Yelp
This restaurant, which features a variety of Asian food, came highly rated on Yelp, so I wanted to try it.
It's decorated with an Asian pop culture flair. On the day we went, we were in the mood for Filipino food. So we had lumpia, pork adobo, and chicken pancit.
The lumpia was good. It was nice and crunchy and savory. The pork was tender and flavorful in the adobo but I did not taste any vinegar nor that soy/vinegar flavor that makes a good adobo. I felt like I simply was eating a pork stew. The pancit, too, was just OK with the chicken being a little dry.
We decided to have dessert and hubby got an Oreo croffle (croissant waffle), which he said he expected to be warm, but it was cold. I adore Halo Halo and had to order one. The ice had the texture of a snow cone instead of shaved ice and there was one kind of bean in the dessert and lots of sweet additions (boba, coconut jelly, etc). I am used to at least 2-3 kinds of beans. Nevertheless, it was refreshing.
Maybe the restaurant's sushi offerings and other Asian entrees provide a better punch. But to me, its Filipino fare was not up to par.
Our waitress was pleasant but barely spoke to us. We weren't sure if she didn't have a command of English or just preferred as little conversation as possible with patrons.
With one appetizer, two meals, two desserts, tax, and tip our bill was about $83.
