This place is super amazing 🤩 Service is amicable and the whole course was done in perfection ❤️ menu was scripted with guess name. Such small details really add on to a romantic experience. It’s a long overdue review. We had our dinner on 25th Jan 2025

My wife and I had an absolutely amazing time at L’amant Secret. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. The food was spectacular, true fine dining at its best. Each course was a delight, paired beautifully with excellent bread. The star of the meal was the chicken, hands down the best I’ve ever had. The service was impeccable. The "goodbye kiss" with coffee or tea added a sweet touch to the end of our meal, and we were pleasantly surprised with a small gift to take home. The staff also noticed my wife's love for their bread trio (baguette, brioche and sourdough) and kindly gave us some to take away. We booked through CatchTable and didn't realize staying guests at L’Escape could get a 10% discount. After paying, the staff who had been taking care of us chased us down when he noticed we didn't have our coats (ergo, we were hotel guests). He clarified the discount, helped us refund and redo the bill. Such a lovely gesture! Terrific eye. Overall, it was a perfect evening from start to finish. L’amant Secret made our night unforgettable.

Honestly I could have cried. My first dining experience in Korea (also my first time solo dining) and it was absolute perfection. The staff were lovely beyond words. Friendly and welcoming and absolute professionals. The food was incredible - if I had to pick a personal favourite I’d be torn between the caviar + winter root vegetables, and the scallop + pohangcho. And the Memories of Jeju Island! And the Goodbye Kiss! I was a little worried to hear they didn’t do cocktails as I’m not into wine however the white wine the sommelier chose for me was the best white wine I’ve ever tasted. The beautiful fine dining touches were present - from careful timing of topping up drinks to wiping the table of bread crumbs to perfectly paced courses to providing towels and water for hand cleansing. I implore you to visit this beautiful restaurant - the stunning decor and ambience starts from the moment you walk through the entrance to the building. And if you appreciate wine, it’s a must - the wine list is epic. L’amant Secret has certainly set the bar incredibly high for the rest of my time in Seoul!

This was possibly the best meal of my entire life. I would give it 10 stars if I could! From the start to the end, everything was so carefully thought of and there’s nothing I can think of that could make it better. Menu - I love that each menu is printed with your name, it feels so personal and just makes you feel good. It comes with a nice envelope as well for you to take home as a little souvenir Food - every dish was so creative, and the different flavours came together so intricately. The flavour profile of every dish was amazing and they really don’t skimp out on anything. I’ve been to many fine dining restaurants and some have dishes that are hits and misses but everything here was a hit. Service - didn’t get her name but there was this particularly smiley waitress who I really liked! Her recommendations for the wines, offering a second serving of a sauce I liked, and friendliness was just the cherry on top to our night. The chefs and this waitress also miraculously understood our situation without us mentioning anything, and provided some 서비스 which really added a personal touch and we highly appreciated it. Atmosphere - tables are more than adequately spaced out, window view is awesome especially during the sunset, music is so relaxing and lights are not too dim yet not too bright. A perfectly romantic intimate setting. Ladies’ bathroom also has a pretty view of namsan tower! Everything about this experience feels like a fever dream and I would go back time and time again if I lived in Korea! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, it has a special place in my heart now. I will forever cherish this memory!

Really liked the ambience of the restaurant. The floral decoration as you entered the restaurant was visually stunning. Their sour dough and butter was really delicious, and I couldn’t help but keep going for another piece throughout the lunch. The pumpkin butter was to die for. I personally don’t enjoy dill, but they somehow managed to make it delicious with their halibut dish. The attention to detail of the waiter was amazing. It somehow came up during our conversation that I was visiting from Canada, and he went back to the kitchen and asked the chefs to add a maple leaf to the cake decor, which I really appreciated. In addition, he saw how much I enjoyed the sour dough bread throughout the lunch and packed an additional loaf for me to take home after the meal. Overall, definitely would recommend visiting, and I’d love to come back for dinner one day.

This review is well over-due. Dined here a couple weeks ago to celebrate gf's birthday and had the loveliest dining experience here. Ambience: Very warm and romantic. Excellent spacing between tables which makes it feel like you have the whole restaurant to yourself. We were seated by a window. There's not much to lookout at but was nice to be by some natural light. Food & Presentation: From the opening with the personalized tasting menu provided in a traditional red enveloped to the pre-1st course add-on that was presented with a cool pop-up image showing the dining room and some key people working at the restaurant to the main course featuring a young chicken and a fun dessert that resembled a cotton candy hot air balloon, the food both looked and tasted amazing. Also absolutely loved the bread and butter. Drink Pairing: The only ding I can provide in the overall experience was that the drink pairings weren't entirely clear during the meal, both in terms of what to expect and what the pairing add-on cost was. Service: Was warmer and more personable than you sometimes get with a Michelin starred restaurant. The food pacing was excellent and never felt rushed. Our main server was lovely and informed us at the end of evening that it was her first time using English at the restaurant as she was filling in for their usual lead English speaking server. That was pretty impressive as she had no problem communicating the fine details of the meal at all, and showed good humor when she got hung up on a word. At the end of the night, she also provided a couple extra pieces of the bread which we loved so much. Parking: Don't know as we were able to walk here easily from our hotel in the Myeongdong area. Overall: Would def go back the next time we are in Seoul.

5 star all around!! Every dish is tasty, creative and so well presented. They incorporate some local Korean ingredients which is so fun. Service is top notch. Did I mention they let you pick pretty much as many chocolates in the end as you want? I will definitely come back again when they change menu. Highly recommend!!!
