunately seated next to a table with babies. This isn't a restaurant for babies, especially on NYE. Our first staff experience was the host who seated us and immediately told us we had two hours to finish our dinner. If they had exhibited any other hospitable signs of being a FOH professional I would be fine with a friendly reminder about the holiday dinner timeline. But they didn't, and between the babies, bad seating, and countdown to vacate, I felt stressed. To increase the pressure, no one visited our table again for at least 15 minutes. When our server appeared, they clearly weren't someone very experienced in service either. Our food started coming before our drinks, other servers and the host appeared at times (it sounds like a lot of attention, but actually wasn't!), and new courses arrived prior to finishing the last. With that all said, I appreciated that there were many dishes on the multi-course holiday menu that are normally available (our first visit). Even dishes I didn't think sounded good were flavorful and compelling. Looking at you Makai bhel tart. We had the Ghobi 65, Portuguese prawns, veg biryani, saag tiffin, cheese kulcha and kathi roll. The veg biryani was the only thing I found somewhat boring. Non-alcoholic cocktails were creative but overpriced. Given the price point at Kricket Club, it would be hard to go back knowing the experience isn't going to match the food (there are numerous reviews of poor service here, so I can't blame it all on the holiday).

Yelp
Came here on a Friday evening to celebrate my partner's birthday. We were initially seated at a two-top table along the wall (booth on one side, chairs on the other), but it was pretty tight and I felt uncomfortably close to the other diners on either side of us. I noticed the counter along the back (by the open kitchen) was open, and asked if we could be moved and the hostess was happy to accommodate. We typically enjoy sitting at the "chef's counter" so it was great to experience that here. Our server, Jeremy, was really friendly and made some great suggestions for cocktails and food. For a party of 2 he recommended one dish from each section (Chakhnas/apps, Small Plates, and Large Plates), which is actually really reasonable. FOOD: Papadi chaat ($14) - this was not one of the suggested dishes (Jeremy recommended the burrata salad), and this was the only thing we did not like. I am not familiar with this dish, and from looking at other tables we thought this would be something hot and crispy. It turned out to be a cold dish and more of a creamy consistency, with the exception of the hard cracker layer at the bottom. The flavor profile was not to our taste (really sweet from the tamarind chutney), the masala potatoes reminded me a bit of potato/egg salad, and the bottom layer was really hard and a bit difficult to eat without really digging in with the fork and knife. I found it better, personally, to eat the different layers separately. The portion size was quite large. The size of 3 big twinkies. Ceviche tadka ($20) - this was a server recommendation, and it was really tasty! I enjoyed all the elements in the dish - especially the cucumber gazpacho (and I normally am not a big fan of cucumber!) We were again impressed by the portion size. The spiced beetroots were nice and almost had a pickled potato vibe. Awadhi dum biryani ($28) - I ordered this on a friend's suggestion, and we really liked this as well! The rice and goat are cooked in the small dish with some sort of crush on top. The server cut and opened the crust on top tableside, revealing the biryani underneath. This was really flavorful, and comes with a nice raita sauce that has a bit of a kick. Watch out for little bones in the goat. My eyes were larger than my stomach here, we didn't even get halfway through and were both stuffed. DRINK: Night Manager ($17) - server recc - really tasty! The coconut water ice cube is a lovely touch. Calcutta Express ($16) - this was really savory, in a way. strong flavors Bouza Tannat A6 ($60) - we enjoyed this bottle of red from an unfamiliar varietal. (Note that the menu does contain a few typos, including the year of this vintage) After dinner drinks: Kuma Turmeric ($10) - this is a shot of some sort of turmeric liqueur. It smelled very bitter and herbaceous, but actually was pretty sweet and smooth to taste. Jaan Pan ($9) - wow! This was VERY aromatic. This smelled and tasted just like what I'd imagine perfume/cologne tastes like. Can't decide if this is a good or a bad thing.. Very unique taste and if you are curious I'd give it a try. I would probably enjoy this more in a cocktail, in small amounts. SERVICE: I really liked our server, Jeremy, and the items we ordered on his suggestion were on point so I trust his opinion. We sat across from a chef who we chatted with, and turned out he had designed the whole menu! We did mention to him that we were there for my partner's bday, or maybe the server overheard, but they surprised us with a slice of tiramisu with a nice birthday message. OVERALL: great experience! Good service, ambiance, food and cocktails. Would come back again to try more

Yelp
I had posted a review for my dinner experience back on 10/12/21 but Yelp HQ deemed it violating their terms of service algorithm. A pity because my place holder became a detailed review of which I spent a lot of green and a lot of time to write. Poof, all gone! So much for my snapshot in time. Anyways onward, over a month later on 11/28/21, I am posting something succinct in order to acknowledge my visit. A much needed exorcism and new life breathed into the former Salare space by chef/owner, Preeti Agarwal. She has demonstrated her talent with culinary metamorphosis with Pomerol to Meesha and now Salare to Kricket Club. The periodic dining scene evolution along Ravenna's NE 65th, my former 'hood, has been terrific to witness for nearly two decades. I went all out that evening starting with the tenth anniversary celebration at Book Larder and treating myself to an upscale dining experience at Kricket Club. Cocktail, apps, the tiffin box, and dessert...my previously posted photos should attach to this truncated review. Beautiful interior transformation from the former billowy Salare, to dark, mysterious Kricket Club. The closest analogies are my visits to Mamnoon on Capitol Hill, Musang on Beacon Hill, and the shuttered ahead of its time Shanik in South Lake Union. One takes sheer risks taking solid foundation entrees and putting a fresh, innovative spin on them. It's definitely not fusion. But my palate that evening was dazzled and highly anticipated items brought to my table in succession kept my attention. It was so delightful not to have pandemic takeout, but an actual seated multi course dinner. It was just after their soft opening, so not everything was on point. It was all business at the host stand dealing with check-in reservations, remaining masked, and showing C19 proof of vaccination. There were folks seated at the bar, several two/four tops occupied and a large party that took up the communal table during my visit. The bar staff were hopping crafting so many cocktails. I'm sure likewise the kitchen staff were backed up with the influx of guests seated. However, I was well taken care of by two wait staff working the area in tandem. Kricket Club is a welcomed destination. Only time will tell whether it has what it takes to be sustainable long term.

Yelp
Kricket Club was an absolute delight! A friend of ours was able to snag an 8:15 pm reservation on a Friday night - a perfect time since we knew that the restaurant wouldn't need the table after that, so we could linger for quite a while. We ordered, in no particular order... Drinks: -The Heavenly Orchard cocktail -Lilikoi Jaljeera mocktail -Aam shake The Heavenly Orchard cocktail had a lovely apple aroma and was blended well. I had high hopes for the mocktail but unfortunately I wasn't impressed by it... also it had just as much liquid as the cocktail, which was weird since it doesn't have alcohol. I would totally skip it - the only lowlight of the night. On the other hand, the aam shake was floral and creamy and a perfect complement to a meal full of spices. Food: -Makhana Fry -Cauliflower Patio -Gilafi kebab -Kala tikka murg -Awadhi dum biryani -Tiffin box lamb salli -Miss roti -Cheese kulcha We loved everything! The Makhana fry is a snacky dish which we would have bought by the pound if we could. The cauliflower patio was perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. The Gilafi kebab was soft and savory. The Kala tikka murg was a very tender spiced chicken - I don't know if the activated charcoal did much for it, though. But it was still good. The presentation of the Awadhi dum biryani was lovely - and there was so much of it! We also loved how the tiffin box came out - yet another dish that's absolutely perfect for sharing. The two breads were also good, but the cheese kulcha was our favorite by far over the miss roti. Dessert: -Malpua rabri -Rajhbog kulfi -Irani chai Finally, dessert, which was also wonderful. The malpua rabri was a somewhat heavy dessert due to the pancakes on top, but still good - it went excellent with the Irani chai. I particularly loved the kulfi, but I may be biased - I love all kulfi. All and all, it's a bit pricey but for once, I thought it was worth it. The service was attentive and friendly. Food was brought out in perfect succession. Due note that 20% gratuity is included. Highly recommend and definitely looking to come back - you'll definitely need a reservation, though!

Yelp
Loved the food and ambience. I'm very skeptical to try Indian fusion food. It's rarely good. Being an Indian I am fully satisfied and so was my husband, who's birthday we celebrated. It's expensive, but their portion sizes are better than their peers. Great presentation and awesome taste. Ambience is very cozy. Great for date night. They give complimentary pumpkin soup and bite sized naan. Bun maska with chai made me feel at home. Kathi roll can be better as they stuffed it with too many flavors. Kathi rolls are best kept simple ( coming from Kolkata I know what I'm saying ). Kofta was very well made. I wish they didn't charge 20% gratuity on top of tip. That would be my only gripe. But I rate it as the best indo fusion food in Seattle. Beats Rasai -my other fav.

Yelp
I am loving this corner of Ravenna. There's Wataru, Isarn, and as of last weekend, Kricket Club. Kricket Club is Chef Preeti Agarwal's newest restaurant, paying homage to Mumbai and New Delhi street food in a hip & sophisticated setting. We were whisked over to the bar while our table was still setting up. I personally can't turn down a good cocktail, and Kricket Club's cocktail menu did not disappoint. I ended up with their Late Night Show: whiskey, creme de cacao, mole bitters, popcorn syrup with the rim dusted with coco nib sugar. I think this has been one of the more exciting drinks I've had in awhile. I love the different layers of flavors from this cocktail and thought that it was a nice touch to add a small paper cone with a couple pieces of popcorn to complete the look. My fiance went with the Calcutta Express: mezcal, harissa, rose and pomegranate, which was a nice contrast to my cocktail. I love the slight kick you get from the harissa. Now onto the food. I wish we came here with another couple so we could try more things but I think we did pretty good for our first visit: Portuguese Prawns These prawns are topped over a piece of semolina puri and accompanied with green mango. I love the sauce the prawns were dressed in, and it's a lot easier to just dig in with your hands than divide with the utensils. Burrata Salad I thought this was a gorgeous salad with heirloom tomatoes, pumpkin humus, and mint while the burrata was dusted with aleppo. I love the textures you get from the carrots and burrata and getting that nice cool mint to compliment it all. Sweet Potato Poriyal Mixed with mustard seeds and curry leaves, I enjoyed this side a lot. And they're very generous with the curry leaves. Then again, you will notice that with a lot of the dishes at Kricket Club. Gilafi Kebabs Minced goat with cheese and presented like mini tacos, with a thinly sliced radish round for each kebab. Overall, I thought this was a nice small plate to share to contrast from the prawns and saag paneer. Tiffin Box Saag Paneer I have never heard of tiffins until my visit here. Tiffins are a lunch box set fastened together to hold different compartments of a meal. Our set came with saag paneer, missi roti, house dal, and kachumber salad. I am still dreaming of that dal, I think that was my favorite thing I ate that entire night. I do wish there was more paneer in our tiffin, as there were only 3 large chunks. The kachumber salad was pretty spicy and tasty too. Unfortunately, we were too stuff to check out their dessert menu. Which is fine as we'll have another excuse to visit again soon. Aside from the usual kinks of a soft opening, I thought everything from the food to service was spot on. I highly recommend checking out Kricket Club for a tasty and chill dine-in spot.

Yelp
The ambiance of KC is so incredible- the best way to describe this food emotionality delicious. It's traditionally unique with out of the world food. There is so much love in the food. The spice is medium and I cannot handle spice but this was perfect. The server was so knowledgeable I was blown away .Don't miss this place!

Yelp
Beautifully tasty food with wonderful service, also a place where you can have a real conversation
