The 8 Best Thai Restaurants in Broward County, Florida | Eater Miami

"Ramen, sushi, and Asian street food abound at this contemporary 17th Street gem. But, Kubo’s interpretation of khao soi is the must, drenched in a thick yellow curry, red onions, green sour mustard, and more. It’s large enough to share... if you’re not naturally inclined to eat every drop of it. There’s now a Coral Springs outpost, too."

The Best Sushi Restaurants in Broward County and Fort Lauderdale | Eater Miami

"It can be hard to stray from KUBO’s fan favorite, kao soi ramen, an ultra-creamy take on the Northern Thai favorite layered with pickled vegetables and zesty red onion. However, its sushi menu is worth the adventure, with larger platters — some designed for groups of 10 — arriving on flashy boat-shaped dishes."

Had a late dinner, while we were there, there was a good turnover of customers so this is clearly a popular go-to. My daughter and I ordered bulgogi bun and lumpia to start, then she had Yaki udon w/beef and I had pancit w/chicken. The lumpia and pancit were average, the udon and bulgogi were delicious. The Oreo tempura was way too greasy and we did not enjoy the flavor, the Thai donut was good. Service to take our order was quick and the appetizers came out quick. The entrees and the dessert took a long time so the pace was a little uneven. Also, other than ordering and delivering the food, no one checked in on us to see if we needed anything. I tried 3x to catch someone's attention to order a side of white rice, 4th time got me noticed.

After all the Yelp hype we couldn’t wait to try Kubo. The menu and the ambiance is overwhelmingly pleasing. If you are an anime fan you will be super delighted with the decor! The service was friendly and receptive. They have a wonderful selection of Bobo bubble teas and the Choco was a decadent delight as were the cocktails. Unfortunately the food fell short. The Tonkatsu was in a delicious curry sauce but the meat was dryish. The hot and sour soup was quite good. The Thai pork dumplings were hardly edible. They came out barely lukewarm and the texture and taste were awful. Worst dumplings we have had we left 3 of the 4. Because of the huge menu and overall experience we will return to see if we just ordered the wrong dish.

Google
We had Rangoons and 2 rolls and then closed it out with the Lava Thai Donut. The rangoons are smaller than what we are used to seeing but stuffed more full, so, less wonton, more cream cheese. Very tasty. We had a green dragon and an orange dragon; both excellent rolls and very good size. Most places we order 3 rolls and in this case I'm glad we didn't, that would have been too much. The Lava Thai Donut was way more dessert than we anticipated. It's 8 pieces covered in chocolatey goodness and some whipped cream.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Kubo Asian Fusion and Bar in Fort Lauderdale, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I ordered the udon noodles with shrimp, and I must say, they were among the best I’ve ever had. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the shrimp was fresh and flavorful, and the dish was well-balanced and satisfying. Every bite reflected the kitchen’s attention to quality and technique. For dessert, I asked the waitress for a recommendation and was introduced to the burnt ube cheesecake. It was absolutely outstanding—rich, smooth, and bursting with unique flavor. A truly memorable dessert. The presentation of each dish was impeccable, adding to the overall dining experience. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was both stylish and comfortable, making it a great place for both casual and special occasions. Overall, Kubo Asian Fusion offers an elevated dining experience with excellent food, thoughtful service, and beautifully presented dishes. I highly recommend it and look forward to visiting again.

Google
Great atmosphere and food. Have been here twice and both I got great service, ambiance and food. Today (Sunday night) I sat at the bar by myself and the bartender was very sweet and super tentative. I got the Chicken gyozas and the Wagyu steak Donburi. ( I was between that and the salmon poke bowl.) O M G. The Wagyu was So good! I also had the Thai Tea Crepe cake, it was perfect! Not too sweet, or overpowering. Prices are fair, food is really great! I will definitely come again. Totally recommend! Plus they close late every night! This is a must on a friendly budget.

I loved the beauty and the beast drink and they had an option for chicken sushi roll which I love because I’m allergic to shellfish but love different kinds of sushi which do not have shellfish of course. Would recommend !

My friends and I have been going to Kubo since 2021 and I have never once had a bad meal. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and the food is always fresh and delicious. Great for groups.

Yelp
Service: first of all the service here was amazing very fast and very kind service. Our waiter was very generous and gave us our food quickly as well as the check. The atmosphere in this restaurant is amazing. I love all the decorations around the restaurant in honor of Asian culture such as the cherry tree and the bathroom with all anime comic strips. It is a really cool restaurant design. I love it. Food: I got the spicy tuna sushi rolls as well as the avocado rolls. They were very delicious especially the avocado ones with a little bit of wasabi and soy sauce. It was a delicious delight. I also got the miso soup as an appetizer. It was very warm and tasty. Good way to start off the meal. It was very hot so just be careful. you don't wanna burn yourself. I really loved my meal. I have no complaints whatsoever and so that is why my rating is so high perfect food delicious savored every bite. My mother got the bento box. There's a lot of different options. She ordered a second option that came with sushi and sashimi she loved it. It comes with a seaweed salad and a miso soup as an option for an appetizer included. It was great overall sounds like we had a great time. I recommend this place Because of the atmosphere food and service. Cheers!

Yelp
Partner and I stopped by KUBO to fill his passion for sushi. We were warmly greeted at the door and given a window table overlooking the parking lot, The interior decor of KUBO is eye pleasing enough and the general layout is nice. First, we had a couple cocktails and reviewed the menu which contained an. abundance of choices. I chose the Spicy Girl Roll....you might know...LOL...made up of spicy tuna, salmon, avocado, cream cheese, tempura flake, scallion I/O topped with Kani salsa, masago, sesame seed, wasabi mayo and kimchi sauce. Partner had a King of the Sea roll with Uni, masago, scallion and a special chef sauce that remains a mystery. We were both pleased with service and our meals, though not exceptional.

Yelp
Food was ok. Love all the anime decors. The yaki udon was wayyy too sweet. The rolls were ok. Seems fresh. The tako yaki was meh and so was the calamari. Over all, it was ok. Service was a bit slow. Appetizers came out later than it should. Oh don't get the bubble tea, the tapioca was old, def wasn't made fresh daily.

Yelp
We came back and the food was so good again. The service was great as well. I will keep coming back. The lumpia's are amazing.

Yelp
After spending some time in South Florida, I was craving some Filipino food. I found this place on Yelp and decided to give this place a try. Coincidentally, this was also really close to our hotel, so it worked out. We arrived for happy hour, so we were able to order a handful of items. The items included the following: + lumpia + Thai dumplings + Korean chili wings We also ordered a few items that were not on the menu + sisig + bao bun + ube basque cheesecake The items were pretty good. My favorite was the bao bun, but my husband really liked the wings. I was really looking forward to the basque ube cheesecake and the sisig, but unfortunately they were just okay. Overall a pretty good place for Asian fusion, especially if you're looking for Japanese, Thai, or Filipino cuisine.

Yelp
We had been to a musical nearby and searched in Yelp for a highly rated restaurant that would open late. We decided to visit Kubo on a Sunday night at around 10:00 pm. We were so pleasantly surprised when we walked in, the entire restaurant felt so welcoming and inviting. There was lovely music playing at just the right volume. Every patron seemed to be engaged in fun conversations while enjoying their food. We were promptly seated in a booth and our waiter came a few moments later. The service that we received was so beautiful by our waiter, he was on top of every detail needed to make our meal enjoyable. I ordered the beef bulgogi which came sizzling, it was accompanied by lettuce and rice. I ate them as lettuce wraps and absolutely loved the flavor and texture of the meat. My husband had the Tom Kha Gai and he loved the flavor, he also had the Kobu fried rice and loved it! We will certainly go back when we are in the area.

Yelp
I love Kubo's happy hour, it's so worth for the appetizers. And they're pretty filling! The lumpia was kinda standard, but standard lumpia is still pretty delicious. Especially when it comes out piping hot and with lots of sauce to dip into. The orange pork ribs were really good too. The meat was practically falling off the bone and the sweet stickiness of the sauce was addicting. The sashimi tasted pretty fresh and the presentation was beautiful. And the ramen was pretty good too!

Yelp
This place was amazing. We can for a dinner with a bachelorette party and they went all out making it special with a song and bubble gum. The food was incredible and very fresh. The servers were very helpful and kind . The resturant had a cool anime decor

Yelp
My kid joined us on his Spring Break and asked for some good Asian food. So our first stop in town was Kubo. It is located in a strip mall with parking. There is booth seating and a full bar. We came between lunch and dinner so it was not so busy. We ordered 2 house specialties: Sisig and Chicken Teriyaki as well as the Beef Bulgogi Soupless Ramen. Our dishes filling and tasty. Service is friendly and efficient. Extensive menu. I recommend it!

Yelp
Great place! Fantastic Korean Beef nap bun. Delicious tuna tataki. Jinro was fun. Service was great. Nice atmosphere! Will definitely return

Yelp
Super cute bar and restaurant. They have so many options to choose from, anyone can find something even if they don't like sushi. Everything was delish!

Yelp
Have bookmarked the Coral Springs location for a while and when we happened to be in the Fort Lauderdale area, I Yelped which restaurants were highly-rated and recommended and Kubo was one of the options. Quick and friendly service. They have a huge menu with their take on popular dishes from Japan, Thailand, Korea, China and the Philippines. For our visit on the evening of 12/22, we ended up going with all Filipino food: Pork Sinigang, Sisig and Chicken Adobo. Generous portions and tasty. Not authentic as what I am used to but it was pretty good. I understand the Chef has to accommodate American palates to appeal to a larger audience.

Yelp
I started liking Thai food because of Kubo. I thought I never really like it until I had their food. Been here a few times and every time I had a great time with good food. The restaurante ambience and decor is fun and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Everything from drinks, appetizers, main entree and deserts is good. The Thai dumplings are really good, the pad thai and fried rice are great and the portions are really big. The specialty drinks are yummy too. Definitely recommend and can't wait to go back and try some of their other dishes.

Yelp
I haven't had sushi this well prepped and delicious in a while. Each piece of sashimi was large and fresh. Same with each piece of nigiri, and they all just melt in your mouth. The boat was so pretty, with the mini cherry blossom tree and color changing lights. Great menu item to share with friends/family. The halo halo was the sweet cherry on top. It was authentic, pretty, delicious, and a huge portion size. It included all of the essential ingredients along with some extra ones that I was pleasantly surprised to have mixed in. The inside of the restaurant is dark and gives off an elegant yet casual vibe. All of the employees greet with a smile and are quick to get you whatever you may need.

Yelp
This restaurant, which features a variety of Asian food, came highly rated on Yelp, so I wanted to try it. It's decorated with an Asian pop culture flair. On the day we went, we were in the mood for Filipino food. So we had lumpia, pork adobo, and chicken pancit. The lumpia was good. It was nice and crunchy and savory. The pork was tender and flavorful in the adobo but I did not taste any vinegar nor that soy/vinegar flavor that makes a good adobo. I felt like I simply was eating a pork stew. The pancit, too, was just OK with the chicken being a little dry. We decided to have dessert and hubby got an Oreo croffle (croissant waffle), which he said he expected to be warm, but it was cold. I adore Halo Halo and had to order one. The ice had the texture of a snow cone instead of shaved ice and there was one kind of bean in the dessert and lots of sweet additions (boba, coconut jelly, etc). I am used to at least 2-3 kinds of beans. Nevertheless, it was refreshing. Maybe the restaurant's sushi offerings and other Asian entrees provide a better punch. But to me, its Filipino fare was not up to par. Our waitress was pleasant but barely spoke to us. We weren't sure if she didn't have a command of English or just preferred as little conversation as possible with patrons. With one appetizer, two meals, two desserts, tax, and tip our bill was about $83.

Yelp
Back again! Can't get enough! A friend wanted to grab a quick bite in the area and said have you ever been? Clearly they haven't seen my reviews. Yes! This time I opted for the pad Thai, crab Rangoon, fried rice and of course boba! They gave us so much fried rice we had to take it to go. Lunch for tomorrow! Thanks again for the wonderful service and great vibes!

Yelp
Loved this place - has a huge variety. Thai, Japanese and Filipino! Truly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Had the ube cheesecake 10/10

Yelp
Friendly service sat right down at 10:30 for dinner and the server was busy but still made it over quickly. Nice full bar and sushi. I started with a seaweed salad, very fresh and tasty withstand carrots and cucumber Then the homage pork dumplings came nicely steamed with flavor and light crunch. Then came the Tam Kah soup with shrimp. they were kind enough to remove the tails. the soup was so full of flavor it was terrific! Followed by the Salmon lover spicy roll. the music was top 40 in the background and not loud at all. just perfect background music. Sweet chilli wings came as my meal this was a perfect meal to complete a full day. Did I mention the Happy hour early and late specials!

Yelp
We went yesterday! For San Valentine's and was amazed and surprised even for the holiday we didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes. Their customer service is great! And server recommendations were great! We had the spicy tuna bite and 2 sushi rolls! It was delicious and a lot! Worth coming back to try other plates! Ah and the place was nice, their decoration different and beautiful.

Yelp
We were here for dinner on a really late Saturday night , and we were glad this was open. There's plenty of tables inside , we were seated right away. As vegetarians we tried the following : Vegan Roll : 4/5. This was a good roll. The wasabi was a little too spicy. Garlic edamame : 4/5. The flavors on this were different from what we have had in the past. Fried Rice: 4/5. The rice had good amount of veggies in it , and liked the smokiness of the rice. Basil Tofu : 4/5. This was the right amount of spicy. Loved the sauce that this came in.

Yelp
I didn't take any pictures of my food. I was too busy gobbling it down!! This is exactly what I call a five star restaurant amazing service and even more incredible food. The flavor profiles are so complex and delicious everything from fusion sushi is to die for!! My absolute favorite would be Korean style barbecue pork Bao buns - BUT the shrimp tempura was truly scrumptious! Why can't I say awesome music, great atmosphere & super central spot! If you're nearby, if you're on the fence, you won't regret it check this place out !!!

Yelp
The food was EXTREMELY good and every time I've come here, the food never disappoints me. Even the drinks are good. I ate a boatload of food AND topped it off with dessert. I regret absolutely nothing. Every single thing I had was delicious. The pad Thai was not dry and full of flavor. Both the Kubo roll and Japanese lover roll was extremely good but I liked the Japanese lover roll more because I love sushi with a jalapeño slice on top. The beautiful purple cheesecake that you see in the attached below was phenomenal and was the perfect texture. Everything was presented creatively and alluring which makes the food taste even better. Our server was awesome as well. She was very attentive and efficient. I honestly love KUBO, I've come here so many times and will continue to. If you have never tried this place, YOU NEED TO.

Yelp
Always love stopping by here for some dinner. One of my favorite spots. Food is great. Service is great. Drinks are even better. Perfect spot for lunch/dinner. Literally anything you order is delicious. The baos never disappoint. Specially the beef bugolgi. The meat is packed with flavor and tender. Definitely recommend for casual lunch/dinner plans.

Yelp
I was on vacation and like to try new (to me) places, and this place was conveniently located and absolutely delicious. The parking was easy, and the employees were insanely knowledgeable and kind! The vibe of the restaurant was nice too, very clean, music was good, and the aesthetic and designs were welcoming. I will be back here!

Yelp
Kubo is such a fun spot! The sushi is always incredibly fresh, making it the perfect date night spot. My boyfriend and I love a good Kubo night. The bar has specialty drinks, and Nat has always been our favorite bartender. Plus their late night happy hour is unbeatable! Highly recommend for great sushi, drinks, and a great atmosphere.

Yelp
Simply amazing! The reviews are on point. The food here is so flavorful and delicious. The menu has many choices and the service was really good. Everything we ordered was soooo GOOD! This is about 45 min away and I would drive just for the food. Also, try the smoked Old Fashioned.

Yelp
SOOOO happy that this was one of the places open late for us to grab a bite after our flight. They have a late night happy hour that got us even more excited for our meal. It includes drink deals and appetizer deals. Lychee mojito is top tier! Crab rangoons were smaller than I'm used to getting from Thai places but still good. The handrolls were DELICIOUS! The fish was fresh and I liked how their spicy salmon was whole pieces of salmon instead of the mushy ground type. The shrimp tempura roll was delicious as always and pretty large. Their Moo Ping (pork belly skewers) were also superb. Great sauce and flavorful, and the pork belly was soft. Comes with 5 skewers. My friend had the bulgogi baos and she loved them. The baos were perfectly pillowy and the bulgogi had good flavor. We also had the Kubo Fried Rice and that dish is a pretty good portion size. They have a pretty expansive menu which was overwhelming at first but it was nice to have lots of options. The space is dim and moody, and it was still pretty busy for it being 11pm when we got there.
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
Love this spot! So close to the airport so when you have a late flight in, their late night kitchen is PERRRRFECT for having a spot to go to with good few, nice drinks and a late night vibe. I've been here a few times and love it.

Yelp
There is no dearth of good Thai places in the city but Kubo still stands out among them with decent ambiance and very reasonable prices. We were a party of 3, came here for an early dinner on a sunday and it was a relaxed atmosphere. We were attended well and the service was prompt. I had chicken ramen and spring rolls. The broth was flavorful and the rolls were nicely crispy. The portions were big too. It is on a busy street close to Broward Health but parking was no problem because they had their own lot. I came with a friend who does residency at BH and it was his suggestion. He is a regular here.
google avatar

Yelp
My coworkers and I love to come here for a quick bit for lunch! Quick service and good food, big portions.
google avatar

Zaneta F.

Yelp
Delicious food, really enjoyed the mango matcha croffle as well as the beef bulgogi which arrived to the table sizzling, accompanied by rice and lettuce. The fish was fresh and the sushi roll well made. The pork belly in the bao bun was so soft and tender and the combination with pineapple and hard boiled egg was unexpected for me but worked so well. The overall atmosphere is so cute and fun, great lively background music and beautiful vibrant decor, animated comic book style menus were a nice touch as well.
google avatar

Gabi Y.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place out! It has so many different Asian dishes and I was surprised to see so many Filipino dishes (which made me super happy)! Everything was delicious, but the halo halo was a little hard to eat because of the kind of bowl they used. I would come back for sure!

Cam K.

Yelp
Been going to this place for years! Huge fan of the soft shell crab bao buns. Great environment too.

Yelp
Very good sushi, clean and esthetically pleasing ambiance, spacious, great service... You can't go wrong! I have been here twice in one week. The hostess was able to seat me and my friend immediately. The waitress came over within 5 minutes to take our order. She went over the menu with us and described some of their most popular entrees and rolls. We went with some of her recommendations. We ordered the fried orange glazed ribs, pork belly bao buns, honeymoon roll, and the fire dragon roll. Everything was yumm! The bao buns were good. The tender pork belly, wedged between sweet buns, served with scallions and pineapple. They were good, but I like mine a little saucy. The orange glazed ribs were also good. They were sweet, crispy, and tender. Both sushi rolls were absolutely perfect. I enjoyed the honeymoon roll the most, but both rolls were delicious. For desserts, we had the croffles. It was a great way to end lunch. The croffles are not too sweet. They are topped with fresh cream, fruits, or toppings of your choice. It was light, fluffy, fresh, and all of the flavors were balanced. The service was excellent. The waitresses are beautiful, kind, energetic, and accommodating. I highly recommend it, and I will definitely be back soon!

Greg H.

Yelp
Do not bring your kids here or adults that may be offended by vulgar language/music! I had lunch here and the F bombs were virtually in every recording that was played. The food is actually very good, however the profanity in their "eh hm" music is beyond belief!

Jorge M.

Yelp
Food is great, service is very nice, The deco makes it feel like a Thai Restaurant The spicy endemame was great no complaints at all look forward to coming back.

Yelp
This restaurant is absolutely delicious. I have tried about several dishes (more than 10) and they are all 5 star quality. The service was subpar, very attentive and tables already have shared plates, napkins and utensils from the moment you are seated. The waiters are very nice and explain the dishes if you have questions. They also do not leave your used plates and very attentive in keeping your table clean. The ambiance was very welcoming for a night out, it has anime-esque decorations and the music was amazing with a playlist of variety with songs I forgot I loved! Make sure to order appetizers while you wait for your main dish, as they take pride making your food since everything that comes out tastes so fresh. One of my favorite places in Ft. lauderdale

Yelp
Great vibes, good music all while you eat great Phillipino food. Close much later than other restaurants

Yelp
Love this place. It had become our go to for sushi, Thai and even ramen. Ambiance is cool with a little anime theme. Service is always very good as well.

Yelp
It was our family'S first time In Florida, and we were with a friend. That place was amazing! My children loved that place and they enjoyed EVERYTHING especially the anime style deco around! Would highly recommend it if your around that area.

Yelp
This place was very good! I came with a large group and we all shared and everything I tried was delicious!! Everything from the gyoza to the sushi to the noodles all really good! The server was nice and tried to make recommendations that were helpful! I would recommend checking it out if you're nearby. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Came here with my family on our trip to South Florida! My husband is an anime fan so he loved the decor on the walls and the figurines. Food was good! We really enjoyed it. The coconut salmon curry was out of our comfort but was our favorite! The menu is extensive and has been options! We also had a couple sushi rolls with the bento and bulgogi bao buns. We tried the Croffle. It was mediocre. Nothing too special but it tasted good. It was a weekday for a late lunch. It was a bit slow when we got there. Not too many customers. It picked up as the evening began. Service was decent. Just felt our waitress was not interested. Sorry to say, but she was also coughing without a mask. Made me feel a little uncomfortable especially since she was serving while around our baby sitting there. Isn't it good practice in most establishments to wear a mask if you have respiratory symptoms? Overall, good restaurant for food. Wait staff etiquette was not up to par imo.

Yelp
Pricey and not good at all. We ordered lechon kawali, pancit, and sinigang, and none of them is good. I'm gonna be nice and stop right here.

Yelp
Love the ambiance and service at this Asian fusion restaurant. A friend brought me here last year and it quickly became one of my favorite restaurants. I would say I dine here at least once per week.

5-Star for Kubo Asian Fusion!! We had an amazing time at Kubo Asian Fusion! The ambiance was fantastic, making for a great dining experience. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and dessert, and everything was delicious. The flavors were well-balanced and the presentation was spot-on. Great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family.

Yelp
The food is a fusion of Thai, Vietnamese, Filipino, Chinese, and Japanese. The service was awesome and the chef came out to suggest new drinks that she created and explained the concept of the drinks to make them her own style. There are 2 sections to this place. 1 is the main dining area, and the other is a little cafe/barista type station that was connected where you can order desserts and drinks to go. Would definitely come back for the delicious food. I enthusiastically recommend that you come stop by to try this place if you are craving Asian inspired food.
